I'm sorry but I have to disagree with the reviews for their Sunday Brunch.

My hubby and I came to eat here around noon today and although the property is breathtakingly beautiful, especially the outside patio area, the food just doesn't do it any justice.

First off, we are paying $30 a person for a very small buffet, consisting mainly of breakfast foods, a small dessert section of cookies and cupcakes, very little fruit and not much of a cheese variety, other than the soft creamy type.

Upon being seated we asked if there were any juice options and were told they had fresh squeezed OJ (they failed to mention the price, or that it went up) I believe my husband read in some of the reviews that it was a $3 fresh squeezed OJ with free refills. OK so waiter said, no refills but once our OJ came, we did not expect to get barely "half" (that's right, you heard me!) of a wine glass. Once our bill arrived the total for two OJ's (about 3-4 ounces at the most) came to $9.  Even for fresh squeezed organic, it wouldn't cost that much and at the very least, they could have poured a whole 8 ounces of it!

Overall, we tried to like the food and perhaps it would have tasted better had it actually been "warm" however, most was at the best "luke warm" and others were near cold and flavorless (wouldn't hurt to invest in a better heat lamp!)

In the end, our bill came to slightly over $80 not counting the tip yet. If I had known it was that much, we would have just gone to Mustard's or Red.

The Good:

-Nice location and breathtaking scenery
-Romantic outdoor area with fountain
-Attentive waiters (for the most part, although they kept taking my silver wear with the plate and not replacing it until we had to ask)

The Ugly:

-Highly over priced buffet
-inadequate selection
-most food was bland or cold
-Rip off on OJ for the portion
-and did I mention OVERPRICED??!!

Unless you're just looking for some great scenery, planning a wedding or a romantic place to take your significant other, I would suggest eating elsewhere for the price as far as the Sunday Brunch is concerned. Otherwise, I'm giving this place the three stars just for the scenery alone.

Really struggling to understand how this place gets less than 5 consistently. Our experience was first rate. Very attentive staff who were as helpful as you get, gorgeous venue with nice outdoor seating which feels more relaxed and nice bistro style seating indoors, feels a little like House of Prime Rib...

Menu is sensational, sure it's pricey but ya dont come here for a cheap snack. Special won me over, rack of lamb was sensational, total food heaven, oh so damn tasty. Still drool thinking about it. Salad was an incredible combination of flavors, cannot remember which one we ordered but it was very creative, fresh and enjoyable, if small.. My lady ordered the beef filet (don't ask me how overcooked she requested, it hurts to say it), despite said cooking preference it was excellent, decent size and very tasty and tender, full of flavor and done just as requested... ouch.

Shared a berry cobbler and it was a super tasty, well prepared dish, with a few fresh blackberries too which is a nice touch.

Fanastic dining experience, great location, superb food (some of the best lamb since leaving Australian shores) and impressive service, hard to fault.

The lunch menu at Brix is pretty casual. Pizza, sandwiches and a few selections from the grill (chicken, salmon, etc). I enjoyed my zucchini, pesto and goat cheese sandwich with zucchini fries, but what it really wanted was an heirloom tomato and some sort of dipping sauce for the fries. Hubby's roast beef BLT had a nice blue cheese on it...but I guarantee the tomato was not out of the garden.

The outdoor patio is lovely, surrounded by vineyards and the restaurant's garden. Solid three star food that has nice flavors...but makes you think, "now if they'd only added X." We like the back patio setting, where we had our wedding rehearsal dinner 10 years ago...but the servers seem always to do something laughable. This time I'd let them know it was our anniversary and so after we'd paid the bill, the waitress came by and said, "Happy Anniversary. If you'd ordered a dessert, I would have written Happy Anniversary on it."

Well Brix, if the service, or food were better...or maybe just not quite so overpriced for a couple of sandwiches, I'd have given ya a fourth star.

