THIS IS TRUE NEW YORK PIZZA.

The guys that run this place are real New Yorkers, born and raised. They got the accent, the personality, the EVERYTHING of New York.

This is how good the place is, they don't have enough seats, and people still come here to eat, they just get it to go. You can either buy it by the slice or by the pie, opt for the pie, you'll want more. You can get it half your way half your significant other's way or just pile on the toppings to your hearts content. Ours was half cheese and the other half pepperoni with jalapenos and a side of garlic butter. The cheese was sliding off my slice of pizza but I didn't care because it was so buttery, greasy, sweet goodness just simply piping hot. Dipping the crust in their garlic butter only makes it better.

The decor of this place screams popular. No it's not a trendy looking place but it's got personality. Pictures of the Texans Girls up on the walls autographed and dollar bills hanging everywhere signed and colored from pizza lovers alike.

    I want some right now...

Heard from my neighbor it was the best...

I ordered an XL pepperoni (super greasy) and a Philly steak cheese that had o flavor.

It was super packed and friendly service..but the food was just ok.

I had to use at least 5 napkins per two slice....yikes.

This is the closest thing to common New York pizza that I have found.  Wait?  COMMON?!?!  let me explain.

When people THINK of NYC pizza, this is what they are thinking about.   This is what YOU think about.  It's that slice you see on Sex & the City.  It's the slice you see people in music videos eat.  It's the slice you want!  Seriously, New York style pizza isn't fancy.  It's kind of ordinary in it's own special way.  The cheese isn't piping hot.  The ingredients aren't the best.  The service isn't polite (well, at Brother's they are).

The biggest difference between REAL New York pizza and Brother's Pizza is that Brother's serve their pizza fresh.  Yup, in NYC, you won't get fresh pizza.  Think about it, do you think they really care if you get FRESH pizza?  Nope, in NYC they make the pizza first and then if you want a slice, they just reheat it for you.  THAT'S WHY THE CHEESE IN THE MIDDLE DOESN'T RUN OFF!  Yes, observe it.  When you go to Brother's and order a pie, go ahead and pull yourself off a slice.  The middle chuck of cheese on the pie (or tip of the slice, which ever you want to think of) will come off.  Why?  It doesn't happen on TV.  It doesn't happen when you go to NYC and get a slice.  Why does it happen?  It's because you are eating a fresh product at Brother's!  Wait a little bit.  Add some garlic powder, oregano, and parmesan.  It will be like truly authentic NYC pizza in about 2 mins.

Why didn't I give this place 5 stars?  I hate the wait and there are places to sit.  WHAT??! ??!!  places to sit?  That's not REAL New York pizza!  I'll take my slice, stand outside next to garbage and rats while I eat my pizza!  Ah, I miss NYC.

PS:  typical New York pizzerias would also have garlic knots and beef patties.  I like my beef patties with cheese!  yum!  C'mon Brother's?!?!?  where are my beef patties?!?!?

Here's the manager's response on his Facebook wall about my wife being dehydrated: ""You shoulda went to the hospital if she was dehydrated not a restaurant !!! Remember nothing is free in life ." Then he accused me of "hiding something" because I used my friend's tripadvisor account to review his arrogant self.  Obviously, a man who cares deeply about the well-being of his customers.  Seriously, do you think anyone with this attitude WOULDN'T cut corners, like for, oh, say, pest control.  Hey, nothing is free in life.  Maybe we don't need to spray for roaches this month.  I honestly wouldn't put it past this guy.

Update #2: The manager's next reply:
"Every business is built on making money to pay the rent, to pay workers ,to pay food costs, to pay electricity, and mistakes we make, then we make a profit after everything is paid , so why is it hard for you to get a dollar thats right 1 DOLLAR out your pocket and buy a bottle of water ? yes alot of places have sink water for free but the cups cost money we try to minimize cost as any company trys to do . do you turn a profit for your company ? every restaurant is different sorry you fell so upset over this, hope your wife is ok ."

