Had to choose among all chain restaurants and decided to give Bubba another try.

Went for early lunch and we got the best seats with a great view of Universal City walk.  Our waiter was really friendly and gave us some great suggestions for appetizers and entrees.

Had Cajun Shrimp for apps, it was spicy with butter sauce and garlic toasts. It was decent but a little too greasy. My entree was fresh red snapper over mashed potatoes and spinach.  It was a huge plate! The red snapper was good but mashed potatoes were starchy.  The bf had fish and chips which was pretty decent. (Yes they are all fried)

Overall, our service were great and meal decent for the price. Not a bad choice if you're in Universal City and you're craving for some seafood, and you get to people watch as a bonus.

Considering this is the self-proclaimed "shrimp destination," my bf and I are thoroughly disappointed with you Bubba Gump. You bring shame to Forrest Gump.... and that's a big, big NO NO.

The bf and I decided to dine here after spending my last free day before starting work at Universal. He's a big seafood guy and even though I'm not, I conceded. I've dined at the Bubba Gump is San Francisco two times and I was not impressed. IMO, Bubba Gump is along the same lines as Joe's Crab Shack. Nothing special.

We started with the 3/4 pound shrimp and got half cajun, half garlic butter. The shrimp was disgusting! It was super soggy and tasted like frozen shrimp -- not what you'd expect from a "shrimp" place. If you want this type of shrimp, head over to Boiling Crab. Although they're both not using fresh shrimp, BC does it right!

Clam chowder is disgusting! I only drank two spoonfuls before sending it back. Flavor was off and it tasted like coconut milk for some reason.

The only good thing was the shrimp po sandwich with fried shrimp. It wasn't great but it was edible.

Will I ever come back? Hell no! Go to Bucca after Universal.

This is my first time going to Bubba Gump and it is just OK. So the three of us decided to eat here before watching movies in Universal's theather. All of us have never been there before so we didn't know what to expect.

We ordered what was suggested by our server, which were Shrimps Net Catch and Shrimp Heaven. The Shrimps Net Catch is actually pretty good. We ordered the regular size (3/4 pound), half is butter and the other is cajun. I am personally diggin' the cajun better than butter cooked.

Moving on to the Shrimp Heaven, we got boiled shrimp, coconut shrimp, some kind of popcorn shrimp and another one which I can't recall at the moment. It comes with some dipping sauces and I must say that this one didn't quite make it.

Service was very attentive and seems a little rushing us to make our orders. We end up paying a little over $15 for each including 15% tips. At the end our server actually came to us twice asking if we are ready to pay the bill. So, we get the message that they want us gone after eating. Not so happy about that actually.

Friend and I dined here over the weekend. Everything started off on the good side. They asked if we wanted inside or patio (mind you it's hella cold outside). So we asked for indoor seating. So they walk us to our table, and place us at a table right at the huge patio door. We tried, but it was just too cold. We might as well have been outside. So they quickly move us to a more comfortable location. So, now our waiter. Now from what I remember from my experience from the other locations, they are suppose to quiz us on the movie and just be energetic, well ours seemed to be upset that he had to work on a Saturday night. So he was just horrible. I started to quiz him since he failed to do so,lol. Other then that the food was good, and we made the best out of it. I do recommend the restaurant, but not this location.

Nice area, and the food's what you'd expect from any Bubba Gump's.

The service is REALLY attentive and friendly. A bit much though (we were rather frightened by our waiter, but...in a good way?).

The food was good, but not exceptional for fried foods. But they offer tons and tons of shrimp options, so eh. =P

Desserts are intense, so we opted for the mini Jenny snacks. Mousse and stuff. Pretty good, very sweet.

There was a creepy shrimp that paraded around the entrance that took pictures with passer-bys. o.O...

Bubba Gump has pretty tasty food, though I think it's too expensive; I enjoy eating here once in awhile nonetheless.

Something that stands out a lot is the great customer service that they have.  Everyone is always so cheerful and courteous.  I've never had a bad experience eating here, and doubt that I ever will.

