Bright Horizons 2nd Street Campus
2 reviews for Bright Horizons 2nd Street Campus
I was a teacher at Bright Horizons 2nd Street. I loved my peer co workers, we all supported each other and worked well as a team. The children and their families were fantastic and were also very supportive and kind.
However, working at BH 2nd street was a whole separate story. I was consistently stressed out by my director and asst. director and was completely unsupported. It felt like the company as a whole did not care about the individual sites or the teachers there.
If you are thinking of working for a BH center, consider it carefully, ask a lot of questions, make sure your paper work is in order and speak to the teachers who work there outside the center.
i'm a parent of a child at this center, although we're leaving soon, and i feel compelled to warn other parents about the negative environment that's taken hold in this center since a new director (the 3rd in 9 months) arrived this fall. the quality of interaction with parents has really gone downhill with the recent change--you get the sense that there's no joy in this place and a strong desire to squeeze as many kids in as possible to raise profit, to the detriment of the kids, who aren't getting enough attention from anyone there. i don't know how other Bright Horizons are run, but as a parent at this one i've been very disappointed recently by the quality of care my child is receiving, and that's why we're leaving (as are other parents as well). as to the previous two reviews, i'm not surprised -- it definitely feels like a toxic environment all around these days and no wonder the teacher turnover is high.
