8 reviews for Brozzetti's Pizza
I recently had this pizza at a party. It was one of the weirdest pizzas I have ever tasted. The dough was sweet and soft and unlike any other pizza dough I had ever tasted. The cheese tasted and looked like melted American cheese, and I'm pretty sure that's what it was. The sauce was a sweet tomato sauce.
It reminded me of the taste of something I made once when I was bored using a toaster, pizza crust, American cheese, and tomato sauce.
This is not traditional pizza at all. Don't expect to be eating traditional pizza when you go here or you will be disappointed.
Overall, I did enjoy the pizza. It wasn't what I was used to and it wasn't the best, but I thought it was interesting. Definitely worth a try!
Not what it used to be. Unique pizza but TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get. Want a good pizza this size and shape go to Cortese.
I came back to Binghamton 4 years after graduating. One of the main reasons was to try Brozzetti's pizza. I never heard of it before - but it is apparently legendary!
It sits in back of the hospital in JC, and like many people who choose to drink the water in Binghamton, it is kept ALIVE by the people of the hospital in JC. There are no tables, so you will invariably be eating with locals in the parking lot beside hospital workers taking a smoke break out of sight of their bosses (and lung cancer patients).
I wouldn't even say it's a step up from Elios. It is one of those crappy pizzas so unique that once in a while you get that taste in your mouth's mind and can't get it out until you have another slice. The crust is chewy, and by the end of the rectangle pie the slices are just worthless. The sauce is a grade below Hunt's catsup and the cheese is a blend of 2 of the cheapest cheeses at the Giant.
For some strange reason I want some now. Damn these masochistic taste buds!
To experience Brozzetti's pizza, FORGET your preconceptions about what pizza should be.
As a Broome County native, it's always been a sweet diversion from the Nirchi's and Pudgie's (remember Pudgie's?) pizza that I had countless times throughout my childhood.
SWEET, that's the word that describes this unusual and delicious pizza. I think it's the dough that's sweet- I used to have debates with friends about was it the dough or the sauce that's sweet.
Try it yourself to decide! I'll never forget the phone number-thanks to the radio commercials that played constantly in the 80's. "797-9960-call Brozzetti's for pizza to go!"
well after a trip to the emegency room for a case of stupid (it involved a spot light and an old wooded ladder) I tried brozzettis again. I remebered the pizza as pretty good to excellent. However, that memory may have been damaged in my fall. I do admit it was great to eat anything after my ordeal in the emergency room. But Im not sure if this is even really pizza. Its basically wonderbread with ragu sauce and american cheese. It reminded me of something I would make a college when I ran low on grocery money.
No doubt the BESt pizza hot, cold, for breakfast whatever.
Whenever I make it back east from sunny CA I make sure I get my fill of Brozzetti's. Reasonably priced.
Excellent pizza, if you want classic New York style this place is not it. It is very Binghamton, slightly sweet dough, small squares, very unique - very good. Take out only.
Awful.. Just simply awful. Tastes like ketchup or chef boyardee sauce on cardboard. To call this pizza is an atrocity. Pizza in Binghamton is definitely sub par compared to NYC style, but even for the popular sheet style pizza in the area, take a pass. Get a box of Ellios and it will be much better.
