Have always gone to Brown Bag. the food is always amazing, the mini feast is enough for at LEAST two very hungry adults. and for 21$ i dont mind a lack of decor. i have grown up going here and the food is the focus. they keep the prices low, the cooking area is clean. they focus on take out cause dine in would mean decor, wait staff, and various other factors that would drive up the price. so keep the number in your phone, and have AMAZING home cooked BBQ for a low price. the sides aren't a big deal, but real BBQ never is about the sides anyway.

Hard to find store front and cash takeout only. Chicken BBQ sandwich had carbon chunks from the grill which gave it an off flavor. The sandwiches were good portions, but the beans seamed straight from the can.

Didn't confirm the hype with this experience......

Ok, Ok Now I know what some of the Yelpers have been saying now that I saw it for myself. Call adead for pick up- Yes. Cash ONLY- Yes. Dark and grimy decor- YES. Not a place to eat in- YES. BBQ that doesn't disappoint- YES!!!

Now, after all of that, this BBQ place is still delicious and sooooo worth the trip. Follow the advise of other reviews and call ahead for pickup. There are stools there but it's really just a store front take-out place. We decided to order the family special and got 2 full racks of ribs, half a chicken, onion rings, baked beans and slaw as the sides. The guy that took the order said it'd be ready in 15 min and we were off.

Food was hot and ready when we got there and packed in a box for us to grab and go. The onion rings were more like tumbleweed onions and were just lightly battered and fried. They were delish! and barely lasted the ride home. Ribs were fall-off-the-bone amazing! Chicken was flavorful and juicy! The sides were just ok. Regular baked beans- no additional flavors or pieces of ham or bacon in there, and the slaw was a bit odd at first glance. It's totally chopped up and almost smooth like a spread. Once you get over that and you taste it, it's good slaw. I'm thinking they make it that way so it's easier to get on your sandwiches if that's what you order.

We are definitely going there for BBQ again- and again, and again!!!

Dirty... Grungy... Larry the Cable Guy cooked my food... Not sure how it passes a health inspection... This equals great flavor... Inexpensive... Hole in the wall... Friendly service and a real treat.  Those that have discovered Brown Bag know about the best kept secret in South West Florida for BBQ.  If you haven't been here before YOU HAVE TO TRY IT TODAY!!!!!

When you first walk in, you know you're going to be in for a treat. I can't even explain the inside. Dark, dirty, and in an interesting neighborhood. Coupling the "ambiance" with the reviews, I was excited.

I'm not sure there were any tables inside. I took everyone's advice and just called ahead and placed an order. You can find a menu online. I think I found it at Urbanspoon. 20 minutes after my order I had my food in hand. It smelled amazing on the car ride home.

If I had one recommendation, it would be to forget everything else and just order the ribs. They were pretty good. I couldn't even pick them up without the meat just separating from the bone. The sauce was a little tangy and spicy. Very good.

The sides were forgettable. Soggy fries which were probably sitting in the Styrofoam for a while. Didn't bother me. The beans were OK. My girlfriend tried the pulled pork which I snuck a bite of. Not too bad.

Just get the ribs. You won't regret it.

Sometimes those little hole-in-the-wall places have the absolute best food.
This place is a perfect example.
Great bbq chicken sandwiches ($4.71) and ribs (full pound $12.75) and the best onion rings and cole slaw I've ever had!

Don't pack the kids in the car to eat here. Get the number and order over the phone, then go and pick up. Cash only.
Every person in the area raves about how great the food is here, and now I understand why,,,

For a hole in the wall bbq place this is as good as it gets. We got the Brown Bag Feast for pick-up. I didn't see the place but as it was described to me - it would only stay in business if the food is good.

For less than $35 - 2 lbs of tasty ribs without being covered in sauce, not too fatty, and pull right off the bone; whole bbq'd chicken - wow delicious and I'm not a huge chicken fan but I couldn't stop eating this - so moist and flavorful; baked beans - okay I'm not a big beans fan unless they are pork-free and ketchup-y these were more of a soup-y pork n beans; cole slaw very tasty just a little creamy cut very small; french fries I can't even remember but the kids ate them fast; the little cups of bbq sauce were delicious too - not too sweet. Four adults (not huge eaters) and two kids and plenty left over.

Best bbq I've had in Naples and I've been to three other places. Not to be missed if you like bbq and don't have a good another source where you live.

this morning i got a call from a friend about a sandwich.  i was just getting up and shaking off the night before when the phone rang. it was john. "hey want to go to brown bag for lunch?" i have heard of this place and even caught a glimpse in passing before but i had no idea of what i was really getting my self into.

15 minutes later john was over and we were on our way.  being that i live in naples park and the brown bag is in golden gate we had a little drive ahead of us but with the wall flowers on the radio and the beautiful south florida sun shining there was really not much to complain about. pulling up to the little 3 store strip there was no spots to park so we had to go one lot over. no biggy. i got out of the car and had a look around and noticed the brown bag is bookended between a few tiendas but does not look out of place at all.  then i got to the door. i had this nervous feeling in my gut, maybe we should have been listening to old metallica. upon entering, my first thought was, "whoa its dark in here, i cant see anything" but my eyes soon adjusted and i got a good look at the place. gulp. this is the kind of joint that really test your manhood, like there is a sissy trap one the menu, if you order the wrong thing every one will know.

with only a little counter and a hand full of stools john and i bellied up. john, having grown up in the area knew exactly what he wanted and ordered from the hip with no hesitation. the burly cook/server wrote down his order and then at a speed that felt like slow motion looked at me and asked, "hhhoooww aaabbboouuttt yyoouu" but my eyes and brain were fixed on the huge sharks tooth hanging from his neck which i am sure he pried from jaws's dying mouth. having not looked at the menu and knowing it was far to late to peruse i simply said "i'll have the same".

the food came fast. lucky for me john had ordered him self a bbq pork sandwich with a side of slaw and baked beans. having come of age in north carolina i know just how to handle bbq pork, so i dumped my slaw all over the sandwich and began to dig in. thats when john turned around and helped him self to a soda out of the cooler that lined the wall behind us. i followed suet and got my self a mt due.

as i finished my lunch i had some time to really take in the room. "this place is a dump!" i am not sure if the smoke stains on the walls and everything hanging on them are from bbq smoke or a time when cigarette smoke still happened in restaurants. there seamed to be a layer of grilled rib soot on everything in the kitchen. more flavor? all this brought up a question, "is there a clause in the health code that says the better the bbq the less the code matters?" this place was so good. and so dirty.

real talk: if this place were in my neighborhood i would eat here 4 times a week. i would always ordered what john was having and i would never mind the mess. oh and i would also always have some money on me because its cash only.

Great food from a small basic restaurant. Not very fancy don't let the appearance fool you. I ate there once just to experience.  Tip, program the number to arrange for pick up.  They make excellent chicken, pork, ribs.

Luckily I live near this wonderful BBQ spot. The chicken is fabulous, but the ribs are truly outstanding. We always treat out of town guests to this place...

Excellent food!  Dont be put off by the size of the place.  You can eat in but most people seem to call ahead and pick up for carry out.  Great BBQ!  CASH ONLY

As described above, dirty place, employees in sleeveless sweaty dirty shirts. Fries are standard crinkle cut fast food type. The onion rings were very good and homemade. Slaw was mascerated ground yuck. The ribs were tasty but over cooked (that's why they fall off the bone folks). Good smokiness to them and lightly sauced with Cattleman's BBQ sauce. Come on guys, clean the place up before an inspector shuts you down.