So, a  fake apology, condescension, assuming that I'm a retard, and still no offer to make amends.  And apparently he's arguing that his profit margin is less than McDonald's since somehow McDonald's manages to offer free water.

    early dinner late lunch: 4pm

Watched The Layover: Rome last night, had a hankering for some pizza after we saw him at the Pizzarium.  Decided to go to Brother's after so many recommendations.

Walk in, had the vibe of a NY style pizza joint with a counter and pizza oven, though it was much better because there was a dining room area.  Decor lined with sports related stuff, mostly cheerleaders (like^).

Menu written in chalk, nice but please don't use blue chalk on a blackboard if you have additional information that is probably important to your order.  Saw a to-go menu, so used that to see what I wanted to order with my sister-in-law to take home.

Ended up ordering a pie with pepperoni and meatball XL (18"), calzone, and chicken parmigiana dinner that comes with spaghetti pasta, garlic bread, and a salad (had with ranch dressing).

When the to-go order came out, couldn't resist since I was so hungry, so I took out a slice and had to munch.  Sister-in-law had gotten the shakers of garlic powder and italian spices ready and before I got my slice, started pouring them on along with extra parmesan.  Got my slice, which was so hot, the cheese couldn't hold the toppings on to it yet and half slipped off.  First bite, it was delicious with a tangy tomato sauce, not the sweet marinara sauce you get at most pizza joints.  The pepperoni was standard, but the meatballs were really good.  My sister-in-law is from NYC, and when she had a bite, she was impressed enough to go and thank one of the head workers and shake his hand saying "I'm from NY and I was looking for a decent pizza place... thank you.. I kinda want to give you a hug".

We get home and split the calzone.  It's light and fluffy, with the air pocket up top, 3 cheese which were also very soft and surprisingly fluffy, only disappointment was that it only had 1 piece of ham in it.  If there was more meat, it would have been totally awesome at $7.  The cheese was great though, plentiful and great tasting.  I get 2 more slices which are by this time slightly warm and all the oil has been soaked up by the powders and parmesan cheese.  Still good, but not as crispy or good from right off the rack.

Great pizza, but if I was to recommend something, it would be to eat it there.  Nothing compares to right out the oven.  OH, and have coke products.  It's a pepsi joint. =(

I've been going to this pizza joint ever since I was a young lad in high school. Parking is really easy and plentiful as it's in the same shopping center as the Sam's Club. The workers/cashiers are always friendly and are quick on their feet. The pizza comes out blazing hot, the crust being very crispy and the cheese just ooozes, not overly greasy but just greasy enough. I always get greedy and try to eat as many slices before my friends and always ended up burning the top of my mouth -___. Recently I've tried the lasagna, and must say it's made-from-scratch goodness. It comes with garlic bread and a pepperoni salad, so it's bound to satisfy even for my Marley friends. They've got 2 TV's running on ESPN usually, just a cozy and laid back place to grab a nice slice.

I order a XL cheese. The guy tells me it'll be about 12 minutes. I sat there for 30 minutes finally go up there and tell him I've been waiting for 30 minutes. Turns out he lost my ticket. He gives me a pizza that's been laying around.

When I tried the pizza it's definitely  one of the best NY style pizza's in Houston. Would've gave this place 5 stars easily. Hopefully they have better service next time and I certainly wouldn't mind changing the review.

When you are an expatriated New Yorker it always seems as if you are on a holy crusade to find a place that can serve you a slice of home.  Unfortunately this crusade usually ends as a typical slaying of the unrighteous.

Then my Italian mentor, who just happens to be from Brooklyn, NY, told me a story of two Albanian nationals who decided to move to Naples once the wall fell.  Supposedly these two fellows eventually decided to take their talents to NY and continue to make pizza.

This is where the story gets fuzzy to me....but low and behold they open up a shop in far western Houston and begin to make pies for the same people that like chewy thick pizzas that are half way between Chicago and NY style pizza topped with Sysco cheese product.  Seems like a gamble to me.  But it appears the gamble has paid off as they have now opened multiple locations.  Though Greenspoint probably wasn't the best idea for one of thelocations.

Oh yeah, about the pizza.  The pizza is the best NY pizza in Houston, but there is not much competition so that is not saying much.  I do have to say that it is the best rendering of NY style pizza I have encountered in the southeastern United States.  All of the better pies I have had are of the Neapolitan variety.

