This is exactly why i dont like small stores, the sales associates were just down right pushy.  The selection isn't that great either.  I'd be avoiding this place from now on.

I'm not so into Union St, but it's hard to find jeans expensive enough for my taste anywhere else. Beware: Bryan Lee seems primarily targeted at those still-in-the-closet / metrosexual white guys looking for yet another "cool" shirt to wear untucked on Friday evening - sort of halfway between the Ben Sherman "shirtboy" look and resortwear.

Skipping all that, they have a nice rack of $200+ jeans, and their sales people actually say hello and will _help_ you find something to _buy_ in their store! It's like a time machine, taking you back to a bygone era when shop owners employed people who wanted to work and who understood that a little bit of helpful charm goes a long way to filling the register.

An added bonus is that when you stop in you're likely to get an eyeful of the latest Marina plastic surgery disaster, in my case a top-heavy, hollow-assed blonde trying on short, age-inappropriate satiny dresses while her cheese puff boyfriend adjusted his lapels and talked about his wine fridge with some older guy, who was only there to try to get a bit of side-boob.

i was in dire need of retail therapy and of course i stumbled upon bryan lee

this place has all the jeans a girl can ever need and want! the girls that work there are friendly and dead honest! if it doesn't look good on you then they'll let you know! they have styles and names that i haven't seen at other boutiques in the city. if you want a pair of jeans that makes you look like you've been using that buns of steel video, this is the place! then again, at around $200 a pop, they better!

they also have a great selection of tops and a few charles david shoes. there's even a side for the men with just as cool styles.

after and hour of trying on every single pair of jeans (i'm so not kidding) i ended up walking out with four pairs of jeans (you do the math). this session of therapy is so over!

I fell in love with Bryan when I lived in Santa Barbara, but my heart transitioned to Lee when I first got here to the City.

Lee buys some great sh*t and keeps me from having to frequent multiple stores to keep myself sporting hot gear. I will admit, though, that despite the hot men's selection, the girls win out in this place ... how many times have I picked up stuff for a girlfriend instead of me??

Minus one half star 'cause I never see Lee when I stop by anymore and minus another half 'cause they're often out of the small sizes!

I love shopping at Bryan Lee. They have what you need for Men and Women.  I have a new place on Union to shop. For my money I'll be shopping at Bryan Lee.  Plus they have very cool people working there.

Perhaps it was just a bad day for the sales associates but frankly, when I went in, they were complete bitches! I actually really like the clothes and so from that aspect, this place gets 5 stars but these SAs need some more training. Maybe they were new, maybe it was an off day, I don't know. Frankly, I was pretty turned off.

I tried on a pair of jeans that was slightly snug and asked if they had it in one size up. The girl just kind of sighed and said they didn't. I went out to keep browsing and uh, I found the next size up myself.

I'll be back at some point, but they left a bad taste in my mouth with my latest visit.

I happen to work across the street from this lovely little boutique and I stumbled in there one afternoon on my lunch break...

I stumbled out of there $230 poorer with some amazing jeans..

Annie, (i hope that's her name, she was SO nice) helped my sorry ass try on at least 15 pairs before I decided on a pair of Sevens.. she was absolutely the most helpful sales person I have had yet on Union street.

This place has a wall of sporadically sized jeans but finding a great pair in your size really does feel like winning the lotto. I told Annie what I wanted and she chose literally 10 pairs for me to try on. Leave the picking to the experts because I walked out with a pair of jeans I know my friends are tired of hearing about..

Cute place, nice staff, awesome jeans. What else is there?

Customer Service: Excellent
Clothing Selection: Sometimes excellent sometimes good
Location: Excellent
Prices: Ouch!

I enjoy breaking the bank at this store. Their service gives their undivided attention as well as honest opinion.

Not only can you find a little something for yourself, but you can buy something for your man. Something unique and argyle!

Gotta love this place on pay day! Then go next door for a glass of wine at that place I always forget the name of... help me out here...

Cheers!

