It has only been a month since my sweet Buddy died. When I think of him, which is often, I still feel great sadness because I miss him. . . I miss him a lot.

When I read stories of dogs who've traveled hundreds of miles to find their family or a dog who sits at the side of a deceased owner at a funeral - I think of how loyal Buddy was. In this, I think he is still with me. I am lucky to have had such a great guy in my life who gave me and my girls unconditional love.

When we had Buddy euthanized, the Vet's office helped us with the arrangements. I wanted Buddy cremated so that his physical remains can be home, with us, always. The vet's office charged and collected the fees for this from me and told me they would send me a letter in a few weeks when I could pick his remains up from them. I really appreciated Bubbling Well coordinating with the emergency vet for a smooth transition.

I was hoping to have Buddy's ashes before Christmas. Sure enough, we received the letter that his cremation was finished and we could pick up the remains - within the timeline promised.

My sweet boy is in a wooden box with his name on it.

To my surprise, we also received a clay imprint of his paw. I cry just thinking about it - reminds me of the footprints my girls had when the were born or their first hand prints in Kindergarten.

I am so grateful to have such a special momento of my sweet  Buddy.

The Bubbling Well website is really informative. It outlines the variety of services they provide, the beautiful grounds they offer, as well as assistance with pet grief/loss.

Bubbling Well treated Buddy with dignity and handled something so difficult for us with professionalism and kindness. We had no problems, the price was reasonable, and the paw print was really thoughtful.

I have a paw print to see, touch, and remember my sweet Buddy. We really, really miss him terribly. We are thankful to have him home. For me, burial was not the right choice, I want Buddy home with me and my girls.

Five well earned stars, and my highest recommendation for this business that clearly understands and cares for our special family members. . . our pets.

I worked with Karen last month to order a country woods small pet urn with laser engraving to be shipped to my house. As anyone can understand, this is a painful thing to do when you have the eminent death of your loved pet in front of you. Everything was perfect until I received the urn- which by the way was beautiful!

Although I am happy with my urn, I am giving one point off for misquoting me over the phone. I was quoted and wrote it down as being $128.50. When my bill came with the urn, it was $143.50.

One more point off is due to the fact that I called back to report the discrepancy to Karen. She called me back the next day and said that they had never quoted me the $128 price. Huh?

Again, it is not the money but the principle here. This is a vulnerable time for a pet owner so I am not going to push them, but I am disappointed with the customer service.

A month ago I was faced with putting my beloved Maine Coon kitty down to kitty heaven, the vet gave me three options on how to handle her body after she was put down:
    1) Get her body back and bury her ourselves
    2) have a private cremation
    3) have a communial cremation and than a Country side burial

You have to understand, I had Shumee since she was 6 weeks old and she was just over 16 years old and in a matter of three days she became very ill and we had less than 24 hours notice to put her down and make decisions that I was not ready to make.

i called Bubbling wells and Karen helped me so, I wanted a paw print orinament made of her paw and karen was able to arrange this, we had origanlly decided in the country side burrial but after talking to karen didn't really know what to do.

Shumee was put down on the 2nd Of November and was not going to get picked up until the 15th meaning we had time to decide what we wanted for her.
We drove up and met with Karen and the grounds were amazing, Karen helped us and we decided to do a private cremation and have her returned to us in a cedar box for us to decide where we will put her later when we were ready.

My Husband went to the Vet and picked her up and brought Shumee there himself and within 72 hours later Karen had called to tell us we could come pick up Shumee.

When we went to pick her up, we walked the grounds, the animals were fun to watch and it was just a amazing place to be and I felt at peace with our decision!

    Thank you Bubbling Wells!

I'm writing this review hoping other familys wont have to go through what my family has had to go through . We had lost our beloved pet of 14 years and wanted to have her remains back . My wife and i are involved with many dog groups in the bay area and we will let alot of animal lovers know about the so called practices of this company hoping no one else has to go through what my family has had to go through .they got one star because i had to I wish yelp had negative stars. My beloved pet rat, "The Mighty Mister Ratty" passed on a week and a half ago due to old age. He was a hefty guy who loved sunflower seeds and tomatoes. I was devastated that he had passed but I knew that he was in Ratty Heaven and eating all the sunflower seeds he wanted!

I called to a few vet's in my area and they all wanted to charge me a ridiculously high amount (I'm talking 150-200 dollars) to "dispose" of Mister Ratty. I traveled the interwebs and found Bubbling Well. It looked amazing on the website. When i called for information, they were very sensitive to my loss and quoted me a great price. I was going to get Mister Ratty cremated and then returned to me in a mini cedar box with our names on it.

Bubbing Well was not hard to find, just on a very curvy road. The actual Memorial Park was more gorgeous than the photos did justice. After I dropped Mister Ratty off for his final preparations, I walked around the area with my boyfriend and was in such awe. The wild animals that walked around, the green and manicured grass, the creek; It was like Heaven on earth. Paradise.

    Thank you, Bubbling Well.