Good food, even better customer service... I'll be eating here again.

pretty good but very pricey.

the best things ive had here were the cajun shrimp appetizer (i always get 2) and the i'm stuffed. we tried a bunch of other stuff but honestly it wasnt anything spectacular.

the restaurant has a nice little theme going on and the waiters and stuff provide good service so the only thing i can complain about is the lack of kick to the food and the price. either way, i think i'll be back one of these days to rekindle the old flame before i met boiling crab. lol

If you feel like having great shrimp, eating outside, and having a tall beer, then Bubba Gump is the place to go.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I thought it was going to be overpriced and feel like any other chain. Even though we came in right before closing, the service was great and our server was really nice. The garlic bread is really good, and the shrimp sampler not bad. I think the atmosphere is what makes it a fun place, and they've definitely succeeded in making it somewhere people want to go. I would definitely go back to try one of their sandwiches. Next time!

I love Bubba~!!
Awesome selection of appetizers and classic Margaritas.....
That alone, is a great formula for a bloody GOOD TIME!

After a long day of hard work..... i love their beachy flavor!
kick back, enjoy the energy of this place~  it's just awesome!

Their service is more energetic then TGIF~ or any others...
Their unique way of serving food... is absolutely out of the window...
from metal mini pot, right in front of your face
to newspaper in a basket..

and you can always enjoy the love story of Forest and Bubba at 24/7!!
or go out there, snatch a pix with the actual Bubba the shrimp!

"Its like a TGIF except almost everything on the menu has shrimp!"

That is what my coworker exclaimed as we went on our lunch break. We sat at the bar because there are just no time to get a table and wait for service. I ordered a couple of beers that were at their usual City Walk price of almost $5 a piece.

The service was very slow at it bothered me when I watched a young man dig something out of the trash show it to a waitress and throw it away again. Then he tried to head into the kitchen. We called him on it. Telling him that's gross and he better not be cooking our food. Then we told him to go wash his hands. Never saw him again.

We ordered the clam chowder and shared the peel and eat shrimp. Both were not bad. The clam chowder was at least better than the canned stuff. And the shrimp with the Cajun spice were pretty good I guess. Smaller than some other places and not nearly as spicy but they tasted like shrimp so I can't complain to much.

I hate giving bad rating but the bartender completely forgot about us after our first beer. I didn't see him again until I was done with my food. Not to mention the whole cook digging in the trash thing.

Bubba Gumps is overpriced.  If you want really good seafood..go somewhere else.
Saying that...their onion rings are good w/ their chipolte dipping sauce.
And their "I'm stuffed Shrimp" is good.
They have these new dessert shots (non alcoholic)....they come in singles or you can get a set of the 6 different kinds.  Well, I would pass on these. They aren't that great.

Run forest Run!!!

When this restaurant first opened I was curious; who owns it?
The studios?

Anyway, I love shrimp and I have been to various locations including other countries. My last visit was in Cancun.

The food is ok; personally I think it's over priced for what you're getting. Don't get me wrong, it's not expensive but the quality vs. the price is not there for me.

All food gave me a sense of subway....
Let me tell you why!

All plates seemed portioned, the food seemed processed/frozen with no personalization to the guest.
I confirmed this in Cancun.

We ordered a variety of plates but the one I really liked was the Cajun Shrimp. I enjoyed this plate so much that I ordered another helping. Towards the end of the meal I ordered more garlic bread for the Cajun sauce, there was a lot left over.

The waiter declined to bring me garlic bread or any other order of bread. Of course, I asked why?

He explained that all meals are pre packaged and portioned and that they could not break up one to satisfy a customer.

SO I WAS RIGHT !!!!

Bottom-line....
You get a pre packaged TV dinner brought to you by a waiter.
It is over priced for the quality and the drinks are weak.

No skilled chefs, no personalization, no catering to good clients, no substitutions, no extras....   NOTHING!!

This is a tourist attraction or a place to take the kids if they like Forest Gump.
That's probably why there is on at the Universal City Walk.

Cool to go just to experience but that's about it!

This place is O.K.  The food is not really impressive.  It's expensive for what you get but the restaurant itself is really cute.  I would go again just for the ambiance and the drinks.  This place specializes in shrimp, obviously.  So if you don't like shrimp don't come here!