The pie simply smelled so good that once I got it in the car that it did not make it out of the parking lot before I had partaken in the first slice.

    Get napkins.

P.S.  I wouldn't give Giordano's a one star review because they don't have thin crust pizza.  I'm just sayin'.

Absolutely a classic. Brother's Pizza holds a special place in my heart especially because they've seen me through shopping trips with my family in elementary school through shopping trips with my middle school friends when West Oaks Mall was *THE* hang out spot and to watch the other middle schoolers fight. I can't believe that was almost 15 years ago...I don't wanna think about how old I am...

So if time isn't enough of a testament to how great the pizza is, I'll be one of many to tell you that its down right delicious. Space is fairly limited and all the guys behind the counter (yes ALL guys) make you feel right at home, regular or not. Always cuttin jokes and putting a smile on your face, you can tell they really care about putting out a good pie. And that they do! I usually go for their supreme. Cheesy, warm bread-y, tasty pepperoni, onions, green bell pepper, italian sausage, ham goodness! They only serve New York Style crust here and the staff have the accents to match :)

They've recently raised the prices a bit, but still completely worth it. Let the masses of people there every time I've visited (even weekdays!) speak for it. It's just that good.

    Will never ever return.

    Reasons why:
    - No whole wheat option
    - Paper thin pizza (NY style is just not for me)
    - Crispy at the bottom but right above it is super soggy
    - Greasy (I used 2 napkins per slice!)
    - Ordered spinach topping, which isn't expensive at all from the market... So why did I only get a few leaves?

Now if you like a "true NY style" pizza, this place is for you. If you're a deep dish lover, do not come here. I'm sticking with Star Pizza (deep dish) and Fuzzy's (regular crust).

My favorite place to go to for pizza in Houston.  Their pizza is to die for.  The thin crust, cheesiness, and greasiness.  MMMMM.  Except for the greasiness.  It can be a little greasy at times and the staff knows it, as they supply you with 304895630469 napkins.

One odd thing is that their individual pizza slices taste better than their whole pizzas.  We ordered a whole pizza once, and it just wasn't the same.  I have no idea why.  (shrug)

I also do find that it's best not to over-top it.  Get a pepperoni, and you won't be disappointed.  Good for the price too, as you get a pretty large slice for around $2.50.

Easily the best pizza in Houston.  These guys specialize in greasy, thin crust, big slice, New York style pizza. If you guys want any other way, you are eating the wrong pizza. I've been here a handful of times and it has been consistently good.  Their pizza's have a nice crunchy crust and you can definitely notice the freshness in the ingredients.

Staffers are ultra friendly; seems like they know everybody that eats there.

The only con is the drive, but I can't deprive them of a star for that. ;)

My dad had been talking this place up for around 3 months, but everytime I was in town it ended up being a sunday which they arent open for.
So I was ready to experience how awesome it is supposed to be. I ordered a pepperoni, salami, and italian sausage pie. I don't believe they put any salami on it, I couldnt taste it or see it on the pizza. I also expected there to be more toppings in general. There was maybe 10 pieces of sausage on the whole thing.
This pizza is good, but its nothing special. Its a very good new york style pizza, but I prefer more hearty pizzas, like chicago or somewhere inbetween. The pizza at brothers is pretty whimpy and a little pricey too. but it is not lacking in grease.
I would eat here again if friends wanted to, but I wouldnt go out of my way for it.
the staff are very friendly and helpful though.

It started with a simple question to a friend, "Where is the best place in Houston for true NY-style pizza?".  Unfortunately for my waistline, my friend told me about Brother's.  For my family members who may read this, as close to Pizza City as I've found!

Perfect crust - perfect sauce - terrific cheese...end of story.

I've been eating at Brothers Pizza since I was about 10 years old when it was in West Oaks Mall.  It disappeared for years before resurfacing on HWY 6 in front of the Sams Club.  My brother and I were absolutely heartbroken... but as I got older I started thinking that it probably wasn't really THAT good and that I'd made up all those fond feelings I had for it as a kid.

