like the way she cuts my pomeranians.
i usually like their hairs really short so they look like little rats with round faces and pig tails.
their skin isn't dry after wash unlike some of the groomers that i've been to.
they're usually pretty busy so it's good to call ahead. -

I took my maltese here and on the FOURTH CUT, they finally did a great job! I love the adorable hair bows that they use here. It doesn't look cheap and it stays on for weeks. This is probably one of the reasons why I frequent Korean groomers.
Though the few times before that, I honestly didn't get the hype. They overcharge, the owners aren't as friendly, and they tried to get me to do their "puppy cut' which is I think $5~10 more. If you want something similar to a puppy cut but don't want to spend the extra money (and don't want to return as frequently), ask them to leave the leg hairs long and shave the body. I figured this out on my last visit and it's the cutest cut for malteses and yorkies. Their legs look shorter and not so bare.
You have to know what you want here- ask them for a specific cut and they'll do it for you. 3.5 stars.Listed in: Dog story

***DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY AND YOUR DOGS HEALTH****
I posted a quick tip earlier cause I was so please to be in and out and on to my next chore of the day. But after getting home and seeing Olive relax and then notice her licking her front paw. That the lady who cut her nails, cut a nail too short! My poor Olive! I will never be going here again. When I walked in I had a feeling to walk out and should have! The first thing I noticed was that there was a cute dog leashed to a grooming table and in the middle of having her hair cut. There was no employees anywhere for several minutes. Just did not seem passionate about animals.
All in all DONT GO HERE! -

I've always gone to Petco to groom my dogs but they are expensive, so I thought I'd take a chance and try another groomer. I found this place on Yelp but will NEVER go back. My dog's hair was uneven, and I noticed my dog was super irritated. I took him to the vet and found nicks in both of his ears, and he also had a bad rash on his behind from being shaved so close. I think she shaved off a part of his skin. I spent over $100 at the vet cuz he needed an office consultation, a shot on his behind, antibiotics and cream. I was gonna go back to the groomer and give her a piece of my mind, but she doesn't speak good English so I figured what's the point. The only thing I can do is post a bad review so that dog lovers can BEWARE before choosing this place for your dog grooming.

I don't expect pet groomer area to be all fancy or what not but this place is straight ghetto. I have 2 toy maltese and I brought them in. The hair cut looked bad but that was my fault because I picked the wrong style. But when I took them back, I realized that one of my dogs has bruising on its nails. My other dog has what looks like a 2 red marks on its back. My dogs must have been terrified and I'm not bringing them back. I paid 90 by the way

$40 for a great groom. Located in K-town. You don't need an appointment but be prepared to leave your little one there all day! I usually drop off my dogs at 10am-11am and don't get them back till 3pm-4pm. There is no garage or private parking but there is always street parking right up front. The two ladies that run the place are really nice and I trust them with my dogs.
A basic groom is $40 but they also offer a variety of add-on services that they don't force down your throat (like some other places). For an extra $5 you can add-on teeth cleaning. Extra $5-$15 you get a de-flea bath. Specialty haircuts are not extra. Last time I was there I gave one of my doggies a Mohawk and it was included in the basic groom price. Since that last groom everyone has been commenting on how great Flash's haircut looks.
I am sold! I feel like I have found my lifetime groomers! And you get same service as you might in Los Feliz or Silverlake but at half the prices.Listed in: Everything WOOF friendly!

