I have gone to Brows By Julie twice now and have had a good experience each time. Julie is a brow artist as she was able to sculpt my eyebrows to the perfect thickness and fine tune the great work with natural colors, filling in the brows following the natural hair growth line. Julie is very friendly and affordable. An additional benefit is that the shape endures. Until Brows By Julie, I had yet to find a place that satisfactorily shaped my brows. I highly recommend Brows By Julie.

YAY! Julie just moved to a new location and I LOVE it! Since my brows have grown in a little better, I didn't have that much work to do. Julie hadn't even started in on my brows when a new client commented that they looked great - good shaping from before! Got my man-stache removed in a jiffy then got down to business on the brows. I don't know what she uses, but even after she is done waxing, there is some sweet tenderness in the way she puts on the after-care product. I love it. Never leave looking red or irritated and I have very sensitive skin. As far as the new place goes, it is TOO CUTE! I felt like I was in someone's sweet little cottage - lots of natural light and windows, fresh, clean, and cozy setting. Can't wait to go back. Oh - and there are aestheticism and massage rooms, too, so you can get a lot done while you are visiting. Good move, the new place is a gem.

This is the second time Julie has done my brows and once again I love her work. So many places thin out the brows tell they are gone. She actually shapes them so that it looks natural, clean and full. When I first saw her I had some holes from over tweezing and waxing. She gave me tips and my brows have filled in more and are looking good. Her new location is super cute. Hopefully the peeps who had a bad experience can try her again. She is very capable and friendly.

I've got thin, uneven, super blonde brows that have always been a mess.
That is, until I found Julie. She did an amazing job at making my brows look even and natural. She also tinted them the perfect dark blonde shade (I've had them tinted before and they were dark brown - not a good look on a pale towhead like me).
Julie is a complete perfectionist, tweezing and trimming until she gets the perfect shape. She's also super friendly and totally professional. I'd give her more stars if I could. She is the best! -

I'm not quite sure where to begin with this review of Julie. I arrived earlier than my appointment. Upon walking into the salon, she announced "Oh, are YOU the late one"? Er, me late, no...actually, I was 10 minutes EARLY!
This greeting put a bad taste in my mounth and things just went downhill from there.
First of all, Julie talked about her personal medical problems to other employees while she was doing my brows. TMI! I could care less about your personal medical problems, I am here to get my brows done, nothing more than that. She also has a rude manner about her. When I asked her if her waxing would be pain free, she said rudely, "Of course, I wouldn't have a brow bar if it was painful". Maybe so, but you could have told me that in a nicer manner. I also asked her to lower the chair since I am short and she just stood there and ignored me.
My brows are so-so. I've had better work done by people who treated me a hella lot better. Would I return here again? Hellz no! There are way too many people in Newport Beach who can do brows and not treat their clients in this manner.
Actually, Julie had an abrubt manner with me on the phone when I made the appointment, so I was leery of even keeping the appointment despite the all the glowing Yelp reviews. I should have listened to my gut and just cancelled based on my first impression of her over the phone. -

WOW!! Love love love Julie! She has been doing my brows for about 6 months. I HATE when people make them too thin but Julie is truly an artist. She is EXTREMELY nice (not sure WHAT some of the nastier comments are about) She is Anastasia trained, my brows are PERFECT and exactly what I wanted. I love that she fills them in with pencil so I leave with a complete look. There is absolutely no one I would trust more with my brows

I really needed a good eyebrow shaping and I was willing to pay even more than the $40 that Julie charged for it, as long as it was good. I wouldn't have even minded her unfriendly attitude if she had done a good job. She waxed, hardly tweezed at all and then DREW eyebrows on me. I looked at myself in the mirror and my eyebrows looked exactly the same as when I walked in (2 months of growth), with pencil added. I'm a huge pushover, so I paid her for the eyebrow shaping that I didn't get without commenting, and went home and washed off the brow pencil. The next day my skin was still red from the waxing, I broke out and I still needed my brows done.
When my skin cleared up, I found Mary at ZenSpa in Huntington Beach and had my eyebrows shaped by her. She was half the price and 100 times better!Comment from Julie P. of Brows By Julie 12/1/2011

Julie is the best! I have been going to her for at least 3 years - she is amazing! I constantly get compliments on my eyebrows.
Everytime I go see her, I walk out feeling like a new person! My face is so flattered by the beautiful shape that she creates out of my eyebrows.
She is extremely talented and I would HIGHLY recommend her. -

I am so glad I found Julie! I went to anastasia in fashion island a few times before and loved the results, but after trying to call and not getting any response for TWO weeks I decided to give up and look elsewhere. I found Brows by Julie here on yelp and was pretty excited by the perfect 5 star reviews she had and everyone is totally right! I came into her brow bar with monstrous, grown out eyebrows and I can't believe how amazing they look now!! She gave them the PERFECT shape and they're just exactly how I like them! Which is a lot to say for me because I've tried a ton of different waxing places because nobody seems to ever get it right. But Julie does! I have found my new go-to waxer! Thanks Julie!

Love my brows now! Julie tinted them and it's so much easier than drawing them in every day. And Julie was great to talk to while the tint set in. If you're coming on a Sat., be sure to call first. The hours posted are just general; I caught her just as she was getting ready to leave.

Julie is AMAZING. I have super pale blonde hair and uneven brows and she tints and waxes them so they look natural and look great with my features. I have received so many compliments! She is a perfectionist, too...which is good thing because so am I. She really takes her time and won't let you leave until you love the way your brows look. I highly recommend her and won't go to anyone else.

Julie is a pro! She knew that a skincare product I was using wouldn't work well with brow wax so she took the time and care to tweeze my brows to perfection! Other places would have simply slapped on the wax and pulled some skin off. Julie is such a lovely person, too! I will definitely go back.

After reading these reviews I wonder if Julie was just having a bad day when I encountered her. Although I thought she did a decent job on my brows, her snooty behavior made me want to take my business elsewhere.

Julie is a real pro. She gave shape to my teeny, tiny eyebrows and then took the time to show me how to pencil them in properly and told me where to buy the pencil. I was in-n-out super fast, no waiting (which is a no-no in my book), and she's a great conversationalist. Thank you, Julie!
