My first wedding dress destination was Bride Beautiful, and I will admit, after reading the reviews I was a little weary, but they were the only store in Georgia that carried the dress designer I loved.  So of course they didn't have the specific dresses I wanted and could not get them in unless I bought them (-1 star.)

Otherwise I lucked out and got an amazing woman to help me pick and choose dresses.  Her name is Taquita and I would advise you sticking with her, because the other women that were working that day were total shrews.  They were barking at anyone in their way, as well as to their brides-to-be.  They looked so angry, and said some off-color things to their customers that they kind of scared me!

As a person that is nearly traumatized even thinking about having all this attention directed toward me, the other ladies seemed very intimidating and would have scarred my first experience at poufy white dress shopping.  Taquita was calm, patient, saw what I did and did not like, and after I tried on my five dresses, ended up assessing my style and picked out another dress (that happened to be from the designer I went there for) and it ended up being my favorite dress.

I will keep shopping at other stores, but I am so thankful that I had a good first experience here because of the gentle help I had from Taquita!

Like others have said, I was nervous after reading the other reviews for this store.  However, I was in for a complete surprise - my experience was fantastic!  I was so relieved!

This is the first and last place I shopped for my wedding dress.  Cheri was my sales consultant and she did a great job.  I found the process easy and fun.  It might have helped that I went on a Thursday afternoon, so I didn't have to mess with a large crowd that you'd find on weekends.  The store set-up was nice too, all the dresses (except the clearance gowns) are displayed on mannequins and that makes them easier to visualize.

Cheri was great in giving feedback, making other dress selections for me to try, and suggesting different veils.  The prices of the dresses were way below what I was anticipating.  I don't think any dress I picked up was more than $1200, but I also wasn't looking at fully beaded ball gowns.

Overall, I would recommend this store to any of my friends for many reasons:  friendly, easy to work with, affordable, and big selection.

I went to Bride Beautiful after visiting three other shops. It was the worst experience I had in my search for the perfect wedding dress. First of all, my sales associate was not very personable. That would have been fine if all other aspects of my visit were exceptional. However, I learned we were not allowed to touch the dresses or even take pictures. A big part of the decision making process involves taking pictures. Then, the owner yelled at my bridesmaid for picking up a dress to show to me! I wanted to get out of that place as soon as possible, so I did. They would not write down the dress that I liked the most in the shop; probably because they did not want me to get it somewhere else. I went back to Wedding Angels where I got wonderful service and bought my dress. I would never recommend this place to anyone who needs a wedding dress.

After reading all the reviews of Bride Beautiful, I was extremely reluctant to look for a wedding dress there. But after striking out at all the other bridal shops in ATL, I went. I went and found my dream dress. I was helped by Gail York. She is fantastic!! She helped me find a dress, veil and shoes. Everything had to be ordered. Everything arrived within ten days of placing the order.  The entire sales staff has been wonderful, polite, friendly and super complimentary.

I went alone to try on dresses (all friends and family live out of town). So, I was a little sad and not really in the mood to be shopping for a wedding dress. But after meeting such a kind and professional staff, I was much happier.

This bridal shop is easy to find. Has plenty of parking. Great bridal gown inventory. They carry the latest styles and the prices are really affordable.

For a great wedding dress shopping experience, try Bride Beautiful.

My experience was FANTASTIC!!!  Gail York was my consultant and she made great recommendations, was funny, honest, and knowledgeable.  Gail gave great feedback and I completely trusted her eye.  They also did the alterations, which were done quickly.  I was slightly under the gun with ordering (ordered in July for Nov. wedding) and Gail helped to find my dress without having to pay the rush fee.  I couldn't imagine buying anywhere else.

I'd give them no stars if I could.  I would never write a terrible review about some place unless they were really, really bad, but this place was the worst customer service experience of my life. Under no circumstance buy from this store. When I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, I found out that had been reported many times before. I ended up buying a dress in Dillards 2 weeks before my wedding-- it was a complete nightmare.

Update: Jessica T, that sounds like exactly what happened to me. They kept telling me to call back in two weeks. They said the dress had shipped, but didn't know when it would be in. When I called back the person I talked to said it hadn't shipped yet. When I said that I had been told it did ship already the lady got an attitude with me and said, "Are you calling me a liar?" As my wedding date got nearer and nearer, I started calling every day and never got the same (or an honest) response from them. I should have gone somewhere else earlier, but they had "the dress." The dress I ended up getting from Dillard's was nice, but not what I really wanted.

I am not a bride. Thank God! I went as a bridesmaid today to try on a few b-maid dresses with my roommate who is the Bride. For the amount of money that some girls spend here, this place has zero customer service.

What happened to us was somewhat similar to Erika A.'s problem with them not having the dress they said they would. My roommate called three days ago, asking if they had this style, and they said yes. I think that because today is Good Friday, a lot of people had off of work; that place was slammed. We were asked to sign in and then had to find an idol woman to help us -- one who (sorry for the stereotyping) did not look at all like others in the bridal industry who have helped me before. We asked her to locate the dress and she came back about 15 minutes later saying that it was in the computer but that she could not find it in the rack. Mad that we drove the 30 minutes to get there, and were assured days before that it was, in fact, there, my roommate and I started looking ourselves. Instead of going off and trying to find it somewhere else, she just followed us around and telling us that she had already looked there. Angry that the "consultant" could not find it and was giving us the "sorry, you're s.o.l" face - we went back to the front desk. After the two girls behind the desk finished their 10 min. conversation about where they were going for lunch, we were asked what we wanted. Thankfully, they found the dress in some room in the back of the store. We were ushered into a group of dressing rooms away from all of the other ones, so no attendants came back to help with clips or suggestions.

