Impressively simple yet tasty Indian pizza fusion. Great crust, toppings and seasoning combination. Non-existent decor, but super cheap for $4.99 for a huge slice.

The giant tandoori sandwich is bursting with freshly baked chicken, melted cheese, and fresh lettuce and tomatos.  Yum-meh.

You'd think that two things you love would be ever more aweome-er-er combined, but no.

The Tiki Marsala here is decent, not the best i've had but decent.
Same with the pizza.  SF has so many great pizza joints, but their pizzas are passable.

    I ordered (delivery):
-the chicken Tiki Marsala pizza which wasn't all that great.  The crust being soggy is what made this extra disappointing.
-the potato pizza which my friends really enjoyed, but i though was too heavy and starchy.

i ordered (sit down) on another occasion:
-Chicken Tiki Marsala- Not bad, but quite extraordinary.
-Nan- Pretty good, ours was really fresh
-Pesto Special Pizza-  Again, kind of your average pizza.

The sit down food was okay but the delivered pizza was soggy and and has a kind of rubbery consistency.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place, but if you have to give it a try, I have two suggestions:
    1) Eat there, the quality is worlds apart from the delivery.
    2) If you get a pizza, get a traditional flavor, if you get Indian food, get it in it's traditional form.  They're not like Voltron and don't go well together...

Fair pizza at normal or slightly above normal pricing. Not bad, but our crust was a bit soggy, but the. There were a lot of toppings.

    So, middle-of-the-road rating overall.

Great little hole in the wall pizza place near the beach. Pizzas are of a large variety, and are out quick for take out or dine in.  The dining area is tiny, and if you're staying in the area the pizza's good for take out.  Hits the spot!

    Yelp, you let me down!

I had a mad craving for Indian food and Pizza one night. I read on yelp that the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza was amazing - and I thought - "How perfect! This is just want I wanted"

    Disappointed.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I wasn't feeling any of it. The pizza was greasy (and not in the delicious pizza sort of way) and the "tikka masala" tasted like gross garlic spread from a can. The pieces of chicken on the pizza were also huge making it difficult to eat.

The mango lassi - meh. It was sweet but I've had better.

The delivery took forever! I called and they said the driver should have already been there. He finally gets here and he's this sweet little old Russian man (looked exactly like the old man from the movie UP). He was so kind that I had nearly forgotten he was late, until I started writing this review...and now I feel sort of like I'm going to hell for writing about how late he was in the review...but not guilty enough to not hit "post review"

    "...carbolicious win"

this review should not be more than 2 stars BUUUUUUUUT:

The pizza from brothers is not going to win any awards in the contest with the likes of Pizetta 211, Tonys, Una, or Delfina. The one thing that gives this pizza a fighting chance at not being utterly forgettable is its proximity to the beach. So the 3 stars in this context is a very relative rating - and in an objective world this is a maximum 2 star product - compared to their SF competition.  But the occasional sunset at OB, close to perfect weather, and an IPA (from a liquor store next door) make brothers a "worth your time" destination. Last pizza we got here was a potato pesto with half anchovies - and it was a total carbolicious win - mostly due to the sunset which we proceeded to watch delicious slices in hand (and an IPA in the other hand).

Excellent pizza! The Potato Pesto might be the best I've ever had - a must try! The crust is thick and hearty - the way pizza crust should be. The perfect late night snack after a night of partying.

The restaurant itself doesn't have the greatest atmosphere- so I wouldnt recommended taking a date there, but is great for take out or late night dining when the atmosphere doesn't matter. Budweiser is the only beer on tap.

Quite possibly the worst slice of pizza I've ever had, anywhere. Had been warned off already, but the scent wafting into The Riptide drew me in to try a slice on my way home. Don't make my mistake. Rating it 1 star is an insult to 1 star pizza takeaways.

On the other hand, if you like your pizza immensely thick and doughy (not Chicago thick, just bad crust and lots of it) with lots of plastic cheese, then this is the place for you. Definitely appeals to the "quantity over quality" crowd.

I need to be heard. Don't make the same mistake I made. I placed my order online on Thursday: easy purchasing process. Pizza was delivered within an hour. I tipped the driver $5. At this point, I thought I picked the right pizza place. Finally, the moment of truth, when I took the first slice. All of the cheese and ingredients fell off. As a pizza eater, there's only one reason for that to happen-old pizza topped with more cheese and ingredients! This business has no ethics. Complete penny pinchers who strive for a one-time transaction!! My final words, there are way more and better places to choose from.

p.s. Brothers Pizza: I hope you learn that honest business is good profitable business.