It is wonderful restaurant but Thanksgiving dinner was in some ways a disappointment. The pace of the dinner was too fast. For $200 I  did not expect to  be rushed. There was always someone waiting to take a plate or bring a plate and it soon became obvious that they were not interested in my comfort as they were moving us in and out. We had not finished our first wine pairing when the second course arrived and we were given the check before any offer for coffee. The ambiance was wonderful and the servers were polite but the pace of the dinner resembled in n out burger more than a $200 Thanksgiving Holiday meal.

Beautiful outdoor garden. I loved the yellow and blue decor. Excellent place to have lunch on a sunny day. Food was also just as good. I ordered the open face beef sandwich, which surprisingly was a rendition of the traditional vietnamese sandwich--AWESOME!! The beef was succulent and flavorful and mounded on house made sourdough bread. My absolute fav. The marinated carrots and radishes were great too. The only thing I would have added is some jalapenos for some spice. I don't know about the other main dishes but the two salads we got were super-fresh--ingredients straight from the garden.

The Brix is a superb restaurant. I'm surprised it's only got 3.5 stars here. My fiancé, now wife worked with Matt to have our reception lunch there Nov 23. He's almost like a friend to us now. The food was fabulous, and the prices were resonable, especially considering it's in Napa. Every time I'm in Napa I'll be eating here.

Out of the ashes in Napa, rises a Phoenix called Brix.  Brix's Sunday buffet is back.  It doesn't get much better than fantastic food, beautiful weather, and eating out on their outdoor seating area while taking in the landscape (private gardens and vineyard).

Started out with their seafood table that included perfectly seasoned clams, fresh jumbo shrimp, and oysters. Moved over to sample their wonderful cheeses and homemade breads. Only then did I make my way to their main brunch selections, which included sour dough pancakes with pecans and powdered sugar, spinach pizza, Sonoma lamb & garlic sausage, and chickpea puree.  Finally, I stuffed myself on their freshly made deserts: homemade oreo, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cupcake, and a few other goodies.  Honorable mention to the tasty freshly squeezed orange juice, albeit an expensive glass at over $3.00.

Downed a cup of coffee before taking a stroll around the grounds. A great Sunday morning. Five stars for the best brunch experience ever.

Great place for a romantic getaway dinner. Nice pairings of wine to go with your mouthwatering rare steak and potatoes or your 2-inch pork chop medium-rare.

They have their own garden in the back where most of the produce is grown for the kitchen. You can actually stroll the many veggie aisles to walk off the calories put on.

Brunch is okay but the dinner is the best! Sit down by the window and experience the perfect sunset. Aww... how sweet.

The wine sommelier is awesome.

We showed up at Brix at 3:00 after doing three extensive tastings and realized the full menu wasn't available. Oh well! We were famished and didn't want to bother driving somewhere else.

All I can say is the Chicken Sliders were perfect. A very simple dish made excellent by avocado and a tangy aioli. Perfect portion, perfect bites. The fig and bacon pizza was apparently great too.

Recently we were guests at a Sunday wedding at Brix and I must say it is an absolute stunning venue for a wedding.  The wedding took place out behind the restaurant overlooking the vineyards towards the mountain...it was a most breathtaking venue for a wine country wedding.

After the ceremony, during the cocktail hour, there were tons of passed hor d'oerves including: a tuna sashimim tartar served on a crispy seaweed chip, heirloom tomatoe bruschetta, shrimp skeweres chopped mushroom sliders to name a few.  The appetizers were very good and plentiful and the staff was very attentive to all the guests (60 wedding guests in total I believe).

After the cocktail hour a salad was server followed by a main course.  I had the halibut which was delicious, while my wife had the filet which was absolutley incredible.

For a wedding venue in the wine country, I think Brix would be hard to beat...it offers a breathtaking location for a ceremony, followed up by a fantastic private room, with an attentive staff that serves excellent food.

My wife and I have decided to try it for Sunday brunch next time we are in Napa.

Since Mustard's is so damn busy all the time, we had to go to Brix.  They have a very nice place, since you can sit outside and watch their gardeners tend to their vegetables that they apparently pluck & toss into their kitchen for their dishes.

