Pizza there is always good!  Love getting it with every veggie on it.  Their Sicilian pizza is one of the best I've had in the area.

Went there for a sit down dinner a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it as well. Entree portions are huge, expect to take at least half home or split with a friend.  Had the eggplant parmesan, I was served basically the whole eggplant! Meal was good though.  Moderately priced but like I said the portions are huge so you'll get a few meals out of the leftovers.

Servers are always nice, the owner is typically there and will come over and talk to your party and ensure your satisfaction with the meal.  Great place for friends or a nice evening out. BYO, and they have their own liquor store next door (super convenient!!!)

The ONLY reason they get any stars is for their Sicilian. We were looking for a good pizza in the area, and that definitely is a great (if expensive) pizza.

However, I ate at the restaurant on Saturday night. The stars earned by the pizza are negated by the "Italian" food. Bland, frozen, and over cooked are the first 3 words that come to mind. I have never had a worse meal out, worse pasta, or a worse $18 entree. My friends fared no better-- $29 for overcooked tortellini in a cornstarch sauce with 4 (not even jumbo) shrimp?

The food wasn't even worth complaining about, because I definitely didn't want a replacement meal. We won't EVER eat there again, Sicilian pizza or not.

Our server was cute and nice, though.

I've been a regular patron of Bruno's since I moved to the area for grad school a few years ago, so it's only fitting that it would be my first review. Best pizza in this part of South Jersey! If you're in the neighborhood def try the sicilian tomato pie or sicilian margharita pie, you will not be sorry you did! Their plain pizza is very good also and has won them quite a few awards in the South Jersey area. Best part is all of the above pies come by the slice, so you don't have to go home like a fatty with a whole box. Don't worry, I wouldn't judge you if you did though

Just a little over a mile off of I-295, I decided to try it out this neighborhood place. I have to say it is hands down best pizza in I have had in Southern NJ. I heard so much about their Sicilian pizza but I did not have time to have one made up. Next time I am in the area I will try it.

We had the chicken and regular cheesesteaks (make sure you get it with the sauce), and other pastas. The food overall is decent but they really shine with their pizzas.

"Hi I'm your waitress. Our menu consists of pizza and dinners. On our menu our appetizers are around $12 a piece and our entrees are around $20 a piece."

Yeah? So? Why you telling me this?

"We do have specials tonight as well! Our specials include appetizers that are $23 a piece and our entrees are between $35 and $49."

This happened recently at Bruno's. They have a menu with reasonable prices and then they have specials which make you think you've been transported to a gourmet steakhouse.

Aside from that craziness, the food was good. The entrees we had were priced reasonably, came with a lot of food (I took half home, doesn't happen often) and were pretty good.

However the real shining star here was the pizza. This was the closest pizza to a certain Ocean City Boardwalk staple we've ever had. Crispy, cheesy, delicious. I would go out of my way for this pizza. However, I only have to travel about a mile for it. I'll take it!

When I moved to New Jersey, everyone raved about Bruno's. I was told by numerous people that they had the best pizza around. It was pretty good but I'm not sure it knocks Cacia's off the top spot for Sicilian style pizza.

Unfortunately, the other piece of advice I received about Bruno's was also true. I was told not to stray from the pizza on the menu. I did. I shouldn't have.

This is a great neighborhood Italian restaurant. Its so neighborhood that you have to know its there to find it. I've driven past it a couple of times and a few neighbors said it had good mussels so here it was Friday night and it seemed like the time.

I think every one in the neighborhood had the same idea. We got there at 6 and by 6:15 people were waiting in line. The first thing that strikes you when you look at the menu is that the prices seem a bit high. Since we were looking for mussels the $15 mussel appetizer seemed a bit steep. Other items ranged between $15 and $25. What the heck, give it a shot its still not as expensive as Le Bec Fin!

Well when our orders came out I figured out the cost thing.... Bruno's has not discovered the world of "small eats". Of the 3 things we ordered any one of them would have been sufficient for at least 2 people if not more. To top it all off. The meals were done perfectly!

