This place is a really big bowling alley.  I came here for a company party and enjoyed the atmosphere, the lanes, etc.

We got lucky I guess and they oiled our lanes right before we bowled, haha plastic house ball DEATH (so I tried to hook a bit, but realistically the balls only go straight).

Service was attentive to us except some random 180 and ball got stuck problem, but it was resolved pretty quick.  They have ppl randomly wandering the lanes and they pushed a deadpin back without asking.

The lanes are a bit dusty, but only a bit and if swept real quick would be fine, but I was wearing house shoes so whatever.

The lanes look well maintained and there was music playing in the background, which I used to find annoying, but it was fun.

We got some pizza package and their pizza tasted pretty decent for a bowling alley.

Overall a great experience and I would come back to bowl here, if I lived closer I would join a league if I had the time.

I will say that the parking lot is really poorly lit... but otherwise a well maintained bowling alley.

I came here one night with my friends to try out their cheap all you can bowl special. The lanes are okay....but there is absolutely NO OIL when we were there. I'm used to bowling at Action Lanes in El Monte where the lanes are nicely oiled so my ball hooks the right way. And when I say NO OIL i really mean almost absolutely NO OIL!

They play cool music videos though...mostly Chris Brown and Lil Wayne haha and theres a fog machine! (it was some glow in the dark bowling)

The ball return was quite rough and would scratch or chip them a little sometimes. It also shot the balls out really fast so be careful with your hands!

This place has ALOT of lanes and does not get very packed so I would say it is a great place to come for amateur bowlers since it is cheap. But if you're more serious and you normally bowl at a well maintained alley, then you may be disappointed by this place.

Only good thing about this place are the good deals they have. Their customer service is not that great, restrooms are dirty, no cupholders at the seats. Nothing really special about this bowling alley.

I always look for good deals at any places.  I went to their bowling alleys on Wednesday night.  Their deals were very good.  $6.99 from 9pm to 12am...  I usually bowl 10 games per night...  I already love this place...  Thanks...

$1 games but the lane we got (lane 10) kept breaking down. We constantly had to call for service. On top of that, my dads ball was damaged by the machines. They wanted me to fill out some paper work for possible repair and replacement but I have yet to receive a call on the status of that. The prices might be favorable but my experience here was pretty terrible. The machines here are also kinda old. I might upgrade this rating depending on how they handle the bowling bowl situation.

Prices are still good but oh man...the people working here are something else.
i.e.  I go here quite a bit and there is a register where people line up to pay.  Well I stand there to get a lane one night and the cashier is at the next register.  All he has to do is say "I can help you down here" or something to that effect.  what does this foolio say?  "im over here"  LOL

another blah....thing is that i've seen the most gutterballs pop out and hit the 10 pin than any other bowling alley.

I'll still come because of the prices and friends who bowl here...but thumbs down.

Went here for a bday party yesterday which was pretty cool mainly because all the effort my cousin added. I just feel a little upset that they DO NOT sell beer by the pitcher!!!??? WTF!! ?? In order to get " Yo drank on" you'll need to go individually with photo I.d.  to purchase your overpriced beer. In all honestly the kids had a good time and enjoyed the
bowling, so I can't complain too much.

In this day and age when bowling is being pushed as a hip activity by overpriced poser chains like Lucky Strike, we need to more than ever patronize our old mainstay local estabs. West Cov lanes is one of those no-nonsense old school places that refuses to polish its rough edges to reflect the vain images of the douche-bags it would soon regret attracting.

My incentive for patronizing this place way out in West Pilipino-town is price. Why pay $5+ per game in the valley or west side when most nights after nine West Cov lanes charges $1! Sunday mornings are another great special.

The drawbacks are inconsistent scoring; lanes which aren't very well greased; and some rowdy and annoying inland empire-type patrons. All said, these aspects also give WCL character and charm that are increasingly rare.

i love coming to this bowling alley!!  its my favorite one.  I especially like coming here monday and tuesday nights because its 99cents a game.

A couple things i dont like about this place is that sometimes the lanes are messed up and the pins will reset out of no where or sometimes the score wont record on the computer.  Ive experienced this on lanes 16, 26 and 54.  Also,  the blower doesnt work on lane 51 and 52.

So, I've been bowling at this house since I was 12 or so.  I've always liked it here because I've met a lot of friends throughout the years and spent a lot of time with my cousin and my parents bowling.
The only rant I have is about management....it's been terrible the past year.  If your lanes break down, the GM doesn't really care.  He just waddles back into his office and brushes people off.

    equipment there are dated.

the lane keep counting the pins incorrectly, friends and I had hard time tracking our points (less than 100 pts)

great price, i saw lots of parties going on there and all the customers are happy and enjoying the day.

A week after going on a bowling trip with my students, hubby and I were invited to go bowling again. While I was stoked, hubby was so-so.

We get here on a Saturday night and there is a very nice mix of people here giving me a good feeling because that means I won't stick out like a sore thumb. ;) Anyhow, we had a group of 13 and the best deal for us was to get two Family Specials. It came out  to something ridiculously cheap for two games through this special.

The bartender was nice, and it wasn't because he was serving me alcohol. ;) The drinks weren't that expensive either. I'd definitely go back here if I can convince hubby.

I love bowling and this is a great spot and it has so much history! In the early 50's this was the place to go to enjoy time with friends and family. I took my family there on Sunday night for the $1 deals. They just loved it and b/c my husband decided to put a ten in the machine we have leftover coins for the games and machines, so GOOD NEWS it looks like we will be going back for some late night bowling and fun times. I Love it!

