My wife loves to visit the local library when we move into town. This location's staff was phenomenal and they had an awesome selection. The sign up process was accommodating since we did not have our Texas IDs yet. They went out of their way to use other information to sign us up. We will be visiting frequently and soon.

This is a well-equipped and user-friendly branch library. There is free parking around the building and multiple book drop boxes. Inside, there is the circulation desk to your right and reference to your left. In the center is an open area with computers--helpful for library catalog searches--and tables to sit, study, and work. The main room has rows of stacks. On the far side is the entrance to a reserveable meeting room and the teen area--usually a studious zone. On the opposite side of the building is the ample children's section, with a small computer lab, a playhouse, and tons of books. Brook Hollow is one of the best equipped branch libraries in the system. They have an active Friends group and lots of events. This place is a testament to how essential libraries are, even in this digital age.

This branch of library is pretty big, not very modern but they have a wide selection of books for every kid including 4 or 5 computers to look up stuff, play games or do their homework on. I like that the library has different areas for adults and another for children and they have the children's area decorated with dinosaurs and interesting kid friendly decorations.
Since poles are set up at the library. Vote early to avoid the crowd and people trying to influence you to vote for their party!

I really like this library. The size is great, the people are super nice! I usually put books on hold and pick up books here. The facilities are clean and comfortable. I love the $1 book cart. It's always fun to see what treasures are on there!

My only complaint would be that there is not enough parking and the parking lot is not shaped well. It is extremely inconvenient during voting season because people with signs are using all the spots and you have to park along the street. They should really push the people who are there for political reasons to park along the sides.

This is the library I am most frequent in SA- location is convenient and layout is organized, but unfortunately it's also pretty small. The computers are available by reservation only and the new release novels seem to be more limited here than at other locations, but the children's and YA lit sections are well-kept and plentiful.

As others have said, the high ceilings and open space design plus rude, noisy people does not make this a great spot for studying- there are a few tutoring groups that meet here after school and on weekends, but unfortunately there is not dedicated contained space or study corrals, so the noise gets to be a bit much.

Staff very courteous. Set up user friendly. Would've given it 5 stars if it was bigger. I'm able to place items on hold and it's delivered to this location.

This is one of the only two libraries I feel at home. It has a small town feel to it but it is always jam packed with people.

What I like most about Brook Hollow Library is the service. They have a strict line of where to stand when checking out and if anyone messes with it, they point to the back of the line.

The reference desk has been incredibly helpful to me as I am aspiring Graduate school or Law school (fingers crossed) and I need to study big but don't have the big bucks to throw down on the books.

My kids love the children's area and they always pick at least 20 books that they can scan themselves and print the receipt. It makes them feel very important.

The inter-library loan is just the bomb diggity. If you can't find it here, they will ship anything to you. I love, love, love it.

I really enjoy the San Antonio Library system the Brookhollow Branch Library is the one I frequent the most. I like how the library is set up plenty of places to hide and study in semiprivate, use their WIFI, or just sit back and read a book. This library was recently remodeled so it has a nice feel to it. If you can't find the books, CD, and Movies you want you can go online at http://www.mysapl.org/ and reserve it and they will send it to any library of your choice for pickup. If you register your library card on their website you can also get some digital downloads of audio books and video documentaries and Indie movies.

Overall I gave the Brookhollow Branch Library 4 stars, because the parking lot is rather small, and I thought the WIFI was kinda lagging and slow.

Great place to get work done. Friendly, helpful staff. Temperature is nice, not freezing. Restrooms are impressively clean. Good book selection. Solid wifi. Parking was fine. Not too busy but not eerily empty either. Bright and doesn't smell old and damp like older libraries. Noise level was fine, didn't need to put in headphones and could focus just fine.

Ran in here because I was leaving to go out of town & would be on the road for a while. Waited at Information desk while one lady was on the phone & a second came back. Although the second librarian was on her lunch hour, she took the time to help me find exactly what I was looking for. I've always had great help here!