Their menu is disappointingly small and I felt like I had no choice but to order their Herb-Roasted Chicken.  My wife ordered the zucchini bread and the fried zucchini fries, which were ok.  My chicken was just average: has average flavor and it was somewhat tender.  It's what you'd expect in a restaurant of this caliber.

The only thing that bugged me was how long it took for our food to come out.  WTF?  The waiter came by and apologized to us on how long the food took to come out.  We also heard the manager apologize to other tables about the delay in the arrival of the food.  Who the heck was cooking back there... the Hell's Kitchen cooks?  Was Gordon Ramsay calling everyone fucking donkeys for taking so damn long?

I was also there on Nov 1 for brunch and it was no treat, more like a bad trick I paid plenty for.  The outdoor  atmosphere was nice and the service was attentive.
We arrived late and the limited food that was left, was all cold but the cheese was great room temperature.  The best was when I asked if the shrimp were wild or farmed and told they had to be farmed because they weren't consistently good all year if wild... so they have consistently bad all year!  I'll just wait for Galveston I guess.  I'm usually all over dessert but the arrray was very boring, nothing seasonal and the best were the 3 cookies.  Pathetic!
One in the party chose and I said next time we'll either go next door where the lot was jammed or drive to Ad Hoc.
Never again!

This is a great place for a fantastic lunch.  The food and service is top notch.  I had a pizza which was so good. It's not ordinary pizza. This is the one just like I had in Italy.
Second, this may have been the best service I have received at restaurant in Napa .

Considering that I was attending a wedding held at Brix, I must disclaim that I know nothing about the costs or transaction fees... and that my view might be somewhat biased because let's face it, my fatal flaw is cuisine au gratis. But never mind that...

The restaurant is located right in the heart of wine country and offers an intimate "backyard" setting for those who favor afternoon walks over siestas - although the outdoor sofas are very inviting for those in favor of the latter option. Across the verdant lawn, there you will find rows of various fruits & vegetables grown in their well-maintained garden, ranging from strawberries to zuccini, and from zuccini to, of course, grapes. The area by the fountain is perfect for a small get together (like, a wedding).

Although I have not had a chance to scrutinize their menu, I find their prix-fix menu for a small wedding somewhat limited but not at all disappointing. The ingredients used for the peach and butter lettuce appetizer were very fresh - the peach slices were perfectly ripened and added a sweet, tangy undertone to the salad. Meanwhile, the chicken with creamy oatmeal like substance (don't remember the name) and mushroom was surprisingly juicy - let me make that clear - REALLY tender and juicy. And usually no one can get it right, but Brix did it and have won my respect. We did not have the honor to try one of their delicious desserts unfortunately... In addition, their coffee was superb: aromatic, creamy, and, for the lack of the perfect word to describe it - strong.

Now let's also not forget about their 5-star service there. The servers our table had were equally delightful to talk to and attentive to our needs without being overbearing. Obviously they must have had impressed my friends so much that the couple decided to host their wedding ceremony & reception there.

Overall my experience at Brix was enjoyable. Next time when I grace the area again, I will not hesitate to come back and try out their other selections.

We went for the brunch buffet which was absolutely fabulous.  Different stations set up around the restaurant.  The standouts were the cold-smoked salmon and the cheeses.  I love cheese so I stuck mainly to that table.  Nice selection of hot foods as well.  Nothing was "plain and simple."  Everything had a twist or a unique ingredient/flavor.  The applewood smoked bacon was cooked super crispy and had amazing flavor.  The mini dessert selction was great too.  I have no idea what the pricing was, but everything was great.  The gardens out back are a wonderful place to meander around or sit and relax after a great meal.

Even though a friend who lives in Napa thoroughly dislikes Brix, I've never been disappointed.  When friends visited this past week from New Orleans, we initially opted for Mustards but, when we were told there would be a 45 minute wait and Brix could accommodate us immediately,
we didn't hesitate.  We were not disappointed.

We dined about 5PM on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was nearly empty.  A few folks were eating outside but we opted to stay in, because of the warm temperatures.  The gardens were lovely, though,
with everything in full bloom.

