Mmmm, Bricco.  This is our go-to date place.  I've never eaten anything here that's less than very good.  The chef has a large variety of pizzas that are different and innovative.  Fun drink list, nice selection of entrees. Some would call this place pricey; for us, we pay just as much as going to Outback Steakhouse, with much better food.  They have a great wine list, and the bartenders are fun to talk to.

The kitchen stay open til pretty late, I think maybe 1am, but the only downside is that there's a club next door whose music you can hear thudding through their shared wall.  Not that Bricco is all that quiet to begin with.

Do yourself a favor and try this place.  Something different and delicious!

I have taken dates here several times. It's a great place for a trying to have a semi-upscale dinner in the middle of a slum town.

The decor and atmosphere gives a modern impression and the food is wonderful. It's not the cheapest place in town, but you are paying for good food and a decent atmosphere.

Like I said, I usually just go here on dates, but there always seems to be quite a few tables of group-dates or family's. So I'd say its definitely safe for either.

Only word of caution is that you are in a mini urban metropolis. Don't give your keys to the guy with a soup can expecting him to valet your car! Or you might be taking the metro back home ;)

Went to Bricco with a group of thirteen for an anniversary party.  There were some problems and maybe it was owed to the fact that it was a large group.  The orders weren't right and someone's balsamic vinegar was rancid.

When the orders were correct and there was nothing rancid at the table save my sense of humor, the food was quite good and the portions were certainly impressive.

All said, I would go back.

Bricco is my friends', family's & my go-to nice restaurant in the Akron area -- I last went here for my graduation party with out-of-town family & for my friend's 23rd birthday party. The food here is outstanding, & the servers are always friendly. Atmosphere is cute, open, not too quiet but not too loud, perfect for a date or just to meet up with friends. It's a little pricey for the area, but it's totally, totally worth it.

If you're looking for an appetizer, you've GOT to go with the risotto balls stuffed with pancetta & smoked mozzarella. For dinners, try any of their pizzas or, my favorite, the rotelle with chorizo, onions, basil & chihuahua cheese sauce. It's absolutely delicious, worth going back for, and it's a HUGE dish, so there's always enough to take home.

Oh, wait, did I mention drinks? Don't bother with Fuel across the street, which overcharges for subpar beverages. At bricco, we usually buy a bottle of champagne for the table, but you can also buy it pretty cheaply by the glass, & their mixed drinks (especially their flavored martinis) are great... and STRONG!

Food quality not matching up with price. Drinks are pricey too--but good. Nice bar, crowd is a bit uppity without justification. But I guess it's 'nice' for Akron standards.