Well, when it came back to HWY 6, we couldn't get there fast enough... and, boy, was I glad!  I lived in NY for 2 years and this was every bit as good as the pizza up there.

    - Crisp crust with just the perfect amount of char to it
    - Just the right amount of sauce (and not sweet sauce either!)
    - Cheese is great quality and stays gooey and soft while you eat it (rather than the cheap stuff that turns to rubber almost immediately)
    - Toppings are all fresh and excellent quality

I typically order just a plain Pepperoni Pizza.... not because I'm a picky eater but because the pizza is so good that it seems like blasphemy to over-top it!

Of course, the cherry on top is the guys that work in the shop and their thick NY accents.  It really brings me back to my time in the NorthEast when I hear a nice guy call me "dahlin'".  Everyone's very polite and friendly.  Same staff since I was a kid.

No delivery which is kind of a bummer but it's SO worth the trip.

You guyz are cranking out some amazingly ooey gooey cheesy dishes!  I've been visiting for just over 72 hours and already have eaten here twice.  What that means for my waistline is another story!  I suppose the gym and I will be bonding.

My first taste was a couple slices of basic pizza - one cheese, one pepperoni.  I normally don't eat meat on my pizza, but felt I had to try the pepperoni for a true taste.  I loved them both!  They were perfectly thin, light on sauce, and extra cheesy - made with love by all the masculine men in the kitchen. ;-)  My second taste was a chicken parmesian sub - crazy huge, but tasty.  I couldn't eat it all.

By the way, the guys who work here are very courteous.  This place is a little dive with amazing prices, nothing fancy.  It's all about good pizza and other dishes.  they serve bottled beer, cheap wine, and soda pop (fountain/bottle).  Is there any better pizza in the area? Fuhgetaboutit! :-P

Cheese Berry was my ultimate pizza go-to in Houston.  However, since Cheese Berry is now closed, I am left to wander through the city to reminisce about my favorite pizza hot spots that are miles and hours away that are in Austin or in New York City. :(

THENNNNNN, there's Brother's Pizza!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My housemate had a craving for it when we were making a trip out to the NW side of town on a Friday night.  She was pretty certain that it will be a worthwhile stop, and she was right!! :DDDD

The pizza crust was thin, NY-style, fresh, and very crispy!!  We ordered the regular pepperoni pizza.  All of its sauces and cheeses were just perfect and the right amount for me.

I also had a sudden realization, thinking: WHERE do ppl get their pizza in Houston besides the regular chain brands?  Bc Houston is becoming so commercial, and it dawned on me that Brother's Pizza -- seriously has to be THE BEST in town.  I'd give them credit for being established in Houston since the 1980's and are a hit with locals ever since.  WIN!!!  and I can't wait to go again!

Definitely the best pizza in town.  My husband, who grew up in Houston, has been visiting this pizzeria since he was in his teens when it was at West Oaks Mall (and I believe it since they know him by name) . I really didn't believe him when he said it was the best, but I have to now agree.

The thing I love the most?  Unlike every other pizzeria, I don't have to get extra cheese on their pizza.  There is just the right amount for a cheese lover like myself!  Also, the cheese isnt' just mozzerella, but a blend of various italian cheese which makes it much more flavorful.  I love the sliced italian sausage and it's become the only place I will have it on my pizza.  There's also just the right amount of sauce so that all of the toppings don't slide off your pizza on the first bite.

And if your family wants pizza and you don't?  There are garden salads, pasta and some other entrees you might like.

The atmosphere here seems to change depending on the day of the week.  Friday and Saturday afternoons are typically noisy and crowded with a large "take out" line and tables pushed together for families.  The early dinner or lunch crowd is a bit quieter and there are TV's on both sides of the dining room tuned to a news or sports channel typically.

And last, the guys there are great.  Friendly and polite and I must say, they make us females feel like "ladies" and not just another customer

Since my favorite pizza place is all the way in The Woodlands, I am always looking for a pizzeria that can offer up the good stuff in my part of town.

So, one time while I was picking up some delicious pizzas from my regular haunt, a turncoat employee there asked if I had ever tried Brother's Pizza.  I said that I hadn't but I appreciated the recommendation and decided to try it the next time I needed a pizza fix but didn't want to drive so far.

