I'm a big coffee nut, raised in Nampa, ID. There are a lot of indie coffee shops out there so I have to go see all the new ones when I visit.
They get their beans from Zoka Coffee (in Seattle), I don't recall whether they roast-date their whole beans or not. They do have a beautiful GB5 (espresso machine) capable of beautiful things, and they know how to treat milk (latte art and all). I didn't see any kind of consistency on their espresso prep, I did see their hopper half full of ground espresso (a no-no).
Best place I found in the area, I do like the ambiance and the service is friendly (if a little shy). -

Local owners. Very homey feel to it. All the pastries are home-made, the coffee is apparently all organic. Very quiet and relaxed. Great place to read, or have a nice drink at. They mainly serve coffee, but they also have several teas. Coffee has a different (but pleasant) taste to it.
