Currently At Salon Lavish in Covina on Citrus: Aahh Brenda B! What can I say? You make me more beautiful than I already am! lol! jk!
But really, this girl can do hair like no other!! Have known her for years because of another stylist I used to go to and always knew she knew her stuff, but I was already committed to another, & you know about cheating on your hairstyle ettiquette! It's a no-no! Especially If it's in the same salon!
Anyhow, I did always refer others to her of whom may be 5 years later are still going strong! My relationship with my old stylist ended, which put me back on the market as a free agent! So woohoo Brenda, here I came!
I'm extremely picky about who touches my luscious locks! These tricks ain't for kids! But I knew I'd be in good hands with Brenda. I thought I'd try something different and crazy, so I did all of my hair dark , dark brown-almost black, with deep purple panels (peek a boos). Got compliments for weeks!
Now, I'm back to simple and needed a haircut like a mutha! Gave Brenda B. a ring, and not only did she totally transform my hair better than Kim K., yes, that is Kardashian, but she brought me back to life that day! I've been unemployed for quite a while now, depressed & just not myself, and she made me feel top notch, the way I use to be! ; ) And it not only had to do with my new look, but with our conversation as well! She's a very sweet person! Not uppity & stuck up like other stylists (you know who u are!)
So I'll be back this weekend for just a blowdry, cuz she's just that good! Don't get me wrong, I can do my hair and blow it out!!! But just to know it'll be an absolute no-fail bombalicious blowdry & just to be able to sit & chat, I'm in like flynn!!! -

OMG. I cannot tell you how much I love Brenda. She is like the big sister I never had.
My story: Senior year, PROM DAY. I get my hair done at this asian place. OF COURSE they mess up my hair and I should know because I've been getting fobby haircuts my entire high school life. I was sick of these asian girls messing up on my hair because they only knew how to cut/style thin hair. My hair is thick dammit!
Freaking out as I was already late and my date was incessantly calling me, my friend and I stumble upon Brenda's old hair salon. I rush in, asking if there was anyone available who can perform an updo. "Anything better than this mess will do!" I exclaimed. I was lucky that Brenda had just finished her client and offered to fix my mess. It consisted of ORANGE GLITTER they had sprayed onto my hair, and my hair was LOPSIDED. I AM NOT JOKING! Knowing I was in a rush, she took out the glitter without washing my hair, and then proceeded to give me the best prom hairstyle I've ever gotten, in less than 30 minutes. I knew she was a keeper when she fixed my friend's hair free of charge, AND she only charged me half of the updo price since it took her half the time. Not only did I get compliments for my hair that night, but my friend took my prom picture and asked for the same updo.
Fast forward 6 years - Brenda is my gal. I ONLY go to her for haircuts, and let me tell you, she is booked 2 weeks in advance! The reason (besides her color) as to why she is so good, is that she never cuts too much, and cuts my hair exactly to my specifications. Short side swept bangs? No problem. More layers in the front than the back? She can do that too. She even offered to trim my bangs for free since she knows my hair grows out fast.
Why Brenda should be your stylist:
1. You have great conversation with her, and leave feeling you were only there for 10 minutes,
2. She will give you her honest opinion on what looks good on you,
3. Sometimes she offers discounts when she knows that hair gets frizzy during certain times of the year,
4. You can book your appointments by text/email/phone. She responds within a day,
5. She lets you know in advance (before it gets busy) what days she's available so you can make an appointment,
6. You ask her about hair products and she'll tell you it's great, but she won't ever try to push sales. She'll answer your question but will never mention it again unless you bring it up.
I cannot rave how great she is. Seriously, just book an appointment right now. -

I love love love the way Brenda does my hair. She always guides me towards hairstyles that compliment the shape of my face but still manages to keep them looking fresh and updated. I like her honesty, politeness, and professionalism. I went from frizzy dull hair to smooth flowing hair. She does not disappoint. -

I found Jessica through a great referral. We met her a year ago and my husband and I have been going to her since. She is fun, fresh, and funky for a well educated and personable stylist!! She always makes us feel comfortable when we are getting a hair cut which is very important because we always have a difficult time finding someone to trust.she is the very first hair dresser I've ever said "go ahead whatever you think. I trust you!" And the best part is that she doesn't charge for a bang cut! We love Jessica so much we brought her 4 clients all in one day my husband and me to cut out hair! And she rocked it out!
