Review from Jodi C.
I was sitting inside the dog park at Brentwood park, smiling like a big old dork at my neighbor's golden retriever, Nalu, who was performing mad dashes back and forth in the enclosed canine retreat, when I sighed one of those content sighs. A sigh that traveled through a smiling mouth.
I realized that this park is awesome. I came to terms with loving this park. I heard myself say, "I LOVE this park."
And that being said, I bumped up its rating to five stars.Listed in: Brentwood-Darlington, Get Going Green, WOOF!

Review from Danni D.
I have come here a few times now with our new dog, and I have to say, it's one of the friendliest parks I've experienced. The fenced area is plenty big for the dogs to get lots of exercise. It can get muddy when it rains. But on dry sunny days, it's fabulous.
If you are the only one in the park (it has happened at least once for us), you might want to walk the perimeter of the fence and verify that the gates at the back end of the park are latched before your dog shows you that indeed they are not. I don't know why anyone would walk out of a dog park without latching a gate, but I have been accused of being hyper responsible at times.
They have a 5-gallon bucket that catches rain water which you can then use to fill the communal dog water bowl. If you use the park frequently, it would be nice to bring a gallon of water every so often to help out in the dryer months. The dogs certainly appreciate it.Listed in: Adopt an Older Dog...They're…

I have no need for this park, except for dog park.
Shaded park bench in the middle of a fenced run, dog water container and a place to dispose of dog poop = dog park heaven.
It would be a 5 star if they actually supplied poop bags and had water plumbed in. -
Review from Alyssa A.
I love this park. It's not far from my house and it is almost never overcrowded.
It has a really great expanse of lawn and some gentle rolling hills which are lots of fun for running/frisbee/spontaneous games of tag.
They also have an off-leash dog area over by the tennis courts which I take my puppy to.
As much as I love all the trees in a lot of Portland parks, it's nice to go somewhere for sunlight...when we actually have some and Brentwood Park has lots of open space to lay out and catch a few rays.