Since we had  a late wine tasting with cheeses at Domaine Carneros, we weren't starving when we got to Brix.  My friend had only the butter lettuce and pecorino cheese salad and a delicious white corn and porcini mushroom soup.  I, who can never be too full, chose an appetizer of crispy friend green beans with a hot mustard sauce.  They were just lightly battered and they were really good!  My entree was a lamb osso bucco on creamy polenta - and there wasn't a single tidbit left on my plate.  The Sonoma duck breast, with creamy farro, fava beans & morel mushrooms was excellent as well.

No one else ordered dessert but me - strawberry rhubarb sundae with anise ice cream and biscotti.  It was pushing it to share it four
ways but we each had about a spoonful - great combination of flavors!  Next time, I will NOT share.

Service was impeccable...but, of course, the restaurant was almost empty.  I've never had anything but good service, however, even when the place is full.

We stopped by here for brunch before we headed out for the wineries!  We arrived around noon, didn't have reservations, but were seated immediately.  It started geting really busy around 1PM - so if you're planning to stop by afternoon or you have a large group, you should make a reservation.

It's a great place for Sunday brunch - it's about $35 per person so come with am empty stomach so you can chow down!  Mimosas and Bellinis are a must! It's $6 for each glass.  Service was excellent - they were very attentive and each time we left our table, the coffee/iced tea/water were refilled and new utensils were provided.

There is a very nice garden in the back - they grow a lot of veggies, fruits, flowers, etc - so it's nice to take a stroll back there after your meal.

This is a beautiful restaurant!!!!! great outdoor patio with a wonderful view!!!. The menu is pretty casual and nothing out of this world. The only thing that I really didn't like was the service being so SLOW. The restaurant was not full at all and they forgot to bring the glass of wine that I ordered and bread, etc. If you don't care to wait this is a pretty good restaurant to visit with average food............at least for lunch time.

I took a large group (9) out for a Napa Valley wine tour and after a stop at the Turnbull Wine Cellar in Oakville we backtracked a bit for lunch at Brix. We were seated very quickly given the size of our group. A variety of selections were made by the group and everyone was very pleased with the results. The personal pizzas seemed to make the biggest hits. A nice selection of local yet non-mainstream wines were available in the gift shop too. A excellent location for the hungry Napa Valley tourist.

After a long afternoon of wine tasting we made one final stop for dinner reservations. The warm and cozy environment was so welcoming and it was perfect for the gloomy weather outside. After a couple of minutes reviewing the menu, we decided on getting a couple of small dishes to share.

The cheese plate came with delicate servings of four different types of cheeses, apple slices, spiced almonds, few pieces of dried dates, apricot jam, and bread. My other favorite were the clams, served with a warm sauce drizzled on top and presented on a bed of sea salt. I thought the fennel sausage pizza wasn't the best, but was decent. I would probably go for something from the grill or a pasta dish the next time around. My least favorite was probably the cheese polenta- served in a cute, mini cast iron pot. Though the presentation was cute, the polenta tasted a little plain to me.

Since we started dinner with a cheese plate, we opted not to get a cheese dessert. They offered baked desserts and pastry. Ultimately, I had to try their warm, spiced apple crisp with dried fruits, served with vanilla ice cream. This was one of my favorite for the night.

Perhaps my expecations were too high after having heard about Brix from others but I was a little disappointed.    The food was good but I'd expected phemonenal.    I'll definitely give them another shot on our next trip to Napa but if given a choice of Brix or Mustard's, I'd pick Mustard's.

We sat on the patio which was lovely on a warm August night last summer.     The only downside was a slight smell of smoke from nearby wildfires - certainly not the restaurant's fault!

