4 stars for being a great side-of-the-road stand!

Around Breezy Point, there really aren't too many food options. If you drive here, the Breezy Dog cart is very accessible as you can just pull up behind it and park for a few minutes while you enjoy your tasty breezy dog.

You can get a regular hot dog (they have burger and gyros too) but it's definitely worth it to get the breezy dog which is a hot dog drenched in a luscious yellow cheese and a special chili.  My advice though is to pace yourself. You could eat 3 of these hot dogs in one sitting but that might ruin you beach trip, if you know what I mean.

GET A MIlKSHAKE!  Their vanilla shakes are amazing. Creamy, smooth and very welcome on a super hot day.

A food truck is the last thing you would expect to find near this old and desolate military base. It must survive entirely on sun bathers who venture from the ocean for a quick bite to eat during the summer season. Fortunately for the Breezy Dog, fine dining is few and far between in this area, so it has very little competition.

I've eaten here a few times, and each time has been lackluster. Even if you have a strong stomach and don't plan on getting back in the ocean, I still wouldn't recommend the supposedly famous "breezy dog." It's a mediocre hot dog doused in some sort of weird, flavorless, homemade chili. To put it simply, it doesn't sit well in your stomach. However, the ice cream and milkshakes are beyond delicious and they do not skimp on their servings.

Overall, Breezy Dog is a convenience more than anything. If you don't pack a lunch for the beach, at least you can fill up on a quick gyro or hot dog for a decent price. Also, there are plenty of picnic tables nearby to sit down and enjoy your treats. But as enticing as the "breezy dog" sounds, I would stick to the desserts.

Never had anything on the menu besides the cotton candy milkshake. But it is sooooooooooo good! After a nice bike ride across the bridge and through Fort Tilden, this is where I stop before heading back over the bridge. I order the cotton candy milkshake and gulp it down to cool off and give myself a nice treat after a nice bike ride.

For the savvy sea goer who wants a break from the Lady Atlantic to get a bit of food in your stomach, the Breezy Dog is your street meat saviour. This food truck is the only means of functional food for miles, and will be so until the unknowing public finds out about this BK gem. This is the Home of the Breezy Dog, but beware, that mystery meat has gone nuclear, and its no wonder this van is parked next to a derelict military base; they are probably using field rations from the Carter administration to hush the hotdogs they bury under a tower of toppings. I would rather yall grab for the other finger foods available, and go with something thats safe, like ice cream, which they serve in quantity. See all on that beach!

Yesterday, after 7-miles run to the Rockaways, I had a 5-bucks Strawberry&Banana Milkshake there. It was rather guilty, but, at least, well deserved pleasure! And this honest (even if belated) confession should still be considered as the first step to repentance...

Best Milkshakes in rockaway!  If i didn't have one every time i dropped by i would be a few pounds lighter. If that doesnt fill you up, the fries are pretty tasty.