So this place is usually a bit more crowded and smaller than the other one in Long Beach.  I only went into the one in Santa Monica Pier to use the bathroom so I dont know how that one is...lol.  Anyways I like it here.  I love the Shrimper's Net Catch Cajun flavor.  If you dont like spicy you can get half/half.  Its yum!~

Anyways this one time I was here there was a long line... i forgot which holiday.  It was around 10pm and I had waited around for a good 1.5 hours looking at shops and coming back.  Well I went to smoke in the corner and I notice some employees.  They have a  flask and when they see me laughing they offer some to me.  Well I cant say no to alcohol... it was Jack daniels and after a few swigs I got a lot happier.  Gotta love the friendly staff!

I am not ashamed to admit I fucking love this place.

Why do I like it? Is it because of the food? Nope!
Atmosphere? Nope!
Staff? Nope!

I love this place because it's a THEMED RESTAURANT based on a MOVIE about a MENTALLY RETARDED MAN! You never really thought about that did you? How many theme restaurants or businesses are based on that kind of movie? Exactly!

What other movies like this deserve their own restaurants? How about a Sling Blade themed french fried potater shack? How about a One Flew Over The Cuckoos (the prices are insane!) chicken restaurant?  How about an Of Mice & Men themed place that serves mice & rabbits then at the end of your meal Lennie comes out and kills a woman at your table? Or how about an I Am Sam themed gay bar? Oops sorry I got that one confused with Milk.

Also I think the fried shrimp poboy here is awesome.
Not awesome: the staff having to do Forrest Gump trivia and other demeaning things when they could be getting me my food faster.

GUMP!!

So heres my story with Bubba Gump. I first went here when i was at the Mall of America then again in Vegas then again in New York then again in Florida  & more times than i can count in Hollywood and i had never seen the movie! Now just recently actually in Jan 2009 I saw the movie and I LOVE THE MOVIE! Its my favorite! So now I wanna go back to Bubba Gump

First of all the Decor is amazing, it makes you feel like Forrest might walk up any moment. Also the "Run Forrest" "Stop Forrest" signs are clever to flag down a waiter/waitress.

So for drinks. Lotsa Lava is really good, its like pina colada with a strawberry swirl. and you get a free cup with it! Also theres frozen lemonade thats fizzy in either blue or pink and you get a free cup with that. Im not sure about the alcoholic drinks because im 16.

Food! The IM STUFFED SHRIMP is really good but it is a large serving. Even better is the Shrimp New Orleans if you like a spicy kick in your food! Its not too spicy but spicy enough, just squirt some lemon on those bad boys and you're good to go. Probably one of my favorite dishes there. Now, when I was in New York I had a dish, maybe it was a special because I haven't seen it anywhere else it was Chipotle Shrimp and it was SOOOOO GOOOOOD! Like my favorite shrimp meal ANYWHERE it was spicy and creamy and garlicky and just delicious but I haven't been able to find it. If you ever stumble upon that dish, by all means order it up!

The desert here is good from what i've tasted the key lime pie is decent. But what you really need to get is the Bread Pudding. It is sooooo good especially the sauce that comes on it, probably the best restraunt bread pudding I ever had.

Make sure before you go to watch the movie! There will be trivia.

:)

My girlfriend and I came here to eat after visiting Universal Studios because we were in the mood for shrimp. We split a shrimp sampler entree which had four different kinds of shrimp. It was more than enough for both of us. There were three varieties of fried shrimp and also a peel and eat shrimp. The peel and eat shrimp was pretty much what you would expect to get at a low end buffet, but was still better than any of the other shrimps. So basically the shrimp ranged from mediocre to gross.

If the food here was bad, the service was horrible. We ordered food/drinks and never interacted with a wait-person again. Random people just came by to drop the food/drinks off without saying anything to us. We got no refills on our drinks. After they brought the food out, we finished eating and waited about 20 minutes until someone asked us if we needed the check. At that point we had already stacked all our dishes into a giant pile and pushed them to the edge of the table. I would respect the non-interactive style of service if it was faster than normal service - but it was not. We were simply forgotten. I would probably not eat here again because it would be an insult to my dignity.

