The layout of this restaurant inside is really wacky. They even have a booth randomly situated in the kitchen. The tables are pretty cramped and the decor is really odd for an Italian place....

On the plus side, the food is decent and everything came in large portions for sharing, but it was a little pricey.  We came with a group of 14 people, so we got enough dishes for everyone to have a little of everything. The service was pretty good too.  The things that bring this place down is the cramped and random atmosphere and the price of the food.

Boo Buca! I actually did like you once, but I had no idea that you got bought out by Planet Hollywood back in Nov!

We didn't realize that until we asked, but it explained a lot. Like how they actually have a menu now with a giant Planet Hollywood ad in it-and all my favorites have changed. No more prosciutto on the chicken parm, no more fresh looking marina sauce with a ton of garlic in it, and no more cannoli's.

    Such a shame!

Like all Buca di Beppo's, this one looks as if it was decorated by insane (Italian-esque) clowns, from the holiday lights and paintings all over the place. If you don't mind chains, and need to feel a lot of people, Buca is there for you. (Speaking of insane, their parking lot is pretty nuts.)

Four of us killed a platter of their large, hot antipasto ($16.95), with mussels, garlic mashed potato balls (not as good as they sound), breaded ravioli, zucchini and mushroom caps stuffed with (not so) spicy sausage. We shared a Latini meat platter ($32.95) from the Carb-Cutter Menu, which had filet mignon, pork chops, sausage, tomatoes, bacon, and chicken, crammed onto a large plate.

Sounds filling, doesn't it? Buca sure doesn't disappoint in the portions department, providing a decent value. To offset all the fatty foods, we had a mixed green salad ($9.95) with prosciutto and Gorgonzola cheese. The biggest surprises of the night were the tiramisu ($9), which was actually more than okay, and our super service - shout out to Melissa!

While there are many reasons to just trash a place like this (obnoxious decor, relatively simple dishes with lots and lots of butter/cream, etc.), at the same time they do run a nice operation and it is great for large groups (for that reason alone, my family likes coming here...I would never choose it but I've been dragged to far worse). Bonus for offering whole wheat pasta as an no-cost option.

In terms of value, avoid the regular "meat" dishes...you don't get a whole lot for the cash. Get a salad (they are huge), and maybe one or two pasta dishes...that will be more than enough for a typical 4-5 person party. Even better if going the takeout route...$50 feeds everyone and there is plenty left over for the next day.  They now offer much smaller portions for lunches/couples, but I've never tried those.

It is nowhere near the best Italian food you are ever going to get, but its inoffensive enough and the service is always above average.

Their portions are huge and are perfect for taking home and eating through two more meals. We've been there twice and have enjoyed it each time. They have tables large enough for about 10 people and they may have private rooms as well but I'm not sure about that..
Their food is very good, they have a full bar and the service is very good too!

Can't say I'm going to miss this place.  The food was eh, the atmosphere was always as loud as the decorated walls, and the service definitely had something left to be desired.  Once a waiter or waitress was away from the table after dropping off your food, you better not have needed anything else!
I was surprised at first when I drove by and saw the sign down, but after a moment, I asked myself, "Am I, really?"  It's a shame because it had potential to be so much better than it was.
The parking lot was always packed, so I thought business was good enough, but I guess their reputation finally caught up to him.

Very traditional, very large family sized style dining with great food. Best Italian food for a chain. Make sure you take a tour of the kitchen as you make your way to the table. We got chicken parm and some seafood pasta and both were out of this world good. Ceasar salad was awesome too. Makes olive garden look even worse than it actually is. Face it, those olive garden commercials are unbearable to watch. Buca is a hit!

They get 5 outa 5 for closing this "hole." the food was bland & boring, the interior a visual diaster, an eye sore really, and it's really great great great that this disgrace has been culled from the flock. Bring bunkey's BBQ back. At least that shell had character.

Eat bad Italian with a bust of the pope on the table?  I don't think so!
