Review from Michael F.
Brooklyn, NY
So I walked in, and this kid and his brother are being helped by a cashier who knew both of their names, helped them sort through the figures, and knew their mother well enough to ask about her. There are a few local business cards on the table. There's a poster for a local music festival up behind the register.
I haven't bought comics in a while, mentioned one or two I had really liked. There's one staffer there and she made a few great recommendations, and told me when some other comics I might like more would be in. More importantly, she told me about a lot of titles that they didn't have at all, but I should get somewhere else because they're good comics.
I bought $13 in comics that were all to my liking, I was $2 under the posted credit card minimum but she didn't even mention it. I don't care what this place lacks in size or selection, I am buying every comic, toy and trade I'll need here unless they don't have it. That girl needs a raise.Listed in: Local stuff

These guys are living the dream. Well, if you're a hardcore horror-comic-toy geek, then it's the dream.
BMF is a small, but stocked, store in "South Slope" carrying all the major comics and specializing in horror toys, dvds and t-shirts. I thought Mom-and-Pop stores like this were a thing of the past, but nobody told these guys. They love what they do and it shows.
Great deals on comic books and they'll find you any weird product you're looking for. Specials on Italian Cannibal DVDs! -

When I moved to my fairly new neighborhood of Park Slope/Greenwood one of the first things I noticed was Brooklyn Monster Factory. I was amped to be living so close to a comic shop. It's right next to my laundromat AND the pizza spot so I can get food, comics and do my laundry on the days I don't drop it off :).
What Nick and Dan say pretty much nails it. I went in looking for something in particular and they didn't have it on the shelf but they offered to special order it for me. So if they don't have something on the shelf I'm sure they would be more than happy to order anything you want.
AND yes, I was in there for like half an hour when I meant to just pop in and out. But I love that!
Go. Support. :) -

Uncanny customer service. Super friendly staff. They have an extensive comic collection as well as many collectibles. A lot of t-shirts with your favorite heroes and villains. I always go to the sales rack and pick up several 90's Marvel comics. This place brings out the kid in me.I love this place!

This great little shop might not seem to have the largest stock, but that's more than made up for by the friendly, knowledgeable and all-around-awesome staff. It's always a pleasure to shop here -- though be forewarned: it's incredibly easy to fall into conversation with whoever's behind the counter and suddenly find you've been in the shop for far longer than you intended.
