I am a huge fan. We have been coming here since it opened I just forgot to Yelp about it. Sorry. So this week alone I had the wedge salad three times. It is truly a delicious salad. We have had several different pizzas to the Cal zones and all very good and fresh ingredients. Never once dissatisfied.
The staff is always helpful and nice and I am glad to have a delicious pizza place close to home. If you find yourself there on a nice day outside they have a wonderful patio. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. -

We did not care for Brooklyn's at all. We are accustomed to Cavalli's, Grimaldi's, Coal Vines and all the other brick oven type pizzerias in Dallas. Brookly's tasted like school cafeteria style pizza to me.
My stromboli was so cheesy, it started to make me feel sick. The onions and bell peppers were in huge chunks and were not sauteed. My boyfriends pizza was undercooked. The crust seemed to still be doughy.
We won't be back and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. -

It was OK, we had a veggie pizza that tasted dry so we sent it back. The salad was great and the gnocchi was OK also

We had Brooklyn's brought in for a business lunch. I was tempted by the Chopped Italian salad or the Gnocchi with Vodka sauce, but decided on the sausage and mushroom Calzone. Oh, and the Toasted Almond Cream Cake (long meetings make me crave sweets... yeah, that's it).
My calzone was huge, and stuffed with fresh mushrooms, tasty sausage and loads of herb-flecked melted cheese... but T's meat-stuffed Stromboli, next to me, looked amazing. I had to try some. Yummmm! All of a sudden my calzone had lost it's luster.
Thank goodness the almond cake brought me out of my 'I didn't get the stromboli' funk. That is some delicious cake! The soft consistency of Tiramisu (which they also have btw, and it is also delicious), but with a punch of almond flavor.
Next time, I'm getting the Stromboli (or wrestling it out of T's hands)! -

I do really like the food here. It'd fast & conveniently located (Firewheel mall) as well. I've only had pizza & salad here, though, so I can't vouch for the other items. The pizza has just the right sized crust: not too thick & not stick-thin. Perfect! The salads are so-so. I've only had the caesar, and they put too much dressing on it, but that is the only complaint.
I like the set-up. It's casual & pretty cool. Nice place to take a break from shopping & meet with friends. -

Wife picked this place last Saturday when we were shopping with the kids. Being our first time there, we didn't know what to expect.
We got in to the ordering area, and the line was moving dreadfully slow. This was a blessing in disguise, as it gave us time to review the menu. Once we got to the cashier, we ordered our salad, the chicken cacciatore wings and our pizza. The price was reasonable, then we got our drinks and got seated.
The salad- Stella's Wedge- was tasty and fresh with plenty of bleu cheese sprinkled over the top. Fun salad, as my son and I joked about giving Stella a Wedgie if we saw her.
Next were the chicken cacciatore wings- not the neatest food to share with a seven and three year old, but then again, they didn't wear any more of it than my wife or I did. I was surprised at the good taste of the marinara; chain restaurants usually don't do well at this.
The pizza toppings were tasty, crust lacked that authentic doughy chewiness.
Summarily, the food had good flavor and we'd go back provided it wasn't crowded, and we wouldn't order the pizza. And, honestly, there are other places I'd go first. Above average for a moderately-priced chain restaurant, but it would be much better if the ordering process was more traditional, with wait staff tending to seated clients. -

Hubbs, baby Jesse and I went on a slow weekday afternoon. I was kind of confused about how they work. There isn't a waiter assigned to you so we didn't know who or how to tip. There really wasn't much service anyway but I found out they have a tip jar so I left something for them.
The pizza presentation wise looked good but I don't remember it standing out all that much in the taste dept.
I don't think I'll be back but I'm glad I finally went. Had my eye on the place for a while! -

This place is great as far as location (off Firewheel in the shops there) and it is cute as can be as far as decor.
However, the pizza leaves a lot to be desired. I mean it so bland, boring and just not great for restaurant quality pizza. Slices seemed kinda small too. Prices are fine, but the food is miss. It won't be calling you back. -
Review from Jason J.
Was not impressed by Brooklyn's in any way. We walked in the door, having never been here before, and were completely confused as to whether we were just supposed to seat ourselves or go up to the counter or what. And the staff there were no help. We finally figured it out.
The pizza itself was kinda bland, with nothing to write home about. Very saucy and light on toppings and the crust tasted like something out of a microwave. -

Nice loacation, Fantastic service, asked for food suggestion, was told get the pasta. I got it to go and it didn't make it home intact. The aroma was killer. Oh well, guess the cleaners gets another challenge.