Once the opportunity arrived, I put Brother's Pizza on my agenda - it was easy and convenient for me since it was on my way while we were out anyway.  For a Friday night, they were pretty packed even though there was road construction at this very busy intersection of Highway 6 and Interstate 10.  I felt very optimistic seeing how many people had gone out of their way to grab the pies here.

We ordered two pizzas:  one was half mushrooms and half peppers, the other was just a cheese pizza.  The special order was not a problem and they got our pizzas out quickly even with the Friday night rush.  Everything was good but the plain cheese pizza was the best of all of the slices.  It wasn't very expensive and we had left overs.

The thing that makes them miss out on 5 stars for me is the lack of topping choices.  I like to have the opportunity to get things like fresh garlic or feta cheese but they only had the same old, same old here.  There weren't many choices outside of meat so it made the pizza a little dull - even the veggie options were a tad bit boring.  I wish Brother's Pizza had a little more variety.

If I need pizza that is close and easy to access, Brother's Pizza is one of the better places on the West Side of town.  It's nothing special but it certainly fills the need for better than average pizza.

While preferring a NY style crust, the pizza at Brother's proves to be a really great "standard-issue" pizza. Cut and dry: they make up for their unforgettable atmosphere with a rather tasty pie.

Being one that is hesitant to drag my butt out of the house during the evening hours, Alex R's recent UYE sang the Siren's song that made this outing too tempting to miss.

As mentioned the interior is your basic strip mall eatery with super bright wrinkle defining lights, posters taped to the walls, tiled floor, tables & chairs. The staff at the order counter were quick, made suggestions and very polite. The fiance and I decided to split a pie: 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni. We socialized with a rather lively group of Yelpers until our pizza was delivered to the table. The crust was thicker than I liked but had a really nice texture with just the right amount of crunch and softness to it. The sauce was the winner here topped with just the right amount of cheese. Next thing I knew I was down to my last piece which I usually give to the man but I scarfed it down.

Really, this place is a 3.5 but I am rounding up due to me being in a generous mood. ;o)

Came here today for lunch with the parents. We decided to do pizza for lunch today and Yelp came to the rescue. I Yelped pizza around their area and Brother's Pizzeria popped up. I have no idea how I lived without Yelp. Actually, yes I do; I wasted a lot of money on crappy restaurants.

So, we got here around 1:30 and it was already pretty busy inside. There was only 1 table that would accommodate the 3 of us or else we would have just had to bring 2 tables together. They guy behind the counter had an authentic NY accent which was a good sign. We ordered a 16" Brother's Pizza. It was basically a supreme. I would have given this place 5 stars, but the veggies on the pizza didn't taste as if they were freshly cut that day. I'm thinking they were bought all diced up. That didn't matter too much to me though.

What I loved about the pizza was the crust and the cheese. First the crust; it was thin but it wasn't like a cracker. It was crunchy on the bottom and soft on top. The reason I loved the cheese was because they didn't drown the pizza in it. Most pizzas seem to have a crap load of cheese on the pizza to mask the quality of everything else. Like when I go to a restaurant and order a steak. If they give me dipping sauces or put anything other than salt and pepper on the steak, I question the quality of that meat. However, Brother's had probably the least amount of cheese on any pizza I've ever had and it was perfect.

When you get to the area that Brothers is in, you wouldn't expect a great pizzeria to be there. It's in a strip mall, but they have done everything right here. I want to try their pastas or even their sandwiches sometime, but it'll be hard to not order the pizza.

Ah Brother's, how I've missed you...

These days my trips to my fave pizza joint are few and far between, but I still make an effort to trek out now and again.  It's just too good to stay away.

Like many other reviewers, this Brother's is a "grew up with" staple from West Oaks Mall (back when people actually shopped there).  When they closed in the mall, I still hadn't explored any further than Alief and FB, so I was out of luck.  Then, years of Pizza Hut and Papa John's later, a friend happened to mention she'd had some Brother's pizza.  WHAT/WHERE?!  probably plus a few explicatives came tumbling from my mouth.  So that's when I found out about the relocation to I-10 and 6, and I was off!

