I'm still figuring out the whole working with lawyers thing, and in my blind flailing attempts to reach out for legal help, I called Bob Buchanan, just going by his Yelp reviews. Bob spent a good half hour with me over the phone, listening to my case, asking intelligent questions, and giving me excellent advice. Although he did not think my particular case was an ideal match for his specialty, business tax law, he laid out for me a range of strategies for proceeding forward, and established that I had excellent legal grounds to build a case should it go to court. I appreciated his entire approach with me: his careful listening, his helpful tone, his intelligence, sense of humor, and his legal counsel. Now I know who to turn to in the Bay Area when I need for a lawyer for my own small business. I'm definitely going to ask Bob Buchanan first. Thanks, Bob, for the great assistance you gave me today.

I worked with Bob during the start-up phase of my retail venture, and I can't recommend him highly enough. He educated me on how best to minimize my risks and helped me to understand and navigate incorporation, trademarks and contracts. Bob Buchanan has been a huge help to me this past year. He was recommended to me by three different people when I was out looking for an honest, smart, hard-working, straightforward attorney with experience setting up and managing the legal aspects of a small business. I hired Bob to represent my business in October of 2007 and have continued to work closely with him since then. Bob and his team were very helpful walking me through the process of putting my new business together and has been the voice of reason on several occasions and topics ranging from choosing between LLC or Corporation, structuring partnerships, and making sure that I'm operating my business according to State and City regulations. The advice he has given me has been sound and his turnaround time on work has been quick. I give him top marks all around.

I met Bob several years ago, about a year after I'd started my business here in the Financial District. Prior to that, I had had to consult an attorney in SF only once, and it was very expensive, very impersonal, and frankly, he was not very helpful in the end, nor was he friendly-- he refused to meet me face to face, and insisted on working over the phone and via email. As a result of that, I feel lucky to have met Bob, because he and his staff (Thank you too, Bina!) have helped me through at least 3 or 4 different legal/business/personal situations since I've known him. His bottom line is integrity, and while he is extremely professional, smart, considerate, and straightforward, he is also friendly and has a sense of humor. Buchanan Law Group is highly recommended to anyone seeking an experienced business attorney who is dedicated to your current and future needs.
