Nice local BBQ place in a town with few BBQ options. Overall it's a standard "Meat and three" but one of the three seems to have fallen off the menu at some point so it's more of a "Meat and 2".
Good variety of meats/cuts and decent selection of sides. Staff is usually friendly and service has always been prompt for me. Never been let down by the food - though the price is just a tiny bit more than I would expect for only 2 sides. But I guess that's the way things are now. -

Well the time has come for my first 1 star review... Here is the lowdown on Bubba's version 2.0.
Bubba's changed hands a while back and the owners went on to open another BBQ joint near the foot hills. This place has gone down hill from there.
We went there one evening for BBQ with some friends and we tried the following:
The chicken
The beef(maybe brisket??)
The ribs
The best item was the chicken and that wasn't great. The beef was undercooked(in terms of BBQ, it wasn't slow cooked long enough so it was tough to eat) and the ribs looked very tough to eat(they were ordered by our friends)
The service was ok but they were out of a few items... One being Mac and cheese!!! I was not happy... the other was baked potato. Now on the baked potato the server said they could Microwave it and our friends agreed. (This is a food industry trick and I am sure many people have eaten microwaved potatoes and not known it.) Now the food took over 40 minutes to arrive to our table. (btw potatos can cook in the oven in about 45 minutes) and it just didn't taste that good. The garden salad was just iceburg, some cheese and dressing. The BBQ sauce didn't taste right... not sure if it sat on the table too long or if that was the taste they were going for...
The only positive I have on the places is value for the amount of food you get. They did give me a lot of Beef(looked like at least a pound) for the price. But quantity wasn't enough to break the 1 star.

Wow. Everything was dry, flavorless and uninteresting. I just can't convey how not good this place was. So, since 1/10th of a star is not possible, I'll just leave it short.

Local BBQ Joint. I ate here last week. I ordered the rib and chicken dinner plate. I had half a rack of ribs and a quarter chicken with Fries. It was ok. The portion was insane large. I also tried their shredded pork sandwhich. The flavor wasn't there, it missed the mark. I had ordered the mac and cheese. They completely forgot about it. The server was really friendly though.

meh....ribs were dry, brisket wasn't juicy, mac and cheese tasted like butter, and beans weren't seasoned in any way. The ribs were short and didn't have much meat on em, but to be fair, there were other things that looked tasty on other tables.
The commercials for the place say it's been voted Best BBQ in Yuma time and time again. It is probably the best BBQ in Yuma, so if you have a craving there is no alternative other than the place at the mall.
If its between Famous Dave's or Bubba's - my choice, support the local joint and not the chain. Yuma is limited in BBQ content, so I'd come again for the interesting atmosphere and colorful people. -

I ate here 5-8-08. This looks like a typical coffee shop but it has a BBQ menu. I had the 6 rib dinner with fries and garlic bread. All of it was excellent. The ribs had a slight dry rub on them and were cooked without sauce. The sauce that comes on the side is slightly hot and sweet and very good. The fries have some kind of coating on them and they are crispy and tasty. The garlic bread is grilled on one side and excellent, especially considering it is just plain white bread slices. I don't know if the are other BBQ places in Yuma, this being my first stop here. I would return to Bubba's if I come back to Yuma.
