They have specials all the time and the place is clean. The bar has a wide selection and it is affordable. There are pool tables in the bar area and more by the lanes. Get there early on the weekends because it can get busy.

Review from Ry S.
So I was brought here via a Groupon, and was looking to cash it in on one of the last days. The place has a 4 star average so we figured it was worth a shot.
Location: The place has it's own little private street, and although it is a bit dark, there is plenty of parking, and surveillance camera outside that flash to let you know that they are there.
Facility: Not too bad. You can tell it was remodeled probably within a year or two. I went to use the restroom, and one of the sinks didn't have running water. Despite turning the nob, nothing came out. Good thing the other one was working.
Staff: First went up to the main counter where I talked to a guy named "JAMES." Seemed nice enough, told us that it was going to be a 10 minute wait for the next lane. Decided to go and grab a bite to eat while we wait. The lady behind the counter TRACI was in some personal conversation with some guy. After standing in front of the area that says "Order Here" for 5 minutes, we stood behind the guy she was talking to in an attempt to get her attention. She didn't even look our way. ASHLEY came over and ended up taking my order, I wasn't sure what was up with that TRACI chick. We almost just walked away and not bought anything.
Food: I paid $6.50 for the wings, and got maybe 7 pieces of lil wings. A very sorry quantity for the price. Taste-wise, they were "meh."
Bowling: Most of the balls were dented and messed up, but that didn't really matter to me, it's not like I am some hot-shot bowler. Still had a fun time, and the lanes looked like they were well kept.
I heard that there were better places to go to, so I might check those out before I come back here again. -

This bowling alley is like the lifeline for Chula Vista teens.
It's the one late night adventure that is open besides the movies. Every time I visit Brunswick, I remember my younger days spending late nights playing Cosmic Bowling. Not much has changed, except for one excellent feature. I am older, and now I can do the same thing, but be legally drunk doing it!!
I feel bad when the employees catch me on a whiskey induced rage, and run up and knock all the pins down with my fists. -

I like going to play pool here but it's a little pricey... and the other night that we tried to go bowling, the wait for a lane was about an hour and a half at 10pm... so we decided to go to parkway instead. But if you want a nice and decent place, this is it =)
They have cosmic bowling and a bar as well. -

I've only gone here once, and bowled for about an hour at the most, so I can't exactly give a thorough review quite yet.
I am a terrrrible bowler, but when I came here... I was still terrible... but there was something about the lanes that made my ball go a little closer to where I wanted it to go. Or perhaps I'm getting better! Nahh...
I'm used to bowling at the Mira Mesa Lanes, so when I came here, I loved how each lane had their own table. However, the swivel chairs were a little annoying.
The house balls are all organized by weight, so it's not as difficult to find the right ball.
I came here on a Sunday, so we paid $2.50/person per game. We brought our own bowling shoes, which saved us some money. -

I don't bowl anymore...I use to, but bowling on an everyday basis is past me.
I came to Brunswick Premier Lanes when it first opened up. I saw the very first "300" game bowled in this house. I remember all of my friends that use to bowl "Town and Country Lanes" that transferred the Premier Lanes because we wanted a new house to bowl in (the old house was in bad condition and my $150 Bowling Balls kept getting nicked up over there) ...Brunswick Premier Lanes was a sigh of relief for a lot of us bowlers and we made it our house back in the day.
Our team Dominated everyone we faced. We would buy pitcher after pitcher of beer because WE COULD and we got better with every pitcher cause that's how we rolled. We even bought a pitcher of beer for the opposing team just to show our friendship and sportsmanship to every league we played in.
But I stopped bowling because it became too much of a job and the fun factor was slowly fading away. To me and everyone on our team, it was about Dominance. We would give away easily 100 pins a game but we didn't care...it was an ego thing to prove we could overcome any obstacle and we did it week in and week out (I loved bowling against sandbaggers cause we would step it up a notch and 2 of us on the team would bowl a 230-250 scratch game...can you imagine how heartbreaking that is towards a team)
But I also stopped because I was becoming a jerk and I'm a people person...that and listening to Jim Rome talking about bowlers and the perception of bowling. "Bowlers get better when they drink more beer...the Perception you see of bowler is an overweight man/woman with a wrist thingy, smoking a cigarette" and I wanted to get away from that perception.
Anyways...the time frame is NOW and I want to talk about Brunswick. This place is the best bowling alley in south San Diego...period. I usually come here as a spectator and I'll drink a pitcher or two with friends just to hang out. The people that work here are extremely friendly, the place is well kept (clean) and there's a family atmosphere the minute you walk right in.
The food is fairly priced and the Pitchers of Beer are cheap (depending on what beer you buy)
I'm out of bowling shape (my timing) but I can still read the lanes pretty good. I was with a couple of friends last week and I rolled a 247 game, but unfortunately rolled a couple of 180's afterwards. I had a lot of fun bowling here but I think a lot of people were more impressed with my bowling shoes (they had skulls and crossbones)
I know this is a little long and I'm sorry for it, but I use to be really passionate with bowling back in the day...will I come back? I might, and then again, I might not, but if I did...it would be here in Brunswick Premier Lanes in Chula Vista. -

