Kim is the creme of the crop.

I have thick eyebrows that I love and HATE to have thinned out. Benefit Brow Bar did just that twice and then offered their Brow Kit for $30 to help cover the sparse areas. I was so angry, I never had sparse areas before I went there!

I remembered my mother had Kim's card so I went on http://Browlick.com to nose about. I liked what I saw and read, made an appointment and now I'm never going anywhere else. Kim has finesse and a high standard so I know I'm always going to get the best and come out looking absolutely faaaabulous when I go there!

I guess I caught her on bad day. I left her studio with badly ripped eyebrows plus the brows were completely straight! (ew) I have thick brows naturally and enjoy my arch (which she usually acknowledges)...but, I got home and they were on the verge of bleeding and U-G-L-Y.

I think I'm just upset because I've gone to her for years even giving her shout outs if/when my friends needed a wax. After years of going to someone, you shouldn't have to drive back to her studio crying and then get asked "what do you want?" Please don't ask me what I want after dozens of appts.

I'm giving her two-stars because she did refund my money and profusely apologized for my ripped skin. I just wouldn't (for good reason) return to Browlick.

Total bitch who returns emails of potential clients in the middle of the night, and in the rudest tone possible -  clearly drunk.

And, I might add, A STUPID BITCH.  Cause I'm a HAIRY BITCH who drops about $100 or so every three weeks or so smoothing and manicuring myself into a lady from a near sasquatch.

You're not that good sweetie - grow the fuck up.

Browlick is pretty much the bomb.

I think people who were looking for a traditional salon experience spur a lot of the negative reviews on Yelp for this place.  If you're looking for a fountain in the lobby, sea green tiled rooms and "relaxing" ocean noises, you won't get it here.  It also isn't a traditional upscale salon with designer mirrors, black leather swivel chairs, and stylists of indeterminate origin calling you "dahling."

Kim knows what she's doing.  I'm by no means an eyebrow aficionado (because, seriously, anybody who calls themselves that probably needs a hobby) but I don't understand why people get all huffy about Kim asking what you want done with your brows before she does her thing.  I disagree with the assumption that the stylist should somehow automatically know what to do with your eyebrows by looking at your face.  I mean, come on.  You're getting your brows did, not getting a psychic consultation.   And while there may be certain kinds of eyebrows that don't look good on certain individuals, that doesn't mean that you can't have a preference on thick vs. thin, natural vs. arched, a curved arch vs. a pointed one, etc.

I also liked the fact that the lady took her time when dealing with my face.  Pretty much the only negative I have with the whole experience is that it is a little more expensive than I normally shell out for a brow waxing, but you do get your money's worth of Kim's time.  She spent more time on my brows than probably any other stylist I've gone to, and my formerly shapeless brows look hot.  She takes her time, she's professional, she's friendly, and you'll look good when you leave.  What else could you want?

If you really want to get maximum bang for your buck, I suggest also stepping up for the lip and chin treatment when you get your brows done.  The brows are a little steep, but lip and chin are only 5 dollars each, so you can get your entire face done for 35, which is pretty standard - and Kim's skills are far superior as compared to what I've gotten at other places.  Her Brazilians are surprisingly inexpensive  - I'll likely be booking a trip to Rio with Kim when the time comes.

    Highly recommended.

I waited to try her services for the third time before I shared my experience.

Kim takes her job very seriously. She is an eyebrow artist.

I have the hardest eyebrows to shape and I have tried everything. Threading, sugaring, waxing and no one has ever been able to give my squared and boxy eyebrows any shape.

But Kim has succeeded. She gave me not only an arch but a nice shape that complements my face shape.

She takes her time shaping and molding your eyebrows to go with your face shape, she discusses a plan of action with you before tackling your eyebrows, and she take at least 45 mins to take care of your eyebrows.

I appreciate her dedication and time and her taking eyebrow waxing like an art.

Due to the limitations of ASCII characters you really can't tell that my unibrow is also lopsided and that my new brows are sleek and beautiful...even if my face still demands them to be lopsided.

    My brows look AMAZING.

Kim (owner/operator) is a meticulous esthetician.

She spent a good chunk of time laying out the lines for the wax BEFORE she got to yanking.  The result is a pair of polished, even, not too thin, not too thick, perfectly arched brows.

She also handled my Brazilian wax with the same attention to detail (go on, chuckle but that is an area that I expect to be treated with respect).

For some reason, this wax didn't hurt as much as my last one (at Wax On).

