If you're looking for a photographer who has the ability to depict the humanity, character and unique beauty of each subject upon whom he trains his lens, you owe yourself the gift of working with Bryan Tan. His work speaks for itself. After my initial visit to his website, I realized it would also speak for me.
My purpose in seeking a photographer was not nearly as loftily artistic as what some of his work depicts-I needed a head shot for my LinkedIn profile. As a baby boomer recently establishing myself in the content writing and editing world, I wanted a photo that would capture those aspects of myself that convey my professionalism, intelligence, sincerity, and approachability.
My next concern was cost. Bryan's rates were well within my budget. I emailed him and he responded within twenty-four hours. In all my dealings with him, I found Bryan to be professional, competent, talented, punctual, and respectful. In my initial face-to-face meeting with Bryan, I could not help but notice his artistic eye scanning me almost involuntarily as he assessed how to apply his keen eye to showing me in the best light. After a few weeks, we set an appointment for a photo shoot. In a short time, Bryan had a barrage of photos from which I was able to select several for my LinkedIn profile.
His studio borders Chinatown and North Beach, but the parking issue was a nothing-burger because Bryan provided me a parking pass for the nearby Hilton garage.
All in all, an excellent experience and a great series of photographs at a nominal cost within a time frame that exceeded my expectations. -

After recently deciding that I need some professional heashots taken of me, I found Bryan through a bit of web search. After looking at his webpage, and getting a good vibe from this work - I got in touch and made an appt. a week later.
He was very personable and easy to work with.
Things went great, I quickly relaxed and the more pictures that were taken the more I was pleased with his work.
Turn around time was quick and he followed through on everything he said he would. My final retouched photographs look fantastic.
I would totally recommend Bryan Tan Photography to anyone looking for some great pics! -

Bryan Tan's work speaks for itself, so there's little reason for me to go into detail about how sharp his photos are. He edits them afterwards to give them that visual "pop" which will make your head shot or promotional picture really stand out.
What you don't experience until after you've booked him is the level of professionalism and long term support Bryan provides you with. He delivers on his promises and is an absolute joy to work with.
In short, Bryan Tan is a supremely talented young professional, and I couldn't recommend him more. -

I needed a professional headshot and found Bryan through other yelp reviews. He defintely lived up to the great reviews. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. His headshots were great and once we narrowed it down to the final one, he did some touch ups and the final result was fantastic!

We needed some corporate shots done quickly, so I went on Craigslist and randomly found Bryan. I really loved his sports shots in the portfolio and also the wide range of styles that he offered.
Bryan was super efficient with his communications and straight-forward about pricing and timing. He showed up on time and was very professional. We weren't the best crew to take direction, but he managed to stay patient with our odd requests and had a sense of humor about the whole thing. He also took into consideration the sample shots that I had sent to him and brought the right equipment to replicate the shots that we wanted. Following the shoot, he sent our proofs to us immediately and also re-touched everything within a day.
We were really pleased with the work that he performed. Our shots turned out great.

I posted an ad on Craiglist looking for a photographer who would take some basic photos at a low cost. I received dozens of reponses, but after seeing how beautiful and expressive Bryan's photos were, I had to go with him.
When I met Bryan, he was extremely personable and his friendly demeanor set me at ease as if I was hanging out with an old friend. His instructions were easy to follow and the whole shoot went very smoothly. After a mere15 minutes, I had 45 great photos to choose from. -

I am not quite sure what a better word for it is, but I am so NOT photogenic. This guy made even me look good!!! My family owned a photography studio all while I was growing up, and I still don't have any photos I like of myself.
I am so pleased with Bryan Tan's work, I cannot even tell you. His style is really one of a kind, and I am now a huge fan. You cannot go wrong with this photographer. -

I found Bryan when looking for executive headshots for work. His portfolio offered something unique, not like all of the boring corporate headshots that one typically sees. He was able to capture personality and create an interesting photo that I am proud to show people.
Bryan was a pleasure to work with. He came to my office, showed up on time, and was very flexible with my time constraints (fitting him in between meetings). The turnaround time was quick, he sent over proofs to choose from in a couple of days, and I received my final photos two days after that.
I would definitely recommend Bryan for someone who wants an affordable photographer with high-quality results. -

Bryan is a great photographer to work with. Not only are his pictures high quality, but his friendly and relaxed manner made the whole shoot very enjoyable. After just 20 minutes we had dozens of great photos to choose from. And as Brian said in an earlier review, he can make even someone like me look good!

I hate posing for actors headshots, but every decade or so I gotta do it. Bryan did a great job of putting me at ease and making the process painless, and I'm very satisfied with the pictures he took. Also, I was in a rush for the prints, and Bryan made sure I got them within 48 hours as well.
Quality work, great price, I'd go to Bryan again for any photo shoot! -

In need of photos for my Web site as well as for personal use, I found Bryan Tan's Web site and was mightily impressed with his work. I arranged for a photo shoot to get a head shot I liked as well as portraits and "lifestyle" pictures (indoor and outside). The results were terrific! Each of the various poses has at least one shot that works for my needs. And many of the poses actually have several such shots.
After shooting in Bryan's studio for an hour or so, we retreated to the beach and got some stellar shots with great sky and ocean backgrounds. The ocean shots are exquisite: lighting, composition, color. If it's possible to describe photos that almost surpass the natural radiance of a naturally radiant day, I'd say Bryan's work goes with that direction. Amazing.
Beyond his professional skills, Bryan is remarkably easy to work with: smart, personable, highly intelligent with a keen photographic eye. Yet he's also down to earth and task-oriented: he knew I needed photos and he did everything possible to achieve the results I wanted. My great experience working with Bryan makes me all the more excited to get my written Web site content completed.
I recommend Bryan Tan highly and I know I'll turn to him again for future photo needs. -

I had Bryan as the photographer for my engagement dinner. He was on time and professional. In general, I liked the posed pictures better than the ones that he took of people talking, but I guess that is common for photographers. I had five 8 by 12 prints, and they turned out great.
I really liked 1/3 of the 60 or so photos taken. -

I actually found out about Bryan Tan from YELP. How helpful this site is! I had the pleasure of working with Bryan and might I say that I had a very enjoyable time. He's very easy going and friendly and his headshot package was very affordable. My pictures came out great and it was really hard to choose the winner. I'm the kind of person who tenses up in front of a camera, but it was really easy to relax in front of him. He took the most wonderful candid photos of me. I do hope to work with him in the future.

I absolutely recommend Bryan Tan Photography. Bryan is not only very enjoyable to work with but his work is also of great quality. I needed portrait shots of myself for my website, and I usually am much more at ease behind the camera then in front of it! But he Bryan does a very good job at making you at ease. Loved working with him. Love the results. What more to say then - I would use him again! Thank you Bryan!

Wow. We hired Bryan for some headshots/team photos at our start-up and couldn't have been happier. He is professional, fast, easy going, friendly, and easy to work with...but most of all, he takes great photos. We were all very happy with him and would recommend him to anyone.
