Britestar Tavern....Where your dreams come true. I have a Britestar shirt that says so. When I was officially deemed Britestar worthy, I was granted my shirt.
Dive. dark, dingy, cozy, good. There are two pool tables now. And I am learning to play. In this musty place that looks like everything is over 30 years old, the jukebox is nice and modern with a touch screen and endless song selection. Entertaining and always has a crowd around it. Peanuts and popcorn for snacking. Beers are decently priced with a choice of small or large mugs. They serve wine (sutter home) and those flavored Smirnoff bottle drinks. That's it. A mix of people (as most dives claim) but friendly. We often meet up for a night cap here or for pool on a lazy afternoon.
Great local watering hole. Loud Jukebox, big cheap beers on tap, ( hef, amberbock, domestics, etc.) peanuts and pretzels on the bar Beer / Wine only. 1 pool table, no food served. Kinda like the way an old western bar would be. Probably not the place for a first date...
Good place to talk to some of the old timers. :)
Olaf, the owner is a nice guy, usually there.
Occasional live music. (Saw Stan West once.)