We went there for BRUNCH on Sunday and it was very pleasant.
Upon arrival and since we had reservations, we were promptly seated in the patio (but decided to move because it was a bit chilly).
The view was beautiful, besides the food a stroll through the garden is also recommended.
The cheese table was one of the best I've seen. Great variety I absolutely fell in love with the pate and red hawk artisan cheese with the rosemary biscuit.
The seafood bar had the normal stuff that you'd expect in a nice brunch buffet: colossal shrimp, absolutely out of this world smoked clams and the oyster ... well, the later was not my favorite variety... very juicy but with a hint of bitterness when you bite. If you just swallow your oysters, these were nice.
The hot entree station had a beer cherry salad with blue cheese (if I'd not get a huge solid chunk of blue cheese this would be wonderful), a tuscan style chick pea salad (very nice), quinoa taboule style salad (for quino this was ok), waldorf salad (missing seasoning, not really that good), fennel sausage pizza (Ok), housemade pasta with meat ragu (very good) and leak quiche (very good).
By the time we've got to the desert table, maybe because we're full, but nothing really impressed me. The deserts looked beautiful but didn't taste as wonderful. There were brownies ... very chocolatey but missing sugar... so if you like dark chocolate you'd like this. I'm old fashion, I like my brownies sweet. Cupcakes ... they were cute and taste light with a bit of a crunch... not overly coated with frosting or whip, just very nice.  Then berry cobler, very berry, nice balance. Housemade oreos, and cookies were not a hit with me... they're on the very crunchy side, I like my cookies a bit chewier. The star was a nut bar with toffee... that was memorable.

The ambience was nice, the staff was prompt but some people there were quite pretentious... this place has a nice calm and relaxed and semi casual atmosphere. The prices were right for this kind of brunch and setting.

Don't you hate when you're trying to enjoy a nice lunch in Napa and a group of drunks stumble into the place? Yeah, sorry but that was us yesterday. The staff at Brix has no problem setting up a table for 9 on their patio (after we were quoted a two hour wait at Mustard's) and we were treated to a fantastic lunch. From the pizzas to the oysters to the burgers, everything was great! And don't even get me started on the bread and butter...I must have gone through at least a loaf on my own.

Service was top notch, from our patient waiter to the manager who made sure and kept our wine glasses full at all times (and waived our corkage when we bought a bottle off their list) Prices seemed quite reasonable considering the setting and quality of the food - I wouldn't hesitate to return to Brix when looking for a great lunch in Napa.

A coworker recommended Brix to us so we thought we'd give it a try. We had reservations for 9.30pm, but arrived at 9pm. They said they have a table available now but out on the patio. Since everyone was hungry, we opted for outside. Maybe that was our mistake.

After being seated, we waited.. and waited.. and waited for our server to take our drink order. After seeing how long that took, we decided to order our food at the same time. Eventually, food came and that put us in a better mood. When we finished, we were debating on desserts. Of course, we waited.. and waited.. and waited for our waiter to ask about their dessert offerings. Again, we ordered our dessert as soon as we had the chance, and when we were done and waiting for our check, it was the same waiting sequence again. Bus boys and other waiters were already clearing the other tables and turning off the heaters, and we were still sitting, waiting for our server to come by so we could get the check. Sadly, none of the staff that walked by while cleaning paid any attention to us, otherwise maybe we could have gotten out of there sooner.

Food was great, service on the other hand was no where to be found. Price was... ok? There were 4 of us total, we shared 2 appetizers, had our own meal and dessert and drink.. $70/person.

We came in late for dinner and they still served us without any attitude. Seating inside or out on the patio. We sat in the dim indoors. They had a simple but pricey American menu. Ronald was our server and offered the evening specials.

I had a fantastic beef filet. It was atop asparagus and a smudge of mashed potato. Everyone enjoyed their dinner from pork to seafood. I was impressed to hear that they grow their own vegetables.

Dessert was outstanding and did I mention this was for my birthday dinner? I chose the Chamomile custard and it came out with a candle and Happy Birthday scrolled on the plate in chocolate. The brownie dessert was delicious as well and they also have liquid dessert-- some had absinthe which was presented in a snifter with a spoon and sugar on top.

It's a nice place with neat fixtures like chandeliers with glass bottles and backs of booths that look like the outside of a barrel. We had good service even at the last minute, great food followed by dark chocolate truffles in a Brix box along with our check.

4 stars.

