We found Brower through the State Fair where they offered us a free heating and air conditioning check up to see if we were eligible for state and utility company programs. They came out and ran the most comprehensive set of tests measuring the loss of heat, leaks for air to get into the house, Flow of air through our ducts and heading system, and used infrared cameras to find air leaks. It was amazing.
Our house is not old, it was built about 7 years ago as a tract home but unfortunately with very sloppy workmanship. Brower re-ran all of our ducts placing them on the attic floor instead of up in the air where they would get hot or cold. They sealed all of the holes in our attic causing heat to be lost. They added an additional intake vent to improve the flow of air through our system, and they buried all of our vents in foam insulation that they shot all over the attic.
Today, we have had some very cool nights and our heater hardly ever goes on compared to hearing it run constantly before they did their magic. Several of the rooms upstairs were freezing and are now comfortable.
Even more amazing were Brower's people. The salesman was a professional and never acted like a salesman. He helped us understand what was happening and why what they proposed would improve the heating and air. The office staff were excellent, and every single person who came out to do the work was just amazing in terms of their expertise and politeness and dedication to doing a great job and making us happy customers.

I loved my experience with this company. When I called in they explained the whole process very well and I always knew what to expect. The technician was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I had a repair that needed to be made and they even called to tell me when the part was ordered. I used them for my air conditioner repairs, but I understand that they also do solar work and have very green products. I would highly recommend them to everyone!!

Bait and switch. I waited three weeks for the Roseville rebate program to begin so that I could have a free energy audit done on my house. I was told by Keith that they would come in with their infrared camera, blower door test, HVAC evaluation, look over my past 12 months of energy bills and give me a thorough energy efficiency report so that I could take advantage of the rebates and make informed decisions on where to spend my money. when their consultant showed up he says he is here to give me a quote for a full HVAC package that runs about 14-16k. I said what about the energy audit? Oh that's not free and Roseville doesn't pay us enough to make it worth our "office" time. If you want that it's $199. What a scam. I have no problem on them trying to earn work but to blatantly lie to get their foot in the door is plain wrong. I would stay clear.

We recently utilized Brower Mechanical for the installation of a replacement central air conditioning system including exchange ducting coming from the heating unit in the attic.
I normally prefer to use local companies for this type of work and I was not disappointed in this fine organization. From the initial inspection and estimate, through the work process and during follow up I found their staff to be neat, courteous, professional and well informed.
During the install which took less than a day, the staff members put down floor liners and covers to keep mess at a minimum. Very much appreciated by my wife.
When we had an issue with less than cool temperatures after install an appointment was immediately scheduled for the same day at which point the issue was immediately resolved.
I would highly recommend Brower Mechanical if you live in the area and need heating, air conditioning or refrigeration work done. -

Wow. HVAC excellence. I turned on my AC last night and hot air came out. It's 100 degrees outside and its fast approaching 100 degrees inside. Not knowing who to pick from when looking at the long list of HVAC providers, i called a friend who recommended Brower Mechanical. I called them up and they had someone there; probably one of their best and coolest engineers, Josh, show up right on time the next morning.
Josh diagnosed the problem right away after looking at my heater (electric heat pump) and seeing that my thermostat was a gas heater thermostat. Big problem. The thermostat was telling the heater to turn on and the AC was being completely neglected. This was diagnosed in about 2 minutes. Just to be safe, Josh went outside to check the AC compressor and found that the freon levels were fine.
Additionally, he advised me to insulate the cooling line from the compressor to the house. Good call! Lastly, I told him about a problem I was having with air circulation and he recommended a solution that would allow me to regulate the flow of air in each room. I even picked up some tips on installing more energy efficient windows to save money! Josh was definitely efficient and knowledgeable.
When I called Brower, the ladies on the phone were very friendly and courteous. This has definitely been my best experience working with a contractor to fix a problem on the house. I would and will reccommend Brower Mechanical to anyone who needs HVAC work.Listed in: My Neighborhood
