Dr. Brian is awesome. The treatment space is clean, quiet, professional ,and nice and warm. Right in the center of the Castro.
Brian is kind, pleasant, professional, respectful, and observes an obvious knowledge of advanced anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and chiropractic. I enjoy the Active Rlease Technique that he incorporates into the treatment.
He is strong and gives great adjustments, and deep work to get to the troubled spots. It's obvious that he enjoys teaching when going over the symptoms, what he's doing, why he's doing it,, and what you can expect both during the session, and afterward.
He is also intuitive, which is very important in someone who is a bodywork healthcare professional. It's obvious that he is educated well in his craft.
I will continue to use Brian whenever my need for chiropractic care arises. -

Brian is a lifesaver! I went to him a few months ago and he completely aligned my body and fixed what was bothering me for a couple months. My back hurt so bad I went to the er and then called him the next day based on numerous recommendations. I really do owe him a tremendous thanks for fitting me in his schedule last minute. I havent had any problems since but if I do I will be back in his office.

I'll keep this short and simple. Dr Rizzo is the best. You want to talk about a great local business? This is it. Dr. Rizzo is knowledgeable, professional, really together and a genuinely great guy. He really knows what he is doing. I have seen many chiropractors over the years. He may be the best chiropractor I have worked with, because of his knowledge of soft tissue. His training is excellent and he communicated to me, a clear description of what he felt was going on and how best to treat it.
Complete thumbs up, I completely recommend him. Another yelp reviewer wrote that Do Rizzo has great skill and integrity- I agree. -

Brian Rizzo has magic hands.
I started going to Rizzo in 2004. My alignment was off because I slipped on some wooden stairs and landed on my tali bone. Rizzo was, of course, referred to my by another happy patient.
Over the years I have seen other specialists but always come back to Dr. Brian. He has a remarkable way of improving my disposition as well as working out the knots in my back, neck and hips.
It is important to have frequent visits with your chiropractor, and he is one to utilize each time. -

Brian Rizzo changed my life. I've been seeing him on regular basis for over a year and have had profound changes in my health. I had gotten
used to the occasional stiff neck or back and low level aches, even as I
treat others for similar issues. Seeing Brian on regular basis has made all of that a thing of the past. Each week he works on whatever area of my body has the most tension. I leave feeling great, and haven't had a back or neck ache in a very long time.
Brian is pro's pro, if you want to feel better, younger, stronger, and pain-free go see him. -

I'm not sure what I would have done without Brian after a recent motorcycle accident. I was left with difficulty walking and in serious pain. The Active Release Techniques Brian uses in conjunction with chiropractic techniques have not only helped to realign me, but to release the tension and trapped spots in the soft tissue around my pelvis. Not only has it helped, it has helped me heal very, very quickly!
Brian was also able to address some old, chronic trapped spots in my neck and back. I had been totally accustomed to them, but now my range of motion and comfort is so much greater!
I highly recommend Brian! Thanks to him I am able to do cardio, yoga, ... oh and WALK normally, again. -

OK so I have a completely destroyed knee (gymnastics at 16) and I am getting to the point where I am having trouble walking and biking. I was actually scheduled for a knee replacement because the xrays said i was in such bad shape. But the office PT said I should try to delay as long as possible because I am young. She suggested soft tissue/active release. I went to Brian and the results have been amazing.
He's agressive and works me but I am able to delay the knee surgery and increased my mobility. THAT IS HUGE.
I highly recommend. The guy is smart, skilled and honest. -

I've seen several chiropractors over the past 10 years. Brian is the only one who combines muscles release with adjustment. This made so much sense to me, because I've had many previous experiences where the adjustment was quickly compromised by tight muscles pulling the joint back out of alignment.
He's a former structural engineer, which fascinates me. It explains why he has such a sophisticated understanding of interdependent systems in the body.
I recommend him without hesitation. -

Dr. Brian is numero #1. I saw one other chiro in the city before coming to him. The other one made it sound as if I was a walking time bomb and basically was ready to drain my pocket and time for something that Dr. B was able to get back to normality in a matter of weeks. He is a genius and a master of his skill.
I am still seeing him and back to the activities I had placed on hold and I thank it all to Dr. Brian.
As a female, he is incredibly sensitive, patient and explains things with such care, that he makes one feel soo comfortable. I would recommend him to my fragile ill and scoliosis ridden aging 95 year old grandma, if I had one... he's that awesome. -

Brian's great. He's smart, focused and really good at what he does. He explains everything in a clear, easy-to-understand way without resorting to that new-agey kind of speak that kind of drives me nutty. I'm still seeing him, and both the chiropractic care and active release therapy are showing real improvements.
I highly recommend him. -

Dr. Brian is fantastic! I can't tell you how many times he has saved me from back pain. Brian is highly skilled, experienced and empathetic, exactly the kind of person you want to work with while in extreme pain. At the forefront of many progressive methods, like Active Release, he uses a holistic approach to heal his patients. Every time I have called him, he has been able to work me into his schedule and help me immediately. I'm so grateful to have met Dr. Brian and know that I have his highly trained help when it's needed most.

