Although I try to avoid chain restaurants, we come to this Breugger's pretty regularly (or "on the regs" as the kids say) to get a little breakfast/late lunch, especially when we get their coupons for a free bagel or $2 off a sandwich.
Two observations: The clientele tends to be a little Newporty (anorexic-looking moms in Lulu pants, you know the type) and annoying. And the place sometimes gets super-crowded, so it's loud both inside and outside on the patio, which faces PCH, rather than facing the side street. Not much they can do about either of those, really.
But really, when it comes down to it, I have zero complaints. The food is always good, the coffee is great, the service is friendly, quick and accurate.
....For a less chainy experience, try Rose or Zinc a half mile down the street! -

Came here a few times, and had a bagel one time, then a sandwich, and also tried the soup. Fairly average flavors, not a problem to find seating. As others have mentioned, they can scoop out the bagel to make it low(er) carb.
My son likes the peanut butter and jelly option, and their sandwiches are sort of tasty, although everything is kind of made for the blander tastes here.
Down a rating star because there was, honestly, a cockroach in the space next to the booth, upside down, squirming. Lost my appetite at that point. -

I had a few days off for the holidays and was looking to have some yummy breakfast and start my day. I cruised into Starbucks but it was full to the brim, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity to cruise across the street and see if the bagel place had coffee too.
I had a toasted bagel with some butter (I've got simple tastes here) and a large iced coffee. I was in and out and it was affordable. I noticed they had all sorts of yummy options between bagels, sandwiches, drinks, coffees, smoothies... they seemed to have it all. And they were quite friendly and efficient. Awesome. I'll definitely return! -

Good bagel place located in the middle of cdm near starbucks...bagels are always hot and soft...I like the fact that they also have sandwiches, salads, wraps, oh...and the "skinny" menu for both breakfast and lunch....lots of choices for every type of customer. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, but the line always moves along fast...the whole "assembly line" deal. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. The patio outside is a nice place to eat and watch nice cars drive by on pch. Never a problem with parking since they have their own parking lot with an employee out there patrolling it to make sure starbucks customers don't park in their little lot.
This is a solid place for a bagel in the morning or for a lunchtime sandwich. -

Yummm bagels! I've had Bruggers in Santa Ana before. That was many many many years ago. The menu has now expanded into a bunch of different ones. It feels like I'm at subway here. It's priced pretty well. The bagels here were pretty good. The service was a okay. I had the smoked salmon bagel with plain cream cheese, onions, and tomatoes. You pretty much can't go wrong here. There's so many different options to choose from. They have something for everyone.

I know this is a chain but it's a great place. Across the street from Starbucks and has outside seating. Tons of seating inside and outside.
The people here are so nice and helpful! I asked about hummus and he found some in the fridge and gave me a small sample to see if it was something I'd like. The next day I went and asked about some bagels and the women working were just so helpful.
Cinnamon sugar bagel with cream cheese = you can't go wrong with this!!!!! The bagel was sooooooo tasty! TRY IT! I like that it has hummus since my boyfriend doesn't eat cream cheese. It has ice cream also, I didn't try it but Haagen Dass is great ice cream. -

Giving this place a second star was generous. Do yourself a favor and buy your own bagels and make them at home. The food should hardly be considered food, the eggs seem fake and the cheese, as well.

How do I not know Amy K? I'm at Brueggers every day. I eat where she eats. I run where she runs.
My favorite thing about Brueggers is they will scoop the bagel out for you - or as my friend Pam calls it, Judy's hollowed-out Bagel. You get the best of the bagel, the yummy crust, and the cream cheese or egg and cheese or whatever you'd like, without all the nasty bread. I know it sounds crazy cause a bagel is bread right? But it's really the crust that's the best part. I wouldn't steer ya wrong.
Brueggers has the nice neighborhood service you get from many places in Corona del Mar. If you're a regular customer (and perhaps if you drop a little change in the tip jar) they'll see you when you walk through the door and call your order to the front of the line on busy days. If you're like me and have a regular order that is.
I'll be tenth in line and I'll hear "Egg and Cheese, Rosemary" and sure enough the girl and the register will be waving a sack at me. My order's ready. Hot Damn - an extra star for service.Listed in: Best of Corona del Mar

