My daughter and I made appointments with Dr. Smith after a bad experience with a previous physician. I have never left a doctors office ecstatic about my visit but I did after seeing Dr. Smith!
Everyone is asked for urine and tested for pregnancy when you arrive. Genius! Why guess about it?
I brought labwork ordered week before by another physician. Dr. Smith carefully reviewd everything and explained it without me asking! There was some imaging reports missing and she asked me to wait while she retrieved it from the rediologist! Her office manager Margaret called several times and insisted on the reports while I waited. Once received, ten minutes, Dr. Smith called me in the review that, too!!!
When I paid my copay I noticed all of the thank-you cards.
Appointments are scheduled so that Dr. Smith can spend ample time with each of her patients.
Dr. Smith didn't find any gold during my pap, but I found a rare and priceless gem when I found Dr. Smith.
Dr. Smith is Board certified, a published author and she's my doctor until she retires!
I love Dr. Smith. I know everything looks and sounds a little too esoteric for my taste - but just ignore the cling-clang music, grab one of the fantastic magazines and enjoy the - mostly - short waiting time.
The staff is friendly, Dr. Smith takes her time, she explains everything in detail, she makes you feel comfortable and she is a very nice lady.
What else do I want from my obgyn?
Sorry. She's not all that. Don't be disguised by the scented candles and thank you cards. Look at her equipment... look at the posters...nothing is up to date. Although she tries to be thoughtful and arranges for blood tests, she fails to reach the true needs of the patient. Probably a good gyno in her day, but not anymore.
Ok, how many ladies out there love their gyno? Usually, you cringe at the thought, sigh, and say yours is okaaaaay - even if you aren't really happy. After all, this is a visit that must be done! In the past, I miserably settled for other "gyno-mills" or so-called doctors offices, where you wait weeks for an appointment only to watch the doctor zip through an exam faster than Jimmie Johnson waiting in a Nascar pit stop, or get a fast appointment and then wait hours in the reception area. Good times at the gyno...whoo....
By chance, I found Dr. Smith a few years ago and have been coming to her ever since. I feel SO lucky to have found a doctor who is caring, thorough, and proactive about my health!!
Patients will hardly ever wait long for your appointment. Not only are the office staff nice, but they totally understand how to schedule visits! So after checking in, you are quickly (and actually) seen by Dr. Smith (not a random nurse practitioner who consults the doctor outside the room where you can hear them talking, etc). I've rarely even seen another patient waiting with me once I've arrived. I can count on a timely appointment, yet not feel rushed during my visit with the doctor.
The reception area is quiet and calming - soft music, a fountain, air freshener, current fashion mags, pink everything - 100% girly, 0% gyno mill. There are many thank you cards all over the place, sharing one positive patient experience after another. The building is older, but the rooms are all updated while still having comfortable setting.
Dr. Smith listens to her patients and works with them to meet their individual needs, whether it's a simple annual exam or more complex needs like pregnancy, infertility or other reproductive issues. She also explains everything she is doing during an exam, so it's less awkward. She's continually involved in medical academics, and makes an effort to teach as well as treat her patients.
I feel like she genuinely cares about my well being as a patient (she even had notes about my recent graduation - um, wow!). Any questions or concerns I've hand were always well addressed by her. And I'll definitely be calling her when it's bun-in-the-oven time!!!! I heart DR.SMITH!!!
Great OBGYN. Office is clean and pleasant, staff is friendly and accommodating, Doctor Smith is an expert in her field, is thorough, spends time to really listen and to address your concerns and problems. I highly recommend her for your gynecologic needs.
Truly the best ob/gyn/endocrinologist/infertility doctor I've ever had. She was the one to finally diagnose my particular condition and is not only very caring and sympathetic, but spends time listening to your concerns and gives you lots of info. For a while they were overloaded and not taking new patients, but now they have reopened the doors. A very kind and lovely doctor with a calming waiting room (fountain, candles). Highly recommended.