Let me say that the staff has been 5 star every time I have been. Very energetic, friendly, and fun.

The menu is fairly boring, unimaginative, and not at all engaging with haute cuisine. Some of my more critical friends would call it pedestrian.

That being said - they specialize in shrimp and low end seafood. They have a decent bar. The atmosphere is fun especially if you had children. I don't:)

That being said - everything I have had here was especially oily/greasy. Shrimp with crappy sauce should be easy to accomplish. It apparently isn't for them.

So, my drinks have consistently been good here. They had decent calamari. But, in general the food is less than average, fatty, and greasy.

I feel like a jerk reviewing this place. The reason is - this place is a ton of fun. The bar is fun. The staff is fun. The ambiance is entertaining. The food just isnt that good. They need to work on the temps of the fryers so that everything doesnt come out dripping grease.

The bartenders are good here - the waiters are great. The hostess is awesome. But, the food is very very average.

5 stars of fun - 1 star of food.

I came here for a birthday and they took care of us. I have to say - these big chains are pretty good about accommodating big groups and entertaining them.

We sat in a semi-private room and they entertained us with Forrest Gump trivia and they put on the Lakers game upon requesting it.

The food was average. I had the $16 tilapia and it was decent. I can't say anything more than it was just ok. Did not blow me away but I also had no criticism.

The waiter we had was young and super friendly.

I would go back in a large group but would not eat here left to my own devices.

Well, to start off, their "Shrimp Heaven" is, like, 20 shrimp. The quality was very good, but considering it was $22, I can't say I'd get it regularly.

Their servers are the kind that are ridiculously perky and they are apparently required to make small-talk with their customers where really you just want your food fast and hot and plentiful. Seriously, are they all on drugs? Maybe. (I loved "Forrest Gump," but if I had to work there, I'd shoot myself in the head.) One time, the server invited herself to sit down beside me and started quizzing me on the movie--totally random. And there was no polite way to end the conversation because she would handle my food.

Go there only if you really want seafood.

Me and my boyfriend had recently visited california on vacation and my relatives took us to city walk in universal studios since I've never been there along with my boyfriend. My aunt said it was up to us what we wanted to eat and we chose Bubba Gumps. I was not dissappointed.

Although I will admit I was a little cramped in the booth because there was 6 of us. I don't know if they had any tables but that would have been better. I had no idea what I wanted so I ended up going with the shrimp scampi. I really liked it. The portion was too big for me to eat so I ended up taking it home. My aunt told them it was my birthday (it was only about 5 days later and I wouldn't be in CA on my birthday) and they came out, sang a corny song, and gave me ice cream. I still enjoyed it. I wish they had one here in Washington.

I also want to mention that the stars vary depending on people's experiences here. I saw that one person gave it a one, and someone else gave it a 5. So it all depends on your experience there.

My family and I went here on a whim because stupid Hard Rock Cafe wanted us to wait another 30 minutes in addition to the 45 minutes that we already waited. Anyway, we got seated really quickly. Food arrived quickly as well. I got the shrimp & veggie stir-fry. It was good yet too sweet and the rice drowned in sauce. If it had less sauce, I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more. I love the layout, sitting "outside" was cool. Our table was super awesome at the Forrest Gump triva by the way.

I can't see how the place stays in business.  Recently, I ate there for the first time.  My friend warned me about the overpriced, unappetizing deep fried seafood they serve.  With my short attention span, I ignored everything she said and was lured in by the guy dressed as a shrimp waving us into the door.  To put it in a nutshell, we had 5 medium coconut battered shrimp, two small breaded cod fillets, fries.  I usually like fried seafood, but this was dried out and flavorless, I had to drown it in Tabasco and that didn't even help.  It tasted worse than what you can get from the grocery store and microwave at home.  Our food was served on a thin paper plate, the kind that you can get at the dollar store.  Total bill with a beer and a lemonade-  38 bucks.  Needless to say, I was robbed.