Came here for lunch during a recent trip to Napa. When we first arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty, but quickly filled up as it got closer to 1 pm.

The day looked to be somewhat sunny, so we initially asked for outdoor seating. But once we were brought outside, we found that is was actually quite cold as all the seating was in the shade. They were able to accommodate us by moving us back inside without any problems.

We started off with the Antipasto Salad ($13) which was only okay. The salad had salami, goat cheese, red onion, olives and argula with a red wine vinaigrette. Nothing to rave about here.

I decided to go with the steak and eggs ($20) which I thought was really, really good. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy and the steak was juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. The steak came with some caramelized onions on top. There was also some sort of potato on the side.

I had a sampling of my friends grilled gruyere cheese and honey roasted ham sandwich ($15) which was also quite good. This entree came with a French onion soup which I didn't try.

I'd definitely come back to this place on a future trip back to Napa. The service was very friendly and quick to respond to our needs.

I came here with a group of friends on our recent trip to Napa. We overshot the restaurant and ended up at Mustards (I still want to try this place) and turned around and finally arrived. Inside the restaurant they have a gift shop that sells wine (duh! you're in Napa), dishes, scarves, and candles and stuff... and then i saw that chick from the Millionaire Matchmaker show on Bravo! Too bad no one in my group watches that show so they had no idea what i was talking about but i got semi-giddy...ANYWAYS...

So, initially we were seated outside but it was a little too brisk for my taste so we were moved back inside. I loved the decor inside. I had the perfect view of their wood wine room and above my head was this giant chandelier with empty wine bottles hanging from it. When I saw the wine bottles dangling above my head I did think "does Napa have earthquakes....hmmmm"... then the waiter came by and took our drink orders and that put an end to that thought! Stella please!!!! I ordered the Gruyere and ham sandwich that comes with a mini french onion soup. The french onion soup was right on and the little soup dish that it came in was so cute (i think it was cast iron) and the sandwich was cheesy ham goodness. And the whole time i was eating i got to see the millionaire matchmaker chick!

Although I gave it four stars, I'm not quite sure if I'd ever go back.

Ambiance here is awesome, neat decor and a nice dining area outside. Of course, a beautiful view.

My main entree was the most disappointing. I had the pork chop (from Snake River Farm, so I anticipated yumminess), which was bleh. Definitely overcooked, a nice pork chop like that should be medium, also it was too charred. The cabbage with the pork chop was great though. The appetizer was weird. Tuna tartar on this Nori fried potatochip-esque type of thing. The fish tasted off, not quite sure if it was as fresh as it should've been. We also had the crispy green beans, delicious! As a matter of fact, I'm craving them right now! My man had the fennel sausage pizza, which was much better than my pork chop, but he didn't share much. The desert-ice cream sandwiches and smores-adult style. Loved it, just needed a fireplace!

The service...hmmm. Well, honestly it was a little slow, but I am not blaming the server. He was completely accommodating and helpful, and most importantly, NOT RUDE. However, the service was slow because I think he had too many tables, he took care of us the best he could. He was running around being a hustla'. It would've been nice to see some of the other team members helping him out. But instead they moved some chairs around and polished some glasses. Rat bastards, obviously not a pooled room-but hey we took care of him so hopefully he hogged all of his tip to himself.

mmmm, love Brix! After several packed restaurants on a rainy day (no go at Mustard's and Rutherford Grill) I hopped on my iphone and scored a reservation for Brix, which I'd been wanting to try.

Similar to Mustard's you can get your comfort on, but Brix is a little more fancy and a little less down home which is kind of nice if you're not up for the hustle and bustle. Really loved the wine list, the fried green beans and the fennel sausage pizza, which had a delicious sweet crust, and the braised short ribs which came with an inspiring apricot cous cous.

I would certainly be back. Especially since it's right off the St. Helena Highway.

Ladies who lunch is the best way to sum up this place. It's a beautiful restaurant, with old wine barrels turned banquettes and silverware as chandeliers. There's a large patio leading to an herb and vegetable garden, which broadens out to the rest of the valley.

