New York, NY
Come here to get my bagel fix while I'm away at school.
I find that outside of NY, its difficult to find decent bagels, but surprisingly bruegger's does a decent job.
Easy access from University of Denver, good selection of bagels and spreads, and also offers sandwiches (and salads?)
I like how they sell yesterdays bagels in bags for a discounted price.
It's bloomed into a chain, which usually turns me away, but they are consistent in producing fresh bagels. -

Standard Bruegger's Bagels nothing horrible about it but nothing to write home about. If you're coming here be prepared to deal with parking issues, there is a small lot shared with Starbucks so trying to find parking can be a nightmare!
One of the things I love about Bruegger's is if you sign up for their email list they start off by sending you a coupon for a free bagel with cream cheese and will send you other offers (but not too many that it gets annoying or floods your inbox) -

Is this what bagels have come ? Soft, chewy bagels and dull. off-putting sandwiches. There are surely better ways to spend one's money. Perhaps it was just the wrong afternoon.

Good bagels but rude employees.
Came here on a busy Saturday and ordered a breakfast bagel with ham and cheese. Not too hard right? Got to the check out and it was $7. I mean really? It said $3.99 on the board with tax. I told the cashier I didn't order that bagel and what I did order.
Long story short, he was just rude saying it wasn't a big difference in price. Well yes, but I didn't want to pay $7 for a $4 + change bagel. The cashier, whom I think was a supervisor was just rude, making it seem like I knew the difference between the 2 prices. If the person making the bagel explained to me the difference it would have been clear, but feeling attacked by the cashier, not a good way to start the morning.
By then I was just annoyed as they messed up the order 2 more times. One with egg and the other with no meat on it. The whole experience was a hot mess and would NEVER go back here. -

I will keep this quick because a place like Bruegger's doesn't really need a review when there is a university full of rich white people that routinely frequent this bagel establishment (I'm one such person).
First, the bagels are boiled. This is a lost art in the bagel-making world. Do you know what a baked-bagel tastes like? No? Go to your kitchen, grab the bread, take five slices, mash them up into your hand. Yeah, that's a non-boiled bagel. Sick.
Second, the bagel sandwiches are great. They have a few healthier options (cause bagels are real healthy) like the sun-dried tomato spread. There are several different options, which is nice when you find yourself getting a bagel every other day.
Third, Bruegger's could have made that fourth star light up, but the coffee is TERRIBLE. I could squeeze coffee grounds with my hands into a cup of water and make the same quality coffee. Coffee and bagels go together. So, like your bagels, you should make top-rate coffee, Bruegger's. -

Cause sometimes you need bread~
This particular morning I really needed a bagel, something solid in my stomach b/c my day was destined to get wild. I ordered a jalapeno bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese, and every desire I thought might have this morning was met. The warm toasted, the salty, the spicy and the filling. It was perfect.
Then to top it off : "Yesterday's bagels" bin. For $1.99 you can buy a bag o' assorted bagels from yesterday. I grocery shop often and you can't get average(tasting) store bought bagels that are half the size and not so fresh for under $2.50, so I scooped this deal right up.
Downside: the parking is ridiculous. The lot is the size of my back yard with a continuous rotation of cars looking looking... With starbucks, a dry cleaner, a florist and other small businesses in the same nook, it's easier to find DU event parking and walk the 4 blocks. Unfortunate.Listed in: B/C I love to Eat~

Bruegger's has good bagels. It really does.
However, I must disclose that when I was a wee lad going to DU, I worked at Bruegger's. I used to live off bagels. It is kinda gross, but I probably ate a bagel at every meal for those 8 months. Healthy? No.
But the fact that I still eat bagels - from Brueggers - is a true testament. -

Let's get this out in the open.. I was born and raised in NY for the first 35 years of my life, including NYC, Long Island, and westchester - so a) this review is all about bagels because b) i know bagels.
Unlike many Colorado bagel makers, these don't suck. Bruegger's actually makes them the right way, dough, boiled, and baked in an authentic-style oven. Just seeing the equipment, including the hose to rinse away the seeds, takes me back to NY and the good bagels you can get all over.
They have all the flavors I'd expect: salt, everything, poppy, and sesame. They do deviate a bit from the standard fare of bagels and offer bagels covered in cheese, square bagels, and bagels filled with stuff I'd prefer not get into.
I, however, am just appreciate they have good bagels.. they're not NY-level bagels.. If NYC bagels are an A, these would be a B or B-, but most of Colorado, like Einstein's, would earn a D+.. so that's a compliment to Bruegger's.
I like to swing by and get a dozen.. try 'em! -