Sadness is me when faced with what to eat at Universal Citywalk.  One of my friends really wanted Chinese food from Shanghai Mein but we discovered it closed a while back (and was plastered with weird hand-written signs that they owed everyone money).  So we walked into Bubba Gumps dejectedly.

I think it's a somewhat weird setup (I believe this used to be a Gladstone's) and we walked way in before discovering the host section.  I suppose they want you to look at all the crap on the walls.  The workers are friendly but just a little bit too tired of life.

Our waitress explained in monotone how it works "flip the sign if you want service-- go means you don't want help, stop means you want help."  At least that's what she said.  I thought it would be the other way around but that movie did come out a million years ago so I can't say for sure.

She did try to push alcohol on us and since I don't waste my precious pennies on what sure to be awful cocktails, I stuck with iced tea.  My friend said her booze was awfully sweet. Yeah...not surprised.

I ordered and asked if the starches could be substituted for something healthy like a salad or veggies.  The waitress said no, only for another starch.  Well hell.  I got some seafood and it was depressing.  I love seafood.  What I got were rubber discs of scallops and dried out shrimp.  Only the fish was okay.  The rice was stale.

Time for a new movie themed restaurant!

If i want to express "Whatever" in stars, would that be TWO?

I had Bubba Gump Shrimp for the first time in Maui 2 years ago and was disappointed.  This location wasn't that much better.

The hush puppies-  Whatever a.k.a. 2 stars.  I like Mr. Cecil's Ribs' hush puppies and expected something better since at Bubba they mix in crabs and corn.  Big mistake.

Garlic Bread-  The waiter said thsi is one of their best appetizers.  I took the advice.  It's very good, but, the frozen ones from the grocery store actually taste better for 1/2 the price.

Coconut Shrimp-  Whatever ....this is supposed to be super good.  THe marmalade sauce was a tad too sweet and the cononut shrimp wasn't impressive.  HOW CAN YOU make this dish MEDIOCRE?

Stuffed Shrimp with cheese-  Whatever.  Yeah its good, but I coulda done the same with some shrimp and a ton of Sargento mozzarella cheese.

Bucket of shrimp (garlic and cajun) -  Yeah, itts decent but nothing to die for.

Overall, I can replace every item I had here with another place that had it MUCH better, which explains once again that this place is just, a simple, WHATEVER.

Save your money and go to the Fast Food Style Versailles upstairs or even Hard Rock Cafe.  Better yet, skip dinner at this place altogether, and just gorge on some Popcornopolis.

I loved and adored the book "Forest Gump" (yeah, movie is based on a book which is 100 times better).  The movie was, "good."
And the restaurant is lame.

THey shoulda just left it at the movie...

We went here after going to the Imax.  Choosing from the raft of tourist traps that line the walkway, our vote went to seafood. We didn't expect anything extraordinary.  The drinks were okay, the food was pretty good, the service was adequate, and the food was above average.  For those prices it should be.

We had the hush puppies appetizer.  Good, but too few.  All the portions were small. I had the stuffed trout - very good, but all that came with it was white rice.  Bland as hell.  If I'd known that I would have sprung extra for the salad.  But you shouldn't have to spring extra just to get full.  My husband had the mixed fried seafood bucket, whatever it's called.  Bad fried fish is awful, but this was terrific.  Lightly crisped.  Came with middling good fries.

Being a tourist trap we knew we would pay too much, and were not surprised.  Overall a fun experience but not one I'll be telling my great grandchildren about.

Bubba Gump is where my party of 14 ended up the night that Saddle Ranch was so rude to us.  It was past 10 and they were still open so we were grateful for that.  I think they're open until 11pm.

The staff was fun, they come around to the table and get you riled up.  They hula hoop with you in the front... they take dorky pics with you and generally, make your experience a pleasant one.  The funny decor was entertaining and they had fun drink creations.

The food was a bit above average but nothing too exciting.  My poor boy sandwich had great shrimp but I didn't eat the sandwich part as it was dry.  My boyfriends shrimp heaven was pretty good and everyone at the table seemed to be mostly satisfied with their meals too.  They were out of a stuffed Shrimp plate that 3 people in our party ordered.  I guess cause it was so late...