This Brueggers location is always packed on Saturday mornings. Located in Corona del Mar, right across the street from Starbucks on PCH, you'll always see people eating here after their morning walk, bike ride, or run. They don't seem to mind if you bring in your Starbucks, even though they sell coffee here. There is a small parking lot in the back, or you can park on the street, maybe.
Some weekends the line is almost out the door, but it moves quickly. Today I actually remembered to bring one of the Brueggers coupons that come in the mail, so I got a free bagel with cream cheese or butter with the purchase of a beverage. What a deal! I had the Everything bagel, my favorite, toasted with butter and an iced tea. The tea here is China Mist, which I don't particularly care for, but it was okay.
What I really like about this Brueggers is they have an outdoor patio so you can sit outside with your breakfast and people watch. Unfortunately today I didn't get to do this, since all the tables were taken, and my friends who were sitting inside all decided to split as soon as I got there. What? Eh, Brueggers bagels taste just as good in your car while you're driving as they do sitting inside the cafe. Well, almost as good.Listed in: Time for Breakfast

I like bagels, I like choices, and Bruegger's Bagels gives me both. I like the idea that a bagel can be more than just a round slab of bread and Bruegger's highlights that fact by offering bagel breakfast sandwiches, regular deli style sandwiches as well as your traditional bagel and a dozen styles of cream cheese.
I was a happy girl eating my plain but hot and fresh bagel with a hot lemon stash tea while my cohort on this venture had one with smear. A lovely light breakfast on a lovely Saturday morning.Listed in: Just Breakfast

Same great atmosphere and food as other Brueggers locations, but this one is not as convenient for the out-of-home office user. Outlets are conspicuous or non-existant for the laptop.

"Ooh.. Lamborghini."
"No way, those are total complex cars."
"What does that mean?"
"I associate men who drive those cars with manhood complexes"
"Hhmm. What about that Jaguar?"
"Pretty! I'd definitely drive it."
"How's your bagel?"
"It's good. Sesame seed bagel with salmon and sprouts goes perfectly with watching expensive cars on a rainy day."
"Agreed. Ooh, nice Ducati!"
"Mmm Hmm. I've always wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle."
"Your mom has always wanted to learn how to--"
"Shut up and eat your bagel." -
Review from Hazel Q.
Not the best place in the world to hang out with a laptop, but they make a surprisingly mean bagel. Plus tons of options on lowfat spreads (hell, I'm wasting enough cals on the bagel - might as well save some where I can).

This location has 2 things that i love - bagels and ice cream. I dont know how i didnt walk out with a bagel in one hand and a ice cream cone in the other.
I stopped here for a sandwich for a beach picnic at crystal cove. I got the chicken salad sandwich and the bf got something something with roast beef. In all honestly, everything sounded tastey.. i even considered the vegetarian sandwiches (and trust me...im a meatasaurus..) Im pretty sure that anything on their menu will be satisfying.
They have the standard selection of bagels - plain, errthang, blueberry, jalapeno (and a couple more that i cant remember). But they also have a couple different ones that i've never heard of like rosemary olive, trail mix, and sundried tomato. We shared a rosemary olive bagel with salmon cream cheese. LOVED IT!
They also sell day old bagels for 2.something, which is such a steal! I wish there was a brueggers closer to where i lived..
Oh yea. We got to the entrance of crystal cove and decided to go to corona del mar beach instead... We go to the beach and our sandwiches and bagel were exactly the way they should be..nothing was soggy! -

Bruegers is generally a great place to nosh on bagels. It is very clean with a modern decor. Plua big screen T.V. if you want to catch up on world events. The staff is very helpfull and always try extremely hard to please.
I must say I love lox ( Salmon ) and cream cheese bagel sandwiches. It comes with as much red onions, capers and tomatoes as I want. Plus as many pickles as I can eat. All for a measley $7.95. Zovs charges $13.95 for the same product with inferior bagels. Go there for a treat if you love bagels and lox. -

There's nothing like a good bagel and a coffee in the morning. Especially if you sit outside along PCH and enjoy the beach scene. Great way to start a Sunday.

we stopped at brueggers in corona del mar on 12/28/10 for a quick & easy breakfast. my granddaughter is allergic to eggs & nuts and therefore, the bagel we order cannot be touched by the plastic gloves the workers use to pick up 500 bagels before changing gloves. I requested several times, they use a tissue, but i got constant attitude, including the girl throwing the bagel in the trash!!!! I explained several times WHY i did not want the bagel touched by 500 other bagel flavors!! then the OTHER worker got involved and still these people have a great big attitude. maybe they need a new job somewhere else...they don't seen too greatful having a job. My daughter ordered an ice tea, the tea container was almost empty. When they filled the ice tea order, they only filled it 1/2 full, then shrugged when we requested they fill the cup to the top!!! How do these people still manage to have a job?? maybe management needs to step in and do a little investigating.....you can bet we will NOT return to this place any time soon if ever.....trust me, there is plenty of other bagel joints.