Review from Chris L.
My 7 year old daughter called this place "Scotty P's for pizza" when we walked in. So picture a Scotty P's, but with pizza, NYC decorations, and a full bar.
I guess they are a new chain, as they have locations in Allen, McKinney, Frisco, Plano, and this one at Firewheel in Garland.
For a pizzeria, they have a pretty decent variety of other italian dishes (chicken or eggplant parm, spaghetti, ziti, gnocchi, ravioli, lasagna, etc).
We ordered the appetizer of Pepperoni Rolls. You get 6 for $2.99, so you can imagine the size of them. Basically, it's just a roll with pepperoni rolled up in it. They were tasty, but a little dry.
My son had the baked ziti and he really liked it. I took a bite and to me, it was "meh".
My daughter had the "Kid Slice", which looked more like a "Godzilla's Kid" slice. It was frickin' huge! Thin crust and floppy, I told her to roll it up and she did. Being a smartass like her Daddy, she didn't fold it lengthwise and proceeded to eat holes in the middle of the slice.
I had a slice of the Stuffed Meat Pie. The menu says that it's an inch thick, but it looked more like 2 inches to me. Then again, I'm a guy. To us, 6 inches looks like 10.
That slice of pie alone is worth 4 stars. I'm a big dude and I could barely finish it. It was slap full of pepperoni, beef, sausage, and canadian bacon. I had to look like a goober and eat it with a fork, because it was too dense to pick up.
Just FYI, although it is counter order, there are servers that will bring it to your table and they also get you refills on your (non booze) drinks. Keep that in mind if you're paying with a credit card, so that you don't end up screwing over your server by not having a tip ready (like I did--sorry!).Listed in: I'll Be Gentle

Can I give half a star or a quarter of a star? Because this place had awful food. I mean awful food. I tried the Asiago Alfredo pasta and it had these three flaws:
1. lukewarm - they should've delivered the pasta to the table separately instead of bringing it with the pizza
2. funny taste - enough said
3. odd texture - the sauce was lumpy and thick in the middle and thin towards the end like it came out of a can
The pizza was decent but not good enough to make up for my disappointing pasta dish.
Did I mention they screwed up the pizza order too?
Nope, I don't plan on returning. -
Review from Magnus L.
I had really high hopes for this place but unfortunately they couldn't live up to them. The decor is pretty nice, like other reviews have mentioned before, lot's NY related signs etc, it is pretty nice.
Seems to be a good place for kids, they have some kind of video game kids can play for free while they wait which is a great initiative.
I had their 14 inch pizza with pepperoni, italian sausage and extra mozzarella cheese. It was alright but way too plain for me. The actual pizza dough didn't really have any flavor, the italian sasuage was really plain and not even the pepperoni had much flavor. I had to douse the pizza in crushed red pepper to get any flavor besides the mozarella (which was good btw). Maybe this was a bad day (on a Sunday during lunch hours).
At least they have some sense of humor, the table ticket we got said "waiting builds good character" and boy we must have great character after having to wait 25 mins for the pizza to be delivered to our table!
I'll give this place a second chance though and hopefully next time it will be much better. -

