I'm a self-proclaimed latte-snob who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I've been spoiled by a local coffee roaster shop that takes its coffee VERY seriously.  On a recent road trip through Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho, I had all but given up on finding tasty espresso drinks.  My heart sank as I went from place to place that acted surprised if I didn't ask for a flavor shot or offered me whipped cream on my latte as a standard add-on.

I can't even express my delight upon stumbling into Bucer's.  Not only was the shop the perfect place to pass a few hours on my laptop (heavy wood furniture and the smell of leather and coffee... yum!), but my latte was outstanding.  I was so impressed with the quality of the roast and the talent of the barista (wish I caught his name - he had curly brown hair and was super nice) that I ordered a Cuban espresso.  It was just as good.  They roast and sell their own beans, so you can even bring the tastiness home with you.

I concur with a previous reviewer that this is a great place if you truly know and love coffee.  If I ever find myself in Moscow again, you can bet that I'll be cheating on my local roaster with Bucer's.

One of my favorite coffee places.  Nice atmosphere, lots of books, great place to study or relax, the interior is really cozy and inviting. Sometimes on the weekends they will also have a band playing.

My favorite drink: The Culatto. It's a Cuban style expresso pulled with brown sugar. Add a little cream and it's divine.

One of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. I felt like I was in Vienna! Get the cuban cafe con leche.

This is the only place in town where you are able to come smoke a cigar or pipe while not being in a bar, a plus for those under 21. I found this a nice place to relax now and again if I want to smoke in a non-bar environment. Do not buy your cigars here, their humidor has been off for the longest time and I am unsure if they've finally fixed it.

This is also one of the very few places in town where UofI and NSA students somewhat interact. You'll meet some interesting people, coming from either side, and a relaxing smoke room often opens up topics for discussion. Definitely some differences in perspective will be immediately seen between the two groups. But it's good and usually makes for an enjoyable evening.

I do not drink coffee and cannot comment on it. Their hot chocolate and homemade apple cider in winter is fantastic however. They also serve Guinness and wine including port.

This place has some of the most decadent coffee shop food ever!

The crustless quiche is homemade and delicious.  There are also the chocolate truffles that are the size of a small fist. Furthermore: the coffee and tea are inexpensive and there are always specials.

bad part: can be too crowded at times, and the bulky furniture doesn't help. It isn't the best place to meet up with a study group.

The coffee here is quite good.  On my first visit there I also had a piece of quiche and a dessert, and both of those were also tasty.

They have comfortable chairs, and it is pleasantly quiet.

If I lived in Moscow, I would probably be there often.

I love the coffee, food, atmosphere, music, decor, book collection, everything else. The guy who roasts the coffee told me that he gets better than fair trade (look up relationship coffee) when he can. I said he should have a sign to let people know, but he doesn't do it to impress customers; his wife said "That's just what good people do!" I dig it.

Ignore the Christian scene and appreciate the best coffee and barristas in town. Handsome decor. Pretty things in the deli case.
