I'm new to town and I was looking for descent steak. I found a great deal when I stumbled upon Browns Corner Bar. Their Monday Special was a Rid-Eye with side salad and mashed potatoes for $10.00!!!
I ordered two beers, 1 MGD $3.00 1 Coors Light $2.50 .. The Beer was ice-cold and refreshing.
    2- Rid-Eyes specials 1 med-rare and 1 rare.  1 Order of zucchini sticks.
The salad was crisp fresh iceberg, purple cabbage, shredded carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, seasoned croutons and ranch dressing. It was great as a side salad and a large portion.
The Rib -eyes arrive cooked to order and I was quite surprised at the size, at least 12oz. They were tender and flavorful and for $10 what a steal! The rib eyes were cooked on a propane grill outside of the front door of the bar. Similar to what you would have at home.
The mashed potatoes were served with butter , sour cream and green onions, they were delicious.
I canceled the zucchini when my steaks arrived ahead of the appetizer, the server apologized and was pleasant about the situation.  The staff was generally busy but paid attention to the needs of the customers. They were friendly and I would defiantly recommend Browns for their Rib-Eye Special although it is not a regular menu item.
My total was $27.10 including tax.. 2 complete diners with drinks, salad and a side. Including the tip I was out the door for $31.00

This spot is interesting. Even though Woodland and Yolo area don't have many kick it spots to grab good drinks and enjoy a night with friends, this place definitely caters to the local crowd. The first time I went there, the server ignored us while she was busy flirting with some older guys (probably trying to work it for a bigger tip). Anyways as we sat there for 10 minutes with no greetings or menus, we finally went up to the bar and got the menus. As for the food it was decent fatty American cuisine. Based on the first time I would give this spot 1 star.
However, the last time I went here it was for a private birthday party, so it was all about the drinking. I loved that they carried Fireball Whiskey and the bartenders were awesome. It was cool that they didn't care how much we were drinking since they didn't cut  anyone off. I also enjoyed the jukebox selection, even though I didn't play much of what I typically would since the country folks aren't down with the dirty beats of EDM. Anyways, cool spot for private parties, but I will probably avoid coming here otherwise.

A few coworkers and I decided to go get a drink after work since we've been so beat up from work lately working 7 days a week.. Every day seems the same. We didn't really wanna go somewhere far, so one of them who actually lived in Woodland recommended this place. Woodland is a very small place.. There's about 2 bars around the area and he wanted to go to this one since his cousin worked at the other one.

We arrives here around 3PM and I was pretty surprised that there were quite a few other group there. We ended up getting around 5 pitcher of beer and some cocktails which all turned out great. The waitress was really nice and accommodating. The place is pretty nice.. There were 2 pool table an air hockey table. You have to get quarters to use those and pool runs for $1 a game. There was also like a juke box/ music machine where you get to choose what song you want to listen to.. Downside is that you have to pay $0.50 a song. If you're here alone grabbing a drink.. The tv is also on the sports channel to keep you occupy.

On to the food.. We ordered an order of beef nachos for $9... Kinda pricy.. It's just okay.. It's passable. My friend said the chicken nachos tasted better.. I'll probably try that next time. The hot wings were definitely good.. And cheap too. We got an order for only $4.. It's probably a special during that time cause the menu said it was $7-8. We also ordered a grilled chicken burger and also a grilled chicken sandwich that all turned out pretty good.

I definitely had a good time and would probably come back here again if we decided to go somewhere nearby work to grab a drink again after work before heading home.

I have tried Browns several times, giving them second chance after second chance.  I just can't do it anymore.  It appears that they attract every lowlife in one spot here. I had to tolerate the dude trying to make googly eyes at the missus, then try to brush by her, smelling of BO and ass.  Then there was the squealing barsexual group who actually had a squealing contest, then there was the waitress who kept forgetting we were there so I had to go to the bar to get my drinks - whats the point of having a waitress?  I prefer the Stag.

Well Brown's Corner finally reopened after about 7 months of renovations. The time off has definitely paid off. Brown's looks fantastic!

I've only been a hand full of times since its opening and was pretty much there just to drink. But from what I've seen it's all good. The menu didn't change much but I believe they added more food. Good bar food, jalapeno poppers is just one thing I happen to see that looked yummy after a pitcher of beer.
They also have a nice beer and wine selection now with your general run of the mill liquors. There are certain varieties of vodka that I would rather see over others, or just more of a selection of flavored vodkas but alas I am biased in that department.

They enlarged the bar so now it seats way more people. Bar tables are set up in the middle "bar" section. There is a dining area with wait staff. I've only looked in but it holds a lot of people which kind of makes for cramped quarters. The last room is a game room with two very nice pool tables, a shuffle board, and electronic dart board. All of which are in brand spankin new condition.

The whole place is littered with Sony Bravia flat screen TVs at least 4 in the bar area and one in the game room and eating area with various sports on.

Also I would hate to leave out the bathrooms. If you're someone who cares these are THE NICEST bar bathrooms I think I have ever seen. I'm just going to leave it at that but really its like the damn Ritz (OK that's stretching it but this bathroom makes other bar's bathrooms look like a roll of toilet paper in a back alley).

Edited to add: The food has been very good. And the service has definitely improved since the first few weeks. It's not on the menu but the Spicy Chicken sandwich was on special one day so I ordered it and it was fantastic! It's not like a regular spicy chicken its more like a buffalo style chicken.

ALSO! For all you Celiacs, as of July 17th Browns corner will be serving Gluten Free beer! Red Bridge! It's actually very tasty beer and I wanted to make sure to put it in my review for anyone out there in search of a bar that offers wheat free beer!

I was in there last weekend for the first time in a long time and it is really cute!  They have a whole new retro theme.  With a lot more games to play while you drink.  Not as many tables tho.

Finally a place close to Davis with BIG BUCK HUNTER!  Not only do they have the greatest bar game of all time, it's only $2.25 per game.  Beware, it's set on hard difficulty.  Friendly service, cheap beer, and good french fries makes for a perfect hunt!

so, i went in here with some hopes of a good bar burger! There was alot of great choices..... So i ordered a burger and a side salad... the salad came out first, and it looked so good and crisp! I was enjoying it until, i noticed something that doesn't belong in a salad! A DIRTY, DISGUSTING, LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE THREW IT IN THE MUD AND SPIT ON IT, BANDAGE! omg, now a hair i can understand, a bandage? what did the person not notice it was missing from their finger. It was terrible, i ran to the restroom and lost my stomach. came back to the table and the waitress came back in a hurry telling me that the cook said it wasn't him. COME ON! i don't care who it was, it shouldn't have happened. Left and have never been back.
