6 reviews for Brix Wine Bar
Loved this place. Staff is friendly, casual, attractive, hip. Food is excellent, with generous portions. I had lamb chops with very fluffy mashed potatoes and really tasty spinach. Friends had a duck leg, a salade nicoise, and a variety of vegetarian sides. All good. Wine by the glass was about $10, give or take a dollar or two. Good selection of wine by the bottle, heavy on the French offerings. I noticed they had a few Washington wines and weren't doubling the price, the way so many restaurants do.
I'm giving it a 4, but it's really really good.
French food fabulousness!
This is some of the best french food. You can't go wrong with Brix. I've frequented here a few times for brunch and have yet to be underwhelmed. The croque madame, eggs benedict, and omelettes are all amazing dishes. The prices and portions are right on par.
The bellinis and mimosas are a great morning treat : )
Definitely check out Brix for a great brunch. The service is great too.
And word on the street is that the chef used to be Meryl Streep's personal chef.
**Deal Seeking Diva tip** Check out the wine flight for $10. You get to taste 4 wines for $10, red and white flights are available.
Great little Wine Bar in the middle of the Berkshires. Went here after a long hike and a shower! We started with a 1/2 Fromage, 1/2 Charcuterie(Sausage/Pate) board with a wine flight. Then we both had amazing entrees & a glass of our favorite wine from the flight, Crispy Duck w/ a Poached Duck Egg & Steamed Mussels w/ Asparagus. The broth that the mussels were in was absolutely delicious, tons of flavor, the waitress brought over some extra bread so that we could both soak up the flavors. We ended with after dinner drinks, Apple Dessert Wine & Macallan Cask Strength Scotch(note to the reader, Cask Strength is without an already added spring water, a bit strong when ordered 'neat'.) and an absolutely amazing Creme Brulee. The food was delicious!
The service was great as well, we got a long well with our waitress and the Manager/Owner. We bonded over the snobbish people that were sitting next to us! That would probably be my only gripe about this place, the way that the room is set-up we were a little to close to the other tables and the people next to us were absolutely inconsiderate of the waiters which is a huge pet-peeve for me. So my only negative would be the arrangement of this small restaurant.
Definitely give it a try if you are a wine loving foodie! Great wine list as well, five pages deep!
Affordable and exotic at the same time, the local fresh ingredients in every dish at Brix leave you wholesomely satisfied and happy. There is no more knowledgeable place when it comes to wine - their recommendations have always been spot on and there isn't a bad bottle on their list. It's easily my most favorite restaurant in Pittsfield.
Yowza! This place opened 3 days ago and we dined on a Sunday night. Service was awesome. Decor is kick ass cool. Tomato soup is so fresh, kids menu is great (sloppy Craigs named after the chef). I love wine, but didn't recognize much of the wine on the list. Actually that was great because I had the syrah flight and a glass of white that blew me away for not so $$$$. Family of four that loves to dine spent $125 plus tip and felt like we got a great bargin for a really relaxing delicious night out. Will be back (like...once a week).
PS - You can dine for less, but we we love our wine and ordered more than usual :)
