Anna has officially been my hair sylist extraordinaire for about 6 months now and I LOVE HER!!!  I am crazy picky about how people do my hair, the length, the layers and the color - you get 2 tries with me and if I don't like or you're too expensive I move on.  Anna is perfect!  Not only does she have an excellent sense about what color and hair cut will look good on you, she's a lot of fun, totally affordable and a great person to talk to while you're in the chair.

I like this salon, it's got a serious funky and fun side to it which I can appreciate.  This place doesn't feel sterile and lifeless like so many hair salons do.  This place has personality, and so does everyone who works there.

I would feel 100% comfortable recommending Anna to my mom, my husband, a friend who wanted a purple mohawk and everyone in between.

Do you have an unhealthy obsession with your hair? Do you wish any part of your body above your eyebrows to your buttcrack would shock and amaze without any fear of permenance? Well! Do I know someone for you!

Chivahn at Bridge Blond is they best they get. Crazy hair, bright pink, and or red mohawk (like myself). She'll do it. Expertly, and craftily.

She's awesome! I know she pretty much works every Saturday, so there's always time to get that hair stuff taken care off and stuff.

I have hair ADD, I want to change it ALL THE TIME!  Finding someone who could actually achieve the change without totally screwing up my hair was a nightmare - then I found Chivahn, YAY!!

My hair is thick and hard to manage, Chivahn has tamed it. I can wash and go, it doesn't frizz out into a massive suburban fro from hell! My hair has had more colors in the last 6 months then it has in a long time and I LOVE it.

Chivahn is funny and sweet, she put up with my chatty barbie doll of a 7 year old on my first visit, their shared love of Hello Kitty didn't hurt! I make the 45 minute drive once a month to get my hair colored and cut with Chivahn - yeah, she's that good!

Hair stylist reviews are tricky.  I mean, there is just no one-size-fits-all in the world of personal style.  However, if you are hoping to find a stylist with mad coloring and cutting skills, who listens to what you want, will talk you thru the pros and cons of major or minor changes, then perfectly execute your collective vision, all the while distracting you with fantastic conversation in a super cute and cozy atmosphere . . .
I unreservedly recommend Chivahn at Bridge Blond.

I have had my hair cut by Susan for five years.  She has always done a great job and I think that Bridge Blond Salon is one of the best values in hair salons in the city.  I recommend her highly and hope this business keeps doing well.

I always enjoy setting an appointment to see Anna at Bridge Blonde as I am one of those people who HATE to get their hair cut (and will quite literally go MONTHS between cuts). It is nice to have a quaint little spot where you can sit, BS, grab a coffee a couple doors down, get an amazing cut (and color as I did this last time!) and walk out feeling beeeeautiful! Thank you Anna!

PS. Anna also fixed my icky eyebrows. Once you see her -- you will see why I asked for help. She is amazing.

I wondered at the wisdom of having Harmony cut my hair...   I'd sent her 3 photos of the haircut I'd gotten at the Park Salon in SF - photos of the haircut I'd loved, the one that looked pretty rockin', most every day.  But when I was waiting my turn, she said she thought those were the way I did NOT want my hair cut!  The words that were sent clearly said that I DID like it that way;  i felt a bit insecure at that, and wondered if I was making another mistake.

Well, I will say that:  1)  I stayed for the haircut and
                                   2)  3 weeks later, it became a decent cut  BUT
                                   3)  for 3 weeks, my hair was very flat
                                   4)  I liked Harmony after I got over her scaring me!

She did some undercutting, which on my hair, though it was meant to give it more body, simply made it much thinner.  (I don't think my kind of hair is her forte?)

I. Am. Devastated.

I came in for a trim and reshaping of my hair -- which I was trying to grow out in preparation of my upcoming nuptials. I had never been here before but read lots of good reviews, so I was expecting good things. When I sat in the chair the first thing I said was , "I'm trying to grow out my hair," and the stylist started laughing. She even turned to the stylist sitting next to her and then they both laughed. I'm not sure what was so funny about me growing my hair out, but it seemed like I had just made their week. I explained to her that I was about to leave for NYC and I was SURE my boyfriend was going to propose to me, so I was in the process of growing out my just-past-the-shoulders do so I could have lots more wedding hair options by that time next year.

