For most of the summer I walked 30 minutes round trip every day to go to Brooklyn Gourmet for lunch.
The man who creates the sandwiches here as of this writing is a delicatessen god. Each piece of meat is sliced from the roast (and cheese from the block) seconds before it is placed into your sandwich. The proportions are perfectly balanced. You receive a free banana and cucumber. They stock blue and red Doritos.
The lines are long. Personal favorite #27 -- Free As a Bird. -

Not A bad deli at all. You usually can find what you need here and Wednesday night when I was on a quest for Honey Buns this turned out to be the place to go!
It's not very spacious in that every itch of the place has something on it whether it be a display or shelving for cans. So it get cramped really quick if say about 7 people were to walk in. They also make awesome sandwiches!!!
The staff is always so nice and like any other deli quick to ring you up and get you where you need to be.Listed in: Where Brooklyn At?

I only came in here for some random bags of chips and whatnot, but now I really wished I would have come in for a sandwich which everyone here on Yelp is raving about. Oh well- one day soon I'll be back for a sandwich!
Anyway, the place is noticeably cleaner than most deli/corner stores as someone else already pointed out.
The guys working there seemed friendly/polite.
And, one of my friends did get a BLT, and was raving about it all night. So that says something, too. -

Brooklyn Gourmet Deli makes delicious sandwiches. I've been coming here for about two years now and have always enjoyed what they've made me.
Also the place is CLEAN which is great.
The beer is overpriced and the lines for sandwiches can get ludicrous but other than that it's legit. -

THE BEST DELI ON BEDFORD.
I am not into sandwiches, because I find them easy to mess up. Someone once told me in passing, "I've heard BGD is the best deli on Bedford", and I was like, "Oh, yeah", but I really wasn't listening, and I looked at the fact that it looked just like any other corner store and thought, yeah right. Well, I live right around the corner from BGD, and I never cook, so it's a really cheap and easy way to get lunch.
SO GOOD. BEST SANDWICHES I HAVE EVER HAD. 75 percent of the store is set up just to make sandwiches. That says a lot. I have never had fresh roast beef as I have had here. The Boar's Head brand is supposed to mean something, but I've had pretty blah Boar's Head sandwiches in the past. I don't know what they do here to make it rock, but I'm just glad they're doing it. They don't tax, so the average hero is $7.
And, for a quick breakfast, egg/ham/cheese on a roll. With hot sauce and mayo. AHHH!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. -

I don't have much to add that hasn't been mentioned below...if you're in the mood for a solid deli sandwich (plus banana and cucumber) and feel like spending $7-$9, this is your spot.

Wow...is all i have to say. Best turkey club i have ever had. Not overstuffed with meat and cheese, it was perfectly balanced. They even throw in a banana and slices of cucumber. Amazing sandwiches for awesome prices!

Probably the best sandwiches in Williamsburg. This place has over 30 different sandwiches, and each one comes with a banana. Sometimes the lines can get a bit long, but these guys know how to run a deli.

I was skeptical to go here, because I don't trust bodega delis. I just get skeeved out at the thought that the cold cuts could be sitting there for God knows how long. My roommate convinced me to pick up a few sandwiches there and I was pleasantly surprised. First of all, the line was very long so that means they're going through their cold cuts fast enough that they won't spoil, and they must be good. Also, I saw a lot of cops there, so I know I won't be mugged. They have a lot of specialty sandwiches, too. My favorite is the honey bunny.

More love - the Godfather sandwich is insane! Coppa, soppresatta, salami, proscuitto and provolone with lettuce and tomato and oil and vinegar.

Brooklyn, NY
Neighborhood staple. Always clean, always well-stocked, always friendly. Most delis/convenience stores nearby are smelly and dirty, but these guys keep their place bright and clean.
Their sandwiches are the best in the neighborhood - they always use fresh ingredients and everything is made to order. Everyone loves Taha, or "Shorty," as he is known by his customers. Shorty makes the sandwiches on the night shift, and though he talks a lot of crap, he is darn good at his job and is a big softie.
Local cops love this place, you'll frequently see them loitering and buying sandwiches. -

Easily the best bodega along Bedford St. This place is always clean and well lit. The guys are very friendly and the little chubby guy that makes sandwiches at night (used to be the day guy) may talk a ton of shit but he puts out a great hero every time.