The flavor is great. The size of the slices is great. Don't let the snotty Asian kid behind the counter get to you - he's lame. Don't hope to get a romantic date night out of this place, but you will get full! The owners are kind and patient (especially considering the drunk d-bags who frequent on the late night), and the variety of flavors is rad. Try the tikka masala pizza, Indian style vegetarian pizza, pesto potato, or just a good ol' slice of mushroom and pepperoni. And to the haters of the $5 slice: that's only if you order a specialty slice, stupid (which I dare you to finish in one sitting!). Cheese starts at $2.95 with $.45 per topping. Dinner under $5? Doesn't get much better than this! A true diamond in the rough in the Outer Sunset! Thanks, Brothers!

    ordered food at 6:30
at 7:30, called eat24 to check
then eat24 called brothers. brothers said the food is done just waiting on delivery guy...okay...i guess it is almost here so i will remain patient.

    waited until 8:15 still nothing
called eat24 to check on the delivery. the guy at brothers said we already received it...really??? is that why we are still hungry and freaking ANGRY as all hell???? CLEARLY the food was delivered  to the wrong house.

called the place. they spent five minutes trying to tell me i received my food even though i was calling to complain that WE NEVER RECEIVED THE FOOD. WOW!!!
NO APOLOGIES WHATSOEVER but felt the need to tell me "go ahead" and call EAT24 to cancel my order. oh why thank you brothers for the tip. no shit sherlock. no freaking shit.

ten minutes later Brothers called me back and explained they gave our order to someone else. thanks a lot defective pizza detective. thanks a lot.

consider two once loyal customers (for years) who would frequent weekly to NEVER come back.

When i lived out in the middle of nowhere aka The Outer Sunset and was feeling to lazy to cook, I would walk the block to Brothers Pizza and order one of their many food options.

I love this place, they have an awesome selection of delicious pizzas as well as a mix of Indian food on the menu. They're delivery service is quick and the guys that work there are generally awesome and laid back. I've always stuck to mushrooms and pepperoni but i've heard theire chicken tikka masala pizza is amazing. Plus its next door to the Riptide. What better way to end your drunken night then with cheesy yummy pizza?

Made my first visit here today.  I live much closer to Zante's, which was my introduction to Indian Pizza.  I had a half Chicken Tikka Masala and half Potato (with pesto and garlic).  I'd have to say that Zante's version tastes more like Indian food and Brothers' tastes more like pizza.  I was in the mood for pizza, so that was better today... lots more cheese, sturdy but not too doughy crust.  They definitely load you up here... don't be surprised if the slices don't completely hold together.

Atmosphere is very hole-in-the-wall, but that's OK.  Nice that they had a flatscreen TV up with the Bengals-Rams game on.

The pizza was terrible, the wings were terrible, the salad was terrible AND they tacked on a $2 extra charge (through Grubhub so I couldn't cancel the order or do anything about it) for my requesting to substitute tomatoes instead of mushrooms on my pizza.

I will never order from this shady shithole again.

Pizza.. Indian.. wait, did a new owner buy the place?

I first had Brothers when I was a kid, and I still come here occasionally when I'm in the City.  I noticed that there's now Indian food on the menu.  Interesting, never noticed that there.. but the pizza was great as a kid, and still great 15-20 years later.  Their pizzas tend to be on the pricey side, but well worth it!

Thank you Yelpers for telling me there's a Tikka Masala pizza!  Definitely going to try it the next time I'm back home.