Love this place! I may suck at bowling really bad but for $1 a game and $2 for shoe rental, I just don't care!

I've been coming here VERY often this summer and every time I go, it's completely packed and for a good reason. Every Monday and Tuesday nights from 9PM to closing (usually around 12 or 1), every game is only $1 a person! LOVE IT! Plus if you're a little hungry, hot dogs and soda is also only 1 buck!

The facility is pretty well kept and the environment is exhilarating! Great music, with the occasion WTF is this, but nonetheless it's a great place to hang out on a weekday when you have nothing else to do.

WOOOOOO! Can't wait to go back, maybe you'll even see me there!

WestCo Brunswick is pretty much everything I can ask for in a bowling alley when it comes to bowling. The facility is very clean, the lanes are moderately spaced so you don't find yourself running into the party next to you, and the bowling balls and lanes are in well-kept condition.

But facilities aside, the deals at odd hours of the day are the reason I love this place. When enjoying my unemployment last year, I found myself coming here on Tuesdays to enjoy their 1hr. of bowling for $3. I think I was able to cram in 7 games in one hour. Seriously - 7 games in one hour for $3! Great deal, no?!

I also find myself liking the random variety of music they play when you're bowling - ranging from Savage Garden to Korn to Blink 182 to Michael Jackson - always random, but enjoyable. The random graphics they have illustrating and mocking your performance is also something to crack a smile on.

Overall, I really like this facility. Yes, it's a bit further than I'd prefer to drive for bowling, but I keep coming back because it's clean, it's professional, and I always have a great time when I bowl here. 4 stars for being awesome! :D

Place might be older, but there's an assortment of people, just looking for a cheap bowling experience & a few cold ones. Their cosmic bowling is really impressive! Its not an Asian teenage meat market, for hook ups, like Round 1 bowling. I walked away w that vibe after visiting, Round 1, so I'm sharing my experience. I like this place for its ability to draw in a multicultural crowd of different ages, those just wanting to bowl. Be careful of league nights, hard to get a lane on those days. You have been warned! Lol

Before you read this, please note that I'm not a bowler. I'm not a bowling enthusiast, and as far as I'm concerned, bowling is a hobby, not a sport. (Seriously, if you can order food and sit down for 90% of the game, then it really isn't a sport. You get just as much exercise playing some hardcore Super Smash Brothers, but I'll just save this rant for another day...)

    ANYWAY, back to the review!
for a casual bowler... no, wait. For ANYBODY who wants to bowl, this place really caters to you! I might still be high off the adrenaline of my last visit (dude, I bowled almost a 200!)* and I just might love this place because they seem to fill the week with daily specials that actually make bowling pretty affordable. Jason H already listed the prices, so I won't bother, but STILL! $1 for a round of bowling is pretty sweet- bowler or not! So far, this place gets an A+ for pricing.
It's also the biggest bowling alley I've ever seen. I've only been to like, 3 alleys, though, so I don't know if 50 lanes is really that big (but it looked pretty huge. Even when the whole place was full, we only had to wait about 20 minutes to get a lane. That's pretty convenient. Now we're giving it an A for convenience....

Here's the hard part. I mean, I don't expect bowling alleys to be extremely opulent, but this place looks like it hasn't been redecorated since the early 90's. The lane I was using broke down twice while I was playing, and the video arcade is lacking in the Street Fighter department. I mean, compared with the pricing, convenience, and overall fun, these are kinda minor qualms- especially from somebody with admittedly very little experience with this sort of thing, but still. It could be prettier.
Anyway, go have fun if you wanna bowl for a dollar!

    *no, I lied, I bowled 150-something

Over priced bowling..as much as $8.99 per game!
Although they have some $1 specials during a week night, you have to pay almost $4 to rent shoes.
It is next to impossible to get information at the counter and over the phone.
Only one person can answer league questions, but the employees don't know her work schedule, they suggest you come in often to look for her. If you call, they will tell you to come in to ask questions because they don't have the answers.
The website has no price information whatsoever.
I experienced this lack of information about 8 years ago, but tried again today and same exact lack of information.

I've been coming to this location for a few years now, used to be a regular every Monday for $0.99 bowling.  I try to go a few times a month I just feel so comfortable here.  The service staff, *music*, and people are way friendlier and enjoyable rather than at Covina Brunswick (I also hate their new technology animated screen, keep it old school, yo).  A key point to announce is that when its closing time and you still got games to play they let you play till YOU'RE done.  Dope, in my book!

A perfect place to visit if your just a weekend bowler like myself! I often go on sundays after church when it's $.99 a game! Yup that's right..$.99!!! This is great time to practice..at times you have to wait for a lane, but that comes with the territory when you think of the price. Unless you just wanna be seen and be in a club atmosphere and pay for over priced service and drinks at places like LUCKY STRIKE! Suggestion..come here early, get your name in the list, visit the bar and get a bucket of MGD's for $12, then the wait wouldn't seem so long!

Main reason this place gets a 5 is the prices. I mean how can you beat $1 bowling? This place is also a bit nostalgic for me since I bought my first bowling ball at the pro shop here. And yet, for being such a great bargain the place is actually not that bad. It's big, with tons of lanes and although the machines are old they work fine almost all of the time. The customer base is varied and diversified, with a good mix senior citizens, families, and young people. Unquestionably, my #1 place for bowling.
