There are a lot of things to like about this Bruegger's location, very friendly staff, free Wifi, good coffee and inside/outside seating. Their bagels aren't bad, I really wanted to give Bruegger's four starts but I recently discovered Brooklyn Bagels in Arlington whose bagels are larger, better looking and more flavorful. That being said, I've patronized this place many times and love having a bagel shop in my hood. I recommend the olive oil bagel with sausage egg and cheese. The olive oil bagels are always fresh and soft, the subtle olive oil taste compliments the other flavors very well.
Only 13 reviews? What's going on? This seems like the kind of place that would be all yelped out by now -

I arrived at 6:30 a.m. when the store opens at 6:00, and zero Cinammon Sugar bagels were in stock.
This always happens to me. I go in to an establishment for a very specific item, and they don't have it (like the time they didn't have cones at Cold Stone Creamery). There's no way all the Cinammon Sugar bagels sold out in 30 minutes. I just won't believe it, and my conclusion is they were never made. I guess I could have requested to have them add Cinammon and Sugar to a plain bagel, but I decided to try the Smoked Salmon Bagel Sandwich instead. The cream cheese was not spread throughout my bagel, but looked to have been inserted through the hole of the top half of the bagel. It was just one big clump of cream cheese. I had to spread the cream cheese around the bagel myself. For a $7 bagel sandwich, I should not have to put the sandwich together myself. -

I love bagels, I love Bruegger's, and I'm so glad to see they opened up a spot in the Georgetown / Glover Park area.
This morning was one of those once in a blue moon days where I woke up early and stopped by before class to pick up a toasted everything bagel with garden veggie cream cheese for ~$2.50. They gave me garlic and herb, but I like both so no complaints.
This outpost is new, shiny and has free wi-fi. It's open at 6AM every day, and goes until 7PM - for the early birds, this is definitely a spot to check out. Plus, it's across the street from Whole Foods.Listed in: How to have a Study Party

Good bagels, polite service from people who are still kinda learning the ropes...so be patient you crabby non-morning people... and free wifi!
Yay!
Also of note, during warm months there's outdoor seating out back near (in) the parking lot, with a water bowl for the pooch.Listed in: Dog Friendly DC, Tea! A List.

I have been waiting for YEARS for some place, any place, to open in Glover Park where I can get a cup of coffee outside of Starbucks. Woo hoo! I'm satisfied.
This Bruegger's is like any other -- bagels, coffee, sandwiches, etc. There is seating, but it was pretty empty when I went in this morning. I'll be curious to see if the lunchtime crowd comes in.
The opening is this week and the employees are falling over themselves to greet people and be enthusiastic. It was a great way to start my Friday and I walked out with an iced vanilla coffee and everything bagel. So long, bitter Starbucks coffee! -

I go often with my kids early in the morning during the weekend. We like it here. You can sit inside or outside.
Lately, It is getting difficult to find a place to park. The people visiting El Salvador Consulate are taking over most of the parking.
The manager lady Is very nice and efficient. The "bagel makers" always seems a nit novice, but it is ok.
The atmosphere and the bagels here are both good.
Ahhh another thing. They need to have an better way to cut bagels. Like those machines that have in Einstein Bro down the street. Otherwise, when someone orders 2 dozen bagels "sliced": a) it delays the lines since the have to cut each one by hand and b) sometimes they seem a bit annoy ed-when they should not be-
Bagels are good! -

I really like Bruegger's but this location gets really busy and slow at peak times.

How rude. I was definitely excited to see Bruegger's open up in Glover Park as I was a big fan back in my college days in Upstate, NY. I went in for my first and last time this past Saturday. To start with the woman behind the counter taking orders and making the bagels was pretty bad. A couple of customers before me were asking questions and she was flat out ignoring them, as I was waiting for my bagel and the family behind me was ordering, she actually was telling them to "come on, come on, hurry up."
I order the garlic bagel which of course has pieces that fall off. As I ate at my table, a few pieces fell off and got on the table. After I finished as I cleaned my area of my juice, napkins and bagel wrapper, I thought I had gotten all the little crumbs. Apparently not, because another woman who was wiping down all the tables looked right at me as she was wiping down mine and said "I was worse than a little kid." Oh well, back to Einstein's I guess, where I have always had very good service and a better selection of bagels. -

This establishment is an insult to Bruegger's across the nation, and to bagel lovers everywhere. Never, ever go to this place. Horrible, slow service from a staff that audibly complains about their job, doesn't pay attention to customers, gets orders incorrect, and gets their dirty hands all over your bagel sandwich. I am desperate for a quick breakfast sandwich in this area, but as desperate as I get, I will never return to this place.

I ate here at least 1-2 times a week over the summer while I was working. Everyone who worked there was always friendly, if maybe a little slow. And the bagels were good!

The service is typically very slow and a lot of times you will be ignored even if no one is in front of you in line. What should take 5 minutes often ends up taking 15. The internet is also very spotty.

I decide to try something different for lunch. Bruegger's had a parking lot in the back. So, I stopped in to check what they have to offer. The service was slow. I'm glad I was not in a rush. Seem like some internal conflict was going on, it was subtle, but obvious to me. As for the food, I can say the price was a little higher than expected. I had a roast beef sandwich, which was good, but not great. I guess all the gourmet ingredient, like the fresh baked bread and freshly made honey mustard sauce was the driving reason for the upscale price. I also tried a bagel with cream cheese. It seemed a little hard for a bagel, compared to Einstein Bros., Panera bread and the usual store brand. But, it was during lunch time, so I'll try their bagels again in the morning and see if they are worth the effort to do business with Bruegger. This was my first visit there, hopefully my second visit will be better.