Thankfully when I found them (modestly located at the end of a shopping strip in front of a Sam's), it was like walking back in time at the counter.  Same owners, same signs, same graffti'd dollar bills, and of course, the SAME PIZZA!!! Since I've found them again, I've tried to find excuses to be in the area :P

So, the pizza - Just the right crispy/chewy thin crust, great tomato sauce, stringy cheese, pepperoni (and whatever else you want) - making big, floppy, greasy, NY style slices served simply on old school paper plates.  Your choice of drinks, including beer!  Pizza + Beer + TVs + laid back staff = best pizza time ever.

If you hit them up at closing time, grab and go is good too.  They always make sure to check if you need anything - plates/napkins/peppers/cheese... recreate the experience at home, like me, tonight!

Excellent service, damn these guys run a good show! I literally just got back from lunch and just had to commend them on here pronto!  I was going to order 2 slices (1 cheese and 1 pepperoni) but just ended up going with a slice of cheese and small salad.  I got my coworker 2 slices of pepperoni (I owe him for bowling at 300!) and a bottle of water to share, my total was 10 dollars exactly, *swoon!*

I find it weird that they put pepperoni on their salad, but we're here for the pizza people! The pizza slice was brought to me piping just out of the oven hot  and this is one serious slice, it's huge! You can see the guys in the kitchen popping these babies in and out of the oven! The cheese was amazing, good quality cheese, melted into an oozy greasy delight, none of that rubbery crap.  And these bros have definitely mastered the thin crust alright.  I thanked myself for going with the 1 slice and small salad option, especially since I had eyed a donut shop that was still open at 1pm a couple doors down...

Authentic NY style pizza.  Doesn't matter what you order on top of it, it's delicious!  Our favorite place for pizza in Houston.  It's family owned and operated, has been for years.  They are very nice people and care about their customer service and quality.

Thin crusts, melted cheese and fresh toppings.  Beats any fast-food pizza place.  On top of that, they've got great prices!  Don't be fooled, 2 people can finish a large serving.  The crust is thin so don't cheat yourself by ordering a medium if you plan to share.

Call in your order ahead if you plan to dine-in, so that you're not salivating too long watching everyone else eat that oh so good pizza!

So I don't like pizza... good way to start off a review of a pizza place, right?  Good thing I didn't have any pizza! Not a bite! I headed here for a UYE (unofficial Yelp Event).  We met there for dinner and took up literally 20% of the restaurant or more!

Ordering is counter service.  The guy who took my order was very nice.  My husband got two slices of pizza, which he enjoyed but said weren't the best ever.  Very Good but not great. I had the chicken Parmesan sandwich which is served with a bag of chips. It was definitely large! It was above average but not the best ever. I'd get it again.  All of this for under $20.  not bad.

The place was definitely bustling with activity! It seems to be quite the local hangout!

Big Negative... PEPSI ?!?  Why!?  We live in Texas, this is a Coke state.

"I love brother's pizza so much I want to take it behind a middle school and get it pregnant." Thank you 30 Rock!

The pizza here is just how I like it (NY style). A simple think crust, chewy, greasy and just the right amount sauce. I've been to NYC like a dozen times and I think brother's is up to par if not better. The guys working back there are always nice and ready to please.

Yes! You get 5 starts! Woot Woot!

Cheese cheese its good for your heart the more you eat it, the more you start to choke on the cheese you need a beer so get your cheese pizza here!

I'm just saying, . . . someone had to do it.  Now that thats out of my system, apparently I have to review the actual place when its a UYE so here goes:

This place was good. I had a lot of pizza.  The cheese was um, melty and very yu-mm-y.  I had lots of fun.  I even spoke to the guy at the counter with a New York accent and he laughed a lil bit.  Overall I have to say it was all very very niiiiice!

Are you happy Alex? I know you are

P.s.  I am actually from the mob so If you don't think my review is funny, helpful, or cool "I'm gonna rub you out see!"

At first glance this place is nothing extraordinary.  Just another corner shop in a large center with block white letters displaying "Brother's Pizza"  You walk inside and it's small, crowded, and bustling with the hum drum of a dozen different conversations.

