This is my favorite pizza in all of Boston and here's why:
The St. E's pizza.
This particular pizza is an exquisite combination of gorgonzola cheese and greens on top of delicious sauce.  It's like eating a salad and a pizza at the same time!  I'm having a hard time getting past that pizza and ordering anything else.
I have to, though, make a plug for the buffalo chicken pizza, which is unbelievably good, but also very filling and quite fattening.  I love how they give you a ton of blue cheese sauce to drizzle over each piece.
The service is great, and the guys who own this place seem to know what they are doing.
Go here before you go to Red Sauce down the street.

I decided to take my fellow Yelpers' advice and try Brickhouse when my father and his wife came down to my visit my apartment.  We opted for takeout because my Dad was busy putting together my new entertainment center (hooray for mechanical fathers!), and his wife and I decided we could use the ten minute walk to pick up the food.  I ordered the Greek salad with rare steak tips added, she ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich, and my father ordered a plain burger with only lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

We arrived earlier than we expected and decided to spend our time waiting by trying some of their pumpkin ice cream.  Wow, it was like a pumpkin pie exploded in my mouth...  and yes, that is a good thing.  I feel like my life would be a whole lot better if I randomly had pumpkin pies exploding in my mouth.  DON'T JUDGE!

In any case, our food was ready shortly after and we brought it home to satisfy our hungry stomachs.  One of the first things my father's wife noticed was how the chicken was very plump and only had a light breaded coating.  She was quite pleased about this and even noted that the place itself didn't have that typical deep-fried greasy smell that is so prevalent in similar restaurants.

It was at this point that I decided to dig into my own dish.  I quickly realized that the steak tips were actually cooked closer to medium well, which was slightly irritating.  One of the biggest reasons I enjoy rare meat is because anything higher than medium rare tends to get very dry since most people have no idea how to properly cook steak.

As I took a bite of the tip, I was surprised by how moist and flavorful and absolutely freaking delicious it was.  The only other person who has ever made a medium well steak taste that good is my father himself.  They also gave a generous portion of feta in my salad, which came with a tangy, somewhat creamy, and wonderful Greek dressing.  I've actually had this same salad with the tips twice now, and although they still aren't cooked rare, I simply don't care because they just taste so amazing.

Now I should state ahead of time that my father can be a rather harsh critic when it comes to food.  As I hinted at earlier, he is a phenomenal cook and has high expectations for his food.  When he looked at his burger, he realized it had mayo and was less than pleased.  He's not a big fan of condiments and had asked for it plain for that very reason.  He is not one to waste food, however, so he took a bite into his burger and then took several more.  He finally remarked, "This burger is actually very tasty."  I watched in shock as he finished every last piece of his meal.

As I rode back with them on the subway, he brought the food up again and said, "You know, that burger was really good."  If Brickhouse can get my Dad to compliment a burger with mayo not just once, but twice, then you know they're doing something right.  Wow.

Ross and I have tried two pizzas from Brickhouse--the Buffalo Chicken and the St. E's. I don't think the Buffalo Chicken is on the menu, but ask for it anyhow! Its definitely quality pizza. Large chunks of chicken, nice heat.

The St. E's is absolutely delicious! Its a salad and a pizza. The salad on top is leafy, green, and good. The pizza beneath is crispy and great-tasting. Its definitely something I know I'll get a hankering for and just have to have immediately.

The guy behind the counter is nice and they always finish our pizza a little bit before expected.

Wow.  Amazing pizza and fast delivery.

Got a bacon/fresh garlic pizza last night.  Not only was it at my door in 25 minutes, it was HOT!  My roommate put it best when he described it as "gourmet Papa Gino's", meaning, great thin crust and the perfect amount of grease.

The fresh garlic absolutely made this pizza.  Mixed into their delicious sauce and paired with good bacon made this an extremely enjoyable pizza experience.