I'm not sure I'd seek this restaurant out but definitely wouldn't mind if I ended up here again with some friends. :)

I love me some scrimps! If you come here... yes there will be a wait. A very long wait. My boyfriend & I had a craving for shrimp so we stopped here after walking the Santa Monica pier.... we waited over an hour. Tons of people.
The food was okay. I had the coconut shrimp and my BF had the sampler. But it seems liked a small amount of food... for the large price you pay. Ask for their chipotle ranch dipping sauce though. MMmmmm! It will not let you down. It's awesome with their fries.

my first time after going to universal studios for the first time as well... pretty good experience. i always knew that they are connected to the forrest gump movie, which i absolutely adore the movie! awesome!

anyways, customer service was awesome. since the lakers and nuggets were playing we requested to be seated near the projector to watch the game. they gave us a private room! awesome! we had conversations with them about the team and the players. they are so easy to talk to...

food were pricey. anything is pricey to me these days since college is ruining my wallet, but the food was awesome. i tried to get the cheapest.. the bbq chicken salad. hahaha but it was really good and they gave a huge portion. i still tried the shrimp since we had appetizers.

it was a good experience. i think i would go again... when i make bank. hahaha.

This place was surprisingly good for me since I'm not quite the biggest seafood eater. My friend & I came here for dinner & their portions are huge, enough to share even though we didn't. We ate our hearts out. I got pasta & it was delicious.

i came in not really expecting anything cuz i knew a lot of people weren't really into this place...
---

i really liked this place

service is spot on.... food wise its much better than joes crab shack.. a tiny bit above long john silvers
the servers are quite entertaining and i flirted with her to get double shots in my drink haha

i had the po boy sandwich which was kinda good and an alcoholic beverage and that came out to 18... not bad

I prefer visiting this location more than the one in Santa Monica as this one seems cleaner and a bit better.

Both the food and the service have been fine the multiple times I have dined here.

It's now my favorite place to eat while visiting City Walk.

I love shrimp and I love 'Forrest Gump'.

Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried.  pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. shrimp fajitas, shrimp & lobster, shrimp linguini... That- that's about it

So it's a no brainer, I loved eating here!

I came here with my hubby and his friends to celebrate his birthday.  The whole party had to be there to be seated.  Since 5 out of 9 of us were extremely late due to traffic, and they would only seat you once the entire party arrives, the ones who were late (me included) didn't have to wait at all!

The server was decent, came by to get our drinks quickly, and we also received them quickly.  I got the Island Blaster, which was half decent.  It didn't give me a buzz at all, which only means they didn't put much alcohol in it since I'm a light weight.  The water cups has grooves on the top and bottom so the server can stack them super high and carry a bunch of them in one hand.  That was pretty surprising.

I got the Boat Trash, which consists of deep fried shrimp and fish, 2 lobster claws, and fries that got soggy after I cracked the claws.  They weren't tooo impressive.  The claws weren't exactly fresh (and I'm spoiled by fresh lobster from the Lobster Fest).  I did get mash potatoes on the side, and that was yummy!

The place does have a great atmosphere.  The boys who ordered beer on tap got to take home a new beer glass.  There was some milf walking around that all the boys were also gawking at.  The bathroom was very clean, so that's always a plus.

Overall a fun place to go to for OK food.  It is seafood so of course it's a tad pricy, but it's not too awful.

A review, Hollywood style. (Pardon the formatting it didn't come out just right)

EXT. BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP --- Saturday Night

EJ and TRISTEN stand cautiously to the side, staring at the huge line of people waiting to get in.

  EJ
I think we need to just walk in and find our friends

  TRISTEN
Let's do it.

INT. BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP --- An hour later

EJ and Tristen wind through the large HALF-EMPTY restaurant after nearly suffocating in the pointless gift shop.

  EJ
Tristen, I just realized that there's a line around the block and the place is half-empty.

  TRISTEN
Don't ask me to explain it, hooker.  If our friend wants to have her birthday dinner at a restaurant named after a company started by a fictional retarded character, we should go happily.

