We eat at the smokehouse quite a bit. The barbecue, ice cream, and prices are very good. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast, but this place fills up fast for lunch, so come early. CLOSED TUESDAYS!
I pretty much live for the corn nuggets - fried cream corn! I had never had it before. Beware it's addictive. The green beans and fried okra are also great sides. I often get the ham and cheese sandwich special.
For dessert, the creamer always has tasty treats and special flavors. My standard is Thunder Road - racing's version of Rocky Road. My all-time fave is Oatmeal Cookie Dough, but you have to wait patiently for it to come around or special request it.
They also have a nice Sunday brunch buffet.