This boutique makes me homesick for LA. They carry a lot of LA based designers here and many of my fave brands, The size issue is as usual a problem due to x smalls typically being left of all the cute stuff, but occasionally I will score with a hot outfit in my size. Of late, an adorable Ella Moss sundress, silver flat sandals which I lived in on my trip to Miami and St. Martin, and a wayyyy too expensive pair of jeans for my hubby, which they hemmed as well.

All the sales girls are awesome, helpful, and remember who I am, as well as where I travel. They have made me not only enjoy shopping in this store, but also feel more welcome in my new city.

So I went to Bryan Lee after reading about it in the negative reviews of "that other place" across the street and I could not have been more pleased.  Lee himself helped me as I tried on several pair of jeans from their wide selection and a cute jacket.  He then helped me select a cool t-shirt and fun sweater for my husband which he modeled for me.  I will go back frequently as much for the great selection as for the wonderful service!

5 stars for the fact that this small shop carries great  clothing for men and women.  When my boyfriend and I are both looking for a new outfit Bryan Lee is usually our first and last stop.

I have learned many lessons from VH1's Flavor of Love, the least of which is the fact that a woman who starts her sentences with the address of "Bitch,...." commands respect.

Sometimes you need this skill when dealing with wily customer service representatives of the Marina variety.

Witness: One recent Saturday afternoon. I slumped idly on a stool while my friend tried on a few tops. Obviously, I eavesdropped on any conversation in the area.

The scene: A customer comes in with a pair of jeans, a recent purchase. Blondie explains that she had bought them here, and although she normally does not buy Joe's because they stretch (I hear you, girlfriend, Joe's stretch like a mother), she was assured repeatedly by the salesgirl that they would not do this. And they did. Clearly, they would not show her skinny ass as skinny as it truly was. (I thought.)

Salesgirl: Um, first of all, I would NEVER say that they would not stretch.

Oh, snap. She "first-of-all"-ed her! And without so much as an apology or fake "sweetie" to cushion the blow.

So customer is all taken aback by the fact that the problem has not been fixed easily and immediately. She mumbled something about this being her "go-to" place for everything. I am holding in snickers and wishing I had popcorn. Some owner type then comes out and does spin control, and soon Blondie is trying on more pairs of jeans and the situation appears to be diffused.

The point is, blonde customer should have not mumbled some sheepish thing. What she should have said is,
"Bitch, look. If you don't replace these jeans, we are going to have problems." (Grabbing of the other chick's weave, optional.)

And she would have gotten away with it. Because the customer is always right. Especially with a fistful of hair and a sneer.

Such a fast shopping experience, but so expensive, but sooooo worth it!

I found a pair of Seven jeans that fit me perfectly in 10 minutes. I NEVER find Seven jeans that fit me!

Not only that, but my boyfriend found comfortable and stylish sneakers in 15 minutes. He's been looking for sneakers for about 2 months in both Boston and Manhattan and still hadn't found the level of comfort and style that he was looking for.

Bryan Lee's store has great finds for both men and women so take your boyfriend shopping here.

One star off for the service associate who left my receipt and the portion of the receipt I was supposed to sign on the desk once she realized that I didn't want them to have the hemming done. I had to ask to sign the copy and to recieve a receipt for my $200 purchase. I'm sure that this is a pretty isolated incident but geesh, it almost took the high away from finding the PERFECT JEANS!!!!

I didn't even shop here myself but I just had to give four stars because of the service that they provided for my girlfriend.  Just moments after leaving the Blue Jean Bar or whatever it was and being treated like we weren't "worthy" to shop there, Bryan Lee was super nice and helpful to my gf.  They even asked for my opinion at one point!

I only took away one star because I didn't find anything pretty for myself.

Great shop.  Women who worked there are SOOOO cool!  They helped me pick out jeans and shirts.  Great taste, brands.  Owner seems cool too.  Would prefer a more generous return policy -- like you can actually return  something within 1 or 2 weeks instead of no returns/credit only if after 7 days post purchase -- but other than that, woohoo!

Love the brands they carry here. Such a great mix. Geren Ford, Fighting Eel, Mike & Chris, just to name a few. Labels you can't just find anywhere. And even though it's a small boutique, you still feel like there's a great selection.