My puppy "Truffles" is destined for a life of grooming and pampering because she is a shih tzu. Her hair just keeps growing and growing and growing!
She is 4 months young and needed her first trim today.
I was a little worried because she is feisty and has a tendency to let's say,, not listen?
Okay, I'll admit..... She can be BAD!
The owner remembered me from the last time I brought my mother in laws 3 pekingese when we dogsat.
She said she would trim her potty area, paws and around the face.
It was 11:15.
She said she would be done by 12:30..
12:25... I'm enjoying my lunch down the street and the owner calls saying to come pick up my aeggi. (korean for "baby")
When I get there she tells me Truffles was a struggle because she didn't liked to be washed, brushed, and was scared to death of the blow dryer.
I chuckle..
Poor thing! But she has to get used to it!
So out come Truffles. She is a clean furry fluffball with meticulously trimmed paws and potty area. The strays around her face are trimmed so no more smellyness =)
Also, they carry a boatload of dog accessories for WAY cheaper than Petco. I bought a cute xs pink harness for $10 which would have cost me $14 at Petco and plus they were out of stock.. Cute clothes, collars, and other stuff is available.
Anyways, I'd recommend Bubbles to other dogs in need of a trim. They're affordable, provide quick service, and in a convenient location.
Thumbs way up!!!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I've been taking my dog here and although they do a good job as far as the actual grooming, they have unethical business practice.
My dog's hair becomes very unruly and tangled, and I understand he requires quite some time to get him groomed. But, they were initially charging me $60 for the works, i.e., teeth, glands, shampoo, cut, etc... Now, after going there several times, the lady all of the sudden wants to raise the price from $60 to $100 JUST for a Shampoo and cut!??? WHAT THE HELL!???? How do you decide that you are going to increase your service rates after we have been taking the same time there several times before? That is unethical and extremely rude! We will be looking for another groomer! -

Rudy loves this place!
I was suffering from Stinky Dog Syndrome (google it). My poor puppy had some serious funk issues after playing in a 3 foot high mount of dirt.
I found Bubbles to be relatively close to home, so Rudy and I took a nice little walk down and he was wisked away immediately.
I dropped him off and headed off for some Nom Nom Nom. When I arrive to claim my precious baby, he smelled like heaven and his coat was minky soft.
The lady was super sweet and raved about how well behaved Rudy is for only being 4 months old.
We will definately be returning. -

I've been going to Bubbles for over 3 years now. I tried about 6 different places before I took my baby to bubbles...I am still very satisfy with them. Even though it's about 25 mles from my house, I won't stop coming to bubbles...I really like those Ah Jum Mah who works there...*^^*
Everyone should try this place...... -

I've brought my dog here at least on 4 occasions, the first time was a bit of a misunderstanding of what i wanted on my dog. Her top crop (Yorkie) was cut WAAAAAY too short, but i charged that to the- maybe she doesn't understand english very well- game. So the next time I brought my Roxie, i made it a point to show her the length that I wanted her hair cut to and showed her how I wanted her face shaped and it's been all good from there on. She always looks polished and smells great when I come get her.

I've been taking my dogs to this place for like 5,6 years and the lady's got some serious skills that other grooming places don't have. If you have short-haired dogs like chihuahua or something, you can't really tell, I guess. But if you have long-haired, high-maintenance dogs like malteses (I have two. They are the bane of my life.. also my pride and joy) or poodles, this place is definitely a must.
If this place was cheaper, I would take my dogs every week. -

To be honest, it's been over a year since I've taken my Maltese to Bubbles but I felt compelled to write my honest review. I've taken my dog here several times while they were in the old location and a couple times more after they moved.
I gave them two stars because they do a good job with Maltese haircuts. I don't know how she does it, but she really knows how to make my dog's face look totally adorable. My former neighbor took her Maltese there too and she was also adorable. I still use the same brand of conditioner that they used at Bubbles (Pet Silk), so their grooming products are really good. But I decided to switch to another groomer for now despite the fact that the new groomers do a so-so job.
The reason I stopped taking my dog there is because of the rashes/nicks he'd get from the groomer. Once is forgivable but after the third time, I said forget it. I mean really... that's unacceptable. On a side note, my dog also got kennel cough from another dog that was groomed there. Bad luck I suppose but I'd rather take my dog elsewhere. -

Theeeee best Korean groomer ever! Previously located in a tiny bldg with cow/dalmatian spots on 8th and Harvard with the tiniest parking lot...I used to live across the street, but even then I had to call and make sure she could squeeze my dog in. I'm so happy they moved cuz this location is closer to me and has much more parking (front on the street and rear).
She charges more than the rest but she has the magic touch. A basic trim starts at $35 (shampoo + trim face/paws/tail/booty + clip nails + express anal glands). She charges an extra $5 to brush teeth. She is always in high demand so she may be a little brusque but definitely worth it.
If you have a long haired dog, she will probably give it a topknot or two. She'll wrap the hair with tissue and then use a rubber band w/a flower or something. -