I don't know if it was the wax or the prep.  I don't really care.  I'm smooth and happy.

Now, here's the part that makes me super giddy:

    Brows: $20.
    Brazilian: $40

Kim is available on Mondays and Saturdays and is cool enough to try to accommodate your schedule.  She even books late appointments.

Tell her Victoria sent you.  I promised her that I'd tell everyone I could about her.

OMG, my eyebrows look so HAWT!  For the first time ever, I actually have an arch in them.  All the other waxers tend to just make a straight line with my brows.  Not Kim though!  She knows how to shape them into perfection (she even outlines them on your face before putting the wax on).

I felt relaxed and comfortable in her sunny little studio on Madison.  The prices are reasonable ($50 for a Brazilian, $25 for brows) and she really takes her time to make sure it's done right.

I have had three people tell me that my eyebrows look uneven today after having my brows waxed at Browlick yesterday.

+ for being flexible with scheduling and having times after work.
+ for taking her time and not rushing.
    - for whining the entire 45 minutes I was getting my brows waxed.
    - for giving me two differently shaped, differently arched, and differently sized brows.
    - for being rude, unprofessional, and harrassing me via text and phone calls after leaving a review.
    - for badmouthing other estheticians in the area (and lying in your owner comment).

I love Kim + Browlick for a number of reasons.

I initially started seeing her for my brows (both wax and tint) about 5 or 6 months ago and have been seeing her regularly ever since. She is totally meticulous and has made a plan for my brows from the beginning. I have only had one other waxer who discussed my brow aspirations with me, way back when I lived in Chicago. In my mind, it is no less serious than getting a cut and color and I want to know what I am getting in to!

Kim has always done an amazing job on my brows and when I mentioned I was thinking about doing some err, other waxing for my trip to Hawaii, she convinced me to go for it. No messing around, I committed to a Brazilian and have been hooked ever since. (I will refrain from talking about all the reasons why here, other than easy upkeep)

In addition to her superior waxing skills, I like the way Kim interacts with me while I am in her studio. Super relaxed, straightforward and conversational, she distracts me from the unfortunate business without making me feel coddled. Interactions with her feel more friendly and less forced than many I have had with other salon/spa workers.

Her studio is aesthetically appealing to me, and is spacious and soothing. (also, no smooth jazz or whale sounds! yes!) If I were ever early for an appointment I would be delighted to spend a little time catching up on my gossip mags in her waiting area.

Lastly, one of my favorite things about Kim, and I believe the reason I actually remember to make regular appointments is the fact that I can text with her regarding scheduling. She also sends out reminders a day or two in advance. Really convenient considering my phone phobia.

Thanks for taking me to Brazil. It's really been life altering.

I have a unibrow that I've been plucking since the age of 11. Once, I went to a salon and after the waxing I pointed out that my eyebrows were NOT symetrical. The waxer told me in a thick russian accent, that trying to make them symetrical was I quote "like trying to make a circle out of a square."

But clearly Kim understands that brows are not all alike, even the two on your face may be different from one another.

I've also had her do the "downtown" area and although the pain was very intense the first time, Kim made me feel very comfortable. She is an absolute pro--and as stupid as it sounds to go to the cheapest place I can find for a brazilian, I'm sure Kim does just as good of a job as a fancy salon downtown.

The first time you work with Kim you'll know that she's got brows down better than anyone who's ever put wax on your face... or anywhere else for that matter.

You will thank yourself.  The people around you will thank you--you will look that good.  Kim might thank you, but you need her more than she needs you.

    [ ahem ]

This is like my first five star review ever. [ cough cough ] and I am more than confident to give it to Kim ! ( major heart )

I've always wanted my brows shaped mind you, not just waxed, but shaped and Kim did an absolutely amazing job! She has transformed me from pooh bear blah boring Asian eyebrows to oooo look at me now!

I came in early, and Kim was nice enough to start my appointment early. She was super friendly and super professional. She did everything fantastically.

It was also my first time doing a brazilian (for such an abso-fucking-mazing price) and she made it the best experience (no! not like that!) ever! She was super patient, calm, understanding and you know - every nice, helpful adjective they have in the dictionary.

P.s. I know that before and after photos of my ugly but now beautiful brows would probably be very convincing. Unfortunately, I don't have any. :( So you'll just have to take the word of 10+ 5 star yelpers and believe that Kim is bloody amazing.