EJ and Tristen meet their friend, with a wonderful new hair color and greet her whole family, whose been waiting.

INT. BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP --- Twenty Minutes Later

A dumb waiter (no, not a dumbwaiter) approaches.

  DUMB WAITER
Hi!  My name is (fill in a last name being used as a first name) and I'll be your waiter.  Can I take your order and then take 45 minutes to bring it?

  EVERYONE
Absolutely!

INT. BUBBA GRUMP SHRIMP --- Forty-Five Minutes Later

  DUMB WAITER
Hey, who has the popcorn shrimp?

  EJ/TRISTEN (in unison)
Need food/must eat or going to die.

EJ and Tristen pull the box apart, finding four pieces of shrimp and a box full of popcorn.  Tristen turns the pouty face on EJ.

  EJ
Hooker, there's always In-And-Out or Taco Bell afterwards?  Let's get beers.
 (out loud)
Who is my waiter, I need a beer!

None of the other dumb waiters notice his plea.

  EJ
I said, I need a beer, who is my waiter?  You all look like wannabe character actors living in a single in the valley!

He gets ignored.

  EJ
Get me a beer and I can get you an audition on Lost!

A huge STAMPEDE of dumb looking waiters trample EJ towards where they think the voice is coming from.

  DUMB WAITER
Who said that?

  OTHER DUMB WAITER
I thought the bucket of shrimp shells said it.

  OTHER DUMB WAITER
I thought the pitcher of beer said it

  OTHER OTHER DUMB WAITER
Oh no, we have to use our brains...must...not...think...

Instantaneously, the collective thoughts of the waiters causes a cataclysmic explosion as their heads all explode, drenching the nearby patrons with blood...or so it would seem.  EJ pulls himself up, slowly.

  EJ
Call...horspital...now...

  TRISTEN
This sucks, we're covered in blood!  And it's not eve prom night!

EJ makes a strange face, lifts a finger.

  EJ
That's not blood, taste it.

While the other patrons look on in disgust, Tristen takes a leftover piece of shrimp and dips it in what everyone thinks is blood, and takes a bite.

  TRISTEN
Dude, it's just cocktail sauce.  These waiters aren't even people, they're animatronic robots!

  EJ
So that explains why they're so stupid...

  TRISTEN
Stupid is as stupid does.

FOREST GUMP steps out of the kitchen, with a box of chocolates.

  FORREST GUMP
Just pay for your overpriced unsatisfactory food and get out!  But don't forget the gift shop!

  TRISTEN
How could we, it takes an hour to get through it!

The entire restaurant ful of patrons laughs, Laugh-In style theme music plays and everyone, including the now-dead animatronic Robots get up and dance to the music, as we....

                                                                                              FADE OUT.

Third Bubba Gump I've been to and just as good of an experience as my previous two times (Santa Monica and Maui). Usually order the Bourbon Mahi Mahi, which is one of my favorite dishes of all time, but decided to change it up and have this assortment of shrimp instead. Still very good. Blueberry lemonade still my favorite and hush puppies as good as always. We were originally seated outside but it was way too cramp and crowded so we went back inside, which was definitely more cozy and comfortable.

I'm not really sure what I was thinking by coming here. I feel rather misled. Came here Friday night with a friend I hadn't seen in about 9 years. We both thought this would be a fairly good choice. I figured a restaurant with "Shrimp Company" in the title would have a myriad of shrimp dishes. Yeah, not so much. I was thinking damn near the whole menu would be shrimp, but there weren't enough shrimp dishes for my taste.

The service was really good. That part they got right. Our waiter & waitress (I think the waiter was training a new girl) was very friendly and in a good mood for someone who was working on a Friday night. My only gripe is that they were kind of hard to track down at times. The food was ok. I had a BBQ pork sandwich and it was good but the bread wasn't all that great. The onion rings were really good. I ordered a raspberry margarita that sucked. It came out on the rocks and they inform me after that I would have to request it be blended. Well ok. I sent that drink back and ordered a pina colada which was really really good. This place is a bit pricey for what it is. I can't see myself coming back here in the future.