My name is Laurel and I'm a jeans-a-holic.  I'm pretty loyal to one brand (I might as well have the Rock & Republic pocket R's tattooed on my butt) -- but I'm always willing to try something new with an extra-long inseam.  For some reason, I haven't struck gold at the Blue Jeans Bar across the street, but Bryan Lee always comes through for me.  And I just bought the best T-shirt there with a German supermodel from the '60s on it.  I wish my hair could look like hers.  There's a quote from her screen test that says:  "I was born with long legs and a marvelous digestive apparatus."  Perfect!

I have a great time shopping here and it's one of my regular 'marina' treats in addition to stopping by Riley James. Their sales are wicked and I have always found the staff to be really helpful in putting a crazy outfit together at a moment's notice. The owner even offered a job to me once - what a nice gesture!

I love this place.  Lots of unique things as well as a good stock of the fashion staples!  Prices are average for that area of town, but I would go back here because the staff are great!  They always make you feel good, and more importantly, will always tell you when something isnt right :-)

I've been here 10 times in the last year and only one of those times did I find something I like. I think the women's section has a lot more than the guys. Typical vertical striped shirts (boring) and seven jeans ( super boring).

I much prefer Villains Vault.

You think some of the 'door drama' around the city blows, then stay away from the staff here. They do have great men's shirts and occasionally cute women's jeans, but with all the options (in the marina alone), I would pass on this store.

Limited goods for guys, but that isn't a problem. They carry unique items that you can't necessarily find anywhere else in the city. Bryan-Lee also has a nice selection of kicks.

I drop about $200 on an average (3-4 items) each time I am there; it's a decent value considering the quality.

The staff is extremely helpful and I have been lucky to have a couple ladies proactively giving me their opinion each time. You can't put a price on a woman's honest opinion.

I am addicted.

Looks like a lot of guys have checked this place out and loved it.  A little strange since their inventory of men's items seemed limited, but I didn't actually look (my judgement is based solely on how little square footage they dedicated to men's wear).  However, despite how small the store was (it's actually not that small), they had quite a bit of selection on jeans, which was very exciting for me.  Since I didn't see their Rock and Republic rack at first, I was slightly disappointed but was still excited to see other brands.  The sales lady was VERY friendly and helpful and actually directed me to their Rock and Republic inventory.

I proceeded to grab a bunch of jeans and tried them on.  I finally found a pair of Rock and Republics I really liked.  Despite being pretty expensive, I had an AWESOME experience at Bryan Lee.  The sale person was very attentive and genuine with giving her opinion and she even ran to the back several times to check for sizes and inventory.

Superb service and selection.  I will definitely be coming back.

The first time I came here I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when she goes shopping on Gere's expense account.  Not that I felt like a princess, mind you, but men appreciate good service, too.

They were very attentive, brought me cool things to try on, and had good, honest advice about which threads to roll with.  It's never really been like my first time since, but it doesn't have to be to be a good time.

Great jeans, button down shirts and tees.  They'll also have the a few of the right accessories that make it all come together.

Their location isn't cramped, but it would be great if they had  a bit more space to show off their wares.

A men's fashion paradise.  Fantastic collections of unique but not absurdly priced outfits.  Increadibly helpful and honest staff that'll tell you straight-up if your butt doesn't look good in the pair of jeans you're trying on.  All the guys I know, who have styles ranging  from frat boy to hipster, have something in their closet from Bryan-Lee

I walked in looking for a pair of jeans, and I walked out with 2 pairs which I was really happy with--the 2nd pair was on sale.  Bryan was there (or was it Lee?) and he was super cool and helpful.  The asian girl there was also really nice and laid out some great pairs for me to try on.

He suggested a shirt too, which was really cool. I didn't take him up on it, but it was a sweet shirt and I kind of regret it.

Loved the service, loved the clothes, highly recommend.

I Like this place for its well-edited mens section. It isn't a lot of mens clothes, but what they do have is good, not too pricey. Plus they carry the full rage of sizes unlike some mens shops that only carry clothes for itty bitty men and not the the burly sorts that I favor.