I got excited that they have Indian/Pakistani pizzas. But I'd suggest leaving your appetite for a trip to Fremont. Here, the service is disgruntled, which translates to rude. The pizzas are slow, especially if you are looking for a quick slice. The slices themselves are giant, which justifies the $5 per specialty slice. I was shocked at first, but rest assured that you will get a generous serving. In fact, maybe too generous? That cheese is just too much. No browning, just gooey. I don't understand how it could resemble pale nacho cheese on my plate. The tandoori chicken pizza looked toxic because the chicken was far too brightly red, which makes me think food coloring instead of spices. The chicken tikka was good and I did taste a great deal of tumeric. Coolest thing about this place was the black and white photos of San Francisco on the walls.

a pizza and indian joint.  interesting combo.  was walking around aimlessly on a desolate sunday night in the sunset, trying to burn off some excess energy before sleep time.  just as i was thinking to myself "something really greasy would hit the spot right about now", out of nowhere, i see a beam of light a block away.  i couldnt believe the place was open.  less than friendly service, but i wouldnt be happy either if my job was to serve drunk ass people on a sunday night.  $5 for a slice of pizza was eye-popping, but it was the largest slice of pizza ive ever had.  undercooked but not overly greasy.  bottom line, not spectacular, but you can bet im going back for late night snacks.

There aren't too many options in terms of food if you live in the Outer Sunset near the beach, so the presence of Brothers Pizza just gives it an extra star. I used to come here on a daily basis when I didn't have a car and wanted some quick lunch or dinner around the block and Brothers was always me and my sister's favorite option.

The restaurant is very typical of a pizza restaurant, small and nothing too spectacular. There really isn't much of a decor but just tables and I believe a television. It's not really a place where you come and eat in but you either get it delivered or pickup and leave. But it's never failed me in terms of quality and quantity. The pizza is pretty good (not the best pizza of course) and the slices are usually very big (from what I remember) and it only costs about $2-$3/slice.

The staff there is very nice and friendly. Service is quick and prompt. You want food...you order food...you get it...out the door. Quick and simple.

Honestly the pizza here is actually good and very generous in toppings and the price was unbelieveable

But with all that said, the SERVICE was so disgustly disrespectful and the stupid Chinese kid behind the counter was a complete joke that when we brought the pizza home, I ate one slice and my appetite just went down the drain because of how effin furious I was with the attitude the Chinese snot and his Indian owners/pizza maker gave me

The entire time my issue was 'Hey this does not look like a combination pizza, the top was all covered with salami and pepperoni and sausage but no veggies'

The Chinese snot ignored my questioning of the pizza and just insisted with complete disreguard to the fact 'hey maybe I'm NOT a regular customer and hey maybe NORMAL combo pizzas DO NOT look like this'

And he proceeded to ring me up with no explanation of why this meat pizza isn't the combo my dad ordered

I said to him twice 'can u just add more olives to the top?'

He ignored me both times and as he stood there waiting for my dad to pay his ungrateful pain in the rear, I leaned over and stared at the indian guy and said 'seriously, can u just add more olives?'

You would think that being a owner would make the man a little more customer service friendly

NO he grabbed the pizza and just said '5 minutes'

Still can't believe my dad was willing to pay after that

I explained it to my dad in Chinese to just order their Number 7 pizza next time cuz it stated that one has veggies and the Chinese snot finally busted in with his Chinese 'the veggies are under the cheese'

HOW THE BLOODY HELL WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW YOU SELF LOATHING PIECE OF COW DUNG

I'd rather pay TWICE the cost and drive across town and wait inline for Little Star Pizza

Okay, 5 stars for the pizza and that awesome menu.  Tikka Masala pizza, artichoke hearts and spinach, pesto special without pizza sauce, gourmet vegetarian... these pizzas are awesome.  Not a big fan of the crust but it's not a deal breaker.  The clam chowder and naan aren't very good, but we live in an area where our clam chowder and naan are some of the best in the country.  Curry Village sets a high standard for Indian food, but this stuff is on pizza.  Awesome.

3 stars for the building.  It's out of the way for most people even in the Sunset.  Of course you expect a somewhat-sketchy place.. it's normal.  But one place where Seniores tops Brothers is the building.. the location and the vibe.  I don't mind it at all, but this is a review.  There you go.  Their sides selection and original menu put this place on the map and it is just as good as Seniores for me.

This place received some glowing reviews from Yelp as well as folks I've talked to.  But...

    Soggy Pizza?  -- Check
Shitty service from the Asian guy at the counter --- Check
    Overcharge for pizza --Check

The atmosphere here is quite depressing.  The Asian guy need to change his attitude.  We ordered the Chef's Special (All meat) X-Large for $27.XX.  There was suppose to be a 10% discount which was confirmed over the phone but we never received it.  They do pile on the cheese but I wish I could say the same about their toppings.  A bit skimpy considering the price point.  I cant believe I traveled across town to this place when I could've gotten a decent pie at Bravo's.

