Every time we visit Carson City, we make sure to get a pizza here. I love the crazy pizza toppings they offer! Food should be fun and be an adventure. It should also taste really good, and these pizzas do. My only minor quibble is that even when ordering ahead, there's usually a wait for the pizza at the restaurant, even when we show up after the time given by the employee. But the pizza is worth waiting for, so it doesn't bother me too much!

There is no better pizza in or out of town. These folks turn out the tastiest, freshest pizzas I've ever had. Take and bake is great too. I love the patio seating on warm days or cool evenings. Nice wine selection and very cozy inside seating too.
I always go with friends and we have the best time there. It's got to be the PIZZA that makes us so happy! -

One of the better places to get pizza in Carson. I actually just ordered the Chicken Garlic pizza the other night, which was super good. Although I did get massive heartburn later that night, and had crazy garlic breath. But the pizza was very good, and could tell they use freshly made dough. It's been quite awhile since I've actually ate here before that, but I'll definitely be back again. A little pricey though, but big portions.

Stopped in after work yesterday for a little wine and pizza. Pizza's still amazing, service was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. No complaints. I pretty much zeroed in on a wine I recognized and liked off the wine list.
You do get real, grated Parmesan cheese when you ask for cheese, and not the powdery, dry, Kraft sawdust in tiny foil packets you get at other pizza joints.1 Previous Review: Show all »

If there was a place like this near my house, I'd be in big trouble. The pizza is aaaaaamazing! Perfectly cooked and they have an incredible selection. On Tuesdays they have 1/2 off beer. $2.25 for microbrews!? WOW!

This place has very tasty pizza. I know the difference between pizza that has had some though put into it and pizza that is various ingredients thrown on top of dough and baked.
This is pizza that has had some thought put into it.
I've had both the spicy italian and the combo and they were both awesome. The beer on tap is ice cold too which somehow makes the pizza taste dreamy.
If you have some extra cash (Brugo's is pricey) laying around get a pie and beer, you shouldn't be disappointed! -

I tried to order pizza one time and this man told me I would have to sit down before ordering because "we're a restaurant." (??!?)
The pizza is pretty good but expensive. The tables are annoying to look at, and the atmosphere is overall weird. Oh well. -

Brugo's is awesome. Today, my husband, our friend, and I went to this quirky pizza place to get out of the wind while our car was getting a tire fixed across the street. We were immediately greeted and seated. They have a very extensive selection of pizzas to choose from and a story behind each one. After much debating and drooling, we decided on their special pizza "the franktown". It had a crispy, cornmeal dusted crust, white sauce, garlic, white chicken, basil, bacon, mozzarella, gorgonzola, and sun-dried tomatoes. It was phenomenal. We bought a medium size, and because of how rich and delicious it is, the three of us were all sated. Our waiter, Tristan, put up with us and put up with us well. He answered all of our silly questions, refilled our water even 10 minutes after we paid, and was very personable and helpful!!! I will be going back, again and again, to keep on trying the dozens of pizzas on their menu!

Brugo's is the best pizza in Carson! We go often in the summer on Brew or Wine night, all beer or wine is 1/2 off. They have a great patio to sit on in the summer. When it is too cold to sit on the patio, you will find yourself sitting in a cute little Italian Bistro. They offer a wide variety of toppings and cute names that are easy to remember when you call from the car on your way over.

Shannon wanted pizza, I wanted pizza. But we weren't looking for cheap Round Table crap. They have a huge selection and even offer a take and bake ability, but the smell of a cooked pizza in the car makes you want that pizza even more. We stopped at Brugo's and ordered a half combo and half Flying Chorizo. The service was immediate and prompt. What a tasty pizza! Definitely worth the price! Thin crust to large crust.

Delicious! They have some really interesting pizza choices here. I'd love to try more when I'm in town again. Burrito pizza is amazing! If you like thick crust you might not be happy. We ordered the "regular" and it was pretty thin, but I love pizza thin or thick. I can't wait to try more pizza styles.