Service is slow as heck. Took a while for the waiter to come and get our drink orders, and then took a while for him to come back and get our lunch orders.

But I did have the best chicken salad ever. It was the chicken tangerine salad, but it was partly wrapped in these almond crepes that were awesome. I started with the butternut squash soup which was very tasty. I believe the soup was $9 and the salad was $15. Pretty decently priced. Fellow lunchers had the fennel sausage pizza which was thin and personal-sized. Thumbs up on that and the grilled ham and cheese sandwich, as well as the bibb lettuce starter salad.

Iced tea is tropical and they have a great selection of wines by the glass. Awesome food, great atmosphere, but you could light a fire under the service.

Love to see this beautiful restaurant where it should be-on top of the "place to go" list!
I have watched it Morf over the years, and even though there have been bumpy spots, too me it is back to the Glory Days!
Love the "feel " of the place and the way the place hummmmms. I highly advise anyone with a doubt to check this place out-again! It remains the epitomy of garden dining in this beautiful valley. The vibe is wonderful, the food is fabuloso and the staff is attentive and happy-way to go!!!!Can't wait to get back there!

Organic Ingredients!
Foie Gras appetizer came out on a platter with a strawberry/honey sauce, bedded on a short bread firm brioche (almost cookie like), with a fresh strawberry sliced lenthwise in half.  The cook seared the foie gras a bit too much where the edges were burnt.  It was tasty, but I've had way better.

The salad ordered was tasty with blue cheese, candied walnuts, pommogranite seeds; and the mixed greens.  Very tasty and elegantly presented.

The main course of Rack of Lamb was perfectly cooked, medium rare.  It was accompanied with a basil and mint leaves salad and a potato gratin.  The lamb melted like butter.  The sauce was the lamb au jus.

To end the meal, it was somewhat a dissappointment with the chocolate fanicier topped with fig ice cream and a chocolate covered fig.  I was expecting the fanicier cake to be moist; and firm as described, but it was just firm.  The fig ice cream was all gone, but 3/4s of the cake was still standing.

The Pinot Noir, 2004 Ten Rows, Carneros Napa Valley went perfectly with the Rack of Lamb.

For a Napa Valley restaurant, the service was below average at best.  Had to ask for bread several times.  Didn't see the waiter and asked different waiters for bread and coffee; and until the time we asked for the bill, we saw our original waiter.

I rated this a 3 star of five because the food was delicious and organic; and if the service was better, maybe a 3.5 or 4.  The region is beautiful, but for the money, one deserves better attention.  I've had better.

3.5 stars on the food but they only get 2 stars overall for their lacking service.

Visited with two friends for lunch today and while we were seated promptly, the attentive service stopped there. We had to wait a very long time for our food to come out and the server did not follow up with us at all to update on what was taking so long. It didn't make sense because the restaurant was near empty when we were there as it was towards the end of the lunch time.

While the service was lacking the food was actually quite good. We collectively had the burger, salmon and chicken. Each were delicious and no complaints in that area!

Would definitely give them another try but two strikes and you're out.

This review is based on a trip from a few years ago, after a very long day of wine tasting with a boyfriend and my parents. So the details of the meal are sketchy at best, but from what I can recall, Brix was a let down.

I remember really wanting to go to Mustards', but we had failed to make a reservation and I had heard good things about Brix. Should have gone somewhere else. As I recall, the entrees were underwhelming and nothing really stood out. I believe I ordered a steak entree and was unimpressed. Next time I go to Napa, I will be heading to Mustard's like I originally intended. From reading all the other reviews, I would say that my memory served me correctly - even after all wineries we had been to that day.

There are wayy too many great restaurants in wine country to settle for a mediocre meal.

After reading the reviews, Brix seemed liked the perfect spot for a late lunch in Napa.  And it definitely lived up to our expectations.  The service here is outstanding.  And the food was absolutely delicious! Nothing too fancy but the ingredients were all very fresh and tasty.  If it wasn't so hot we would have sat outside with a view of the beautiful garden.  Overall excellent experience, will definitely be going back next time we are in Napa.