It was a horrible experience with horrible customer service. I am just grateful that I now know not to shop there for my gown. We decided to go back to Wedding Angels where my roomie bought her dress and actually found a cuter b-maid dress! Wedding Angels will actually match anyone else's price for b-maids dresses if you get your gown there...very cool!

I got my dress at Bride Beautiful.  I went to several other places to try on wedding dresses, but I ended up getting my dress there.  I went there on a recommendation from a friend.  I didn't' think I'd be able to afford any dresses there, but there were LOTS of gorgeous gowns in my price range.  I went there to try on dresses 3 times and they were very helpful each time.  At some dress shops, you have to make a separate appointment to try on veils and headpieces, but when I found the two dresses I wanted to narrow it down between, the woman that helped me found some in different lengths and styles for me to see the whole picture.  I was very pleased with my experience there and would definitely recommend Bride Beautiful.

Update:
I have lowered my rating by 2 stars.

Within 2 weeks of when you order your dress, they say they will call and tell you when your dress will be in.  I never heard anything and after a month, so I called them.  Nothing.  I have called 3 times since each time they say they don't know the ship date, but that they will call the manufacturer and then call me back.  They have done none of these things.  Each time they're like, you have plenty of time, you're getting married in August, right?  No, I'm getting married in April, so I need my dress in by February.  It's December already so they need to get their act together.   I will continue to update.

I finally got an answer about when my dress would be shipped in early January:  1st or 2nd week of February they said.
February 13 - My consultant called to ask if I wanted to order bridesmaids dresses.  I actually already had them, but why would I want to order them from Bride Beautiful when my wedding dress hasn't even come in.  She said my dress was coming in any day now.

Friday, February 15 - The end of the last 2 weeks in February.  I called and asked about my dress, as they said it would already be in.  The shipping manager said they haven't been able to find out when my dress will be here because of the Chinese New Year (apparently my dress is being made in China).  She said they take about a month off during that time.  She said she was having a hard time getting a hold of anyone there because of that.  She said she would get back to me Tuesday with a date.  This must be one of the Chinese factories where they don't enslave their workers.  Maybe that's why the dress is so expensive.

Tuesday, February 19 - The shipping manager called and said she still doesn't have a date for me, but that she's going to get in touch with someone there and have an answer for me by Friday.

Friday, February 22 - I called the shipping manager and asked about my date.  She said it should be here within the next couple of weeks.  WTF.  My wedding is fast approaching and I still have to get alterations, not to mention the stress they have added to an already stressful situation.  I asked her why they still didn't have a date.  She rambled on about the Chinese New Year thing again and that I had ordered it in October, so that was before Thanksgiving and Christmas and then the Chinese New Year.  Do the Chinese celebrate Thanksgiving???  Do these 3 events not happen every year???   Are you not able to plan around things that are a given???  Pretty weak excuses for such poor service.  I also got my mom to call and see if they would give us free alterations for such added stress.  The answer was no and my mom said the woman made it sound like the owner's a jerk.  That would figure.  Don't these places make money off of word of mouth referrals?  You would think they would want to satisfy their customers instead of lie and disappoint.

Week of March 3 - I called Monday or Tuesday to see when the dress would be here.  She said she expected it to be Thursday, but Friday at the latest and she would call me when it came in.  I hadn't heard anything on Friday, so I called and she said it would be in tomorrow.  I know you're like it's off by 1 day, but when they have continuously lied, it gets old.

My dress finally came in and then I had to go to the store to deal with rude snots not helping me.  Ugh, so sick of this place.  Also, I talked to my friend from China and she said that they absolutely would not take off a month for Chinese New Year, it would be a week max.  Lies, lies, lies from Bride Beautiful.

After relaying my troubles to friends, they mentioned I should have given a false wedding date - like a month ahead.  Too late!  I want you to warn you, though!  They say to order your dress at least 6 months in advance AND say your wedding date is sooner than it is.  Good luck, Ladies!

I found "the dress" at Wedding Angels in Roswell (highly recommend!) but decided to price check at Bride Beautiful since they stated they carried the my gown's line.  Called Bride Beautiful to ask if they had in store the specific style of my gown, and they said they did.  Went to the store to try it on and also browse for other dresses.   When I got there my mother and I were not acknowledge by anyone, and then when acknowledged I felt guilty, as if interrupting their time to chat on their personal phone.  I asked to see my dress, and it turns out they didn't carry it in the store as I was assured on the phone they did!  Decided to stay and browse anyways, and was assigned to a consultant that was not friendly and kept rolling her eyes when she picked out gowns that were definately not my style.  She then pawned me off to another consultant, slightly friendlier.  When my mother and I left we overheard a bride yelling at the staff for mis-ordering her gown and her wedding was quickly approaching.  I felt so sorry for the girl!

Honestly, think David's Bridal.  I was not impressed with the staff nor the quality of the gowns.  Would definately tell my friends to avoid.  Only plus is they quoted my gown at $200 less than Wedding Angels.  No way I would order from Bride Beautiful, so I'm ordering through Wedding Angels who will honor the price.