I am a little embarrassed that I haven't already written a review about Brickouse Pizza and Grille. This was actually the restaurant that my fiance and I dined at the very first night in our apartment (obviously we couldn't really use the kitchen yet...).

I highly recommend their pizza and their steak-tips! Probably one of my favorite places to eat in the area because it is close by, reasonably priced, and even offers a speedy delivery!

Facilities are pretty clean; however there isn't much room for seating... best if you just order take-out or delivery :D

Just ordered from Brickhouse pizza for the first time and it has immediately become my go to place for amazing pizza. We ordered a large cheese pizza and large meatball pizza and they were the best i've  had since I moved to Brighton. The meatball on the pizza was amazing, I gotta try it on a sub next time. The delivery was fast and the price wasn't to bad, $25 with tip for 2 pizzas. If you live in Allston/Brighton area you have got to go here or at least order, you won't want pizza from anywhere else after you try theirs.

I haven't actually tried their pizza yet, however, their subs and wraps are VERY yummy.

I think it's all in the bread that they use. I'm not sure but it tastes like they might bake it there. So good. Good - fast - cheap.

Oh and the guy on the phone is nice and never messes up the order. :)

I've ordered delivery from this place a few times. It's always been within the window they said, 30-45 minutes. And the pizza is, I think, worth the price. If you want cheaper pizza, go elsewhere.

The service in general is also very good. Their website has a few delivery "specials" and once when I ordered one, they charged me as if I hadn't. I explained this to the delivery guy, and he called over and they took care of it. Can't say I've encountered such accommodating people in the pizza-delivery business much in the past.

Probably one of my favorite places to order pizza from in my neighborhood. Does not give you cheap or crappy pizza, has a wide variety of toppings and i never had a bad experience with it.

Got the broccoli and chicken the first time we ordered and have ordered a few more times since then.

I love this place. It is my go to for delivery whenever I don't have time to cook. Great pasta dishes and great pizza. Obviously, it's not top of the line North End quality Italian, but it is quick and tasty. I recommend the chicken parm pasta or the Brickhouse specialty pizza or calzone.

After many return visits - I figured I'd bump Brickhouse up to a five-star.

In my initial review, I stated it was arguably the best pizza in the area. I was wrong, because it simply IS the best Pizza in the area - enough said.

Hands down the best pizza in Boston. Granted, I might be biased since Brick House is a mere ten minute walk from my door, but I can say with certainty that I have not had better pizza in this town. The Brick House special is your standard supreme pizza with tons of meat and veggies, and is definitely my favorite pie there. The sauce is made with real tomatoes, and is made fresh. The crush is great, and the guys will cook a pizza well done for a crispy crust on request. Bottom line, a great pizza for a reasonable price. I can't recommend this place more highly.

my expectations were way too high, i think very much influenced by the reviews (power of persuasion) not sure how this is any different than any other type of 'college' type pizza joint. the sauce tasted watered down. the pizza was so  greasy that top most layer wasn't cheese, it was a layer of grease. i had to use 2 bounty 'quicker picker upper' sheets to  soak up the puddle of artery clogging juice. it's, also true that they charged me, w/out telling me, a $1 b/c i used my card.

also, my impression, by the website led me to believe (b/c of their logo) that it was a really nice place, it's hard to find crappy looking places when you're scouting out something, you think is supposed to have a nice outer presence.

again, confused as to why this placed is so fantastic.

When I moved to Brighton, this was the first place I hit.  It's right around the corner from my apartment and after taking my first bite of their pizza, I knew I was home.  I'd been living in California where the pizza just plain sucks.  Ever been to California Pizza Kitchen? Yeah exactly.  Cali can't do pizza. (Except in Santa Cruz.)

Anyway - I drop in all the time to grab  a slice... no heat. The best pizza tastes good cool... and theirs kicks ass.  Tangy sauce.  Good salty cheese.  Perfect crust.  $2 a slice for cheese.

