I've been to Brow Bar twice & saw Jasmin both times. For the first time in a long-time  my eyebrows are as symmetrical as they can possibly be.

I've never seen any other waxer or threader at the Brow Bar during either of my visits. After reading the other reviews I might be hesitant to hand my brows over to anyone except Jasmin! However, at this point I'm extremely happy & highly recommend giving it a chance.

A Tale of Two Brow Artists. By a person who isn't really obsessed with her brows except for the times she is.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of beautiful arches, it was the age of destroyed brows ....

I've been to Brow Bar approximately five times over the course of a year. Some walk-ins, some appointments.
Visit #1 - Brow wax by Jasmin. My naturally semi-bald, uneven brows look pretty stellar.
Visit #2 - Brow wax by the other esthetician. She seemed really nervous? And the wax? Wasn't all that great? But also not terrible?
Visit #3 - Brow wax by Jasmin. Girl, my brows looked BANGIN'! Didn't even know brows could look that good.
Visit #4 - Brow THREADING by the other esthetician. And disaster ensues.

Threading vs. waxing aside (it's a personal choice, but they will try to get you threaded every single time), she did an awful job. Uneven brows. I expressly told her not to make them too thin and they were thin near the nose, thick at the arch and super thin at the outer corners. What? Also, I now have what appears to be a permanent bald spot in my right brow. Awesome. And I had to do a lot of cleanup on strays when I got home.

Visit #5 - Brow threading by Jasmin. Somehow she made it all better and turned the wonkiness around. Although it will take awhile for them to grow out to my liking, Jasmin did a super excellent job of listening and clarifying what I wanted, and generally making up for some of the previous dissatisfaction. Each and every time she has displayed a crazy attention to detail on my brows. If this review was just for Jasmin (who told me she works every day but Sunday), it would be 5 stars. If this review was just for the other esthetician, I'd say tweeze yourself.

Moral of the story? JASMIN. and Jasmin only.

good: really cute place, my eyebrows looked great!, easy parking and good location, the water or whatever they use to clean your brows feels and smells really good, like they made it themselves.

bad: they used actual sewing thread instead of the beauty thread, so the hairs just broke instead of getting pulled out. good and bad because my skin wasn't red after threading like usual but it hurt more. also she plucked AND threaded which is not good for your brows. I didn't look too hard but I didn't see any esthetician licenses on display which I prefer to see.  not a very high end experience, the woman at the counter was yelling at someone on the phone (a personal call) and then her phone kept going off (it wasn't on silent).

I'd give it another try. they could be a really great place with some small changes. the location is good.

Jasmin is amazing! I love love love her. Her work speaks for itself. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She is my new indivisual lash tech and soon to be brow tech (whenever I muster up the courage to get them threaded) I am oh so happy that I found her.Oh yeah Brow Bar currently has a 10% off check in deal through Yelp.

I came here to get my eyebrows threaded and the organic facial using coupons I'd purchased on LivingSocial.

Jasmin performed both the eyebrow threading and the facial.  I have naturally full brows and after Jasmin was finished, I still had naturally full brows that were much cleaner around the edges - not a wavy strand sticking out of place.

I can't explain every detail of the facial but when it was over, I looked pretty awesome (especially considering that I was tired from a late night at DragonCon the night before).  My skin was steamed, and Jasmin performed a few extractions (thank goodness it was only a few because that stuff hurts).  She also applied a creamy mask that smelled deliciously of bananas and chocolate.  (All of their facial products are organic; Jasmin told me the product line but I can't remember...boo on me).  After all the work was done, my skin had a fresh-scrubbed glow that I wish I could duplicate at home.

Jasmin and I talked alot about different product lines and skin care habits.  I really enjoyed chatting with someone who had tried some of the products I'd used and getting her opinion on some things I hadn't considered before.

I'll definitely return to Brow Bar for another round of eyebrow threading and facial loving.

P.S.  And although I went on a Saturday afternoon, there was plenty of free street parking.  Yay!

Ive been here maybe a half dozen times.  Ive worked with three different artists.  The first time I went it was as a walk-in and the paired me up with a young woman.  She was nice as ever but WAY too scattered and nervous for me.  She would apologize constantly and as each apology slipped out my confidence in her ability to thread went down.  I now make a point to call first and schedule with anyone but her. Her performance was okay.  When I got home I had to clean up a lot more then I normally would.

The next artist I used is sadly no longer there.  I think she had a baby.  She did a GREAT job!!