She then proceeded to cut THREE INCHES off the back. By the time she got to the sides and I could see how much was gone it was too late. I was in shock. Then she convinced me to shorten my bangs even though I told her I didn't want them -- so I guess that's my fault for giving in. I hate my hair and I'm so pissed.

Then she cut my fiance's hair (he DID propose to me, by the way -- and now I have to get a hair piece for the wedding) and charged $35 to perform 90% of the cut with clippers. He looked like a combo between an old man and a frat boy -- quite the accomplishment since those are completely different life stages and my fiance is adorable.

I can't remember this lady's name because I was so mad I tried to forget about her, but she has curly hair, is middle-aged, and seems a little loopy.

Chivahn has done it again. I saw her saturday and she gave me the most amazing haircut of my life! I decided to go from past shoulder length hair to a cute short bob and I could not be happier. Everyone has been saying I look like a completely different person. Even the guy who works at 7-11 in my neighborhood who I see maybe once every other week noticed and told me how great it looks. Seriously ladies, go check her out!!

I almost don't want to write a review of Anna because I like being able to get in to see her quickly.  I needed to get all the years of coloring my hair dark out of my hair so I could go back to having red hair.  Other hair stylists were very reluctant to do it even though my hair is in good condition.  Anna had no worries and blonded me out.  Of course once I was blonde, I realized that I don't look that good as a blonde.  So back to Anna a couple months later to have more red put in it.  She rocked and I received so many compliments on my cut (new bangs) and the hair color.  Anna is friendly, professional and makes you feel comfortable.  That is a big PLUS when you are sitting in the salon chair for a couple hours.  Parking can be a little tricky if you are going to be there for more than 2 hours but I am looking forward to my root touch-up with Anna!

I got my hair cut exactly one week ago by Harmony at Bridge Blond Salon and I love it!

The location was easy to find and easy to get to by bus.

Harmony is great, she gives a head and neck massage while shampooing. She also uses mostly Enjoy products (free of sulfates), which I think is great. She was also very easy to talk to and really makes sure you are getting exactly what you want. Harmony is also pretty flexible with her schedule which I really appreciated because I called her for an appointment the day before!

The salon was very inviting and had a very homey feel to it.

So to wrap things up, I had a great experience getting my first haircut in Seattle by Harmony and have been getting non-stop compliments on it!

I love Chivahn, she gave me the most awesome pixie cut! Every time I have tried it before I ended up looking like my head was too small for my body, but she did it right! Plus she always takes the time to show me how to style it so I can at least get it really close to picture perfect.

The salon here is cute and kitschy, it manages to be small and cosy without being noisy.  I really just love the funky decor here, it brightened my whole day.

Just went to see Anna for my first haircut with her, and she was great!  I love my new haircut--it's very cute--and I enjoyed chatting with her.  She definitely kept me entertained.

Also of note: the haircut was only $35!  I'm ecstatic; it's way better than some of the $50-$55 haircuts I've gotten.  Even better, she offers complimentary bang trims between haircuts!  Yessss!

Anyway, I'm very happy, and I'll definitely be going back to the Bridge Blond Salon in the future!

I headed over to see Harmony at Bridge Blond Salon for the first time today thank to the fantastic Yelper reviews.  I have longish, wavy-on-the-bottom, straight-on-the-top, frizzy-all-over kind of hair.  I have rarely been excited about how I looked after a haircut.  That changed today.  Harmony happily took on the challenge of giving me an updated cut that would look more polished without demanding much styling on a daily basis.

I also went in proclaiming that I am no longer coloring my hair which looks pretty atrocious (my last dye job was bizarrely traumatic and the gray coming in with increasing speed made me feel is was time to call it on the color).  She listened to my frustrations and offered a suggestion for softening the transition with a partial foil.  While I was hesitant, I appreciated the thoughtful suggestion given without any pressure.

