We couldn't be more pleased that we chose Bruce to represent us in the purchase of our first home. Due to the nature of my work I've had the opportunity to meet numerous real estate agents over the past ten years. And I've built relationships with many of the best in all of Southern California. When it came time to select a Realtor to work with Bruce was at the top of our list. Bruce's attention to detail and constant communication kept us sane during a normally crazy and nerve wracking experience. I would recommend Bruce every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Bruce is honest, energetic and committed to doing the best job possible--and in my opinion, those are the three most important qualities for a real estate agent. He approaches each transaction as a collaboration with his client, providing all the information possible to allow you to make the best decision. He is not only detail oriented but able to anticipate upcoming events in the process so we were prepared for them when they arrived. He was also able to anticipate our needs by giving us time to reflect on decisions yet prompting us when events required action.
In short, Bruce is a fantastic real estate agent. And having worked with many agents over the years, that is a rare commodity. -

We found Bruce through the Yelp review when we were thinking about purchasing a house early this year. We interviewed a few agents that had good reviews on Yelp and were really impressed with his knowledge about the market, his sincerity and his professionalism. Right before we were ready to make a decision, a friend of ours who had just bought a house recommended his agent, so we went with his recommendation instead.
A few weeks into our house shopping, we changed our mind about purchasing a new house and renting out the old condo - we decided to sell our condo instead. The agent we were working with is specialized in buying only, so we needed a seller's agent. Bruce's name popped up in our mind immediately due to the impression he left upon us during our initial meeting. We met with him again and was impressed by his knowledge once again, and decided to give him a try, which turned out to be the best decision we made regarding our condo!
About a week after we listed our condo, we had to take an emergency trip out of the country. We called Bruce and let him know about the situation, and he was very understanding and assured us not to worry about anything while we were away, as he would take care of things. How TRUE he was to his words! During the two weeks we were away, not only did he handle numerous inquiries about our condo, hold an open house, to our ecstasy, he also secured an offer which we accepted and finally closed in a month!! My friend couldn't believe it when we told him our condo went into escrow when we were thousands of miles away from our home!
I could go on and on about things Bruce did right that made our house selling experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. To summarize, here are a few strengths (among many others) we noticed through our interactions with him that made him really stand out (not in particular order) -
- High competency. We told Bruce our main objective was to sell the condo as quickly as possible for a reasonable price. The extensive and through research he did before listing our condo helped us price it in the right range to achieve that. We didn't have to lower our price once and ended up signing the contract in less than 3 weeks!
- Complete honesty. He told us upfront how much he felt our condo was worth instead of giving us an unreasonable estimate to just "lure" us into working with him, as we heard some realtors would do. He also pointed out even though it would cost money it would serve us good eventually by upgrading our carpet flooring which had a lot of stains, to laminate flooring. We listened to his advice, and it ended up paying off tremendously.
- Dedication and responsiveness. He held two rounds of open house in just three short weeks, one of which was done when we were out of town. His average response time to our email was less than 10 minutes! After we accepted the offer, he made sure things were processed speedily by all parties, so we could close escrow on time.
- Professionalism. Bruce handles everything with a great deal of professionalism. Whenever we had questions or concerns, he would be extremely patient and take time to explain to us until we were completely clear with no concerns.
- Resourcefulness. Being it upgrading our flooring, taking professional pictures, or conducting termite inspection, Bruce always has someone just a phone call away through his experience over the years.
In the end, we feel Bruce isn't just a realtor who did a highly satisfactory job selling our condo - he is truly a friend who we can trust. We were thrilled we made the right choice selecting him as our agent.

Bruce did a great job helping us purchase two investment condos. He got a sense that we like to do a lot of research ourselves and helped us when we needed it. He also gave honest opinions on certain condos which were not good investments.
He really shined when we were in escrow. Both of our condos were short sales, which makes the process MUCH more complicated. He sent us many gentle reminders to keep us on track and kept in constant contact with the seller's bank, our broker, etc to make sure the deal went through on time.
Personable, honest, detail-oriented. Great job Bruce! -

As a first time home buyer, I know I'm a small fry in the real estate market. I've heard the horror stories and have cringed at the thought of finding a realtor who will take the time to help me find a home. I didn't know any realtors in the state of California, let alone San Diego, and had no idea where to start. Luckily, I found Bruce Levine's website. We met, we discussed ideals, and we worked through the pre-approval process.
Fast forward through 3 days of 15 homes, countless e-mails, texts, phone calls, signatures, plus 3 written offers and we opened escrow on our first dream home within one week. (Yes, all that in one week!) 23 days later, I am proud to be a first time home owner, who was treated as a unique client, even though Bruce was always coming or going to meet another client just like me.
I am amazed that I found a realtor who could get me through this process with an efficient patience. I'm amazed that a realtor can make me feel like his only client, even though I know there were others. I'm amazed that it wasn't about the commission, the hours devoted to the cause, or the countless miles to travel to North County to get the job done. I am thankful that it was about finding what I wanted, in a neighborhood that wasn't intimidating, that would hold its value as the market (hopefully) improves.
I'm glad that I found Bruce, for now I have a lifelong realtor that's all over SD County. I'd gladly recommend him no matter what you're looking for. He'll go the extra three miles to make sure everything is perfect - just the way YOU want it! -

I found Bruce on Yelp when I was thinking about buying a house. Being a first time buyer I wasn't sure what to expect. I am very glad to have worked with Bruce. He is extremely dedicated and really makes you feel like you're his only client.
Within 2 months, Bruce found me a great house and we closed on time. I wasn't expecting the process to be so smooth and stress free! I'd recommend Bruce to anyone. He knows the market well and genuinely cares that you come away happy.