We started off with a special salad of mozzarella, tomatoes, capers and olives in a balsamic dressing. Tasty and voluminous. My companion ordered the Mussel appetizer in a white sauce. A mountain of about 2 quarts plus of perfectly cooked mussels in a garlicky sauce. Delish.
My main was the scungili calamari Fra Diavolo. Again the seafood was perfectly prepared, tender, not rubbery over a very nice fettuccine.

We went home with a number of meals to be prepared from the leftovers.

The decor is nice... not shabby not real fancy and the service is amazingly efficient. As I said this was Friday night and they were packed but the service came off with out a hitch.

The noise level was a bit high but hey, this is an Italian restaurant...
This also is BYOB but since Bruno owns a package store that has a nice selections of wine right next door no problem.

Next time I might try the pizza. They looked pretty massive for two but what the heck, a week of pizza for breakfast ain't that bad.

We expected a good pizza joint and found an excellent and lovely Italian restaurant... with great pizza, too.  Traditional and creatively prepared Italian entrees and some of the best pizza I've ever had.  Attentive and skilled servers -- very old-school (even the young ones) -- saw to every detail.  Our House Special pizza (sausage with delectable fennel, mushrooms, onions, roasted red peppers, and pepperoni) at 16" was shared by two with lots to take home for another lucky day.  Special requests were graciously accommodated.  Saved just enough room for dessert (strongly recommend you do this) and were rewarded with an excellent chocolate/peanut butter bomb/cake -- lovely and delectable.  Also took home a slice of the dense and rich-looking chocolate cake. (Haven't tried that yet.)  Many other attractive and tempting offerings were hard to leave behind for another visit.

A little challenging to find (for us city folk) as our GPS had no "Hopkins Rd" just "Hopkins Ave" which is not the same at all.  It's actually off King's Hwy, on the far side of town, past the Haddonfield PATCO station by a few blocks, then down a mile on the right (closer to Cuthbert than King's Hwy).  It's the only business we saw in an otherwise residential area.

It's popular for early dinner, especially, but they take reservations.  We arrived at 9:30 (last seating is 10, last take-out is 11 on weekends) and were one of three occupied tables.  We were the last ones dining, but never rushed.

Convenient liquor store next door (same owner) to pick up a great wine (a nice Chianti) for their BYO restaurant.

Completely satisfied our serious pizza craving!

You know how every town has an Italian restaurant that consistently churns out awesome food and is your go-to staple?  That's Bruno's.  There are three main parts to this establishment; a BYO restaurant where you can have a nice dinner, a take-out type section where you can also enjoy a quick slice and a liquor store.

Take-out is probably my favorite option.  You can call ahead to place your order, run into the liquor store to grab the perfect bottle of red or white, then pick up your dinner.  Dinners come with a roll and a pretty large side salad, and the entrees are huge (without compromising on quality) and delicious.  I highly recommend the pasta with clams and red sauce.  The red sauce is homemade with plum tomatoes and fresh garlic.  Soooooo good!

To insiders Bruno's is the talk of the town for their tomato pies. Since they aren't on the Haddon ave strip, it's obvious that if you're there it's because someone told you about it.

I've been to Bruno's three times and each time I left feeling different. My first trip was after dance lessons and I was ready to try their famous tomato pie. My first thought was that Bruno's has the perfect marketing scheme: it's a byob with a liquor store attached. If men were that simple and easy I'd be a married woman.

So my hot date and I order our tomato pie. I admit it was the first I ever had because the thought of nothing but tomato just did NOT sound tasty but it was! We loved it. The pie gave me insane heartburn but still, 5 gold stars.

My next visit stunk and here is why: The service was horrible and the food was mediocre. It was a super busy friday and we had a 35-45 minute wait. The waiting did not bother me one bit but what did bug me was the host who let a couple he knew cut in front of us. They had no reservations and only waited 2 minutes before getting primo seating. When we did get a seat, it was next to a neon sign that was making me sweat and hurt my eyes the entire time. No seating ever opened or else I would have moved.