The entire appointment was lovely.  Harmony really listened to what I was looking for and considered the options.  She gave a fantastic scalp/neck massage (bonus).  She was delightful to talk with and the time passed quickly.  She took the time to style my hair, which takes forever to dry.  And, the best part, the end result was a haircut that I am excited about!

By the way, I also decided to go back and get the partial foil in a few weeks.

I first saw Harmony at Bridge Blond about a year ago, when I decided to chop my long hair off to a bob. She knew exactly how to handle my wavy, frizzy hair. When I decided it wasn't quite short enough after the first cut, she trimmed it up at no charge.

Now I've been growing my hair out, and she's done an equally great job with it at every stage in the process. I never knew my hair could look so great while growing out! She really listens and gives me a cut that fits me.

Harmony gives a neck and head massage during the shampoo, and I've been very happy with her waxing. She is constantly trying to broaden her knowledge and skills. I hope she never leaves Seattle as long as I'm here.

I look forward to going to the salon, too, with its funky decor and location in a nice neighborhood. I rarely have trouble finding a spot to park on the street.

I went to see Harmony at Bridge Blond Salon and had my first visit / experience with her yesterday. I was looking for a new stylist - the one that I had, while good, wasn't great. My other stylist, while great, always styled my hair the exact opposite (blew it out when I have curly hair) of how I normally wore it (I simply don't have the time to blow it out every morning) so I would never look the same as when he styled it.

thanks to Yelp, found Harmony, and wow - was I treated like a queen. She spent 3 hours with me, talking about my hair, what I was looking for, then added a base color and then 4 different foils to give my hair depth and dimension. Then off to the cut and style. I continue to love my hair today after I styled it on my own.

A couple of bonuses - she gives a paraffin treatment to your hands while your hair is processing. Then a scalp and neck massage. What I found very interesting though is her incredible knowledge of products and the research that she put into finding the right products that are as natural and the best to offer to her clients (as opposed to just going with Bedhead or Bumble and Bumble because it is easy).

Already have my next appointment booked! Oh and her prices are incredibly reasonable!

Well done Yelpers you have found me my new favorite hair stylist...
The hype about Anna is all true, she totally rocks.
I moved up from Portland about 6 months ago and had still been flying down to get my hair colored, well no more. She really IS the queen of blond colorists... I am SO happy with my cut and color, that I am quite sure Anna and I will have a long, lovely, blond relationship together for many years to come!

I have found my new hair home and couldn't be happier!

I was devastated when my stylist left town.  I wasn't sure what to do.  It had taken me years to trust someone with my hair.  And I had gotten to the point where I could come in and she knew the cut and knew that I loved to play with color.  I wondered if that could ever happen again.

Thanks to Yelper Kim for the recommendation of Chivhan!

I was a little shy having to call, especially after checking out her work online.  She truly is talented and had the pictures to prove it.  Why would she ever want to touch the multi colored rat nest that was growing on my head?  But she put my fears at ease and was totally approachable!  She was happy to take me and wonderful to meet.

I had never known there was a salon on Eastlake.  Seriously.  I just zoom through there on my way to downtown or my way to the university.  I wonder what else I've been missing?  I nabbed rock star parking in front after two loops around the block.

The salon is cozy and personal.  No, not like your Mom's bathroom.  More like being in some hip, cool chick's art loft.  Lots of yummy visuals and a sense of style that put me at ease.  It didn't feel sterile like some salons can be.  And it didn't feel dingy either.

Chivhan is amazing.  I told her my story and showed her my sad excuse for hair and asked her to create something pretty.  She did just that.  She gave me the most versatile cut I've ever had.  I have long, really thick, curly hair and she gave me a great cut that took weight off, let me part it wherever I want and I could straighten it or wave it and it still looks amazing!  Her coloring skills are impeccable.  I love color.  Especially red.  She gave me bright, bold red and hints of pink and orange.  I absolutely love it!