At the counter my friend and I ordered the 12" Deluxe (with no Olives) and a beer.  They gave us a number and we sat down to wait for our meal.  Everything is brightly lit and the walls are decorated with sports and swimsuit calender girls.  The employees are all male, less to smile but very polite, quick, and efficient which matters more to me than a pretty face.

I was starving and to be honest the pizza did not impress when it came out.  Very flat looking pizza, with most of the cheese in the middle and thinning out at the edges to reveal a little of the red sauce.  Toppings like green pepper and onions were cut thickly and squared, unlike the super thin slices I'm used to elsewhere.  Everything seemed to be spread out sparsely only.

Then I grabbed a slice and watched the cheese string out from the tray all the way to my plate.  I knew right then and there this pizza was going to be a winner for me.  Maybe it was the deliciously stretchy cheese I kept having to detach from my chin?  The super fresh veggies?  The garlic powder they had?  The thin but crispy crust?  I can't quite put my finger on it, but I could not get enough of this pizza!

I kept eating, and my friend kept eating, and drinking, and laughing...and next thing you know we are eyeing the last two pieces, which we were suppose to save for our friend, contemplating on whether or not to devour those too.  We didn't, but we would have if we weren't such good friends!

This place is close enough for me to order lunch to go and pick up, so I'm grateful for the UYE that posted here.  This is the best pizza I've ever had for sure.  Goes to show, you really should NEVER judge a book by it's cover.

One of the top best pizza places in Houston. My friends and I used to come here a lot after softball games on Sundays. Now that they are closed on Sundays.. it's hard filling that void.

I usually order a pepperoni or hamburger pizza by the slice with a side order of garlic bread. The pizza is DELICIOUS. Greasy but I LOVE every bit of it. The garlic bread is the perfect side as well.

If I'm taking a road trip to Austin or SA, this is the place to go to before the trip. I remember it when they had a location at West Oaks Mall, but I don't remember it being as great as it is now.

The main guys behind the register are great & friendly and know all the regulars by name. They are very passionate about their pizza & business. You can tell that after spending 5 minutes in the place.

I wish they had another location in the southwest area of town. If they did, I'd definitely be there every week!

Not a bad place to grab a quick slice but not my favorite.  I have to admit I have been in houston for a year and still have not found a pizza place that blows me away.

Coming here to Texas from NYC, and a prior pizzeria owner myself, I really, REALLY missed New York Style Pizza. No one here that claims to have it even comes close. This place? IT IS is as close as you can get here in Houston. it is SO worth trying! I took an old friend of mine- who relocated here from Queens, NY... and he really enjoyed it. If you never had NYC style pizza- you don't know what you are missing... give this place a shot at least once. I assure you- you will become hooked. And for me, well- I also love going to a place where the guys behind the counter sound just like me when they talk!
And though they do not normally deliver- upon speaking with one of the owners- I found out they do deliver to businesses for lunch-so call to inquire.

Craving a pie after a recent trip home to the east, searched online to find something close to an attempt at NY style pizza. Characteristics of that perfect pizza trifecta included just enough (and not too much) real mozzarella cheese, slices that you must fold to eat, and greasy fingers to lick afterwards.  This is a different breed of crust and sauce than you get from the big chains! No fancy names to the pizzas, just great pies!
This place hit the mark with foldable slices and the mandatory attitude of family service. Great joint we will visit again when calories do not matter! Lasanga was good and saucy, served with classic garlic bread.

I couldnt think of a better place to review for my first review.  Been going to this place ever since they used to be at west oaks mall.  Still by far my favorite place to go for a slice (you can order whole pies, as well as sandwiches, salads, and pasta too).  It is reasonably priced and run by nice people.   It's not a huge place, and can get pretty packed at peak times but it usually doesnt take too long to get a table after you order.

If you are looking for something to go with your slice, get the garlic bread with cheese.  The menu posted behind the counter only list garlic bread, but the extra dollar for the cheese is money well spent.

Another plus is the pricing.  Everything is set up so that you never have to deal with anything besides quarters.  I guess i like the small things like this, but its nice not to have to deal with a lot of change.