I love to eat here. The asiago parmesan bagels are a favorite at my house, I usually pick up a dozen with a couple tubs of jalapeno cream cheese.
Great for lunch or dinner, the bagel sandwiches are delish!
This location is always full of students from DU because of where it's located. So you'll see a lot of books and laptops around.
My only problem with them is that I've gone by 30 minutes before closing a couple times, and they'd already locked the door. Kind of annoying. -

This is a review of the iced coffee. This seems to be the big thing this summer; even McDonald's has it.
Bruegger's is cold brewed, which is less bitter than traditionally brewed coffee. Also, they add sweet cream to it. Very smooth, and very good. You can dress it up with whipped cream, and there's a raspberry flavor, but the regular is just great. -

I LOVE BRUEGGER'S!!! I go here almost everyday because it is right by my house. Their bagels are delicious and their sandwiches are creative yet common enough for everyone to know and love them. My boyfriend comes here so much that he was customer of the month, that gives you a bigger idea of how much I love this place. Try their cinnamon sugar bagel with strawberry cream cheese, great combination. If you like something a little spicier, try the Western egg breakfast sandwich. Everything I have had here is great, so really you can't go wrong.

I love Brueggers. Everything else I've had outside of NYC is a pathetic excuse for a bagel. Brueggers has it nailed from the bagels to the brekafast sammies ( try the spinach chedder w/ bacon bagel) to their lunch sandwiches. Their veggie sandwich and the BLT are fantastic.
Their prices have gone up, so I have to admit I'm buying fewer dozens lately, but I still can't help myself.1 Previous Review: Show all »

So this is not a review based on their bagels or anything they have to satisfy the tum-tum but about the wi-fi!
Okay, waiting for a friend who has interview at DU. Looking for free wi-fi. I see big sign in Bruegger's Bagel's window that advertises free wi-fi. Great I thought!
Not so great.
First sat down after I ordered a snacky and iced coffee. Tried to get online....but to no avail.
Asked bagel worker bee.
She says the network is called (can't remember), so I show her on my computer there is no network by that name?
She stares back blankly.
I say, "Are you sure?"
She goes to find out. Comes back. She says, " Yep that's what it's called."
I say, "Well it's not on here. Perhaps it needs to be reset?" She walks away and I think she's going to talk with a manager or get the problem solved somehow...but no she just goes back to being a bagel worker bee.
I see one other lady on the other end of the shop with a computer I ask her if she is on the internet.
She says, "Barely." And shows me she only has one bar and tells me it is super slow. So I shlep all my goods over to a table closer to her and am able to get online with one bar also. I can't load a few websites and was never able to find the supposed bagel network. Luckily I wasted plenty of time trying to get online that a hour had passed and my friend was done with the interview. So much for doing a little work?
So my friends don't be deceived by the eye pleasing sign about free wi-fi. It is not worth it! And hey you Bruegger's if you are going to clearly advertise free wi-fi for the love of God please make sure it works correctly. K? -

If you are craving something simple, their egg, ham, and cheese bagels rock my socks off!

When I was swimming 6 hours a day, I would barrel into Brueggers, order an egg, cheese and sausage sandwich and grab some creamy Nestle chocolate milk. If you are an athlete, you understand that the thought of a warm, carb filled breakfast after a grueling workout is what keeps you going. I love this place because it fueled me for the entire summer. They have seasonal flavors...pumpkin for one...and are all-in-all a great place if your craving a bagel. Thank god there are several near me in CA!

Yep. As others have said it, the best damn bagels outside of NY state, this is legit bagel land. You can get good spreads here too and make a bagel sandwich if you want to... Toppings are not as varied as spicy pickle, but this place is billing itself as a bakery, not a sandwich shop. Excellent Bagels.