I had the opportunity to work with Bruce Levine for a short time while I was in the real estate business, so I already knew his credentials as an agent. When my wife and I decided it was time to purchase in the San Diego area, in my mind there was no other option than to call Bruce for representation.
I had spent about five years representing buyers as a real estate agent myself, mostly in the Phoenix area, and I came to know a lot of people in the field. As in any line of work, there are good ones and bad ones. But the single most important criterion I looked for in other agents during those years came down to one word: Trust. Can they be trusted to be knowledgeable about the business, can they be trusted to represent clients with total honesty and transparency, and can they be trusted to act with the highest ethical standards. To my surprise, there were many that failed on some, and often all, of these facets.
I'm happy to say that Bruce Levine excels in all these facets, and that's why we chose him as our buyer's agent. On top of the aforementioned qualities, Bruce also possesses other traits that in my mind are indispensable, such as: responsiveness. my calls and/or emails would be followed up within minutes, every time. Also, availability. We dragged him all around North County San Diego every week for three months until we found the right house. And lastly, connections. Bruce steered us to some terrific talent in the flooring, painting and mortgage broker businesses that made the buying process easier.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Bruce to buy our first house. He went above and beyond showing us homes, condos, town-homes all over San Diego County. While acting as partly as marriage counselor, he was able to show us an amazing opportunity near the coast that met all of our criteria. His excellent communication skills and rapport with the selling agent allowed us to actually under-bid a competing investor who wanted to pay with cash. Bruce has high standards for himself and his clients and if you are checking up on his work, that is a good sign you would be able to work well with him.

My husband and I were going to be first time home buyers when we first met Bruce. He helped us begin the process of buying our first home. At that time we decided to rent for another year so we could get our finances better situated...Fast forward a year and a half from then and we were NOW ready! Bruce patiently waited for us to be "ready" and never pressured us into the home buying process.
Not only were we ready to buy but my husband was about to leave for a 6 month deployment. So, this meant it was up to me to navigate through this process on my own. THANK GOODNESS I had Bruce Levine to help me along as well.
In the beginning I was a little frustrated with Bruce's methods. He needed my husband and I to be pre-approved before I was able to look at any houses with him. Now pre-approved doesn't mean pre-qualified. We went through the entire home loan process, we used a VA loan, so we knew exactly what our price point would be and what we could afford in this market. Bruce also referred me to an amazing home leading service who made that process quite painless.
Now the reason Bruce had us do this was because he wasn't going to waste my time and his looking at homes that we couldn't afford and he really kept me in check with this. I would suggest a home and he would ask LOTS of questions as to how we were going to afford that home. He was not going to put myself and my husband in a situation he wasn't comfortable with. THIS IS KEY WHEN LOOKING FOR A REAL ESTATE AGENT. Some agents are out there only looking to make money off you and I can truly say Bruce is not one of them. He was not going to let me buy a home we couldn't afford. He will always have your best interest in mind.
So we are now pre-approved and ready to buy! I was VERY proactive in finding a home. I knew what I wanted and where I wanted to live. I would email Bruce many listings asking for his opinion and he gave it to me. Again, he was VERY good at keeping my expectations in check. I probably emailed him 5 listings a day and he gave me feedback on each and every one, never annoyed at my "proactive" search :) This went on for about a month or so before we ever went and actually looked at any homes. Bruce never rushed the process and it was all about timing for us.
We looked at about 6 or 8 homes till I found "THE ONE." Now Bruce told me that we might put 5 or 6 offers in till we actually get a house. The price point as to which we were looking was VERY competitive and each house would have multiple offers within days of listing. So, the house which was "the one" was just put on the market and it had everything I wanted in a home. I was SOOOO excited about it and just knew it was going to be mine. Again, Bruce kept my expectations in check letting me know it was a long shot but we were going to try.
That same day I saw the house (emailed pics to my husband aboard an aircraft carrier, communication is very limited on those things) we put in an offer and that same day they chose us!!!! There were 4 offers on the house and they chose us, first time home buyers using a VA loan!!! Not only that it was the first offer we put in on any home!!! The ONLY reason we got the house was because of Bruce's savvy real estate skills. He knew how this market was and what sellers were looking for. And we couldn't be happier with our home!!!!
I signed the papers to close a week before my husband returned home and we moved in two weeks after he got home! And he LOVES the home as well. He felt comfortable knowing Bruce was there to help me through this process and that Bruce wouldn't allow me to purchase something that was out of our means (I tried though:)
I HIGHLY recommend Bruce as a real estate agent. He knows his "stuff" and will always have your best interest in mind. It's all about YOUR needs and not his. You will honestly feel like his one and only client and he will do everything he can to get you the home of your dreams, within reason of course!!!