I leave my dog here for hours and pick him up after work.
The price is a little high, but overall the service is great. -

I went here because I thought that it would be good from the reviews. My puppy received her first cut here last week. The groomer was really nice, so she gets one star for that. And it was relatively cheap for a place in LA, so the groomer gets another star for that.
However, after I picked up my puppy and went home, and I noticed that the dog's cut was uneven! How sad is that?!?! My first puppy's cut is uneven. It's not that noticeable when you just look at her, but I notice it. I wanted to go back so that the cut could be fixed, but my sister didn't want to bother since the job wasn't that botched up. Ughhhh! I just know that I'm not coming back here! -

Bubbles does a wonderful job!!! Best dog grooming place so far... however about $5-10 more expensive than most places. Is it worth? Probably not but you do kinda melt a little when you see your little baby walking out looking like a stuffed animal.

A small mom & pop Korean business minus the pop -- just Hal- Muh-Ni and her employees working inside here. It can be a difficult consumer experience if you have special needs or instructions for your pooch as a non-Korean. But my canine buddy did just fine!
Although the apartment unit is aged, their business unit has been tastefully converted with pooches in mind. They put the dogs in kennels as they work on others. So note that if you have a kennel hatred.
My dog is very averse to being handled - so I was concerned and brought my muzzle. The staff said he was fine and just growled while I was away. They did a great job shaving his coat off.
I was a little upset they cut a little peice of his paw skin off but I guess I can't hold that against them -- as he is very difficult when I work on him. So I gave them leeway - 4 stars! -

I have been with Bubbles for approximately 3 years- my red poodle, Penny, gets a "million dollar" cut every time!
The groomers are very gentle, yet extremely efficient (it takes approximately 4hrs for a full groom). I am so pleased with Bubbles' services that I would not dare to think of going anywhere else (despite the fact that it's a bit of a drive).
Bubbles specializes in the Poodle and Maltese breeds, but I've seen them do wonders on Lhasa Apsas and Shih Tzus! Be reassured that you won't be disappointed. -

My dog was a mess before and she came out looking like an actual cocker, however, super pricey... wish it was a bit more affordable, 60 bucks for a grooming for a 23 lb animal... almost as much as a high end haircut for myself :T

Finally, found the time to write an update! so my sister took her golden retriever, which gets pretty big even though he's only 3 months, and they had to wash him 4 times to get rid of the poo smell!! after all that, they only took $20 because he's still a puppy, even though he would be considered an adult size dog for most household pets! they're really nice and answered every question that my mom had, which was a lot considering how several people came in and out to drop off their pets.
later this month, I'm going to take my dog to get a hair cut so will update on how they are with cuts. For sure, i definitely recommend this place if your dog needs to get washed.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I love this dog groomers!
My family has become very close with the owners.
We often leave my dog with them whenever we go on long vacations.
The owner herself has become quite a dog expert.
Se always tells us whenever my dog has skin problems, eye problems, or fleas way before anyone in my family picks up on it.
She always gets my dog smelling AMAZING afterwards
She's great! -

A great dog groomer for your pets! My dog is very picky with people and she got along just swell with the owner. My dog even let the owner pick her up which is a feat in itself since she usually bites those who tries to pick her up that's not me.
They have moved from the address listed above. The phone number is still the same. I would change it if I could but I'll just tell you myself. Their new location is:
301 S. Kingsley Dr.
(on the southwest corner of Kingsley Dr. and 3rd St.)
Prices are the same said by the previous reviewer. The owner did tell me that she gives discounts to frequent visitors. It is a little pricey than most but well worth it for your furry loved ones. I told the owner exactly how I wanted my baby's hair done and she came out perfect!
I would recommend that you call ahead of time and make an appointment. I didn't make an appointment but she took my pet and I anyways. They called me back within an hour and a half after dropping her off that my baby was ready.
This place is well worth the price for the service you get. -