This bowling alley has been here for as long as I can remember. Bowling is fun but this place can be expensive. They have pretty good deals though so that's when we try to go. I love bowling. It's a great passtime that will always leave good memories. Don't know when we'll be back, but for sure will. =)

Triple XXX- its not what you think, we call it a Turkey
Girls get to play with balls, different kinds.
Guys can use two fingers or even three.
Be careful, it can get a little slick.
If you're a beginner, your ball will probably end up where your mind is at right now, in the GUTTER!!(get it out of there, this is a family spot!!)
If you're bored and don't know what to do, come to Brunswick!!
It's right up your ALLEY!!
GOOD:
- Nice, clean lanes for the fams to enjoy
- Arcade area for the little ones (yes, even the older ones can play too)
- Bar area for the adults (sorry, no kiddies allowed)
- Food bar (nachos, pizza, various snack items)
- Friendly staff
BAD:
- Came here on a Monday night, apparently they have leagues going on (open lanes available after 830pm)
- No automatic bumpers for the little kids (had a worker come over and raise them for us)
UGLY:
- the bathroom stalls (little nephew had to go #2 and each stall he went to all I hear him saying is, "YUCK!")
- the bathroom stall doors (nephew couldn't open the door, he almost crawled under just to get out)
- "for a good time, call 659-5246" (no I'm not going to call that!!...the toilets aren't the only thing they need to clean!!)
So come to Brunswick if you want to bowl in a league, bowl for fun, get your drink on, or just want to play with balls!! (bowling balls that is)Listed in: Let's Have some fun!!

I would say this place is between 3.5-4 mainly because it's pricey for bowling, but what can you expect with inflation right? The foods decent, bowling is always fun, and they got a bar :)
Just recently went and got a holiday party for my daughter's bday. It was fun! The downfall was we asked if we could stay by the lanes while we did the cake, they said it was ok but gave the lanes to some grouchy old people who proceeded to wipe up the area and tell us they had the two lanes and couldn't even wait. How fricken rude!
Overall, it's a decent place for an outing and does have specials on certain days so look out for that! -

What I like:
I can always get a lane quick and it's cheap.
They sell pitchers of beer (I hate beer) but my friends and husband do.
I like how it's dark (cosmic bowl)
I can always find the ball that I want
What I hate:
The price is according to how many games you want unlike other places where you can just pay for the hour.
Sometimes there are stupid youngins and stupid little girls who are annoying. -

A great place to bowl and not have to deal with alot of crowds. They do cosmic bowling after 9pm. Just dont buy food there. The lady behind the counter does not know the term customer service. I wanted to have my flat soda replaced for a different soda and she had to call the manager as this is not their practice to take the customers word and do what ever it takes to make the customer happy. It was like pulling teeth to get my flat soda replaced with one with better carbonation.

Bowling? I haven't bowled here in years! Karaoke, however, is a different story.
Sunday nights are hosted by Rick (in the bar fro 7-11 pm) and his HUGE selection of songs. The bar is tended by Ali (best bartender) who is friendly, funny and fast! Don't wanna karaoke? 2 pool tables are there for the sharks.
Rick is super nice and always encouraging for new folks to sing. The crowd varies from the regulars (Dino, Abe) to a few newbies, both young and old and always cordial. It can be intimidating singing after Dino (who does a phenomenal Elvis Presley/Johnny Cash impression); but Rick wants people to enjoy themselves so it's highly encouraged. -

I'll keep in nice and simple...