Finally, I now see Jasmin.  This is a very meticulous woman! I love that about her.  My brows are exactly the way I like them and I dont have to do any cleaning up when I get home.  I love the price!  and the atmosphere.  I hear the facials are great and would like to try one one day.

I'll be short and to the point. Brow Bar has the right aesthetic but don't be fooled.
This is NOT the salon for a Brazilian wax.

I really hate being negative, but I feel that I need to put out a warning about this place...I decided to try out this place because I couldn't get in at my normal place down the street(Wax).

I cannot begin to describe how terrible my experience here was...I went in for a Brazilian wax and left in pain, hard wax still on me, and in tears. In addition, I did end up having to go to my gyno after this due to painful irritation and did have an infection!!

My aesthetician was not properly trained and should have never been allowed to perform a Brazilian. I have been getting these for years and have never experienced something so demeaning and painful. Also, considering I had an infection, I would suspect that they do double dip their wax! My advice is to save yourself and go anywhere BUT here!

In addition, the waxing rooms are VERY small and ackwardly laid out...for full details I am copying the original email I sent the manager/owner about my experience, and in all fairness, they offered to provide a refund...but it took a doctors visit plus about a month to recover from this! I don't think a waxing should cause a trip to your doc!!

    ********
I am sorry I couldn't speak with you in person but quite frankly I was afraid of loosing my composure in front of a lobby full of people; I was on the verge of crying.I have been getting brazilians for years and have had some amazing aestheticians and a few bad ones...The aesthetician that I had SHOULD NOT be allowed to perform hard waxing; she isn't properly trained. I have never been through a more painful "waxing." Her methods and actual approach to waxing is completely foreign from anything I've experienced before.

As I sit here writing this, I am covered in hard wax pieces AND stray hairs that she "couldn't get." When I asked why there is wax still on me, she merely stated it would come off... When I expressed displeasure at this explanation, she tried to touch my vagina to remove the wax with UNGLOVED hands!!! She was going to pick it off with her nails...I had to tell her no!

In addition, I think it is very inappropriate for someone to blow on your vagina to dry wax...this made me beyond uncomfortable. Not to mention, she was leaning down to the point that her face was basically in my vagina..only a few inchs away. In addition, I have NEVER had an aesthetician that will stay in the room with you while you dress and undress....

I did have a nice little cry on the way home and have never been made to feel this way after a beauty service...I feel disgusting and quite frankly defiled. You do a great job in front of house, but I cannot return or recommend you to others if that is the best you have on staff...I am only sorry I was unable to talk to you afterwards, because I shouldn't have paid for this service.

I came by here when I was walking around the area, and just popped in to see what they offer. I had long wanted to do something with my untamed brows, but couldn't do a wax because of Retin-A. I short wait before they took me to a chair to get my brows threaded. It hurt way more than I thought it would and I was left with tears in my eyes. I was afraid I would start involuntarily crying, but thankfully it didn't happen.

She did a really great job shaping them. She even got some scant hairs above my nose so I guess I had a blonde barely-there unibrow going on, and I didn't even know it. It was reasonably priced and they have a punch card for future services. I will likely come back when they start getting unruly again.

My first time at Brow Bar was a great experience. Parking is a snap--you can park for free on the street or in the deck. The salon is small but feels spacious and relaxing. I was seen promptly at my appointment time. Jasmin did my brows (threading and plucking) and she did an excellent job. She even gave me some tips on how achieve a natural look with brow powder. It took just a few minutes and the price was CHEAP! I'm still admiring my brows several days later. It's amazing what such a simple service can do to enhance your look.

The only other place I have to compare this to is Jameson Shaw, where I had my brows threaded a while ago. There's no comparison. Jasmin blew the Jameson Shaw lady out of the water on results, her service was way cheaper. AND the solution she used on my skin actually soothed it rather than irritating it.

Definitely check this place out. They also sell gorgeous Indian woolen silk scarves in the lobby for cheap.  I'm going back soon, so you'd better get there before I buy them all up.

So I'm a dude and I'm always scared to let anyone do anything to my eyebrows. I go about every three weeks to get my brows cleaned up and have yet to be disappointed. Jasmine is absolutely wonderful and always does an excellent job.

Way better than waxing. Usually they'll have you out of there in less than 10 minutes.

Love these new neighbors of mine!
    Stopped in today.

The space is very pretty, with a light & airy feel.
Brother & sister owners, Fahad & Sadaf were warm & welcoming.