Brooklyn's is some of the best NY style pizza in Dallas. The crust is delicious -- not too crispy, not too soft.. not thin enough to be nonexistant, but not so thick its overbearing. Just perfect, NY style deliciousness. They really pile the toppings on too. Their mozzarella is high quality, and they make sure theres no shortage of it! The tomato sauce is also great -- not too acidic, but not that sickeningly sweet, canned tomato taste either.
They take your order at the counter, you pay, and bring a number to your table. After a short wait [ive never waited long really], a server will bring out your food, plates, and extra napkins.
The soda bar is self serve, and has a bunch of syrups like cherry, chocolate, and vanilla so you can make your own custom fountain-style soda at no extra charge. They have a huge variety of specialty pizzas, or build your own in sizes from individual slices, all the way up to a giant 18" pie. I love that you can get an individual slice of pretty much every specialty pie. They also have strombolis, calzones, and pasta dishes.. ive never had anything but the pizza and cannolis.. mm.. cannolis.
They can be pretty crowded on weekend evenings and it can be hard to find a table sometimes. Theres usually lots of kids running around on the weekends. I like to sit on the patio when the weather is nice, its usually much quieter out there! My only real gripe is that the place could be a little cleaner and tables could be wiped down a bit better between customers.. all the kids leave lots of crumbs, apparently. -

Not a bad pizza place at all. We were there on a Saturday. I had the meat pie, the wife had a chicken calzone. I got to meet the owner. He's got a funny story - he moved here from New York to be closer to his kids and all the pizza places here stunk. So what does he do? he opens his own.
It spread from there. He now has multiple locations across the DFW metroplex.
The food was pretty tasty and the decor fitting. When we got there they were training a whole crew so there were teens in brown t-shirts everywhere. It looked like a UPS convention.
The kids were polite and helpful which was great to see. I think they hire the good ones.
So I would say give it a shot. I think we will be back! -

We've been to Brooklyn's half a dozen times, and it has always been a wonderful experience. I have had NY-style pizza at a number of places in Brooklyn and Manhattan and this is as close as I have found in Dallas, and that includes Grimaldi's and Sal's.
The crust is crisp and chewy and is perfect for folding. The sauce and toppings are scrumptious and plentiful. It may take a while longer to prepare, but that's because they make each pizza from scratch after you order it. And they are hand-tossed and cooked in stone ovens, not on a conveyor through a convection oven, like they use at Pizza Hut, Dominos and most other chains.
Even when rushed, the service has been excellent.
But best of all, they have been sending terrific coupons to their insider club members. The past few weeks we've gotten $10 off just for saying the "magic" phrase. And tomorrow's special is a free pizza, up to $11. I get coupons and discounts from dozens of restaurants on a regular basis and that kind of deal is unheard of! -

Brooklyn's has a few locations around DFW, and I first experienced them at my old job in Allen. The company used to bring in lunch for us and order 50-60 pizzas at a time from this place. I was able to taste a lot of their different pies, and I instantly became a fan.
Fast forward to their opening of one at Firewheel, and I decided to check it out w/ my gf. Decor reminds me of an old New York establishment. After walking in I was assaulted by little crowds of people looking at the huge menu not really knowing where to go to order. It was a bit confusing because they had this huge menu on a wall and booths around the front door area. Then you see this small entry to the order taking area.
The kitchen and prep areas are visible while you're standing in line, and it was fun to watch the workers bustle behind the scenes and build pizzas. After ordering you're given a number and find your own seat. There seemed to be A LOT of children at the restaurant that day, and they were running amuck through the narrow pathways where you can walk.
We decided to sit outside, as it was a nice day and I enjoyed the outside dining experience. The pizza was great and just as I had remembered from my previous experiences. Loved the pizza (I'm a HUUUGE pizza fan) and we took a few unfinished slices home which were just as tasty the next day.
The only thing that really irked me was the cramped feeling I got from walking through the restaurant. Overall a great experience, and I will definitely be returning. Next time I think I'll try some of their desserts. -

I've eaten at Brooklyn's twice and I live 650 miles away! The Firewheel location is near Grandpa's house and my family loves this place. There's even a playstation for the kids.
I am a huge fan of the pizza. The Brooklyn Meat is piled with meat and the crust is a delight. My kids adore the soda bar because they can squirt cherry, vanilla or chocolate syrup in their sodas. Of course, the combinations they came up with were not always delightful (i.e chocolate + fruit punch)
I've never visited while the place was packed. My only negative is that the service is a little slow and the counter is sometimes unmanned. -