To top it off, Chivhan is just an amazing and interesting human being.  Having the pleasure to converse with her for a few hours made my day.

I've never had hair before where I'm happy to look at it every day.

Thank you, thank you , thank you, thank you, thank you!

Anna made my hair perfectly platinum blond and saved me from another day of self loathing.  plus she got me in the same day i called (she luckily had a cancellation...the stars aligned for me!)

Let me explain a little:  in an emotional freak out, i decided it was a good idea to use box color and dye my previously bleached head, RED.  not a cool, hip, edgy red.  not a pretty, strawberry blond red.   a muted reddish poopish red.

so for the last 3 months i have hated looking in the mirror.

ug. don't be a hair masochist like me.  and if you are and need help, call Anna to save you.

She took my hair from total blek, blah, boo... to super hot, hott, hawt  fantastic!!

she saved my life.  i am only slightly exaggerating.

Since the writing of my last review, i've come in for a shorter
cut, which was bootiful! (I've gone with a more dramatic bob)
Then just yesterday I came in for some coloring. It turned out
swell, i've gotten nothing but compliments and chivahn did
an amazing job as usual! I got to spend more time in the
back "lounge" area which I just think is impeccably decorated..
so no complaints there.

I am yet another who will sing the praises of Chivahn!  Chivahn was recommended to me early this year by another friend.  I have thick, curly hair and Chivahn has done an amazing job each time.

Chivahn takes her time with her your hair and will attack it with perfection.  She pays attention to detail and makes sure that your hair looks good.  She is also super friendly...none of that awkward "so how about that weather?" stylist banter wth her!

She is amazing and will take amazing care of you and your hair!

See the new short cut in my pic??? That's all the glorious work of Anna. BEST haircut/style I have ever had. She followed EXACTLY what I wanted, she listened and asked questions as she went to make sure she got it JUST right. I'm gradually getting to a certain length/style and she is working with it perfectly so the transition doesn't bug me.
She is also fun to chat with, making the time fly.

Even if I were flat broke, I wouldn't go anywhere else just because I need a haircut. This is the first time in my life where I don't hesitate to get my hair done because of the price or in fear of them doing it incorrectly. So much confidence in the person cutting my hair makes it so much easier.

My hair does not grow long, it grows wide. The key is to texturize, texturize, texturize! The aftermath of my haircut should like someone who has hair down to their butt got a buzz cut. Thank goodness Chivahn understands this. Four weeks after my haircut with her, my hair still feels light, has great body and good movement. It's a small miracle. Plus, she does bang trims for free!

Her prices are extremely reasonable for her services. She is an excellent colorist as well. She specializes in funky, fun colors, but if you are a business professional do not be afraid. She can give conservative highlight (or peekaboo fun highlights like mine) with the best of them.

Call her. Book an appointment. You won't regret it!

I've been holding off on getting my hair cut for months because the only cut I've had since I moved here from SF was a total botch job!

I happen to live just a few blocks from this quaint little salon and decided to give it a go based on it's fabulous rating.

Susan, the owner, cut my hair and I must say that I am most impressed! Not only did she do a great job with the cut, she also spent ample time styling and drying it for me, which is no small feat considering how much hair I have on my head!

It looks better and better every day and I most certainly will be back for more of her fabulous work and spunky attitude ; )

Chivahn has resurfaced and thank gawd for that.
I found her originally through a fellow Yelper. I needed a good colorist and she exceeded my expectations. She is awesome.
I am SO glad she found me and told me she had left Derby for her own chair at Bridge Blond Salon. I would have had a heart attack if I couldn't find her. She puts up with me and and does everything perfectly. Of course she is a perfectionist and that is not a bad trait for someone to have when they have scissors in their hand.
I love that she works on Sundays.
This past time, some random lady walked in and Chivahn gave her a free bang trim. Said lady did not tip. Bad random lady!

