Wow! This is one of the best kept secrets (no longer a secret) in Brooklyn, New York.
After having visited more than a bundle of libraries throughout the United States, I have come to the conclusion that this is one of the coolest, most professional-looking, great atmosphere (and smallest) libraries in our cities.
The decor is awesome. It is a round-type library, not the usually rectangle type bookcases. And, of course the topis of all the books range from botanic-related, trees, plants, gardens and those types of subjects for all of its books.
This is the place to go for gardening knowledge and gardening reference. Once you gain admittance to the gardens , you can check out the library. (I believe it is open to the public besides being open to Garden members; but check with them for details on the latest admission policies).
Found this place by accident when I was attending one of the cool festivals that happen at the Garden each year. What a super-fabulous find this was.
For gardening, botanica, and related topics, I rate this library a huge NINETEEN!