I love Brooklyn's. They are definitely pricier than the national chains, but the pizza is sooo much better that the price is worth it to me. Their pizza crust is thin but still slightly chewy, the tomato sauce is full of garlicky goodness, the veggies and meats are always super fresh, and their mozzarella cheese is not too salty but not tasteless either. I can honestly say in all the times I've ordered from them, I've never gotten a bad pie.
Their calzones and stromboli are pretty good. For people who prefer calzones to pizza, I think you'd enjoy theirs (I'm a pizza girl at heart, though). Their pasta and sandwiches are OK - I've never been terribly impressed with them. Their salads are nice and crisp. The chopped italian is my favorite.
Next time you're in the mood for a true New York style pizza, give them a try. I've never been disappointed. -
Review from Amy G.
Good pizza (though not as good as New York pizza but what can you expect). Helpful staff. SO expensive. We bought 2 salads, 2 glasses of cheap-brand wine, and split 1 large pizza. It was around $60. I also don't understand why they don't just have a normal wait staff instead of semi-counter service.

I saw this place and instantly got excited as I've recently found the one in McKinney and my SO had never been. So we walked from the theater to Brooklyn's to eat dinner. Well, first came the salads...not nearly as big as the ones I'd recently had...then came the pizza. I ordered The Five Boroughs. My goodness there were a ton of toppings on there! So much so that they were falling off. My SO had the Chicken Stuffed Stromboli. Can I just say that I thoroughly enjoyed my one little bite of it! ;-) My one slice of pizza was so big that I don't think I even ate half of it along with my salad. Definitely worth the money, IMHO. The downfall is that I do wish the salad was bigger, the tables and flatware could have been cleaner and someone could have offered to bring us some more napkins, etc. I did enjoy it and would go back.

I love coming here. The service is good and the pizza is above average. It's a great pizza joint I definitely would recommend to anyone. Just watch out for the garlic bread, they tend to go a bit crazy with the garlic and it can be a bit too much.

The set up is fast casual, you order at the counter and they bring you the food. The menus main focus is on pizza, they have specialty pizzas and build your own. Small selection of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as pasta dishes, stromboli, and salads. The pizza is better than average, but could use some tweaking to really perfect it. The Garlic rolls are superb, hot and buttery. The real winner here is the stromboli, it is simply divine. The cheese is melted and gooey, the veggies crisp and flavorful. It comes in two options, meat, and chicken. I will gladly eat either, but it would be nice to see a veggie option. The crust is golden brown on the outside and flakey on the inside. I have yet to try anything on the desert menu, but they have many tempting options including canoli and almond creme cake.

We've been to Brooklyn's a number of times and find it consistently good. The calzone is really outstanding - my wife prefers the spinach and cheese. Me? Where's the beef? I prefer the Italian sausage and extra cheese calzone.
The pizza is good - the thin crust is done right. The garlic bread is great, though I think I saw my six pack turning into a keg as I ate it.
The service is always great and the owner obviously hires nice kids and trains his staff to be service-oriented.
The main beef is the cost - pretty pricey for pizza, even good pizza. I have one word to describe the prices - ouch! Even Uno's in Ft. Worth, which I consider the gold standard for pizza in the Metroplex, doesn't rip into my wallet this deeply...
Bottom line? If you're looking for a nice pie or calzone, great service, and a casual fun environment, and don't mind taking a hit in the wallet -

This is the best tasting pizza around. My husband and I love the Bronx pizza. The crust is even good. In fact, I usually don't eat crust but I always eat theirs. The toppings on this pizza are so fresh and delicious (the cheese is yummy!) Yes, the price is higher than most pizza places... it's worth it. We never go anywhere else for pizza. We're addicted!

We tried it twice. The first time the food was not very good, the garlc bread looked like bread with a jar of chopped garlic dumped on it. Being the ever optimistic people we are. We went back a second time, yuck, my husband's philly cheese steak was swimming in grease (puddle on the plate). So yeah, will not being going back there, to bad, it's a good location.

We went on a Wednesday evening. The pizza we ordered was 1/2 cheese and 1/2 Manhattan Veggie. The pizza was luke warm when we received it. By the second piece, it was cold. The crust was something between a pie crust and a pizza crust. You could just break off a piece. The cheese was very skimpy. The service was not very friendly either. This is not a place for kids either. A play area was mentioned, but it consisted of one or two machine type games. I would not waste my money here again.