It's a hole in the wall groomer but they do a good job. I question what goes on during the grooming... My dog was way too excited to see me when I picked her up. I asked the lady to keep her hair a little longer, but I don't think she wanted to bother with it. Either way my dog looks freshly groomed... But I'm not sure if I'll take her again. It was reasonably priced - $45. I might try sparkys next time

I have bringing my dog and my roommate's dog here for years - and they do such an amazing job and it's so cheap!
We have 2 chihuahuas and it is only $20 a dog, they do charge a little extra if you need a flea bath or teeth brushing. My dogs are always ready to picked up in a few hours, and they look great! -

I was looking for a more affordable option for my maltese whose long hair had become matted. Living in Weho I was spending upwards of $70+ and Bubbles saved the day. She took her the same day and gave me a much better price. They have pictures so you can point to what you want and she will tell you what you need. I found this very reassuring and even though Halo needed to be shaved, she turned out as cute as a button! Also, the other dogs I saw were all adorable!

I've taken my dog to all the grooming places- PetCo, Sparky's, etc. All of them tend to fall in the $50 and above category and was looking for something more reasonable. After reading the reviews on Bubbles I decided to try here and I have to say I was very pleased.
Great service, very nice people. Moreover my dog has never been groomed better. Some of those places are like an assembly line of grooming. For instance they forget to really cut the hair around my dog's paws or clean her teeth properly. Bubbles did a great job. They cleaned her teeth so well that her breath smelled good and got rid of some of her bad plaque. They did what I told them to do around the face and not cut it too much. Also my dog came back smelling great with two cute bows in her hair! Def recommend and am going to go back again. -

The place is great. I've sent my yorkie here around 6-7 times and will continue to. They always pay great attention to detail and have my dog looking great.
For $50, bathing, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, nails trimming, immaculate grooming, and a happy dog.
They don't really speak the best english so there can be some miscommunication at times but I don't speak Korean and I didn't have any problems. They work quick and usually finish grooming 2 hours after drop off. They truly outshine all their competitors. Sparky's and Bark Ave are terrible in comparison. -

I was really excited to goto Bubbles for my maltese's hair cut because my friend's dogs had a good hair cut from here. However, I did not have such great luck.
I went in the morning at 9am and their electricity goes out. She goes to the back and they manage to turn it back on, but the next door guy comes in the store and starts yelling at the lady about how they lose hours of work when the electricity is shut off. If the electricity shuts off that often, I am not sure how safe it is for the pets. Then she starts answering all the phone calls. I ended up dropping him off at 9:30am because of all the wait. She said puppy cut is $45.
My maltese's puppy cut came out completely uneven. His face is cut shorter on one side so it looks lopsided. The thing that really made me mad is that one of his eye lash was cut really short and the other one was still long. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but my experience was not good and I will not be going back. -

I've been looking for the right grooming shop for my 4 year old Pekingese after his horrible experience at Petco. I thought I should try Bubbles after reading the reviews on Yelp. The outcome was GREAT! It's a small shop probably dedicated to small/med. size dogs. My dog felt comfortable with the staff and didn't get stressed out at all. Summer cut was nice and even and she also gave me a few tips to take good care of him. I am so happy that my dog was not stressed out during one hour of bathing, haircut, nail clipping, teeth cleaning...etc. Another good thing is that I called ahead and went in early in the morning to watch my dog getting groomed. Nice~~

i LOVE this place !!!!!!
i went here for the first time but only to get my puppys nails clipped, face trimmed, & butt. the first time i gave my puppy a full body cut i took him to petsmart (the biggest mistake!) & he was so TERRIFIED for days. so i decided to take him to bubbles again & give them a try. i just came back from there & my puppy is perfectly normal & happy :) he looks sooo cute and the cut is awesome. hes so soft & fluffy & smells great. when i took him to petsmart, i paid alot more & he looked like crap..he looked very butchered and they didnt even blow away the hair thats been cut so he was shedding the whole day.
i love this place & only trust this place! very affordable & i like how the groomer tells you if your dog has an infection or not.