Here is a letter to the vet that performed an outstanding in home euthanasia for my beloved pet Kitty. This review is about the crematory in which she was sent to. The vet that handled the in home services will remain unnamed as he was very compassionate, SEE BELOW FOR REVIEW.

I wanted to update you on my recent experience picking up my Kitty's remains at the Bubbling Wells Memorial.

I was greeted with a quote" I am with a customer, what do you want" unquote.

Once I explained why I was there she told me that she is with a customer and that is why she wouldn't answer the door.

Also, on the receipt that you gave us it said we were supposed to have a paw print of our kitty "Tigger" in plaster. That did not happen.

Also, we had expressed that she be cremated separately from other pets, but the ashes we received are almost the same size as our 70 pound dogs ashes, which leads me to believe she was cremated with other animals, not to mention that the ashes look more like wood ashes than animal remains.

The cedar box that contained the remains had her name tag placed on the back of the box, which I do not appreciate at all.

I was ushered out of there as quickly as possible, and was not given any time to express my concerns before being left to let myself out on my own.

All in all, you have shown tremendous compassion for us, but my experience with Bubbling Wells was less then acceptable, and more on the lines of horrendous.

I am sorry to feel the need to write this email to you, but I felt it is very important that you understand the lack of compassion that was demonstrated in a place that claims complete compassion and understanding.

I will be most willing to use your services in the future when the need arises, as you have demonstrated true compassion, but I will never let one of my beloved pets be sent to such an uncompassionate place again in my life.

    Thanks for your time,

    Sincerely,

I have all three of my goldens at rest in Bubbling Wells. Most recent I lost my best friend and companion Lucky . My lab of 13 years. We shall walk again in eternity side by side when my time comes.

I cannot say enough about the staff and grounds here. They picked Lucky up in San Francisco at my vets and he was buried the next day. I cannot think of a more perfect setting to put our friends we love and miss.

My other lab Madison who is nine will rest in peace with Lucky someday and they will again be together....

Thanks Bubbling Wells. You made my loss a little more comforting....

My 4 year old shih tzu had passed away @ our vet's office in Fremont, CA and they recommended Bubbling Wells for our private cremation. We will be bringing Jack home. I visited BW and it is such a beautiful and peaceful place. It is overlooking the Napa Valley. I was so happy to know that Jack was there, especially with the staff so caring and helpful. I have been speaking to "Lacy" and she is very knowledge, comforting, caring, and she understands what a big loss my family and I are going through. Thank you Lacy and Bubbling Wells!!!

My 17 year old Shih Tzu passed away last week and clearly I was devastated. My family and I decided to give our dog a proper burlal and so we were referred to Bubbling Well by our vet.

I spoke to Karen on the phone and she did a superb job in answering of all my questions in a very succinct and friendly manner. She's worked there for 20+ years. Upon my request, she carefully broke down the costs and offered me different options. Soon after, I made an appointment to pick out a burial site.

During our visit, I was blown away by the beauty of the pet park. An annual $75 fee goes towards park maintenance and boy, it does not feel like a pet cemetery at all. The garden areas are carefully manicured and the views of Napa were absolutely breathtaking. Seriously, you'd have to go see for yourself and be blown away.

Each garden area has a designated name, and we chose to bury our dog in the Garden of  Memory. This is next to an area where two llamas are housed! Karen took us around around all the garden areas in her golf cart and explained the pros and cons of each. She was extremely straightforward and honest.

We will be returning in 2 weeks to attend Sunnie's burial. I think that Bubbling Well is highly organized, very professional, and worth every penny. I wouldn't have picked any other resting place for my sweetie.

About three years ago, a beloved member of our family, Lewis, lost his battle with cancer.  We knew we wanted to have him at home with us where he belonged and the vet suggested getting him cremated at Bubbling Wells.  We could have done a community cremation but that wasn't an option.  When Lewis came home to us he was in very nice little cedar box with his name.  We attached his name tag to the clasp and he sits with the family on the fireplace mantle.

We recently lost Dolly, our family's first pet, to cancer as well.  For us, there wasn't even a question of what we would do.  We immediately asked for her to be sent to Bubbling Well for the same type of service.  Dolly was returned to her family today and I have to say the BW has gone out of their way to help us remember our constant companion.  Not only is she in that nice cedar box with her name and the fancy clasp, but they also made an ornament with her paw print and her name inscribed.  Just writing this makes me cry to know that this place takes such loving care of your pet and also provides a lifetime keepsake for loved ones.

    Thank You Bubbling Well!

I never heard about this memorial park for pets ever in my life. But I am so thankful that I found out.

My beloved dog Beauty passed away in April 2009. We didn't' know what to do with her remains, I wasn't open to having her ashes at my house. For me personally it would be a constant reminder of her dying. Our vet's office suggested this place telling us that they would cremate her and have her ashes spread at this park.

About a week ago my family and I finally went to this park. We spent the whole day there praying and talking about her and her wonderful life. It was very VERY emotional but I felt at peace to know she was resting in such a beautiful and well taken care of park. I highly recommend this place, they are so attentive and understanding...