The other favorite is their chicken/broccoli/parmesan cheese/penne dish.  It's way too huge though - my only complaint.  It's $8 and easily feeds two. I'm single... and don't push a plate away often... bad.  I'd love it if the portions were about 1/2 the size for like $5-6.

Steak/cheese subs are good... B+.

Only a few seats, so it's a to go kind of sub shop.

All my fellow Allston / Brightonites know what I'm talking about when I mention the Black Hole.

Ah, yes.  We live in a wonderful city, but you pretty much have to take someone's mother hostage in order to get halfway decent pizza.  So many pizza joints around, such a paucity of a decent pie.  There's your black hole - not a scrap of decent delivery food or pizza in a three mile radius.

Maybe I'm exhausted from Greek pizza.  No offense to the Greek establishments out there, but it's all the same, and I'd love something different.

We found Brickhouse via Yelp (thanks guys, you never let us down), and we were somewhat blown away by the sheer awesomeness of the food.  I had a buffalo chicken pizza, which was amazing, and he had a sub, which seemed to take up the space of a city block.

I will happily be a return customer.

Super tasty and super quick.  We live less than a mile from the place, and wow are they fast. We had our pie in under 20 minutes the other day.  We also live less than a mile from a few other pizza places and they never deliver this fast.

Tasty ingredients and great finished product.  Pizza is great and the boneless buffalo is pretty darn good too.

We have never been inside, only driven by, so I cant comment on the interior or the staff, although they are polite on the phone. My one small issue is that they stop delivery a bit early for my tastes.

I think I've tried at least 20 different pizza places since I've moved to Boston, and this is definitely one of my favorite.  I don't know if I'm just picky, or what.  We have also tried the pasta and calzones and they really just seem better and bigger than they should be for the price.  They are also usually really fast with their delivery, especially compared to some other places around here that regularly take well over an hour for delivery.  I just wish they were open a little bit later, at least on weekends.  I usually eat later so I don't get to order from them as much as I would like.

I was taking a rare car ride down Washington Street one night when we passed this place and I could smell the delicious scent of good pizza, so I made a mental note to try it out. A month later I made the call and I will not be forcing down slices from any other Brighton pizza place ever again (except for perhaps the late-night grab from not-so-Fast Eddies).

My boyfriend and I ordered the Chicken and Broccoli and it was soooo very good. The pieces of chicken were sizeable, broccoli well-cooked, and the garlic not too in-yo-face. The crust was also very tasty. The only drawback was that it was too floppy to actually pick up with my hands, but it was delicious enough that I didn't mind having to use a fork and knife.

More, please.

I dunno what happened... but this went to being my favorite place to get a pizza to wanting to find a replacement.
Suddenly their pizzas are like most that I've found here in Boston - you pick up a slice and water/grease comes sliding off and making a mess. Their ingredients don't seem as fresh,
Delivery has been kinda slow, too.

I will still continue to eat from here occasionally, though.
it's not horrible.

I am sad.

The buffalo chicken pizza might be a little thin boss but I really suggest eating it.  It's too tasty for you not to.  The steak and cheese is also phenomenal as well.  It's not super greasy and it's gigantic.  If you're a big fan of non-greek style pizza I'd say give it a whirl.

One thing to note though, they charge you $1 extra if you use your credit card and they don't tell you about it.  After you add the delivery it gets a little more expensive than you might expect.

Overall the food is awesome, the delivery is very prompt, and the people working there are cordial.

It was good, and delivery was quick, but it was gourmet prices for average pizza.  Pino's is better pizza AND cheaper.

I had driven by this place a few times and made a mental note each time. then that fateful night came when it was late, there was no food in the house, and we were way too hungry to not go to Brickhouse Pizza.

There was an underwhelming aura of strangeness in there that i can't quite put my finger on.  We asked the guy at the counter a few questions and he looked at us like we were space aliens (which is a look we get frequently, so who knows).  The pizza was surprisingly good (we had the Florentine), but the service was sub par.  He asked if we wanted it for "here or to go." And we opted for the eat-in option, yet the pizza still came in a cardboard pizza box.  What?!?! Is that the subtle 'get your pizza and get out' hint?