It was my first trip to Brazil... i was nervous. VERY nervous. I let Kim know JUST how nervous i was. She did ALL in her power to make it the most AMAZING experience for me!

Let me tell you, ladies (and men!)... a Brazilian isn't something you can trust just anybody to do... so of course i did my research on who i was going to allow to take me to this unchartered territory for my maiden voyage. After stumbling across Browlick on Yelp!, i saw that she had my two prerequisites: 1) highly recommended 2) cheap (but still extremely professional and clean)

i was very pleased. VERY pleased. The place was amazing. Kim was amazing. She knew i was nervous (and a big wuss when it comes to pain ) and did all in her power to make it the most amazing and comfortable (as can be when you're ripping hairs out by the root) for me as possible. i thought it would be totally awkward, but she was so laid back and chill, that i felt like i was in there with a friend i've known for years!

i am DEFINITELY recommending this place to my friends, and booking appointments a month in advance to be sure i get in. hurry ladies -- i am certain her appointment calendar will be full once people start finding out about this secret hot spot!

thank you, KIM! see you soon to tackle my brows and round two of Brazil!!

I wasn't sure what to expect walking into Browlick which seems to be a condo turned waxing studio since I have been accustomed to the bigger salon experiences, but Kim did a great job giving it a business studio feel with the bonus of lots of great new magazines to read while waiting though.

She also did an awesome job on my eyebrows! She did a meticulous job making them look rich, clean, and fitting for my face. As for her own business flair, I found her to be a bit unprofessional... I guess it was the repeated attempt to up-sell me more waxing while there and the payment part that really annoyed me. Handing her my cash and watching her pocket it all assuming the extra was a tip without asking first. I almost planned a haughty little yelp review with an average-at best star rating due to my annoyance......but after getting home I am realizing I am loving them more each day. Overall, I will probably stick to a larger salon since I prefer to feel like a customer and not an awkward friend in a fight.

I've seen Kim a couple of times now and have had great experiences both times.  Her studio is clean, cute, and comfortable.  She plays good music.  She makes me feel welcome.

Those things are all great... but my brows!  HOT.  I don't think I knew what a difference a good brow wax could make. I am lucky to be blessed with relatively decent brows au natural, but this is like a whole new world.

One of the things I like best about my experience with Kim is that she asked me about my preferences.  When I said I was generally happy with my brow shape, she didn't go and declare war on what was there.  No super thin, peak-arched brows (though I'm sure she could rock that look if it's your style).  The result is much perfect for me.

I also had my armpits and bikini waxed, and she is very fast while also being precise.

It's been too long since I last saw Kim.  I'm finally revisiting her after my boyfriend remarked that hers was the ONLY wax (out of dozens) he noticed and, needless to say, the best.

    ---

Kim is an artist.  When she's done with you, your brows will be beautiful, natural, and NOT cookie-cutter crap.  I purposefully grew out my brows in anticipation for the work she'd do.  It was worth the trek my boyfriend and I made to the CD on a typical rainy Seattle day while I was feeling all kinds of cold-season miserable on my weekend-long visit to WA.

She makes you feel so at ease in her spa-like setup, with the secluded room and comfy facial bed.  When she was done she asked, 'the mustache, too?'  Reminded me of my big sis :)  My only complaint is that Kim doesn't have a twin, limiting my visits to her to my sporadic trips to the UW.  Please consider moving to California!

How do you spell eyebrow savior? K-I-M

I used to get my eyebrows threaded and while that yields amazing results, it's too far out of the way to drive...even if it only costs me $6.

Kim has a cute little studio where her majesty is the queen of eyebrows. Don't let some of these negative reviews have you second guessing her skills. If she asks you how you want your brows its because some people prefer em thick and some like it thin. She's doing her due diligence to make sure you leave a happy customer.

If you come in with razor thin eyebrows and expect her to work some magic and grow you a new pair of brows, then you're being unrealistic. Grow out your stuff, come in and get hooked up. If you can't wait weeks to grow it out, come in, have her shape you up, and keep coming back for her brow therapy.

I love that she has stepped her game up in this technology driven society and texts you the day before with your appointment time.

She is professional and clean. I never felt like she was tearing my eyelids off. Her waxing was actually rather gentle in comparison to some other places I've been.

Wax on, wax off baby. Browlick is the place to get your brows did.

Fantastic waxer. Easy to talk to, fast, and thorough. If you're newer to brazilians, know that she's not the type to do itsy-bitsy sections and hold your hand while you cry - but c'mon. You're ripping hair out with wax. Of course there's pain - better to get it over faster than sensitize the skin by doing tiny bits.