Its fun for all ages...I love this place =) -

All I have are great times for this establishment. Perhaps the only bowling alley in the San Diego County that been the youngest on the block. It still holds up value for those in the South Bay.
My best times here are during Cosmic Bowling nights. If I recall Fridays are hip-hop nite and Saturdays are rock-n-roll nite. These two different nites generate different crowds so I would say pass on Fridays for the crazies out there!
I remember back in the day (when VHS was the shitniz) we were carpooling with my posse. On the way there my friend Red's bro, Arthur, had to go #1 really, really bad. We told Art, STFU and hold it in like anyone else.
We were still on Hst passing the 805 overpass which becomes E Hst. This is not even 3 or 4 miles tops, to get to the bowling joint. Art starts getting all red in his face, sweating, grabbing his little one and starts crying. All of us were laughing our heads off...
By the time we made the last left turn at the light, right after passing Chili's and that little corner (where the alley meets the bowling alley) Art starts pissing away like a freaken 4 year old!
We pulled over, ran out of the car only to see him running out pissing out in the open. Man I must of been 19 when I think about it, but that moment still reminds every time I ever go to bowling alley. Good times.
PS If anyone knows Justin "Red" M., his bro Arthur M. or even his wife Veronica Rodriguez from Hilltop High School let me know. It would be great hearing from you!
The fat: Great your game and fade on here in the dark-light!
The skinny: Plenty of restrooms inside. -

I came here for karaoke in August, not the bowling. I believe it was a Thursday night (for a friend's going away party), not a Sunday night. I'll have to come down on Sundays to check it out.
The song selection is fantastic. Has the most Kate Bush I've seen anywhere. The KJ was a really approachable and friendly guy. I'm only giving this a three-star rating until I come back here two or three more times for more karaoke. -

One survivor of a dying breed
This is one of the few remaining bowling allies in San Diego County. In recent years, bowling has declined in popularity and it is increasingly becoming cost prohibitive to maintain existing facilities; thus, most of the alleys have shuttered their doors. East Village Tavern & Bowl in downtown San Diego is the only alley to open for many years.
I bowled at Brunswick as a child in the early '90s when it was brand new and bowled there with friends in high school regularly through the end of the decade. At that time, Brunswick had special summer offers for students for one free game of bowling per day; it certainly made for a good way to spend the summer. We also tried midnight bowling several times with the black lights, florescent pins, and glowing bowling balls.
About five or six years ago, the alley underwent a major renovation to modernize the facility and bring the interior design into a more aesthetically-pleasing, 21st-century design. I have not been to the alley in a few years, but always enjoyed myself. It is a clean facility with many lanes that is good for all ages. -

The last time I went bowling was like six years ago at MCRD, and I thought I had a fun time then. This past weekend I went to Brunswick for the Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon, and it was an even better time. The sight of about fifty 20-somethings trying to bowl while getting a buzz from $9.95 pitchers of beer, just made for a great time. This place was a lot cleaner than what I expected. They have a mini arcade, a food place to get your bowling eats, cosmic bowling, and a little bar. After bowling we hit up the bar for a few. We threw some cash in the juke box and played pool to the sweet sound of Justin Timberlake. Okay maybe that's not a good thing for some of you but the juke box had a gazillion songs to choose from. It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Typical bowling alley, but there's not much of a choice in Chula Vista so this one will have to do.

Cookie cutter post modern cheap looking bowling alley. Got's a bar, snack stand, video games, ball lockers and all the other crap you would expect. It smells slightly odd. All bowling alleys smell slightly (at least) odd.

This review goes WAY WAY BACK. We used to go here back in high school almost every Friday night after football games. GOOD FREAKING times for sure. Cosmic bowling back then was the shit. you could roll up to the DJ and request some of the jams and pay one freaking price to bowl all damn night. As broke ass high school students nothing was better than that. Black lights, glow in the dark ball (easy perv's bowling balls) and cool ass people, nothing beats it. Now that I'm not in high school anymore its even better because you can DRINK!

Clean and Friendly Service. Not too common at a bowling alley haha. Seems to have been re-modeled recently and it's quite a nice bowling alley. The lanes are generally medium to heavy oil which is challenging, but makes for competitive bowling. I usually roll 170-180 average, but here was rolling around 150 games, so I'd say this is a player's alley. They do disco bowling on Friday and Saturday nights and always seem to have good specials going on like $14 a person unlimited bowling for 2.5 hours or $1.50 games certain times/days of the week. I definitely recommend this location if you like to bowl.