I'm really bummed, because the reviews on this place are good, however...
I've been here twice. I work in an office that likes this pizza and has sent me twice to order/pick up. The first time, I had to wait an extra 15 minutes because as the owner (i think) explained to me, employees had called in sick and they were running behind. Okay, well I was a little annoyed because I was on a tight schedule, but, oh well.
This time, I called at 10:35 a.m., was right around the corner, said I needed to order some pizzas to go for lunch, and the guys told me to go ahead and come in to order, that he would unlock the door for me. I did so, but when I said I needed to large pizza's for lunch time (11:30), he said they had some big orders come in and there was no way he'd be able to get me a pizza until 11;45 or 12:00. This time I was really bummed. Is he not staffed fully? anyway, he recommended that I go to pizza hut instead. Which I did. Next time, I will not go to Brugo's first.Comment from Kristi P. of Brugo's Pizza Company and Bistro 8/4/2011

Brugo's probably has the best pizza in Carson. This location has a new owner now and is independent of the Brugo's Pizza in Reno. Walking into the store you wouldn't know, everything is still the same, as is the menu and prices. Beer night is still Tuesday with half off all beer and Wed. is the half off all wine night. Wed. is still pretty popular. The seating area can get filled fast on Wed. but as soon as summer comes, the rear patio will be open. They also have various sandwiches here. My fave "The Monte" has their house made pesto and turkey. The lunch slices of pizza now include a drink for the same price, before the drink was extra. That makes things a little more affordable. My fav pizza here is the Chrissy. You get what you pay for here, so if you can afford the best, here it is. They still do take and bake too, and the pizza actually comes out at home the same as cooked in a real pizza oven.

Unique selection, delicious pizza, good service. I've only been here once, but I'll go back. It is a little pricey for me~ it won't be an everyday occasion for sure.

Small in house dining area.
Not a "kid friendly" pizza place. Asked for a few crackers and the waitress brought a plate with five croutons on it.
Server did not have the most upbeat/friendly personality.
Ordered the Taco pizza...it was wonderful!
They seem to do a lot of Take and Bake business.
Visited this restaurant on 9/3/09 for dinner.Comment from Kristi P. of Brugo's Pizza Company and Bistro 8/4/2011

Great wings! Good pizza. Tons of great beers. Decent wine. All a bit over priced for the sluggish service. I would go again if work is paying.

I had the boring margherita pizza (given all the exotic options here). It was really good but I have to admit I was expecting better given the other reviews. If this place was in my hometown, I wouldnt go back, but when in Reno, I would.

First time there tonight. The pizza was really great. It was different than I have ever had and maybe the best I ever had. The atmosphere was definitely bistro and the outside seating was enjoyable. Even though its a drive and I don't eat alot of pizza, I suspect I will be a regular here.

I AGREE! The Pizza is the best I've EVER HAD! Brugos is a breath of fresh air when it comes to dining here in Carson! This place is beautiful and the staff are so nice and professional! This is not a fast food joint....it is a high quality dining experience! Great wines and beers...the patio and the bistro are gorgeous! This place would make it even in a big town! I cannot figure out what makes the pizza so darn good! Is it the fresh homemade sauce or the fresh dough? Or all the fresh ingredients? Ooops! Forgot the desserts! Try the great CANOLLI and PROFITEROLES!!!!!! AND the prices are great! CHEAPER THAN NASTY OLPIZZA HUT OR ROUND TABLE! Try Brugos soon!

Brugos pizza was a great dining experience. When you first walk in it looks like your averge mom and pop Italian restaurant; as you step through the door the smell of pizza cooking enters your nose. The server asks you if you whant to sit inside or outside, sit out side it is a very nice pourch especally on a nice night. The lady serving us immidently asked us for our drink orders and came back with our drinks and water, she left for a little bit and seemed to know when we were redy to order... i like that. She recomended the cheesy bread as an apatizer and what can i say it was amazing, the mozerella cheese with the pizza crust fried in olive oil; it just melts in your mouth. This restrant has the best pizza in town, but is a little more on the pricey side but it is so worth it tho I would go here once a week. best pizza in town!!!