We lost our beloved Spikey in late October, it was completely unexpected and was incredibly hard for the family as our companion had been more like a member of the family. It was difficult beyond words signing the forms for him to be relieved of pain, we just received his death certificate and looked up Bubbling Well. It brings me nothing by happiness to know that he is here, running around and playing with all the other companions families have loved.

We were SO lucky and we miss you kid :)

During, without question, the most difficult weeks of my life, this place exceeded all expectations.  Georgina was attentive, responsive, and patient over the weeks I inquired about what I would do as I planned for the traumatic conclusion of my dear lab.

This place is 1st class in both customer service and overall quality.  I live in San Francisco and it would have been much easier/more convenient to handle my boys burial at Pet's Rest in Colma but after visiting both locations this was a no brainer.

Bubbling Well is mind blowing in every way.  Absolutely gorgeous and I wouldn't have given my boy anything less.  It is a pleasure to visit and they accommodate in every way.  From the private viewing, to the private burial, to the ordering of my boys burial marker, this place is without a doubt the best pet cemetery in the Bay Area, if not the country and apparently I'm not the only one that thinks so.

Watch "Gates of Heaven" which is an incredible documentary that is based on this amazing resting place.

This place works directly with many vets here in the bay area and surrounding areas...  They are a pet cemetery and also do cremations.  Recently my cat passed away and we had her taken to be cremated.. Our kitty was returned to us in a cute little cedar box with her name on it with in a week of her passing.. A very good service for people who love their pets and want to do something special for them after their gone..

Bubbling Wells was amazing when my 11 year old lab died.  I had her cremated by them and have her little cedar box here at the house.  The cemetary is in one of the most beautiful places in Napa.  They were reasonable priced, loving and caring people.

Take note though, unless you bury your pet there in a private grave (don't know this cost) or have it cremated by itself and keep the ashes (which is actually very reasonable at $180), it is put into a mass grave miles away.

Never written a review, but I Had to write one about this sweet place. Years ago we brought our English Mastiff, Sprocket  to this beautiful, peaceful place. We elected to have her cremated, scattering her ashes at her favorite beaches and in our destroyed  flower beds. Since she passed away at home, cared for by a  visiting Vet., it made the most sense for us to drive her up to Napa, ourselves. The caretaker was most helpful and compassionate. Taking care our girl's needs, even after death, made us feel better. I recommend home care for one's pet and Bubbling Well, if you live in the Bay Area.

I would not return this place.  Our beloved golden retriever passed away and we utilized their services.  Ultimately, the urn that we chose turned out very nice and we are glad to have him home.  However, the facility does not engrave the urns only orders them.  On to the one star rating, upon arrival the women that approached us at the facility was seemingly cold.  She reminded us that they prefer appointments within the first 5 minutes of meeting her (wonderful to hear when you feel like garbage, I will remember that the next time my beloved dog passes).  She seemed to "warm-up" when she realized the amount of money we were spending.  There was a communication issue with having a pawprint of our doggie done.  We had impressed upon her that we were unsure if a print was performed at the vet office.  Based on her advice we followed up with our vet.  In addition, she said we could pay for it after we followed up with them.  That is exactly what we did. Needless to say, a print was not done before he was cremated.  Bubbling Well did contact us to follow-up about the pawprint.   Therefore, it was sadly not done.  We again followed up with our vet office and Bubbling Well blamed it on us, because we didn't pay for it wasn't done.  Just a bit of advice Bubbling Well a little customer service goes a long way!  It is EGREGIOUS that the all mighty dollar and having to make a phone call trumped compassion.

My little dude passed away in February (15 years old - he had a really good run) and I had him cremated at Bubbling Well in Napa. I called around to a few different vets including my own, and they mostly all use Bubbling Well. They come down to each clinic and do pick-ups on a regular basis (weekly), but I opted to drive my dog up there so I could get him back sooner. It's really an incredibly beautiful place, and it makes for a wonderful drive even if you're sobbing hysterically the whole way. The grounds are amazing, nestled back along the Silverado Trail high on a hill overlooking the Napa Valley. The prices are reasonable, ranging from $50-$300+ depending on what you want. You might get a discount if you go through your vet, so be sure to price them both out. They have a full cemetery, collective cremation/group interment and private cremation. I did the private cremation and selected from one of the multitudes of urns they had on site.  There is a bit of a mark-up on the urns they sell, so you might want to do the plain cedar box and then buy a nice urn yourself. You can find the same ones online. The ashes are double-bagged in plastic so moving them isn't a big deal (and yes, I was worried that I was going to get back a bag of random ash but I do believe it's really his ashes - they're legit). If I lived closer, I might have had him cremated and buried there with a headstone just because it's so beautiful. They have both Christian and Jewish sections in the cemetery which just cracked my ass up when I needed a laugh the most. They made a very difficult experience seem easy, pleasant and peaceful. Highly, highly recommended.