I can also vouch for her amazing eyebrow taming skills, which includes the ability to work the bushiest of male eyebrows into something more manageable but still manly. I'm taking my honey in there every few weeks, whether he thinks he needs it or not.

Eyebrows are a work of art- they can take time to re-grow them into perfection- but Kim got me very close on my first visit. My sister even said they they look "obnoxiously perfect." I live in San Diego now, but will schedule my brow wax for when I come back to Seattle- just for Kim.

Excellent work & great prices. Flexible with appointment times too. I live across the street so it's not a commute for me, but the neighborhood is an easy place to find street parking if you're travelling from elsewhere (and, of course, easy to walk/bike/bus to from capitol hill or elsewhere).

If you're tired of paying lots to get waxed but don't want to risk yourself to students, browlick's what you need.

I've been going to Kim for the better part of a year now and I have nothing but good things to say. When I first moved to Seattle, I was in dire need of finding a good brow wax, I tried Gene Juarez for a while(big mistake) and then finally found Browlick.

Everytime I've see her (every 3-4 weeks) she takes her time shaping my brows and does a great job. My brows look fuller and natural, unlike the crazy over waxing at Gene Juarez.

Kim herself is great. The conversation always friendly and easy going. I also love that she texts a reminder the day before your appointment. The only drawback I can think of is that its cash only, but for me that's very minor sine I come out with fantastic brows :)

Update: Well over a year and a half later and I'm still coming here. Why? Because Kim consistently goes above and beyond...and she's kickass and mom-friendly.

Note/Edit: I'm just adding that Browlick is cash-only. I forget almost every single time and end up having to run to the ATM before every appointment (I should just remember). So...FYI...cash only.

Just got back from getting an awesome suite of waxing services from Kim at Browlick. My brows were in bad shape (2 months of inconsistent tweezing after years of over-waxing) and she took the time to find the right shape for me. She was confident and I felt totally comfortable leaving all my stray hair to her to take care of. Also got a Brazilian which she handled professionally and quickly. Great prices and great service. I like the feel of her space - light and quiet considering the place is right on Union.

She was very responsive in email, easy to work with on schedule/time and I appreciated the email reminder the day before my appointment.

I'll be recommending her services to friends and going back for my monthly treatments!

She waxed my 'stache (oh the joys of getting older ) and chinny-chin-chin lightning quick and did a great job. Next stop-- Brazil! Summer's on the way and now I have a waxing-girl so I'm gonna go for it. And I'm sending all my clients to her for waxing now. This corner of 25th and E. My sparse, yet wild eyebrows don't have a chance against Kim's mad skills.  They look so good after she works her magic on them.  She is able to create shape to them without making them razor thin which previous non-skilled individuals would do to my brows.  And, it doesn't even hurt!

Kim takes her time to get the job done right and pay attention to details.  This is unlike random salons who just squeeze you in and try to get done as fast as possible to move on to the next person.  The environment is calm and relaxing.  Kim is pleasant and nice which adds to the experience.

If you don't want to hide behind your hair or hats to cover those crazy brows, Browlick is definitely the place to go.

Her brow prices are a bit higher than most but let me tell you she should be charging even more for her mad skills.  The first time I went to her I was planning on a Brazilian only.  As we were waiting for the wax to heat up she offered to do my brows...now I love my eyebrows.  I have plucked them myself for as long as I remember and I get compliments on them quite often, which is weird cause they are eyebrows.  I was hesitant to let her touch them, but I agreed and boy am I glad I did.  If I thought I had awesome brows when I went in, I must have the best brows ever now!

I've been going to Browlick for about 5 months now, for brows and brazilian.  I was very nervous about finding a good place to go for my waxing needs and I picked Browlick solely based on Yelp reviews, so Thank You Yelp!!

Kim has totally lived up to all the fantastic reviews.  She is just chatty enough and she explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it.  The first time she did my brazilian, Woah it effing hurt like no other.  Kim noted that it was from years of shaving and the subsequent visits would not be nearly as painful - and she was completely right.  Now when I get waxed, it's very quick and, while it still hurts, it's not as bad as that first time.  She puts jojoba oil on prior to waxing, which I believe helps to prevent the wax from sticking to the skin.  Never any ingrown hairs or red bumps.