This place has great pizza, but I would say unless you are having a slice on your lunch break, do the take out or delivery.

On a cold night we went to this place for a quick bite. My boyfriend and I were ravenous and didn't want to take the food back home and just ate at the place. This is definitely not  your standard neighborhood pizzeria but a level above and leans to the gourmet side. But the price is pretty standard which is great because you get gourmet style food for less. We tried the Pizza Florentine and the chicken wings (not the Buffalo style ones) and they were yummy. We wolfed it done in no time. This is a place I would definitely recommend for take out!

Having decided I wanted pizza for my birthday, my friend and I mathematically calculated that 7 large pizzas would be the correct number of pizzas for 11 normal sized people. We must have been using that "new math," because we were WAY off.

We had 3.5 pizzas left over at the end of the night, but it's not because the pizza tasted terrible. Quite the opposite, in fact. The crusty was chewy, the sauce tasty (without committing the mortal sin of sweetness), the toppings DELICIOUS, the location key, and the prices fair.

I highly highly highly recommend the buffalo chicken pizza. Amazing. Way better than any buffalo chicken pizza I have had previously, including Antonio's in Amherst (which is saying a LOT). I think the deliciousness was due to the blobs of ricotta cheese on top. YUM! Blue cheese dressing served on the side. Sigh. Pure heaven. I love sauces.

I also highly recommend the St. E's pizza (cheese pizza with a mixed green salad on top).

All in all, I have found my perfect pizza place, and so have a lot of my guests. They took home some of the pizza as party favors! Definitely go out of your way to visit this joint.

I have been coming here for a long time and it is so great!
First off I love the fact that they are watching CNBC or Fox News, they are the most news conscious pizza place I have ever been too.

Second, there pizza is so amazing. Huge slices with fresh ingredients! Love the style of the pizza. Sandwiches are great as well.

The  freshness of the pizza will tell you everything you need to know about Brickhouse!

Rock and Roll!

Best pizza in the area!!  I am a pizza snob, grew up in Philly and lived in New York (both of which have excellent pizza).  I have lived in the Boston area for 3 years now and I had not found any pizza I liked until now.  I ordered from here based on the reviews and I am happy I did.  I ordered delivery and it got here in about 25 minutes.

I was looking for a new Pizza place to try in Brighton, and turned to Yelp for assistance.  After reading a few reviews, I settled on Brickhouse Pizza.  The question now was "What kind of Pizza?".  Well, normally, I'm a pepperoni pizza kind of guy.  However, on this particular night, from this particular establishment, I was looking for something different...something more.  Based on the review written by Casey W., I decided  to try the Buffalo Chicken Pizza.  I have to admit that I was *slightly* concerned when i didn't find this specific pizza on the official online menu for Brickhouse.  I figured that I would just roll with it, order it and if the order-taker didn't question what I was ordering, it would be a lock.  Needless to say, it was a lock.

Delivery was fast, and worth every minute.  This buffalo chicken pizza was unlike anything that I have had before.  First, the chicken is deep fried and sliced into strips, and then drizzled with a delicious buffalo sauce.  The chicken was perfectly cooked, the buffalo sauce had the right amount of heat and they don't over-do it.  And to make this pizza not only memorable, but unforgettable, they top it off with dollops of Ricotta cheese.  Just delicious.  The only slightly negative thing that I have to say is that they forgot our Blue Cheese dressing, but to be honest, I didn't even think about it until I was about halfway into my third piece.  I think the combo of the buffalo and ricotta made the need for blue cheese nearly non-existent.

Highly recommended, I will be craving this pizza until the next time I have one.