I went to Chivahn for peek-a-boo fuchsia highlights in my naturally dark-brown hair.  I exchanged emails with her trying to express what I wanted, but not knowing so much about hair color, I was fairly vague.  Well, Chivahn got it spot-on, completely right and now I have hair I absolutely love (see my picture; it's pretty awesome, clearly).

Though she seems to have quite a few customers that like the bright colors, I was happy with the trim she gave me and would definitely trust her to do more natural color. The thing about Chivahn is that she's both a savvy business woman and an artist.  This means you get beautiful hair and someone who is willing to work with you to get the results you want.  I'll be going back to her for sure.

Call her, she has her own line:  (425) 286 4172.

Also, the salon itself is cute and kitschy and everyone in there seemed to be enjoying what they were doing, which is always a nice atmosphere to be in.

I recently moved to Seattle from Santa Barbara, CA, where I had only been with two stylists in the past 5 years....So the task of searching for a new one was pretty daunting.  After looking on Yelp, I chose Chivahn and could not be happier.  She was extremely thorough even before my first appointment, and then made sure to book out enough time for me to ensure I left satisfied.  I just came from my second appointment with her, and my hair has already been transformed.  I let her do her thing with the colors she chose, after giving her a general direction, and it looks great.  I have a rainbow of reds and blondes in it right now and it looks fantastic.  It is stylish and unique while still looking "natural".  She did an awesome job on the cut as well, as I asked her to cut as little as possible while removing the dried ends - she succeeded.  I highly recommend Chivahn, and also recommend letting her go her own way with your hair - she is an artist and will not disappoint!

Chivahn has been doing my hair since WAY back when I first came to her at the Gene Juarez Acadamy.  I am the QUEEN of drastic color changes, and super thick hair, and somehow she always manages to get me to the color I want no matter what we did before.  She also managed to get me the exact Victoria Beckham bob I wanted last year, which was awesome.

Awesome.

I've followed her over the Bridge Blonde from Derby, and am now one of the redest of the reded heads.  Huzzah!  Considdering I was platinum blonde just a bit ago, and can easily wash my hair without significant fading, I'm a very happy girl.

Call her here: (425) 286 4172  Book it.  Get pretty.  This girl works hard, and I know I'll never trust anyone else with my hair.  I've never seen another stylist so consistant.

Chivahn is totally awesome!  Her business is Fuchsia Pheonix, and she has a chair here at Bridge Blonde.  I actually found her through yelp and then again through myspace.  I wanted a dread perm, and was really nervous about the chemicals after hearing horror perm stories from friends (those perms though were not done by Chivahn!).  First, she answered a ton of questions I had and was really nice about it.  She came in early to accommodate my schedule, and even bought me lunch when my hair was in curlers & I obviously was not lookin' right to be out and about.

She went way above and beyond to provide me excellent customer service, and when it comes to actually doing my hair she was just as amazing!  Her backcombing was the least painful I have ever experienced (I have had 2 previous dreadlock excursions), my dreads came out really tight/locked up feeling but not dry or brittle as I have heard some perms can do.  She also didn't give me lame grid-head and sectioned my hair off really well.

Overall one very cool chick who is really talented and a good business woman too, I will be coming back for maintenance, most definitely!

Harmony is very patient . . . I live in a state of constant ambivanlence about my hair. Want it longer, but not really sure I'll like it once I get there. Want it straight but not too straight (I have curly hair). Like it short (maybe). How about color -- yeah, let's do that. No wait, let's not.

I'm going to work with Harmony for awhile and see if I can make some changes to my hair -- I'm comfortable that she'll be helpful and knowledgable along the way.

Only downside of the salon is that they don't do any relaxing/straightening. So if I decide to give that a go, I'll have to defect to another salon at least for a while.