My final and last visit to date was with reservations (yay!) and we had very nice seats. We ordered a pizza and it was not amazing but also not bad.

Since my visits were wishy-washy I've taken a break from Bruno's and when I'm craving a tomato pie I'll be back.

I live very close to Bruno's, so have enjoyed many a Sicilian pie from here. The takeout is great and Bruno's mustache magnificent, but I was a little disappointed by my experience in the dining room. The pasta primavera was okay but not amazing and the prices are very high. The portions are huge and they charge you a plate-sharing charge. I don't want that much pasta! I don't like leftovers. I want to enjoy a normal portion then leave but that is impossible here. The service was good, however. It is BYOB and there is a liquor shop located conveniently next door. The owner of this shop is the sweetest man and they have a great wine selection, including some organic wines. The beer selection isn't as exciting, but you will likely be able to find something adequate. Parking is a little hairy, especially on the weekends.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Sat me at a table in the dining room with a ratty paper placemat and threw down some silverware and a paper napkin. The table seated next to me was given linen tablecloth, cloth napkins and a really nice table setup. Decided that being the only table in the room without a tablecloth felt like my business wasn't valued so left and ordered takeout . Called the manager when I got home to discuss the situation and was given a hundred excuses and told I was supposed to ask for a tablecloth if I wanted to be treated like the other five tables in the dining room. Manager didn't even have decency to apologize. I'll never go here ever again hope this place closes down.

So I read THE only other review on this place and based on that and the fact that I am always in search of great pizza we decided to forgo the usual Thursday nite pizza delivery and venture out and try something new. Fortunately one of my guests was familair with Brunos and said their cold tomato sicilian pie was what we needed to try and try we did. We ordered three pies ( I told you I had guests!) a white, a reg and the aforementioned tomato pie. When we went to pick up Bruno was there and since the pies came out of the oven steaming hot he ripped bigger holes in the side of the box to let the steam escape to prevent the crust from getting soggy! From that ensued a conversation on how to properly do take-out fries and the art of preventing sogginess. This guy knew what I was talking about and had perfected the art of take-out. I really don't like to rate a place so strongly on one visit, but I think this place is "it". All of the pizzas were excellent. The tomato pie was amazing and did I mention the order of hot long hots we ordered? They were nice and hot and we piled them on the tomato pie and they were excellent.

I think we found a winner. If anything changes I will let you know.

I grew up down the street and have watched them expand from a small pizzeria to a successful and delicious pizzeria/restaurant.  This is a true success story.  I will continue to go here for the amazing food and friendly atmosphere.

I don't get it guys.  The pizza here was sub-par, even for the area.  Frustratingly bland.

I'm still getting used to South Jersey's strange definition of pizza.  I have had obnoxiously thick crusts, over-cooked and under-cooked tasteless cheese, and full on marinara for sauce. Born and raised in North Jersey, I became very accustomed to what pizza is there and I'm not trying to be an elitist.  Not every pizza place is Lombardi's or DeLorenzo's.  And thats ok.  But they could still be good!

I called up after reading all of your glowing reviews, and asked for a tomato pie.  There might have been some confusion, because I ordered a Tomato Pie, and wound up getting just a regular pizza.

The cheese was way too salty and overcooked.  The sauce tasted weird.  The crust was a little sweet, which is good, but decent crust alone does not make a pizza.  Grease rolled right off every slice.

I have had better pizza in a bowling alley.

I want to go back.  The people here are nice, and from your reviews the portions are large.  But I don't know if there is any value to large poritions that don't taste good.

I've always heard the buzz about Bruno's so decided to check it out finally.  Had pasta fagioli, great on a cold night, the salad was comically big and the caesar dressing was clearly homemade and just right.  The gold star has to go to the broccoli rabe, I almost always order broccoli rabe at Italian places and this was possibly the best I've had.  I just cant wait to go back!
