Located on the 3rd floor of a plaza on San Vincente Blvd (across the street from Baja Fresh), this place is a little hard to find but worth a visit. They serve good ole fashioned yogurt - the pre-Pinkberry kind, but they have tart flavors too. I got the Cappuccino yogurt and the Original Tart. They have mix-ins to blend in with your yogurt using a large machine behind the counter (like Cold Stone Creamery). Excellent yogurt and a great place to sit and people watch either on the patio or through the large windows. It's a little pricey at $8 for two smalls - but it's in line with Brentwood prices.
Parking is underground (they will validate) - but keep your eyes peeled for the lot or you'll miss it 2 times like I did. -

The Brentwood Yogurt Cafe reminds me of Angora Cafe in Kenmore Square in Boston, MA, only without the amazing sandwiches.
Step 1: Take a yogurt base (Chocolate, Sweet Vanilla, Tart Vanilla).
Step 2: Pick toppings (ex. assorted fruit, M&Ms, toffee chips)
Step 3: Have counterperson blend them in a mixer.
Step 4: Eat and be happy. -

sick, sick, sick
The first time I visited was about three years ago. I was super-excited about that mix-in machine, so I asked for a vanilla yogurt with gummy bears mixed in. I don't really know why, since I don't even like gummy bears, but that's not even relevant. When I got my yogurt, I noticed there were some gummy bears sprinkled on top. "Oh, ummm, I asked for it mixed-in."
"We don't mix gummy bear it damage machine."
That's probably something he should've told me before. The yogurt was decent, but I didn't return until a few months ago when I had to go to the bathroom and that guy said I would have to buy something.
The hot chocolate was even more terrible than I'd expected (and I had very low expectations). I ordered two hot chocolates and I got two cups filled half with hot chocolate and half with whipped cream because the guy working there didn't think I'd notice that he didn't steam enough milk. I did.
The frozen yogurt, though, has gotten absolutely terrible. It tastes like powder. Wait. You know when you're eating sweet tarts and you chew it up and it's half-chewed? That's what it's like. Half-chewed sweet tart.
I went back the other day to try the soy yogurt and it was the worst thing I've ever had. Normally, I order a frozen yogurt and eat half of it and throw it away because I'm afraid of getting fat, but this time I ate two bites and threw it away because I just couldn't take it anymore! -

Awesome frozen yogurt / ice-cream place. They have about a dozen flavors and about 2 dozen mix-ins. They have this drill machine that mixes in the toppings so that they really become a part of your ice-cream. It's really delicious, and much lighter than some other ice-cream spots.
Expect to pay about the same as your would at a cold-stone, Baskin Robins, or Ben&Jerry's.Listed in: That time I lived in Brentwood

I like this place because it offers frozen yogurt of the "same as ice cream" variety for when I am tired of the "50 calories per ounce" variety (though they offer that too).
Last time I was there I got white chocolate yogurt and it was delicious... I'm not sure what I mixed in, but I think it was Oreos and mini marshmallows. Definitely a winning play. My girlfriend got sweet vanilla yogurt with cookie dough and bananas. Just typing that combination is enough to make my stomach churn, but she likes it well enough.
It's fairly pricey, it will run you ~$6 for a medium yogurt with two mix-ins. That works out nicely, though, because there is a $5 minimum for credit cards.Listed in: Getting Fat in L.A.

This place is awesome! It's like Coldstone for frozen yogurt. Every time I've been in there, the same guy has been working, and I think he's the owner. One time I said to him, "I love this place." and he replied, "Thank you. I love you too." LOL!! Great customer service! and whenever I order my favorite - the sweet vanilla with strawberries and oreos, he tells me that's the best combo they have.
Don't forget to get the frequent buyer card! -

What the heck am I doing wrong that everyone else loves this place? I live nearby and was ready to adopt Brentwood Yogurt Cafe as my local yogurt haunt but seriously, I have yet to be impressed. The yogurt is bland and I can hardly ever taste whatever it is I choose to mix in. It doesn't hold a candle to 21 Choices and, in true LA fashion, it's somehow more expensive than its more tasty companions. Why...? This has all the makings of a good yogurt place, if only I could taste them!
But I'm going to keep trying until my frequent buyer card is filled up, because I cannot accept that this place is as completely un-noteworthy as it's been up to this point. It's so cute! Everyone that's reviewed it here has liked it! So I'll just stick with, "It's not you, it's me," until I've tried every flavor and can say without a doubt, "I just don't think you're putting enough effort into this relationship." -

I was so excited to find this place at first because they have one of those mix in machines, however, their ice cream and yogurt isn't the greatest. Two stars because this place is EXTREMELY over priced for what you get. Yogurtland is a WAY better deal.
I do recommend getting chocolate frozen yogurt with peanut butter blended in or vanilla yogurt with peppermint patties & hard red and white mint candies blended in. -

A basic (yet pricey) yogurt shop.
They have like 8 or 12 different frozen yogurt flavors and a lot of different mix-ins. The yogurt is good (especially when you compare it to pinkberry)
They have a large parking garage which makes life a little bit easier. -

I give this three stars because is's just okay....not good, not bad. When I want yogurt I want to get in and out - not park underground and have to get validated. Just too much trouble for a cup of pricey yogurt. That said - the yogurt itself is hit and miss depending on flavor and what you mix in. The service is okay - perfectly capable. The yogurt is better than Yogurtland, but not nearly as good a a couple of the full serve places a mile or so east of there.
If I happen to be there then I might go back, but I would never make a special trip. -

Well, that butterscotch was definitely the best butterscotch frozen yogurt I've ever had. Too bad it's nearly double the price of similar places.

I love love love LOVE this place. Being lactose intolerant, I end up having to get unsatisfying sorbet every time someone gets the genius idea to go out for ice cream. I want something just as creamy as everyone else, but always get stuck with iced fruit as it's the only non-dairy option.
Enter Brentwood Yogurt.
They have a non-dairy, soy based vanilla "yogurt" which tastes nothing like soy and nothing like yogurt, but instead like a vanilla flavored creamy substance with fabulous texture and mouthfeel. I just started getting it mixed (when I say mixed, they have a machine that truly blends the mix-ins into the yogurt) with peanut M&M's and would pay to keep this place alive for the next 100 years. Bless them and their many options for sugar-free, or low-carb, or non-dairy, or non-fat and of course, normal frozen yogurt.
We go here at least once every other week - a small sized yogurt will last me several days (I just like a few bites after dinner). The owner is super friendly and very helpful. Loves giving out samples if you ask. Love this place....love love love it! -

Brentwood Yogurt Cafe has gotten a facelift and new management along with a new name. Café Rivva occupies their old space on the third floor of the Brentwood Gardens, and has converted their old frozen yogurt to organic, as well as adding organic salads and smoothies.