Had brows & upper lip threaded.
Heidi was great, professional, confident and warm & friendly.

Get in before the 9th of January to take advantage of Grand Opening Specials, though their rates are great anyway.

Every time I have been here Jasmin has done my eyebrow threading. It hurts a good bit, but she gets both of my eyebrows (which grow in different lengths) to match up perfectly and they look great. I always ask for a clean up because my eyebrows are about as thin as I'd like them to be.

It is a little bit more expensive ($12 versus $8) than this place in EAV that all of my friends go to, but almost all of them have gotten their eyebrows messed up and decided not to go back. I'll pay the extra $4 to keep my eyebrows looking nice.

A friend of mine gets her brazilians here and she said her experience with Jasmin was so much better than her experience getting a brazilian at Mint salon. It was better priced and the wax was much more soothing. She also said Jasmin did not miss any spots, unlike the woman at Mint who missed a few spots the first time she went there.

So, I really hate writing negative reviews.  However, I feel it's important to get the good, the bad, and the ugly out...

Last month when I couldn't make it to my regular eye brow artist, I tried Brow Bar for the first time.  And while it wasn't my regular eye brow artist, I was relatively satisfied with the job that was done at Brow Bar.  Sooooo, imagine my excitement when a couple of weeks later I see a Living Social deal for $6 for eyebrow threading!  I quickly purchased it.

Yesterday I returned to Brow Bar to use my Living Social deal.  I had an appointment, but I arrived 15 minutes early.  Fortunately, they were still able to accept me upon arrival.  I explained to the threader (who was different than the person who did me the first time around) that I had been growing my eyebrows out for quite some time, and I only wanted them cleaned up - not thinner.  I even went into detail about how my left eyebrow had some trouble areas, but that I was so excited because it was finally starting to grow back.  I went on and on and on about how I did NOT want thin eyebrows, and I thought I had gotten my point across.  Apparently not!!  After she threaded my first brow she let me look in the mirror.  I was horrified... There I was with a thin, straight line above my eye.   I think she sensed my disappointment, but if she didn't I quickly made it known how dissatisfied that I was.  I told her that I didn't want my eyebrows thinner, and I specifically requested for my brows not to be thinned out.  Her response: "this looks much better on your face."  Ummmm, sure it does... What else was she supposed to say? :-/  Anyway, she finished with the other eyebrow (what's worse than a thinned out brow - mismatched brows), I redeemed my voucher, and I left.

Nearly 24 hours later, every time I look into the mirror I want to cry.  The only GOOD thing is that my brows are symmetrical (there's always a silver lining, right!), but the bad is that I'd spent almost 10 months growing, fertilizing, and nurturing my eyebrows so that I would have thick, healthy-looking brows, and now that look is completely destroyed.  What really displeases me is that I spent several minutes explaining HOW I wanted my eyebrows done and what I did NOT want, but my concerns went unheard.  Unfortunately, even though the location is great, the staff are friendly, and the price is excellent, I won't be back to Brow Bar.

I love any excuse to trek it over to Inman Park so I was most excited to head that way for a little brow art. I walked in looking like a cross between Frida Kahlo and chewbacca and even with no appointment and was greeted immediately tended to. The place is clean and newish; I agree with Becca that the parking situation is very convenient; I was in and out in 10 minutes (with a pep in my step and a gorgeous new brow job). Since it hurt a tad, I went to Cacao afterwards to treat myself to one too many of my favorite mint julip truffles at Cacao down the street. I will go back many times (to both BB and Cacao).

so i realized it's been almost exactly a year since my first yelp review which was also for a bikini wax. i tend to scour all the coupon sites for the best offers- and thinking about what exactly this procedure entails... i guess that might make me the living definition of a cheap whore.....
anyway, this place was o.k.  i purchased the living social deal and  was a good little yelper and read the reviews before i went so i'd know what to expect.
it is strange for the esthetician to remain in the room while you dress/undress. i've never encountered that before.
also, this rates  high on the "OUCH!" factor- more than other places i've tried.
i also got my brows threaded, and that experience was the least painful brow shaping i've experienced- although it could be because my pain receptors were on overload from i just endured. i'm pleased with the results- but know that my brows are extremely light and not very thick, so it's hard to mess them up.
overall i'd say yes to brows but no to anything south of that.

I had a heavy bikini done. It was one of my worst wax jobs ever, and I have had waxes since 1996. It was done too quickly, and was unnecessarily painful. There were also patches of hair left, despite having areas of skin removed.