Oh by the way we never received any grated Parmesan.  I had to ask for it.  When I did the Asian guy gave me one, thats right, ONE container which was the equivalent to 1/2 ounce for an X-Large pizza.  I had to remind the guy it was an X-Large then he "sighed" and gave me another 1/2 ounce.  Thanks dummy 2 containers totaling maybe 1 oz of grated Parmesan for an X-Large pizza, bad attitude, overcharge on bill, I had enough of this BS so I helped myself to the one in the shakers and took care of my X-Large pizza.

Here's a tip:  Maybe you just need to get laid homie.  I know I always feel like a champ the next day. =D

PS: I found out later on that the awesome reviews from those individuals were of the Brother's Pizza from yesteryear's.  My how times have changed.  Lesson learned.

I used to come here quite often for a quick sandwhich pizza. Their sausage pizza sandwhich is good. Its big and has just the right amount of cheese. I like the bread they use, its chewy and fresh. As for the guy behind the counter. well, he is cool if you go there alot.  I think he's just like that...in general. I don't know him but I think he's always like that. I just have a feeling. But, like i said if you go there enough you sometimes see he's actually not a bad person.

I don't  understand why my bf and I went to get a sub sandwish at a PIZZA place when we've been craving Brothers Pizza's pizza for the longest time. It was all my idea though, so noone else to blame :)

We came late-afternoon wanting to get something quick, and I couldn't help but notice that they had a menu option called "JUMBO hot sandwiches." It was cold that day, so immediately I picked out the hot chicken parmesan sandwich. The wait for the sandwich was quite long, but after seeing the TRULY JUMBO size of it and feeling the burning warmth through the tin foil, I could tell they spent some time into making sure it was really fresh and legit for us.

The sandwich was large enough to be split for two people, although the bf finished the whole thing. I just had a few bites. The cheese and the chicken was a great mix, but I wasn't too fond of the tomato sauce. It was like a pizza made into a sandwich, which sounds pretty good, but the sauce was a bit too much for me.

Also, we ate it right after it was made, and it was definitely too hot for my mouth. But it was good nonetheless. Next time I'll be sure to try the pizza, because you can actually see them work the dough and take it out of the oven. So it's guaranteed fresh. The crust is HUGE too, and there are SO MANY toppings, so you'll be getting more for your money indeed :)

Not as good as it used to be! :(

I pretty much lived off of their pizza as a kid, as well as their ravioli's with pesto and their meatball sandwiches. The pizza sauce is different now.... or maybe my taste buds have changed? And their meatball sandwiches used to be made on this AWESOME bread that would get soaked with the sauce and just be delicious, but they changed it! I was so bummed the last time I got one. The meatballs are still just as tasty though--can't find better ones anywhere else. And their ravioli's with pesto are still killer. But the changes make me super sad.

I remember going in the back as a little kid and the pizza guy showing me their herb garden. That's seriously how much my dad and I went there. I'm not sure if it's the same guys who work there anymore, but they were super sweet and always made us feel comfortable. I'm definitely willing to go back and see if anything's changed for the better since my last visit. I just wanna love this place like I did when I was little!

This is a cool pizza spot that's by my house...yesterday we were feening for something quick and fast and we ordered from here.

We got 1/2 brother's special and 1/2 tandoori chicken pizza..I must say that it was pretty darn good! When my bf suggested we get the tandoori chicken..I was like, heck naw! But it was pretty darn tasty!! The brother's portion was good, too with sausages and salami - yum!

My hungover bff got some minestrone soup and he liked it alot...

Brother's is good for a quick slice or whole pizza..check it out.

Love love love love this pizza. My girlfriend and I recently took a trip to San Francisco and this just happened to be not only within walking distance of our hotel, but also right next to the bar that we frequented while down by the hotel.

We ordered a large pepperoni and each had a couple slices as we were drunkenly stumbing back to our hotel room and put the leftovers in our mini fridge. This was the single greatest decision we ever made. This was our lunch the next day and even cold this pizza is really truly amazing. The chewy yeasty crust and the slightly tangy sauce were the perfect compliment to the pints of steam beer I drank not 15 minutes prior to grabbing this pie.

If you're ever by the Zoo, grab a pie... not just a slice.