My favorite thing about going to Browlick is how much my brows have improved.  Kim takes her time waxing them and it really shows.  Mine now have a great shape and arch, and as time goes on, they just keep looking better and better.

Plenty of street parking.  Appointment only.  Cash only.

I was recommended to Kim by family and decided to get my first brazilian done by her.  She did an great job with 1) making the situation less awkward, and 2) doing an awesome job down there.  $60 for a brazilian?!? Where else would you get that type of deal?

I am an eyebrow aficionado. A good eyebrow artist will shape your eyebrows into the correct arch that complements your face and bone structure. Kim is no such expert.

I would say that Kim's eyebrow wax was average at best. First, you should never have to be asked when you sit down for an eyebrow wax "So what kind of arch do you want?"  Eyebrow shaping is not like a haircut folks- it's not like you ask for a bob in one appt and then decide in your next appt that you want something different and you'll go with highlights. An expert should take one look of at your face, do a couple quick measurements and have an solid idea of the arch that best suits you. I've never been asked what kind of arch I wanted- it clearly shows Kim doesn't know what she's doing. Second, her eyebrow shaping took forever... I think it took about 45-50 min. I've had my my eyebrows waxed/tweezed by some of the best artists in the industry in L.A. and NYC and it's never taken more than 25 min which would include make-up application. I think the time it took couple with the mediocre results reflect that she's really not an expert and needs to gets more training before she can open a studio that specializes in eyebrows.

But what earned the 1-star rating was her really poor bedside manner and her horrible attitude. I spent my 1.5 hr appt listening to her complain about everything-- from how she hates seattle and all seattlites, to how hard it is to be a business owner, the list went on and on. When I left, my impression was that she was the most hateful, angry woman I had  ever met and I was pretty turned off that I had just paid to listen to her drone on and on about everything she hates in life.

I also should mention that I got a brazilian from Kim in the same appt and it was the most painful brazilian I have ever gotten. It wasn't unbearably painful but it was VERY apparent that she didn't have enough experience in how to pull off the strips with enough quickness and finesse in order to reduce the pain.

In short, don't believe the other reviews and find another place to go get waxed.

I heard great things about Browlick and couldn't wait to go check it out.  I hear she's great at brows (although I didn't stick around long enough to find out).  She's rude and unprofessional.  No recommendation from me.

I thought I had sparse brows and wouldn't have much to take off, but I was wrong! Kim said that I definitely had brows that needed waxing. I had always gotten mine done at whatever hair salon I went to and am now thinking that asian brows might be different like asian hair. I've never given my brows much thought, but I love them! I can't stop looking at them! They now have definition. I have the lightest brows ever and somehow, the way she shaped them makes them look darker, like I actually have eyebrows. They were only red for about a minute, I don't know what she did, but anywhere else I've ever gotten them, my brows have been bright red and blotchy for at least an hour (which meant I could never have plans after an appointment).

She's amazing and real. Great prices, easy parking. I will definitely be back.

This lady is dope (Kim). Shes nice to chat with, and she is a brow guru! She is trained by Anastasia...which is exactly what i was looking for. The brazilians are hands down the cheapest in Seattle without it being sketchy. Shes clean/simple and usually plays good music during the session. Cash Only though... And only works 2 days/week.

Despite the name and Kim's expertise in brow waxing, I went to Browlick for a bikini and lip wax not thinking my brows needed work. Wrong. With a few flicks of the wrist my brows look great and are well on their way to being perfect. The space is cute, clean and contemporary without that contrived spa look. Kim is also cute and contemporary and quite frankly, a real breath of fresh air.

I really wish that I'd had the forethought to take a "Before" picture, because the "After" is miles and miles away from the scary eyebrows that were attacking my face before Browlick. My brows came out of Kim's salon looking natural & sleek. I will absolutely be back!

Kim is the best! For years I tweezed my brows trying to make them look thin and symmetrical and I always failed. I have Kim to thank for bringing them back to life! I've been going to her for over a year now and will never let anyone else touch my brows. She is truly an expert and I always look forward to my appointments...she's funny, easy to talk to and is extremely accommodating about scheduling.

Needless to say, I highly recommend Browlick! You will not regret it!

I have been going to see Kim for about 6 months.  The difference in my brows was amazing from the beginning.  Even after months of taming, the improvement is visible after each appointment.

Kim did a great job on my brazillian, and was chatty and confident through the whole thing. This was the cheapest, fastest wax I've ever had, and she left me with no stragglers! I'll def recommend her to my hairy peeps.
