Excellent food. Poor service.

Another Little Rock "tradition." Familia owned and operated, it has a local restaurant feel. The food (in my opinion) is MUCH better than at The Villa, not too far away, but that's not saying much, and it still seems to lack any real memorable quality that males me think of going here when someone mentions Italian food.
However, if you're in the mood for Italian on the West Side, try and see for yourself. Certainly try it before you head for Macaroni Grill.1 Previous Review: Show all »

So my family met here because my sister saw their menu online and thought it sounded good. Turns out, the food was delicious (we all ended up eating off each others plates; normal with this side of the family). I had the Chicken Parmasean (or however they spell it) and it was awesome. I cant remember what everybody else had, but what I tried was very good!
Once we got a chance to look at the menu, we had found out that their online menu was not correct on their pricing. A house chianti priced online was $3.50 and in the restaurant was $6.00. Made us wonder about the food, which was rather reasonably priced but still more than we were expecting from looking at the online menu.
It a bit bigger than I remember it being on the inside but is still kinda small to what I'm use to. When you walk in there is a wall to divide up the room so you cant see all the seating. If you walk around the wall (where the seating is, there is the bar so you can get a drink while you wait. We waited about 20 min for a 5-top at 6:30, not too shabby. -

Most wonderful, soft bread I've perhaps ever had. Great pizza. Pedestrian salad. Good scallops.

Homemade noodles (spaghetti) that are some of the best I've ever had. Toasted (well, fried) raviolis are a great appetizer too. Sauce, good, wow - food is good overall. Service isn't always so great, there's not sufficient waiting room up front, and it's always frustrating to have a long waitlist here.

According to my parents, I threw such a torrential fit at Bruno's back in 1982 that they could never show their face here again.
Well the prodigal son finally returned... at least I think he did. I'm not completely clear if this is the original location; I think not.
Basically this place is nicer than Olive Garden but that's about it. They've got the low-light ambiance. I felt slightly underdressed in my khakis and black hoody. But it wasn't inappropriate, just on the low end of the scale of acceptability. I would say the norm here is a tucked in shirt and nice pants, but you can get away with less.
Service was great and the menu looked decent. I ordered a pasta dish with sausages. It was tasty. My friend ordered something and he was satisfied (I was paying, so how could he not be?)
Not bad, not spectacular.
Certainly worth take a shot on if you can't come up with someplace to go. (I have been known to be wrong every once in a while.) -

This restaurant is disgusting. When we had our family there, the staff was rude to us, and there were ROACHES crawling on the dining room walls. disgusting. You couldn't pay me money to eat here again. Bad food, bad service, dirty place.

I love their Around the World pizza. It's the best in town. Bruno's isn't the first place people think of when they think of pizza but it should be!

Our favorite italian place in LR. The sausage and peppers over angel hair is the real deal.

Bruno's has excellent pizza and bread. It's a great place, with great food and waitstaff.

By far the best, most authentic pizza in town. Not the best overall Italian, but the pizza makes the place. The bread, which is given all night, is addictive. The staff will constantly bring water, which is great because it's a sodium fest. You'll laugh at how the glass is constantly overflowing with ice, meaning after three sips you need a refill, but it's never far behind. If you are in the mood for something other than pizza, go for the down home favorites like lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs. The portion sizes are healthy, and the wait tends to not be an issue. It's a family favorite for us - almost every Friday night.

I've eaten at Bruno's several times. The menu looks delicious, but the plates always come out a little sloppy. Simple things like pasta come out quite watery because (presumably) the pasta was not well drained. It's a very casual Italian restaurant that really has potential. It just seems to fall short on execution.

On a whim, went to Bruno's for the first time last night. The previous reviewer was right that the staff is amazing. The food is incredible. The pizza was indeed the best I've had and the toasted ravioli is not to be missed! I swear I could have just flat out drank the sauce! Try this place and you won't be sorry.