Dr. RIzzo is THE BEST! I have seen many chiropractors, been to many services looking for pain relief and doctor Rizzo does an amazing job. He asks the right questions and knows the body very well. I go to him whenever I have a flair up, am working long hours or am just in need of relief. Totally worth going outside my insurance provider to get his service.

My very first experience of chiropacty (is that a word?). I went to have some long-standing back and neck issues looked at. I was a little trepidatious, but Brian was very friendly, quickly put me at ease, and was conscientious in explaining what he was doing at every stage. When he popped my neck (or maybe it was more of a cracking sound :) I was rather startled, but I feel I have a whole range of motion back, and he did wonders for my back too. I can't wait for my next session!

I was suffering from some nasty neck and shoulder pain, and a colleague recommended Dr. Rizzo. He was able to squeeze me in for a same-day appointment, and after some ART and adjustments I felt better immediately. Not to mention he is really nice and has a great office space. I went back for a couple of follow-up appointments and I was back to 100% within a week. Now I am recommending him to everyone I know.

I got my shoulder back in one session. Very nice and thorough guy whose goal is to fix you up in as little time (and as few sessions) as possible. He used the Active Release Technique, working on soft tissues so that I could regain movement in my shoulder. Incredibly effective. And he explained everything he was doing in clear simple terms, which I love. Before the session ended, he gave me "homework" so that I can reset my posture and prevent future problems. It felt like intense workout, but it's worth it.

Brian is awesome! He got my knee back in shape for AIDS LifeCycle, with strong hands, calm presence, and KFOG on the radio. Meanwhile, he was training for ALC himself. Handsome, charming, big heart -- and covered by the PPO!

Brian has helped me and my partner when others couldn't. His work with Active Release Therapy is nothing short of amazing, and his overall knowledge of physiology, stretching, and foam roller work is superb.

Brian is fantastic at what he does. I was referred to him by a friend a couple of years ago when a repetitive stress injury I had in my arms was getting worse after years of working on computers and playing drums. I was getting really worried that I would not get better and my work/music life would be altered forever. After several visits with Brian experiencing his Active Release Therapy techniques as well as traditional chiropractic adjustments, my arms were on the road to recovery. I continued seeing him regularly for follow-ups and the RSI completely went away. I'm now a hairdresser - apparently I can't stay away from work involving my hands and arms - and I know if I ever have a twinge or a pain again I can see Brian and all will be well.

I use chiropractic care for maintenance. I've had 4 really good chiropractors over the last 15 years -- they all seem to move out of the Bay Area!
I had a bad flare up last summer and my current chiropractor wasn't able to address the problem. I sought out several different chriopractors and found Brian. He helped a lot! He's way better than most chiropractors!!!! He spends quality 1-on-1 time and is very focused on healing. He gave me useful exercises that really worked.
His rate is definitely higher than what I was paying, but he was much more effective whereas others were not. And he works hard during our appointments (with ART therapy). The other thing about him that's great is he's down-to-earth, easy-going, personable. Chiropractors can be a bit salesy, marketing-oriented, or try to push some gimmicky theory on you or give you a completely unrealistic stretching exercise/stretching regimen that you have to agree to follow. He's not at all like that. He treated my problem with a very realistic approach.
I'm thankful he was so skillful in eliminating pain and restoring flexibility! -

I've seen chiropractors on & off for more than 20 years due to a variety of sport and injury related triggers, and my results with Brian Rizzo have been fantastic. He's used Active Release Therapy (ART), traditional chiropractic adjustments and cranial sacral work to get my jacked back in order. I'm of the school, 'give me an idea of what you're going to do before you do it, but not enough info that I tense up and make your work and my recovery difficult', and Brian manages to find the perfect middle ground.
Brian's managed to schedule and treat me in less than 24 hours when I was in severe discomfort on a couple occasions. He's efficient but I don't feel rushed. He demystifies the connected and complex nature of my musculoskeletal system so I have a better understanding of why adjusting my hips and neck, as well as my lower back, all lead to recovery.
My insurance doesn't cover his service so I gladly pay out of pocket, and I know I'm getting great value because he produces results. I don't worry about a hard sell or gratuitous appointments, because Brian's honest and realistic and gauges my treatment based on my feedback.
I wholeheartedly recommend Brian Rizzo. -

I've known a lot of DCs, and Dr. Rizzo is tops in his profession. He's highly skilled, knowledgeable, honest, professional, and very personable. You can trust him fully with your well-being. I highly recommend him. His soft-tissue work using ART also makes him unique, and it enhances the healing and wellness he can help bring to his clients.

Brian Rizzo is great. I woke up one day with a crick so terrible I could barely move. He saw me immediately. And worked magic! I have been going ever since. The Active Release Techniques (ART) that he does is like a wonderfully intense massage. He is a very compassionate and approachable doctor who makes you feel very comfortable. And his is even covered by my health plan!

Brian is an amazing chiropractor. He is very skillful, honest, and has a lot of integrity. The chiropractor I had before him wanted me to see him twice a week for 12 weeks for a sore (non-injured) neck. I wasn't quite sure this was the right approach, so I went to Brian for a second opinion, and I'm so glad I did. He agreed that there was no need to get that much treatment, and treated me on a much more sensible schedule. I am just going in for maintenance, now. I always feel better physically after seeing him, and always feel like I am getting the highest quality treatment. He's a really nice guy, too.