I just got the best haircut I've had in a year from Susan, one of the stylists at Bridge Blond Salon.  She was totally accommodating (fit me in the day I called!) and seemed to know instinctively what to do with my overgrown head of thick, wavy, frizz-prone hair that hadn't been cut in months.  I expected an inch off and got slightly more than that, but I'm not complaining -- it was a much-needed improvement after months of the Yoko Ono look.  Plus, Susan was quick (though obviously careful), and the price was really reasonable.  I was impressed.
I'm reluctant to give a five-star rating the first time I try a new salon, which is why there are four stars here (I'm merely jaded and assume every good hair-cutting experience is a fluke).  That said, I will definitely be back at Bridge Blond -- and raise my rating to five stars if I see that they're consistently as good as everyone says they are!

I have a special occasion coming up so I was looking for a special hair experience so I turned to yelp and I read about Harmony and decided to make an appointment.

When I was done I went to my sister's house so she could take a gander at my fab new hair -  I didn't say anything to her, but when I walked in the door she said, wow, your hair cut is amazing!

It really was!  I've been getting hair cuts, color, etc. for a long time now and you know how you just get that sixth sense as to whether or not someone is cutting your hair shitty or great?? Well I could just tell when she was working on my hair she was doing a great job!  And she seemed genuinely enthusiastic about my hair - something that rarely happens. Most stylists are always nice and chatty, but I would rarely classify them as enthusiastic about me and my conservative hair.

The salon is cute and eclectic and there was one other stylist and customer in there and at one point we were all laughing about the random art in there (my fave, they have a giant oil painting of Twiggy) and listening to the Shake the Shack program on KEXP (doesn't that make me sound cool) and laughing at the songs.  Good times!

Harmony gave a great hand/arm massage and head and neck massage as well - definitely something to consider when you think about how most places charge within the same range but would charge additional for extra spa type services.  Plus, when you're a hunched over office worker like myself, head, neck and hand massages are priceless!

One note, they don't have a receptionist here so if you call to make an appointment and have a stylist in mind make sure you ask for that person's number specifically.

This is a review for Harmony -
I made an appt w/ Harmony after reading the great reviews.  Harmony was excellent.  She was a very good listener.  We discussed about the hair style I have and what I wanted it to be; what my options were.  I had a choppy hair cut that didn't grow out too well.; started to look like a mullet.  I wanted to let my hair grow out to collar bone length and something that I didn't have to spend time styling.  I am a wash and go kind of girl.
She laid out the plan, showing me where she was going to cut so no mistakes on the length.  She told me how it should looked afterward.
This was the first time after many horrible lop-sided hair cuts that I didn't have to check to see if it was even.    The cut was that well done!
Wonderful stylist!  I highly recommend her.
PS:  Kindly remember that as w/ any service communicate; let the stylist know exactly what you want (w/in reasons) and where the length should be.  Harmony showed me w/ her hand where she was going to cut.  If you don't like the cut/style don't leave until it is right.  I have been told by some stylists that you should speak up there and then.  They might be a little upset because they are artists but at least you will go back to them because of the great customer service.

When I first moved to Seattle I used to frequent Rudy's and later Lucky 7.  At both places I invariably left with a choppy, asymmetrical haircut rendered by some disaffected hipster douchebag that was too busy yapping on and on about their lame ass band, preening *themselves* in the mirror or simply gargling on post nasal drip brought on by all the blow they'd been doing to take the time to give me a decent haircut.

Eventually I started going to one of the Aveda salons and while I always got an excellent haircut I was not too pleased about having to shell out $60.00 for it.  I have a pretty standard guy's hair style that takes all of 15 minutes to cut after all.

Then about three years ago a friend of mine referred me to Anna.  Not only does she give me a haircut that is every bit as good (if not better) than the one's I got at Aveda she charges a fraction of the cost.  She's also an absolutely delightful person that makes you feel completely comfortable in her presence.  There's nothing worse than having to endure some grumpy hairstylist fiddling with your head when its obvious they'd rather be doing something else.

Even if Anna one day decided to move the middle of Nebraska I'd still fly out there every six weeks to get my haircut by her!  Ok, I'd probably just start shaving my head but you get the idea ;)
