It gets the third star largely because it's the best of the breed at this rest stop, and the fare is a welcome change of pace. That said, everything here seems to have come out of a deep freezer -- even with "reheating" sandwiches come out cold or sometimes frozen solid in the middle, and none of the baked goods have tasted remotely fresh. Even the soup's been tepid. I realize that may be asking a lot for a rest area, but high volume is supposed to allow you to keep the stock turning over. I suspect they get a food delivery once a week and are under instructions to put things out as they're taken, without the potentially wasteful but appetizing step of thawing them first.

Yooooooo how was I so blind to this spot in the rest stop for the past 10 years?!? Just had their glistening blueberry cheese Danish and was literally shouting out words of praise, making my friends try bites and laughing at them when they asked for more bites. Went right to Yelp to bless this place with a great review.
Also got the cranberry muffin. Greatness. 5 stars when they put in a oven to warm up these dank delights.

Nice rest stop alternative to Roy Rodgers and Nathan's at Platekill. The chicken soup was gougily priced, but good, and the coffee, which took all of 30 seconds to obtain, unlike the Starbucks coffee or which a crowd of many enqueued nearby, was also decent.

Decent viennoiseries for a rest area. It's either this or Starbucks, so... not Starbucks. I recommend the friand.

Can be a bit more courteous. Also beware of the bill. They try to bill you for higher items assuming you would not notice.