When I got laid off from St Elizabeths my first thought wasn't how am i going to pay rent. It was the sadness of not having Brickhouse to go to every day for lunch. I love their pizza its amazing, some of the best I have had. You do need to know that you must not get their pizza delivered, you have to eat it there. The best part of the pizza is their crust. When you eat there its hot and crispy. After sitting in a box for 20 minutes it gets warm and soggy. For everyone that was disappointed in the delivery just pop in one day and get a slice. I cant stress it enough that you have to eat the pizza there.
Besides the pizza they make great subs also. The best one is "The Everett" my mix of chicken, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, hot sauce, ranch, bacon, and mozzarella. I just hope they didnt forget how to make it.

Excellent pizza joint.  Great crust,  and we had spinich, chopped garlic, and ricotta on ours, which was a great combo.  The garlic was cooked and integrated nicely into the overall flavor, which is often a problem at other pizza places.

It looks a lot swankier from the outside than it really is.  From the outside I wondered if showing up in my yoga pants would be underdressed.  But inside, it's got only window seating and the employees were hanging out watching the Pats game and drinking beer (though they were trying to be discreet, which was adorable).

Always friendly.  Always fast.  Pizza delicious.  Salad is mixed greens (Mesclun).  Every time I order I say a little prayer that these guys don't go out of business because of what must be a really high food cost.  In any case, this place is different than most pizza places in Boston.

If you live in Brighton you should have them on speed dial.  They'll even know your address when you call.

After driving by numerous times my girlfriend and I finally tried Brickhouse.  From the past reviews I had high expectations, maybe to high.  We had a large pizza delivered along with a 2 liter bottle of coke, they threw in an order of mozzarella sticks, that was a nice touch.  The two stars is primarily for the pizza.  We ordered the Bianca and added on sausage.  It had a decent flavor but the biggest disappointment was that the pizza was soggy, as in the crust was a flimsy, wet, mess.  Not exactly what I was expecting.  Unfortunately the mozzarella sticks were the highlight of the order, they were tasty.  We may give the Brickhouse another shot but it probably won't be for awhile.

This is a fantastic sandwich place (have never had the pizza). We order from it at the office all the time. Delivery is fast and the delivery guys are friendly. I recommend you try the Stockyard sub: it's roast beef, BBQ sauce, and potato salad. Yep, you read that right. It's pretty tasty, too.

Everything I've ordered from here (subs and salads) has been great, and they always get the order right, which is more than can be said for other places.

I couldn't disagree more with the last reviewer, man, Brick Oven pizza is a staple. I don't order out as much as when I was in college but as resident of allston rock city for, like, 7 years I can tell you FOR SURE that you're going to get a fair price, amazing pizza, and quick delivery - and what else do you want? If you're feeling adventurous, or as hungry as a hostage, try the beastly 'stockyard' sandwich. Whoop! hunger gone.

After my recent battle with bronchitis, and our otherwise empty refrigerator, my fiance and I decided to order delivery from here the other night. They have plenty of choices--dinners, pastas, sandwiches, pizza. Staff was very friendly, I ordered chicken tips with rice, the SO ordered steak tips. Delivery was fast and the food was very good! So good we ordered from there again last night. The teriyaki chicken was good--with peppers, onions and broccoli. Warning--dinners are huge, so you will probably have left overs!

I find it hard not to like this place. It's never very busy (though at lunch the hospital keeps them so), clean, friendly, cheap and, of course, delicious. My favorites are some of the specialty subs, The Big Texan and the Chicken Kabob are both great: rich and unctuous. The portions are large, but not ungainly so, and if you're not that hungry you can get two meals out of them.

Also, if you're like me and like your pizza crunchier, which can be hard to find in Boston, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The service is friendly and easy-going, and tend to be watching sports all the time.

As other reviewers have noted: don't be fooled by the nice brick exterior , the inside looks like any other pizza/sub joint, though they do have a handwashing sink, which is nice after a greasy meal.

I highly recommend the Brick House Pizza, the Phili cheese steak pizza, Garden salad with Tuna and the Chicken Cutlet sub!
