Pure indulgence!  I love Bruster's. As a native New Yorker I was only exposed to Carvel and Baskin Robbins.  Moving to Atlanta introduced me to Bruster's.  This ice cream is so good that people wait in line for a half hour just to get some.  Children and adults would agree, it's worth every calorie.

Bruster's claim to fame is being real ice cream.  Well it is so real that you can eat it as a meal rather than just dessert.  Rich, tasty, creamy and fresh, my favorite ice cream flavor at Bruster's is chocolate chip cookie dough in a monstrous waffle cone. I have yet to try a cake from Bruster's but I'm sure there just as good as the regular ice cream, if not better.  In addition to the ice cream and cakes, Bruster's has smoothies, blasts, waffle cone sundae bowls, shakes, pies and pints of ice cream to go.  Furthermore, if your health conscious Bruster's has sherbet, yogurt, and no sugar-added fat free products.

Bruster's locations are similar to a New York hot dog stand; you order at the window and take your ice cream to go.  At some locations there are benches outside the window.   The set up also kind of reminds me of a quick service ice cream truck like the ones that used to pass my house when I was younger. The state of Georgia has nearly a hundred locations.  To find the location nearest you visit http://www.brusters.com.

Tasty, original  flavors, huge scoops, pretty reasonable prices- it's definitely worth the wait.  I only wish it was loally-owned like my other favorite ice cream, Amy's.
